In the heart of Coquitlam, there lies a restaurant that has been serving its customers for the past 23 years. Founded in 2000, it has become a staple for the locals and visitors alike. The restaurant is proud to serve homemade pasta, sauce, dressing, desserts, and bread. It is not only the food that sets this restaurant apart; it is the heart and soul that goes into every dish. The owner and staff are dedicated to providing excellent service and to making sure everyone feels like family. It is no surprise that they have been selected as the 'Community Minded Restaurant' for the year 2023 by the Tricity.
Pasta Polo is an exceptionally great Italian restaurant that serves quality food. You know the workers take pride in their food and service when they post the restaurant's review articles on the walls. I ordered the Osso Bucco with the Virgin Purple Sour drink. I was served complimentary bread with my entrée that included butter and a bottle of fermented garlic. The bread tasted pretty great on its own while the garlic made it taste much better. The Osso Bucco was delicious with the Bolognese sauce. The side pesto pasta was very good and was well seasoned with parmesan. The non-alcoholic Purple Sour tasted excellent with its exceedingly sweet flavours. The servers were very formal with their customers when it comes to preparing their tables. They check on me as often as possible during busy hours while maintaining a positive attitude. The establishment was dark yet classy and clean. I look forward to eating as this restaurant again to try their other entrees.
We had a wonderful family dinner at this restaurant! The ambiance is truly lovely, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond, being both accommodating and welcoming throughout our meal. We highly recommend the Baked Chicken Parmesan—it was absolutely delicious! A great experience all around!
A Culinary Experience to Remember! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re looking for a dining experience that leaves you craving more, look no further. I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the most exquisite Pasta & Prawns, and I’m still savoring every memory of it. Each bite was a masterpiece—perfectly cooked pasta with tender, flavorful prawns, all bathed in a rich, savory sauce that danced on my palate. The balance of flavors was simply divine, making it one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like we were more than just customers—they made us feel like family. Our server was down-to-earth, warm, and attentive in a way that made the whole evening feel special. Every request was met with a genuine smile and care that is rare to find. The ambiance, the incredible food, and the impeccable service all came together to create a perfect dining experience. I had such a great time, and I’m already counting down the days until my next visit. Highly recommend!
It was a perfect lunch. Kids menu pizza was the same size as the regular pizza. Food and service were both very good. I’d suggest they offer more selections of pizza flavours at lunch time. It’s definitely a good deal to go at lunch. The comfortable meal started with complimentary dinner rolls with garlic oil.
Lovely Italian restaurant. The carbonara was tasty and creamy, pasta is fresh and the sauce was enough to cover all the pasta and not drenched in it. The meatballs were tender and mixed with fresh herbs, a perfect meat side to the pasta. The tiramisu was delicious, creamy melts in your mouth. Definitely coming back to try other dishes
Pasta Polo in Coquitlam is a great spot for a casual meal. The food is delicious, offering a variety of tasty Italian dishes at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a nice place to enjoy with family or friends. Whether you're craving pasta, pizza, or a fresh salad, the menu has something for everyone. Plus, the friendly service adds to the overall enjoyable dining experience!
It’s been a few months since we were here last. We ordered the chicken Marsala and gnocchi. Both were delicious! I love the Marsala sauce! My husband enjoyed the garlic oil that was served with a bun. The bun was ok. Could have been tastier. I enjoy good bread and this wasn’t anything to write home about. Service was excellent. We had Thea and she was great! I also enjoyed their art gallery. So much talent. We will definitely be back.
Spent our Mother’s Day celebration in this restaurant and we had a great time. Everything was awesome from food to their service. Our server even took our photos, too bad I forgot his name. The pizzas were all soo good and my fave was the Anchovy pizza. Pastas were yummy and their desserts too were all a treat. We will surely be back :)
We let our three kids choose the restaurant tonight and they unanimously chose Pasta Polo. Bread and butter to start, and everyone got a hearty serving of pasta. Service was excellent and no one left hungry. I appreciate their work in the community and love supporting small local businesses like this one. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Parking: Easy parking. Kid-friendliness: Our kids love it.
We have ordered takeout before and loved it, so we decided to dine in this time. Very cozy atmosphere and lovely service. The food was so, so fresh and the flavours were outstanding. I ordered the Scusa Mi Pomodoro and I understand now why its a challenge winner - it was to die for, and I cant remember the last time I had such good, fresh, perfectly cooked prawns. Will definitely be back!
Its not the best in the world, but I like getting takeout fettuccine alfredo from here. Its very heavy, the bread is meh, the portion size has shrunk, and the clumps of Kraft parmesan cheese they used to use were a bit off-putting, but I still keep coming back. I really like their fettuccine alfredo. It reheats very well. RIP Pasta Polo Express SFU :(
Food was amazing , atmosphere was excellent. We got the veal parm , eggplant parm , baked chicken penne and carbonate.
Hot food served at event party such as the pastas and chicken parmigiana was not hot enough sadly. Cold food such as the tiramisu and salads tastes great despite event host in charge of food orders.
Beautiful Service. Some quirks with food but not worthy to mention, they made it with service, we will go back definitely. Food
Super great staff, very friendly and professional. Ordered two Btick Oven Pizzas. First time weve ordered Pizza, our Pizza was amazing. So much flavor. The thin crust was so Good! We will definitely order our next pizza from Pasta Polo. Food : 5/5
An excellent place to dine with a very pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding service.
