Food was amazing and service was incredible! Our family of 4 really enjoyed eating here. I think it is a husband and wife couple that owns and runs it and they are the kindest people. When you get up to leave the hold the door open for their customers. He even held the door open for the Skip the Dishes driver that was there to pick up an order. Very impressed and we will definitely be back! Thank you for the great experience!

Hansol seems to be a newer spot in town, offering great value with large portions. The taste, however, can be hit or miss. The beef bibimbap was enjoyable and well-prepared. Katsu is standard. Tempura is good. The bone soup lacked depth of flavor and was overpowered by spiciness. They do offer complimentary pumpkin soup, which was decent but not particularly memorable. Rice is very good. Overall, it’s worth a try for the portion sizes and value, though there’s room for improvement in flavor balance.

Really like this place. I have been to many Korean restaurants in the area and this is by far the best. Small homey restaurant and super friendly staff. Feels like you are walking into someone’s home for an amazing home cooked meal. Every dish we have ordered has been outstanding!

Very impressed with the food here. It tastes like homemade quality and authentic Korean food. We loved the chicken wings and beef bulgogi. Banchan was great too. They are quite small inside and don’t take reservations. It was a longer wait for a 6 table on a Friday night so I would recommend going in smaller groups. But the food is really worth it. The service is by two older Korean man and woman and they work very efficiently and very hard.

Very nice small family restaurant. I love the beef tartare and portion is very generous. Spicy tofu soup is great too. Complementary pumpkin soup is a warmhearted gesture. Not recommend big party more than 4 people and good to have comfort food in the neighborhood.

What a great little Korean restaurant! We ordered everything without meat (vegetarian) bibimbap hot, tofu and mushroom soup, steam eggs and the best pumpkin soup on the house !! Loved everything so much! This came with a side of rice and banchan ! (We’re obviously K-Drama and K-Food fans!)

It was a pretty great Korean restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed by their food and service. They gave us some sweet pumpkin soup as a free appetizer which is always great! The texture was spot on and the flavour was subtle and delicate while being slightly sweet. The side dishes were also quite tasty with not much to knit pick. The fried shrimps were decent but I could tell that it wasn’t their specialty. But rest of the dishes were fantastic. My personal favourite was the Korean beef tartare. The beef soup was also very rich and flavourful. Finally, the intestine soup is not for the faint of heart, but it was savoury and spicy, just the way we like it. Overall, we would definitely come back and try other menu items when we get the chance and we encourage you to try this place out!

Really sweet little place. One woman running the front, and it seems like her partner is in the back. Wonderful hospitality, and the food is good too. Good portion for price point. Pumpkin soup on the house was very tasty. Chicken wings were so good and came out freshly fried. Budae-Jeongol (as close to budae jigae or army stew I could find to satisfy my craving) was good but the noodles were a little overcooked. Very large portion for 2, still had lots leftover.

Wow. I havent experienced service like this at a Korean restaurant, like ever. The restaurant is, I believe, run by an older couple. Super sweet, courteous and hospitable. The food was very good too. We had the spicy tripe and intestine soup (loved this unique item although it was a tad too spicy), short ribs (very good quality, flavourful meat) and the tteokbokki. The banchan was great as well. For rice - they serve like a purple wild rice which was different and felt healthier the restaurant was pretty full on a Sunday around 2pm. I would definitely visit again! Kid-friendliness: Only one high chair though

We arrived at the lunch hour which is a very busy time, but we were seated very quickly. After a few minutes we placed our orders and the waitress brought our tea. Lunch was running behind and our waitress apologized for the wait and served us a bowl each of their tasty pumpkin soup. When lunch arrived the food was delicious and plentiful. I had the beef Bulgogi and my friend had the glass noodle soup with beef. Very tasty. I will definitely be returning in the future

