Its delicious The service is good so I go often with my kids. You also get a 10% discount if you eat during happy hour.

This Korean BBQ spot is absolutely one of my favs in Lougheed. The pork and beef bbq and also side dishes were as flavorful as they were plentiful. The bibimbap was super comforting and the soups were rich. The store was quite busy but very welcoming with the staff. Food

Food is great for taste, and better than nearby restaurants in the mall. However, one of the hotpot I ate was having a freeze cold pumpkin. When I ate it, the inside of pumpkin is freeze cold. They only cook the meat but get the pumpkin from the freezer. End up.. I have diarrhea whole night and went to bathroom for 3 times :( Other than this, food are great taste honestly

Came to try this place out for Korean BBQ and ordered the Luxury Set A. They gave a huge variety of meats in satisfying quantities, and the food tasted amazing. Quality, top-notch service from friendly staff and clean, family-friendly atmosphere. 100% recommend and will visit again soon!

Ate the Makguksu (buckwheat noodle salad) and LA Galbi (ribs) Combo with my friend. Absolutely stunning visuals and the taste is even better. Fabulous customer service, constantly checking up on us to ensure the quality of our stay is good. The marinated crab is also insane, especially if you mix it into your rice. Best recommendation for Korean food in the whole area!

The staff was really amazing and the seats was spacious.. six people in each table, perfect for lunch or dinner BBQ with Family . There is a lot of options. One of my favorite was the marinated spicy crab which is really hard to find in Vancouver. Definitely check this place out!

It s been a while since I wanted to eat Todam duck dish. I ordered the duck set menu. Came out about 35 minutes after ordering. I tried roasted duck meat. Is it because of low preference? It has a strong smell that has been frozen for a long time. I dont know about anything else, but this isnt it. No more employee service

Went as table of 7. We all enjoyed the food- none of us did table top bbq but got some of the single menu items (bibimbap, kalbi jjim, one of the combo meals). On google and in the review pics and menu pics, they have table top beef intestines listed as a menu item. Its the one reason we chose this restaurant. When we went (sept 2024), they did not have this item- only pork intestine and it comes out pre-grilled. Do not come here if you want beef intestine. The service was also not great- they only give you one tablet that has the menu so with 7 people at the table , it obviously takes time to select what we want . They came over a few times and kept reminding us there is a 2 hour seating limit in a rushed tone that made us all feel uncomfortable. Whenever we called to ask for something (they have the button to call for service), more than once they would acknowledge us, saying one second be right back, then just walk away. We had to ask multiple times for things like scissors or extra napkins etc. Also- if you drink their water here, they give it to you in one of those water cannisters. We took the lid off and we saw there was mold - wiped it with a napkin and a bunch of black stuff came off. They clearly dont wash those lids

It s impossible to make a reservation on Todam! So I visited on Wednesday night, still this restaurant is so busy all the time! but thankfully the wait lines turned very quick so i didn t need to wait so long. Great food with very friendly staffs, efficient and quick service as well. I was annoyed honestly but now i totally understand why Todam is so impossible to get in without waiting. I always visit this place when I crave for k-bbq. Good portion of meet, and comes out with delicious side dishes and many choices of sauces. Side menus are also good, I love their soy bean paste soup and cold noodles. 100% recommend this place. yum!

The meat is okay but the price is on the expensive side. The meat is not delicious enough to be worthy of it. The price is 50 yuan per person. It is not full. The raw pickled crab is not recommended for dine-in. It is not recommended for more than six people. It is also a grill pan and it is very crowded. The main point is that the service attitude is very poor Korean style. It s basically not possible to refill the side dishes at the barbecue. Ask her to add a kimchi face. It s smelly enough. It takes eight of us to give one side dish to each person. One kimchi is not enough. Lack of staff is not our problem. We are not forcing you to give us immediately. Please give us two at a time. I came here because I don t want to bother you so many times. The side dishes given to one person for eight people are really ridiculous. The overall feeling is very poor. I feel that I was cheated by the rating. The ingredients are washed out. Overall, I do not recommend other better restaurants.