Honestly we used to eat here a lot and lately you can tell the food quality has gone down significantly. We ordered last night and the fettuccini was dry, barely any Alfredo sauce and the chicken barely had any Parmesan cheese on it. My partner ordered the veal which he normally loves and said it was tough and tasted old. His pasta also was dry and didn t have much taste. Really sucks cause we enjoyed going here and ordering quite a bit but now we will be taking our business elsewhere. So disappointing.
I ordered the pesto pasta and a pizza. The pasta was just okay, not very impressive. It felt a bit undercooked and hard, which made it less enjoyable. The flavor of the pesto was decent but nothing extraordinary. However, the pizza was excellent! It had a perfect balance of flavors, a crispy crust, and fresh toppings that really stood out. Overall, a mixed experience great pizza but the pasta could use some improvement.
Amazing restaurant, food is delicious and plenty. Super kind staff
This place is easy to miss. I drove past it for years and always thought I would one day try it. Well we finally did. Im sorry we never went earlier. This is a really great place. The decor and atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. They played old Dean Martin songs which we loved. The food was high quality and very authentic Italian cuisine. Every dish our group had was a hit. Prices were reasonable. Service was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended! We will make this a regular spot for our family.
Oct 22nd 2024: Second visit: We arrive around 6 pm to celebrate my wife s birthday, place was at half full with great Italian music playing on the background. We were sat in a booth and very quick we were 6 by the server to take the order, 2 wine glass 6 oz of Red-rooster Merlot. As an appetizer we ordered shrimp and mushroom, the best that I tried, which I will order next time. We ordered Mc&cheese kids meal, Lasagna and Veal Marsala with Carbonara fettuccine. We had to get 3 boxes to take it home. Def a place to include in your musts when you want to celebrate or hang out with friends. We paid around 105 plus 18% tip because we got a Community Values coupon. First visit around May 2024: We had a dinner here and we ordered 1 kids meal, Carnivore pizza and a Carbonara with 2 Merlot glass wine. Delicious food, the server was very polite and attentive, always concerned about us. We would like to have a coffee and dessert and the options are great but we almost finish our food so no room for those, but next time. You can pay with your phone scanning your receipt, so no machines anymore! A place to visit at least once a month! I can t to write 2 reviews thats why I edited the post plus more pics
Wow! Havent been here in a few years. The food was so delicious. The leftovers we took home were still amazing days later! We are going back and we are taking friends!! Vegetarian options: Delicious!!!!
Got takeout for a large family dinner. Food arrived nicely packaged and identified, and we appreciated the lack of plastic. All of the pasta dishes were delish and popular. The garlic bread was a bit of a miss though, too harsh in flavour.
Went to Pasta Polo in Coquitlam for a wedding rehearsal dinner tonight. The food and service was amazing! Of note the red sauce on the chicken Parm was incredible. Highly recommend the food here. Thank you Pasta Polo. I really enjoyed the experience.
Delicious food, authentic Italian food. Service was very attentive
We had a memorial service there on Monday The Server was aussum great wine and good food
Delicious meal, be sure to have the tiramisu !!!
Food was amazing customer service was great will for sure be going back Vegetarian options: Yes Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Ordered Carbanera, Bolognese, and a Hawaiin Pizza for takeout. It arrived promptly and hot very delicious!
Love the garlic oil! Scusa mi Pomodoro is dry but good
Tried their Pizza and It was fantastic the crust was chewy, delicious and the perfect thickness. Would definitely recommend it.
Went with a group. Food was a bit slow coming out. Shrimp was chewy but the pasta was delicious.
I ve been coming to a Pasta Polo for almost 25 years now and have always loved their pasta and they exceptional service. If you have not tried this restaurant, treat yourself, you will not be disappointed!!!
i ordered chicken penne on uber eat. its no difference from pre-packaged food from a general supermarket. the pasta and cheese were hard. Food
Very yummy pasta and interesting menu! Love the vibe that it s kid friendly!
Today we had very pleasant lunch at Pasta Polo, the server Teodora was very professional and one the best experiences in Pasta Polo , thank you to the whole team
Below average quality and unprofessional customer service!
Good food good atmosphere. Good service.
Authentic Italian pastas, yummy thin crust pizza and I highly recommend the prawn and mushroom saute. They also have a take and bake menu. For one or six people. Have been going for years and will continue going.
It was absolutely amazing! The food and service were wonderful! Come and try it! Food : 5/5
The owner is a joy. Shes mostly in, so the service is amazing. Great Italian food with a little twist , keeps the Italian taste..
I ordered from here and I found it was very dry with very little flavour. I ve had fast food pasta that has tastes better. I ve also have had very expensive pastas that were well worth the money. I would not recommend. When you pay around $70 for two pastas and get 2 small slices of plain baguette to accompany them, it s pretty disappointing. I won t order from here again.
Amin L .LEGEND. ICON. THE MOMENT. SUPERSTAR. GIVE HIM A RAISE! Amazing service here, such a fun and great time! First time coming here, not my last! AGAIN Amin is life
Warm friendly service, good comfort food, cozy ambiance.
Lovely old school Italian family restaurant located a few minutes away from Coquitlam Central Skytrain station. We tried their latest creation Scusa Mi Pomodoro. Handmade pasta Aglio olio sundried tomatoes, fresh seafood and the chicken parm with fettuccine Alfredo. Both were very good. We received a warm welcome from owner/chef AhYoung and excellent service from the wait staff. Menu is huge. Pizzas are made from scratch and fired in their brick oven. If you re in the Tri-cities area give this place a try. Kid-friendliness: Activities for the kids will get them off their phones and tablets.
Restaurant felt like stepping back in time. Very retro, nice but quirky servers, olive garden quality food. Tiramasu was good.
Such good service and food. Best mozzarella sticks I ve ever had.
Won a giveaway to try their new family meal. $60 is a great deal for 1 salad, pastas, and 1 pizza. However, I wish we could choose from their whole menu selection instead of the more plainer dishes offered. I really wanted to try their pesto. The owner lady was really nice and really welcoming . She was really happy we were there. However, the service was all over the place. The pastas came before the salad and sharing utensils and grated cheese/pepper were not given to us until we ate half the pastas already. When we finished, the server really pushed for us to have drinks and dessert. When we declined, she said well, I guess thats it. I gave a tip anyway and I hope it was shared with everyone. The complimentary bread and garlic oil was ok. The garlic oil was fantastic (hard to scoop the garlic pieces) but the bread would really benefit if it was warm. House green salad was really fresh. The dressing was on the sweeter side. The chicken penne with sundried tomato cream sauce was tasty. It was good but I didnt taste much of the sundried tomatoes. There were plenty pieces of chicken! Loved the freshly made penne - texture was awesone. Italian sausage mafalde was not mafalde but linguine. This one lacked any flavor. The pizza was super thin and the dough was really good. I wish the layer of cheese was thicker. All in all dishes were hit or miss and the service was a little confusing. On one hand, this place seems more fancy with the brick oven pizzas and the nice decor. On the other hand, the service was much like casual family style restaurants like Dennys.
Best pasta place ever! Coqui forms can be organized here.
I came here on a friends recommendation and the pasta was so delicious!! There are a variety of drinks and the atmosphere is so nice that I think it would be a great place to come with your partner. Creme Brulee is a must
Best Pasta & Pizza ever!!!
Amazing food, cozy restaurant and very considerate owner
My god. The pasta is amazing. I love fresh pasta and pasta polo has some great chefs because their pasta is cooked to perfection everytime. We have some great Italian cuisines in lower mainland however this is one of the best!
Great food and service, kept the water full all the time and had great recommendations. Just not sure how many times the olive oil and garlic spread for the bread gets reused or if some one double dips the spoon.
Great pasta. Always a favourite for birthday dinners
There is no ham, no bacon, no onion, and absolutely no cream in Carbonara! And pasta should be long, and not Penne! This is like Canadian buffet style!
I ordered meatballs marinara , it was at the table in less than 7 minutes and the meatballs were not fresh , I told the server and she spoke to manager and they offered to microwave it for me . I said no I wont eat it and they charged us full price for the meal I left on the table . I wont return and I would not recommend this place if you want fresh meatballs .
Came here after a recommendation. My chicken penne was good however my husbands meatball marinara was not. The meatballs were not fresh and cold in the middle. When we expressed this the manager offered to reheat it and offered no sort of percentage off the bill. Disappointing for a dish that wasn t even eaten and left on the table.
My sister and I had our birthday dinner there tonight, there were 8 of us in our party... it was all fantastic! I myself had the veal parmigiana with linguine in rose sauce....it was very tasty they also have a special menu that includes soup or salad, a main meal and dessert for a very decent price the service was fantastic with some added special birthday touches honorable mention to the warm buns and garlic oil that is complimentary at the table roasted garlic that has been marinating in the olive oil it is served in yuuuuummmmmy!!
Thumbs up to the kitchen staff. Hope management will keep it up!.
The pasta is always fresh, and the service was very good when we attended.
First time here! Very friendly staff. Food is excellent! Taking home the salad dressings .. they are AWSOME! You can but by the bottle Highly recommend, you will wonder why you did not try them sooner Garry and Wheng
The garlic oil was delicious.
Delicious food and excellent service!
The food is delicious the service is good, really liked this place
Pasta Polo Coquitlam: A Culinary Gem in Coquitlam, BC Nestled in the heart of Coquitlam, Pasta Polo has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 2001. With two decades of culinary excellence under its belt, this Italian gem has become a beloved fixture in the community. The driving force behind Pasta Polo s success is its passionate owner. Chef Ahyoung Baek s to quality, creativity, and authenticity shines through in every dish. Whether it s crafting house-made pasta or perfecting sauces, her dedication elevates the dining experience. Basically everything is in-house made and their signature Garlic Oil - OMG, you must simply buy a bottle or two of it. Pasta Polo is also the local Art Exhibit. Founded during the pandemic, struggling artists were allowed to display their works on the walls of their private dining room. As you savor your meal, take in the vibrant colors and thought-provoking pieces a feast for the eyes alongside the culinary delights. Pasta Polo s menu is a symphony of flavors. From classic spaghetti Bolognese to innovative seafood linguine, each dish is a harmonious blend of fresh ingredients and culinary expertise. The locally sourced herbs (some they grow right in the front of the restaurant) and scratch-made sauces add an extra layer of authenticity. Talking about authentic, you must get their brick oven pizza too! So, whether you re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving exceptional Italian fare, Pasta Polo Coquitlam is the place to be. Buon appetito! CHEERS!!!!