Came on a Sat night and waited for almost an hour before getting seated. Our tablet broke and we had to wait a while before realizing the order didnt go through. We also had to keep asking for tea/ hot water. Overall, the service felt very passive. But the food was amazing. Ordered a luxury set for 6 people and we had lots of leftovers take home.

The meat is either not fresh or bad quality. Not worth $30 per person. The bulgogi (beef) was hard to chew and very dry. Marinated pork is just the same. This was my second time here and both experience with the meat were bad. This restaurant doesn t care about customers. Please save your money and spend it on good quality food.

This is our first time coming to have lunch here. After craving and searching for the Korean bbq restaurant for a while to celebrate my belated birthday, finally we decided to come here, and I would say this is our best decision!! This time we ordered Bul Jib Pork Belly, Beef Tongue and Spicy Clam Bibimbap. Those dishes are perfect and very flavorful. Also, we re very impressed with the environment and the service. Overall, we had a wonderful time here, and we will definitely come back again to try other menus for sure!!

Overall, the experience at this restaurant was mid at absolute beat. It really deteriorated in quality after the renovations. The food was alright but extremely overpriced. Compared to most K-BBQ restaurants, Toedam is around 10% higher in price and the quantity of the meat was less than average. It is laughable, especially coming from such a highly rated restaurant. Not only is the meal not worth the expensive price, but the service from one specific waitress was horrible. It ruined our perceptions of this restaurant s integrity and kindness. The male waiters were welcoming and friendly, but one of the waitresses kept repeating and cutting off our questions about our order. We were wondering when our meal would come after a while of waiting, and the waitress bossily told us to just wait, just wait, just wait. When I am paying at a restaurant, I expect at the very least, a little friendliness. None of which I got from this waitress.

Parking: Spicy duck stew for lunch, great spot for Korean BBQ! Food

My husband and I drove from Langley on July 27th and decided to try this restaurant after seeing all the good reviews. The food was okay, we ordered the combo and seafood pancake but we didn t enjoy most of the meat. The service was bad - It felt like we weren t welcome there and we were being rushed. I m not sure why we were treated this way, but it made the whole experience very uncomfortable. We spent nearly $200 and it wasn t worth it in the end. I wouldn t go back or recommend this place to anyone.

I was very sad that i got sent off for wanting to order for one? Idk why they refuse to serve but it was quite unpleasant. Drove 30 mins to eat here just to find out they don t accept table for one

Solid kbbq and excellent service! Came here for dinner n drinks with friends. The japchae was really good and if you re feeling adventurous try the soy marinated crab! They even had a variety of soju to choose from.

had their assorted marinated seafood, soybean soup and spicy pork intestine and they were all FIRE. i would HIGHLY recommend the assorted seafood dish for those of you who like marinated raw crab, to try all the seafoods!! the raw shrimp was my personal favourite the staff was very nice as well, and the food came out pretty fast especially thanks to their ipads you can use to order with. overall a 11/10 experience!!

Be ware that this restaurant charges different prices for the same dish. Some people pay $29.99 or $33 when ordering through Uber Eats, while others who call the restaurant directly and pick up the same dish end up paying $35. When I called to ask about it, they said theyd get back to me, but I never heard from them again.

The food was good however, the waitress knocked over the bottle of soju on the table spilling it onto my bag, pants, and shoes. She was very apologetic and accidents happen which is ok. But she did not offer to replace the bottle of soju or offer a discount as at least half the bottle was spilled onto the table and surrounding area. The area is full of amazing Korean restaurants and I will most likely go elsewhere in the future.

Food is on the pricier end, but expected for Korean bbq. Compared to other Korean bbq, this is definitely on the better quality side of things. We visited Toedam Restaurant for a family outing after a long time. However, the waitress service made us very uncomfortable. Although we did not want to give any tips, we decided to do so to avoid spoiling the atmosphere for our family. Nevertheless, we do not wish to visit again.

This is my first time here. Been wanting to try and the food was clean and did not disappoint. The right amount at the right quality. Service was decent but we came at a slow time. Felt a little unattended I was surprised they had the raw soy crabs! So I ordered that. The Korean bbq meat portion is quality like most should be. So that wasn t anything special for me. But the grill was nice and hot so the pork belly cooked well.

Korean waitress working here on June 28 friday PM with a slim and long face displayed a very unprofessional and rude attitude - including rolling her eyes and giving a dirty look.