Amin and Ara are the best very friendly and efficient and perfect customer service I strongly recommend Pasta Polo to everyone Food
Best restaurant ever
I just want to say the waitress here (brunette with glasses, she has bangs) is phenomenal! My friend has gluten and diary allergies (we know this is not the best place for her) but the waitress made sure my friend feel comfortable, introduce her to plenty gluten free and dairy free options. She went out of her way to ensure the garnishes (garlic oil) are safe for my friend. The waitress made amazing lattes for us and overall amazing service. The food here isnt 100% authentic Italian, I mean they put green onion on pasta but it is still good food. Very comforting and filling.
Great social place for networking or family . Ambiance very attractive. Women own. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian lasagna is delicious to me.
Went there yesterday and the food was great. The best mozzarella sticks I have ever had. For mains I had pesto pasta with chicken added and it was delicious. One of the best authentic Italian restaurants in the tri-city. Service was great and friendly.
Best service Ive seen in any restaurant in BC. Food is amazing. Highly recommend this place
Rating is 4.5. This is a gem in Coquitlam to have Italian cuisine in homemade style. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Appreciate its menu has veggie options.
Tonight I had the baked manicotti. While it was good it did come slightly scorched. The service was excellent as usual.
The best experience I ever had Owner is amazing Try there catering they are amazing with reasonable prices with homemade pasta Food : 5/5
Very low quality. Excessive use of oil. And unfortunately, a Tim Hortons wooden spoon for Spressor!! It means disrespecting the customer.. very disappointing.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Food
I had the fettuccine with sun-dried tomatoes Alfredo +mushrooms and it was sooo goood! I loved it ! Vegetarian options: Their menu has a good number of vegetarian options.
Yes, I know I gave an overall rating as two, despite everything being more than two stars, I will get to that The food was absolutely amazing, however, I was NOT impressed how on their website for the 3 course meals they list the prices (FROM $33) of course when you get to the restaurant you see prices on the 3 course can ve over $40. How about listing your menu prices on the website, rather than listing FROM $33......Sure, I could had read it more carefully, but at the same time find it to be a tricky ploy Also, you get a dessert. Who would had thought that the desserts that come with a meal (I got chicken parmigiana with fettuccine Alfredo and chose the cheesecake) who would had thought it would had been a bite size cheesecake? Im thinking it would be a slice, not a bite size ball (disappointing) Will I return? Yes, the food was amazing.....but pricy, so Ill probably come maybe the odd time and Im sure on special occasions. But just look for the ploys
My family and I are truly amazed on the service, quality of food and the family ambience that you find at Pasta Polo Coquitlam. We booked their private Art room for a party of 30 people for a First Holy Communion celebration. The owner Ahyoung was very accommodating and flexible since the beginning of the negotiation of the party room. Everything was done as we requested. She went above and beyond our expectations. During the event, the service was amazing. Taha was our main server and along with the other staff, they made our guests feel welcomed and well attended. We had children s meals with a great variety of food to choose from, ice cream included. For the adults there was a two course meal that also had a variety of choices for everyone (even vegan options). You can also choose to have included the dessert, in this case we brought it ourselves. The pasta is in house made and you can feel that fresh taste. All the food was delicious and portions were so generous. They have also a great selection of wines and other beverages. We would recommend this restaurant 100% if you need an intimate family reunion or even for work. They will arrange it to your needs. I hope this post can help many people who are looking for a venue to do their events or even to go for lunch or dinner. This is a place where all the staff make you feel welcomed and at home with all the politeness and friendliness. Thank you Ahyoung and your team for hosting our special celebration and made it memorable for all of us. Parking: 14 underground parking spots available, their is parking at the back of the restaurant and curbside parking.
I ordered take out and the portion sizes are TINY for 20+ dollars worth of food. 11 Dollars for a crème brûlée is crazy. Overpriced trashy food. Don t come here.
overpriced food and very bland. found a dead bug on one of the chairs, place looks old and unsanitary
VERY SMALL portions. I m very upset about the price vs the portion size. Pasta n service ight though.
8 of us decided to visit Pastapolo last night without a reservation. Amazingly, we were seated right away with no wait time, and our food was served incredibly fast. The portions were generous and tasted homemade I even had leftovers for lunch the next day! All my friends were impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. Notably, they have a lot of letters on the wall showcasing their community involvement, which was very impressive. Highly recommended!
Ive been to this place twice and both times its been an amazing experience. The food, the environment, and the service are outstanding. I especially love the lasagna and the veal scallopini but honestly any item from the menu looks very good. Serving sizes are generous (hey, I live in Texas so I know what I am talking about).
We picked up take outs and quantity was small and too expensive
The patio isn t dog friendly.
OMG, I haven t eaten here in years I can t believe what I ve been missing. I ll be back, repeatedly. Our server, Fabio, was wonderful. Vegetarian options: Gnocchi is delicious Parking: Found, easily
Delicious flavours, very pleasurable ambiance, timely and delightful service blended seamlessly without the high sticker prices of comparable casual elegance restaurants in the Tri City area. The Pasta Polo experience was charming and gratifying truly home-made pasta/sauces/pizza, devoid of over salted and over spiced ingredients allowing the subtle delicacies to come through with every home made mouth-watering bite. This is my GO TO food experience location, beverages are always served with a smile and priced rite! Would give 6 stars, for overall rating from start to finish. Thank you PP team for always bringing me to the flavours that are real and genuine. I will continue to include a stop in to Past Polo for lunches, dinners occasions and just because you gotta love it there!!!!.
Highly recommend
I ve been to this restaurant maybe 4 times scattered over a 15 year time span and the last time was last Monday because of the Tri-City couponbook,, and Woooooow so impressed. Midway eating I looked at my wife and was like it s surprisingly good..! Service was outstanding Livy was exceptional. Looking forward to coming back many times this time more frequently! If you haven t gone after 2023. You haven t really gone. IMO * better than all pasta places in tri-cities. Currently
Always a good time at pasta polo! Food is delicious, love their house made sauces and fresh made pasta. Service was friendly and top tier. If you have room for dessert you must try their tiramisu I just love that they make everything in-house!
Great friendly staff. Fresh pasta and brick oven pizza. Excellent value and atmosphere. Recommend it for family gatherings. Dont forget to pick up a bottle of their honey lime dressing to go.. would be great if I can buy this in stores too (save on foods take note lol). They also have gluten free options and accommodated my allergies with no issues.
Excellent service by Kimia great food recommendations pleasant experience!
Very clean and tidy spot with a beautiful bar and delicious food. The owner is firm but kind and honest woman who looks for the best in her employees. A MUST TRY
Sara was great! Ambience and food quality was careful prepared. Vegetarian options: Tuscan Manicotti Food : 4/5 |
Wonderful service by Sylvie. Great attention to detail.
Great waiter and nice atmosphere. Don t get their Brie spinach salad. I ve had better salads from deli at save on. Supposed to have walnuts and it had two and very little Brie. Just a bunch of spinach leaves with the apples
The food is amazing and the restaurant is extremely clean. Staff are friendly and courteous
A fabulous place and wonderful staff best experience ever thank you so much
Great ambiance and service, the owner was lovely to meet as well, with an incredible story! Would definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options available and they taste amazing!!
We were served by the owner herself. Its a nice place with good ambiance on the inside. The eggplant was definitely 5 stars. Vegetarian options: Definitely a few vegetarian options which also hit the taste mark
Such a friendly environment, super fast service, the owner was very kind, and the food was amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
The food was amazing! Me and my girl friend had such an amazing time and the staff was also amazing. I would definitely recommend and revisit here
Its a five star dining experience with delicious pasta, impeccable service and cozy vibes.
I had pizzas, pastas and salad with group of 30 people, outstanding food!!! Strongly recommended!!
Newly renovated restaurant that has excellent service and decent food. Price is reasonable and plenty of parking. Will definitely go back.
Had a fantastic experience! The environment was friendly and inviting. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the food quality exceeded my expectations. Customer service was top-notch, making the visit truly memorable. Plus, the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend!
Pasta Polo tonight for the very first time ever! When Rosa s was open, we had no need to go anywhere else for Italian, but with her being retired we are experimenting with new places. We all enjoyed everything we ate! From the roasted red pepper soup to the manicotti, vegetable lasagna, spaghetti, Bolognese, cheesecake, and tiramisu; it was all very delicious and we will definitely go back again. Can t wait to try the pizza. Good portion, size as well!
Went here for my parent s wedding anniversary and had a great experience with good foods and kind servers.
Food is alawys hot and fresh, and large portions for price point. Service is professional with a personable and friendly touch!
amazing!!! love the food and vibe. perfect for family
Wow, the Chicken Parm was very good, reminded me of Nonnas.
This is the place to go for pasta anywhere in the Vancouver / lower mainland area. Its always a 5 star meal served by 5 star people. Always enjoy the food and friendly staff.
Delicious risotto
Excellent Kid-friendliness: Excellent

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at your restaurant, particularly thanks to the outstanding service provided by Kimia. She would undoubtedly be a valuable addition to your team.
I had the pleasure of dining at Pasta Polo Restaurant recently, and I must say, the highlight of the entire experience was the exceptional customer service provided by Kimia. From the moment we walked in, Kimia greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel incredibly welcome. Throughout the meal, Kimia went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. She was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered fantastic recommendations. Her genuine passion for providing top-notch service was evident in every interaction we had with her. Not only did Kimia provide excellent service, but she also anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. She made sure our drinks were always topped up, checked in on us regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meal, and even took the time to engage in friendly conversation. Its rare to come across such dedicated and personable staff members like Kimia, and her commitment to providing exceptional customer service truly made our dining experience memorable. Pasta Polo Restaurant is lucky to have her on their team. In conclusion, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Kimia. If youre looking for a dining experience where youll be treated like royalty, be sure to ask for Kimia!