We got the marinaded pork lunch combo, which was enough food for 3 people (maybe even 4). The food was very delicious and arrived quickly. The combo came with grilled mackerel, egg soufflé, clam bibimbap, a pork dish, tofu soup, 3 bowls of rice, side dishes, and an entire plate of soy marinated seafood (scallops, shrimp, octopus and crab). My favorite of all the dishes was surprisingly the tofu soup, although everything was tasty overall.

I have to many restaurants in this strip mall, so decided to try this one out. It was okay, but better places to select from in the Plaza. We did a combo and felt that compared to other places, the portions were pretty small and the prices were a little bit expensive for what you get. The Seafood Pancake was not as crispy as I liked. Parking was easy as they had an entire parking lot for the Plaza. Service was great though, very attentive and very friendly crew.

Not sure if they changed the owner, it was a bad experience as we were treated in a rude way. I ordered spicy cold noodles which had little amount of broth and asked for a little more of it. But I was told Ok, but you will be charged without any explanation. I dont understand why there should be a charge for one spoon of broth. When we got to pay, we were told the bill couldnt be split in 5 but only in 3...they we paid together. We dont mind offering convenience to the staff by paying together, but the whole experience there from the beginning to the end was just making us more and more annoyed. As for food, we didnt order BBQ, stone rice are ok but in small portion, the cold noodles are honestly the worst.

Worst dining experience I ve ever had. I used to love the food and service here but now it definitely changed. TLDR; Ridiculous services, small portions of food, nightmare experience. While we were waiting for our tables we went shopping at Hmart and bought some drink. After we sat down, the waitress told us no outside drinks even though there were no signs saying that. Then when my friend got her spicy cold noodles, she asked if she could have more broth, because there was so little broth that it looked pathetic. The waitress simply said you will be charged. ?? Did not know such rude words could ever come out of a waitress s mouth but here we are. Then when we were ready to pay, we asked for separate bills and there were 5 of us, but the waitress refused to spilt the bills into 5, saying the maximum they can do is 3 separate bills. Horrible services through and through and they just had to do this even at the end as if they are on a competition of who can provide the worst service. Every second you sit in that restaurant it only gets worse. See you never.

I visited several times because the meat was of good quality. Every time I visited, the waitress working there made me feel bad, so I thought it would be better if that woman wasnt there, but when I visited a few days ago, the woman was also working, so I didnt feel like it, but there was a group of people there with me, so I just went in. However, as expected, I was left speechless by the stern facial expression, hard speech, and attitude that could not be attributed to someone working in the service industry. Looking at other peoples reviews, I dont think Im the only one who feels this way, but I dont understand why people like that continue to work. I don t think I ll ever eat at Todam again in the future. There are many meat restaurants, even if they are not Todam.

The tall skinny female server has a bad attitude and very petty. We went there with a group of 6 and ordered around $500 worth of food. Didn t serve water until we asked. When the waitress served us the two same salad we ordered, She insisted to leave them on the same side of the stove though we asked otherwise for obvious convenience reason. Then when we asked if we can have more side dishes(which has always been free for refill. Some of us came here every month). She said they aren t unlimited. With suspicision of her being vindictive, we asked another waitor if they changed the rule, he said THERE IS NO LIMIT , I can grab more for you guys. Used to be really good service and food with decent price. We understand they changed the set menu to include more carbs and less meat due to the cost being raise. But this attitude and lying to customer is UNACCEPTABLE.

Not as good anymore. I think they had owner change or something changed. We used to go a lot but recently their marinate taste different and quality of beef has gone down. Safe are also less friendly, they were rushing other tables to finish because their space was small. Before the servers would help each table grill the meat to start the first round, now no one did that. Service is worse now but they ask tables to make Google review so that they give you free stuff. Unable to make reservations for smaller groups and long waittimes as there were not many tables. Wouldnt recommend as price has also increased and portion size has decreased.

The scenery of this city is so beautiful, the people I meet are kind, the environment is good, and the air quality is very good Parking: This is the Vancouver Metrotown shopping mall, with ample parking spaces in the underground garage. Take the SkyTrain and get off at Vancouver Metrotown Station. Take the bus and get off at the Vancouver Metrotown Bus Terminal. If you go to Metrotower Building 2, get off the bus and face the Metrotown shopping mall. On the right hand side is the Fountain Pool Plaza.

- Returning 3 years later - Good food, good service, and looks like they did a big reno! Would come back :) - The food was actually pretty good but the service is the reason for 2 stars. We had arrived at 7:45pm last night - the waitress let us know last call was at 8pm and they closed at 8:30 (which was fine because we just wanted to eat and leave). Throughout that entire meal, they were constantly rushing us through our meal, spoke to us in a pretty rude tone, and asked us to cook our meat/onions so they could take our plates. We were already eating at a quick pace knowing we had to be out at 8:30pm. Also, the waiter and waitress would constantly adjust the heat of our grill. I assume the girl would adjust it lower and the guy (who had the attitude that we needed to eat asap and get out) would set it way higher. This happened around 3 times each person throughout our meal. I would completely understand this if we were the only ones left (we left by 8:32pm by the way). There was a group of older korean men who received their dish at like 8:20pm and didn t seem like they were in a rush to leave. So what was the point of being so eager to get us out?? I ve worked in food too... I have no idea how you would think that attitude is okay LOL

Very poor customer service

I had the soy sauce crab and pork bulgogi set. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was clean, and the soybean paste soup that came with it was delicious. It looks like it has been re-established as a meat restaurant. The price is also quite satisfactory.

The service is terrible terrible and the waitresses are so rude! We had to ask for rice for 3 times and they didn t even move. When paying for bill, the total amount was 180$ but they keyed in 430$. When we pointed out, they didn t even say sorry for the mistake. We went as a group of 6 and they only put 3 kimchi sides. When we asked for extra, they charged the extra kimchi without telling us! We have been regularly going for every 2 weeks and th is the last time!

I went to eat last night, and when I went in, they pretended not to see me, so I just stood there sulking, and the servers were eating bbq chicken right next to me. And while I was trying to pay, he was standing in front of the machine, looking at the tip amount. It felt very strange and unpleasant. The rice was delicious, but the servers were the worst.

We tried Spicy Duck BBQ set. It comes with a soup and fried rice as well! It was such a good value and we couldnt even finish it We will definitely visit and try it again. (Its not too spicy. Perfect spicy level!)

As soon as I came in, the atmosphere was very clean and nice, and the service was also very good. The staff were so kind. I ordered salchisal, the color of the meat was so good, and the taste was great too! Highly recommended!!

Toedam has become my favorite restaurant in Van. I came here multiple times already. I love it that they always have some apecial going on. I celebrated Mothers day here and received flowers! The lady server did everything she can so that we can have a great time. My mother was very happy that she received carnatiom even when her son doesnt give one. Always top notch food and service!

The atmosphere is so clean and the food is really delicious! Every time we go, we always eat the family set of yukhoe! The meat quality is really good! Today is Mother s Day and I even received a surprise gift! I am impressed by the attention to detail!

The server put all meats on the grill without asking us after our first grilled. Absolutely ruined my appetite, I felt full for watching it. Most importantly is making the food become cooking, not grilling. It s not professional. Food covered all surface made the temperature down and wet. Hate it!!

Love the service and atmosphere of the restaurant. Tried the raw crab for the first time in Canada and very similar to the one I had in Korea. Would recommend.

Youve got to order your food right before you sit down at the table. The food arrive instantly and the service is great. Staffs are friendly and polite. By the moment I sit down, most of the salad is already there. I poured a cup of water, and only have chance to drink it after finish all the food. Once you started the BBQ, you need to take care of the cooking and keep eating, cook too long the meat will be overdone or even burned. The pace was pretty quick and we finish the meal within 30 min. But inall, food is fresh and great!!

Went out for dinner, had a set BBQ menu, and decided to add another serving of pork on top but this was not needed the couple set A option was more than enough, food was delicious. We will be coming back again for sure

My first and last review. Presentation spot on. Beautiful Presentation. Staff is Friendly but in a comfortable way. Not bombarding you with the 10min check to see how your doing. Calm atmosphere with jazz music in the background. I think im listening to Django Reinhardt atm.