Fred & Ahyoung run an amazing business. They are very dedicated to giving back to the Community. Always enjoy ordering from them and really like their Take & Bake Program. Best Pasta Place around.
Parking: Plenty parking Food
The food was incredible, and the service was even better. Our server Amin, was very friendly and made some great recommendations, and the bartender Alona, was very attentive and personable. She also made great wine pairing suggestions, as well as delicious drinks! Will definitely be returning!
I think I got the mushroom Alfredo, and it was pretty bland. I dont remember what I had at a festival before that, but it was amazing.
Staff is friendly and the food is great value. Overall a great experience.
Was expecting the food to be really great here after seeing all the good reviews but it just wasn t at all. It was VERY bland, like airplane or microwave packaged dinners. I m no chef, but I can cook a way better pasta dish with actual flavour at home. Not worth the price at all.
Ordered the Caprese Salad for take out. Unfortunately I didnt open the container until after I got home. When I did I saw that there was no bocconcini. Disappointed that I paid over $20 for some slices of tomato with onion.
Fresh homemade pasta
The food was really delicious and good and tasty but the portions were very small and very expensive for the same price at pasta polo you can go any where else and get two meals Instead of just one but the food did taste good the marinara sauce was nice the customer service was good and pleasant lots of greetings all the time and the atmosphere ambiance was nice too overall I enjoyed going there but it was really pricey for what I got
Have been here multiple times ! They never fail to disappoint with their food and hospitality! Love sitting in the patio area
Amazing food! After a long hike this is exactly the kind of food I wabt to eat!
Pasta Polo is an excellent medium priced Italian food restaurant in Coquitlam B.C. Our recent visit for an early dinner was a Joy and our waiter Mikkel went a long way to making sure our meal experience was excellent. The Pasta was delicious, both with the meal, and the next day as leftovers. The Saffron Mussels which were shared as an appetizer, were delicious, The surprise Birthday Dessert that Mikkel brought made our meal even more special. We will be back!
Good portions, nice staff. Don t expect AAA Italian food though, but it s tasty for the most part. I ended up having stomach issues for the rest of the week after I had this, so be weary of that.
Amazing experience overall our server Mikkel was so polite and was extremely efficient when it came to taking our orders and getting us our drinks and food, we left a generous tip for that young gentleman and will definitely be coming back again!
Will definitely be ordering and/or dining in. Fabulous food.
Got 2 take out pizzas for $45. Margherita and Pesto Bianca Pizza. They were 10 wide on the nose and very sparsely decorated. Did not feel that we got our money worth. In fact makes me wonder why anyone is getting pizza take out, such a rip off.
The food is good. It s not special and it would be unfair to compare with some of my other favourite pasta places. It s not bad either. You can t go wrong coming here for a meal. It s priced right portions are good. The service is fantastic and this is where this place shines. My server tonight was Amin, and he made the night great. He represents the true value of this place which is good service. So a thank you to him for a great night and for any one that has not been here yet I highly recommend you come here with solid expectations of good food and great service. Ps the deserts are actually amazing. That would be a 5 star from me.
Absolute gem that we discovered accidently while passing through Coquitlam. Reminiscent of an old school Italian restaurant, the food and service was excellent.
Pizza wasnt the greatest
Wonderful food
I was so disappointed last night when I went for my favourite dish..Lasagna! The sauce is not the same as it was before Pasta Polo was sold. I noticed a different look and taste to the sauce as soon as it was placed in front of me. I won t be going back.
OMG me and my husband finally had a date night and JUST had the best dinner and service we have ever had. If you want the best Italian food this is the place! The restaurant is so clean and hygenic. The service was next level I would give it an 11/10 if I could. The owner even attends the tables to make sure your experience is nothing but the best. We loved it so much we bought gift cards to keep us coming back !
Wow talk about an experience and perfect pasta. First to start we had the in house made bread with a garlic olive oil with chunks of garlic. We nearly drank it, it was so good. Then the mains came out and we thought we would have left overs but for the first time ever we finished the dishes because we could not stop eating the chicken parmigiana. To finish the three courses we had the ice cream which hit every last taste palette. Our server, the manager and even the OWNER were constantly at our table to make sure everything was ok. We haven t had this 5 star experience in a very long time.
The food and service were good overall, but we felt a bit rushed by the waiter checking in on us every 5-7 minutes, which gave us the impression we needed to leave sooner, even though there were seats available for incoming guests. While still eating, we were asked if we needed a box, and the waiter inquired about our meal satisfaction multiple times, which, despite being well-intentioned, felt repetitive since our opinions on the food wouldnt change during the meal. Additionally, finding a parking spot was challenging.
My Family & I we went to to pasta polo for the first time and the food was good and big serving we very suprised for the size of the meal. I love my Mango orange mimosa and the seafood risotto was excellent. I even order another one for to go . We definitely coming back. Parking: Huge parking.
Dining alone while on business and this place was a gem. The pasta was excellent and the roasted garlic oil to die for. Vegetarian options: Nice to see lots of marked vegetarian options on the menu.
When you crave authentic homemade pasta and traditional Italian food, this is the only place to go in the city! Ask for their in house garlic oil to compliment your bread or any dish you order. Parking: 10 spots behind the restaurant and then a lot of street parking Kid-friendliness: Perfect kids pasta and pizza options Wheelchair accessibility: Roll on up!
The food, while good, isnt particularly memorable (except their buns! Those were great) however the prices are pretty reasonable, the decor is this nice mixture of Ikea chic with modern Italian rustic with industrial that somehow works, and the staff are exceptional! Well for sure be coming back. A couple of standout notes: the meatballs were okay. The marinara sauce it was in was GREAT but the meatballs could be improved with a touch more salt and if they were to incorporate some roasted sage, it would knock those suckers out of the stratosphere. Especially with that absolutely killer garlic oil of theirs. The alfredo sauce is not a traditional Italian sauce with just butter, fresh parm, and pasta water BUT it isnt bad for North American alfredo sauce. Its not as sweet as most North American alfredo sauces are, which is a nice change of pace. What they do REALLY well is that they take the time to cook out the flour in their roux which adds this really good depth of flavour and a bit of an earthy taste which I very much appreciated. Very few restaurants, short of a legitimate Louisianan restaurant making a proper gumbo, take that time (all of five minutes if youre in a rush) so that was a breath of fresh air this frustrated chef wannabe loved. Dietary restrictions: They do have some gluten free options, but if youre hoping for GF pizza, look elsewhere. They also seem to have a decent selection of pescatarian, vegetarian, and even a few vegan options. Parking: Probably about 20-40 parking spots between above ground and underground parking. Kid-friendliness: We went on date night so I cant speak to how kid friendly it is, however they do have a kids menu Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible from what I noticed, but Im not a wheelchair user (cane user) so I wasnt impacted by that. There are limited parking spots and I didnt notice any handicapped parking spots (I have a decal so I look out for that)
Great food cool music
Amazing bread, great service
First time here. Been driving by this place for a few years and finally was able to make it. Had the valentine day 3 course meal. It was delicious. It was super busy and our server (forgot his name) was very attentive, made sure we were well taken care off, checked up on us often (just enough especially to give us space). Even though they were busy, food came quick, drinks came quick. Will definitely come back here!
The prices do not match the quality of the food.
Really nice place near me. Definitely want to go again and try some other choices. Vegetarian options: Had a few vegetarian options if you wanted to order them
We ve had lunch there today. The Fish was disgusting . It was tasteless and raw
First time at Pasta Polo and it was amazing! The food was so good, everyone was extremely friendly BUT our waiter named Taha was the best waiter I ve ever had!!! He was so pleasant, made sure we were happy with our drinks and food & even brought us a little dessert (that was out of this world) for free. The best part was that Taha took the time to talk to us before we left and he was smiling the whole time he was with us. Taha thank you for making our first experience here so memorable, we will definitely be back to have this amazing food and to see you!!!
We went to Pasta polo for lunch and we chose two of their courses which was awesome I loved everything and for sure I will go there again and strongly recommend it Food
Fabulous food and service Taha k was such a professional server and very kind we had lots of fun . We got two 3 meal course specials. Salads were super fresh and tasty, topped with Parmesan cheese . We got lasagna the sauce was very rich . Each main course was huge and delicious. The desserts were even better than the food. The raspberry top on ice cream was heavenly fresh They were very fresh and clearly home made.
Amazing food, very fresh. Great to see quality did not change after the recent change of ownership. Taha was an amazing server, he overheard me saying happy birthday to my girlfriend and brought a candle in the cheesecake that we ordered, and told her it was my idea. We got 2x of the three course special, which included an appetizer, main dish, and desert. The Caesar salad was amazing and super fresh. The lasagna was amazing, and the cheese cake was very flavourful. We spent only about 35 each for all these items, very good value, and very good quality. Portions are huge despite the high quality of food. Definitely a hidden gem.
I ve used Pasta Polo for the last two years at our annual December work meeting. Each time we get awesome feedback on the food. Everything is so delicious and flavourful. People can t get enough of it. The owner is kind and wonderful to deal with, she ll help you order depending on the amount of people and what type of options are suitable for your event. I highly recommend giving them a try!
Great restaurant and great staff and delicious food and very respectful owner highly recommend it Vegetarian options: Fresh and delicious
A Wonderful lunch at Pasta Polo - Thanks to Della! Our experience at Pasta Polo was fantastic, and Della played a significant role in making it memorable. From her warm welcome to her attentive and friendly service, she truly went above and beyond. Dellas recommendations were spot-on, reflecting her deep knowledge of the menu. Her attention to detail and professionalism in managing our orders added a special touch to our dining experience. Pasta Polos charming ambiance coupled with Dellas exceptional service makes it a standout choice. We highly recommend this restaurant, and if youre fortunate enough to meet Della , youre in for a treat! Thank you, Pasta Polo, and a special thanks to Della for making our experience so enjoyable!
Food was bland, meatballs tasted like they burnt the sauce, minestrone was overly sweet, gnocchi cheese had no flavour, Alfredo had no seasoning at all...
Food was amazing. Had the lasagna and chicken Alfredo. The service and hospitality is what makes it special though. Everyone is super friendly and kind. 100% reccomend.
The bread they brought at first with butter was not fresh. Otherwise, the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
We brought two friends with us for dinner. The pasta and chicken parmigiana dishes were very good. It was great that the kitchen allowed us to switch the potatoes that came with the parmigiana dishes for pasta instead. The veal parmigiana was very disappointing. The veal portion was paper thin and very tiny. The kitchen tried to make the veal piece look bigger by surrounding it with a ring of tomato sauce. Very disappointing. The red sauces are very favourable, as good as Nonna makes! The service was way below standards. Very unfriendly and not pleasent. We were not offered the opportunity to have dessert! Lastly, when we were brought to our table, we saw a fork on the floor that obviously one of the servers had dropped. The fork remained on the floor for about 30 to 45 minutes before someone decided to pick it up. Servers just kept walking by it. This was our second experience here. We enjoyed our first visit very much and we brought our friends on our second visit. It was a very disappointing dining experience. We will give it one more try before we make a final decision as to whether or not to recommend Pasta Polo to others.
I had high hopes for this restaurant after reading positive reviews, but we were disappointed. It just wasnt that good and was really quite expensive! The service was okay and the atmosphere was decent, but I cant see returning to pay this much money for something that wasnt that enjoyable.
This is my second time here, it tastes good.
My friend and I got very ill and the owners response was in good faith we will give a $25 gift card . Side note Our meal before tip was 75 bucks, the y claim they did an investigation in what was only hours .How could one possible do a proper investigation in such a short period of time. I m not looking for a free meal I don t plan on coming back. Just do the right thing and find out what went wrong . Very disappointed in owners response and lack of accountability Go at own risk
Zero star is even overrated! I had an extremely disappointing experience at Pasta Polo. Initially, we were told a table would be ready in 15 minutes, despite many empty seats. After a 30-minute wait, the manager said we could sit but would have to wait an hour for food because of other large parties. Confusingly, a server then informed us that they were instructed not to seat more guests, contradicting the managers statement. When we sought clarification, the manager responded rudely and dismissively, showing a lack of professionalism and customer care. Feeling undervalued and disrespected, we decided to leave, despite the managers apology. This visit was marred by poor communication, long wait times, and unprofessional management. **Final Thoughts:** Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Pasta Polo. The service and management were significantly below expectations!
Don t want to express the reasons for the 1 star publicly. If the management want to reach out I ll explain. Needless to say we will not be going back to this place.
Food was ok. Ive had Michelinas from a microwave package of similar quality. Sausage was overcooked and dry, pasta wasnt special and wasnt al dente. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was ok, theres literally nothing that absorbs sound so it gets loud quite quickly in there. Prices were comparable to Antons but a lot less food.
We held my babys baptism in their private room with 30+ of my close friends and family. From planning to execution, Ahyoung was attentive and accommodating to all our requests. The only thing better than their food is the staff who genuinely care about your experience and going above and beyond to ensure you are well taken care of. All our guests left the restaurant happy and satisfied. I highly recommend if youre looking for a venue for the upcoming holiday season!
I came here today with my family because I heard of this place from one of my employees. It was my first time at the restaurant. And I m glad to say I will be happy to come back again. The food and service was spot on!
The food was great, and the atmosphere was like being in Italy. Would recommend this little gem if you want to try something new .
We loved our first experience at Pasta Polo. We came to celebrate a friends birthday and were quite happy and satisfied with everything - the ambiance, the service, the food, everything was top notch. We will most definitely plan for this place again! Our server was Fabio, and he was fabulous.
Went with a large group and had an ok experience. I personally had the 3 course meal for $35.00. The minestrone was bland and the pasta was undercooked. And the main course was ok, nothing special. And the cheesecake came out looking like an Icecream scoop which was an interesting way to present it. The cheesecake was the best thing I had, but I feel like it was only because we got the mango drizzle on top as per recommendation by our server. Another person at the table had the chocolate drizzle and it wasn t nearly as good. Service was friendly and good. One of the servers was really funny and improved the experience, however before people finished their food and before dessert was even brought out they kept asking us if we wanted boxes/take out. They close at 10 and were asking us about take out at 9. Made it feel like they were trying to rush us out an hour early. It was ok. Not sure if I d recommend it or come back.
Waiter forgot about us and took awhile for him to remember that he had not taken our order. The calamari appetizer was cold. Had to track the waiter down because he forgot the Ceasar salad that should have come with the calamari, the bread he promised 25 minutes ago, and the meatballs on my pasta. It would have been nice if the meatballs that came after had the same sauce as my pasta. I ask why and the lady waitress said they had a fair bit of walk in and there are only 3 waiters. I counted 5 tables total. The food was not worth the $75 we paid. Whatever happened to this place?
Ended up waiting to be seated in an otherwise empty restaurant. Staff were no where to be seen or greet in coming customers. Kind of a bummer, from my first visit many years ago. The bread brought to the table should be fresh and toasted/light charred. The service could be sharper and more interactive. I don t think the restaurant shows the same potential I saw years ago.
I am very impressed with how they went above and beyond when I dropped my bag of food. They remade a lasagna and re-bagged all the food. Their curry cream linguini is delicious.
Great Brick oven pizza. The service was stellar I ll be definitely recommending this restaurant
I like it
Dec 8th 730 pm Scale of 1 to 10 Food, 6ish Cocktails, 4ish not even what we ordered twice over !!! Service, 2ish what service ??? Very disappointed, for first time experience Will not be returning