I ve been to this place twice already and loved my experience both times. The service from the owner is wonderful! They have the usual appetizers you find in Korean restaurants: kimchi, sweet potatoes, green sprouts, all amazing of course. They gave us complementary pumpkin soup as well, which was much appreciated. For our second time, we ordered the squid plate, spicy chicken plate, and the tteokboki. I liked it because it wasnt too strong. The pumpkin porridge that comes as an appetizer is really good. The potato croquette and cod soup were a bit disappointing... I wish the seasoning of the raw meat was a little stronger. The pork cutlet was ordinary, but the sauce wasnt bad. The bibimbap was quite delicious. The soup that comes with bibimbap is also delicious. Cold noodles are not bad either. The vegetables in stir-fried pork were not breathtaking. This was a good taste.

its a new Korean place running by a well aged couple. Its a coze place. We had gamjatang and a bibimbab without dolsot. First, Their gamjatang needs to use a lot better quality meat. All meats were not tender, hard to off from the bones. Small portions of the meat as well. This was not good. Chili oil was a nice touch on the soup though, but It was quite spicy even for Koreans. The soup base was similar to their beef bone soup. The rice mixed with black rice was nice touch. Bibimbap was not too good, too. It was not seasoned well. We got a small beef soup for bibimbab. It was good. We will try Dolsot one next time. The pumpkin soup before the meal was the best with pine nuts. For side dishes, we only got 3. The table next to us got 5. We were two and ordered two meals as well. What was the difference? :) There was no check service at all. Its like home foods, but the price was not homey. They use brassware for dishes and it looks nice if those are real brassware not just color. The restaurant quality is expected to keep this price level... The take out meal box all day long seems a okay deal. I cant put more than 3, honestly. Well, its just another same Korean place which recently opened. I can see other reviews with other pictures of the same food i ordered. Dishonest owners then.

1) Food -- The plating is very good, clean and delicious. It doesnt feel like they skimped on ingredients and the portions are generous, so its very filling. 2) Service -- Super friendly + friendly + super friendly. Friendly service, fresh ingredients and lots of side dishes. I appreciated that they didnt skimp out on the side dishes, as Ive been noticing more Korean restaurants just offer kimchi and beansprouts. This place gives you a handful of side dishes and does refills as well. We got the Dolsot Bibimbap and the Mushroom Soft Tofu Soup. The dishes werent bad, but not amazing. The Bibimbap was missing a tad of its signature sweetness and the Tofu Soup was watered down and not as flavourful as Id like. If youre looking for an authentic Korean experience in terms of taste, this wont hit the spot. However, if youre close by and want to have some healthy Korean food, would recommend -- they have a good deal on lunchboxes (pick-up only), and again, very fresh ingredients (including purple rice!).

Ive been craving tofu soup, and this place is pretty good. We also had fried squid, which was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. I cant wait to come back and try their beef tartare bibimbap. The server was extremely attentive and polite. Slight language barrier but we got it all figured out without too much trouble. She managed to suggest we get the spicy in the side for the tofu soup since we wanted it mild, and that ended being perfect for us.

Ordered through skip the dishes and Food tasted great but a couple of issues. Found multiple hairs in our food, not just 1 or 2. Whoever is preparing the food should wear a hair net as they re losing hair rapidly it would seem. Chicken was super grisly, most pieces had a large chunk of gristle in it. Again, super good flavours but probably a one off experience for me. The hair was extremely off putting and I didn t end up eating the food.

Wow, what a great find! Newly opened in the beginning of 2024, this Korean restaurant is a must try if you re near Coquitlam center. We ordered a pork bone soup and a beef bone soup and noodle. A single order of soup is a generous portion that s probably enough for two people at only ~$18. The pork bone soup I ordered came with three large bones, cabbage and potatoes. While many restaurants have recently cut down on their ingredients and portion, I m glad to see this place is so generous. The quality is also top notch. The soup is flavorful, and you can definitely tell that they put their pride in making each dish with the taste and the plating. The server was also very friendly and attentive. They offer complimentary small side dishes (potatoes, bean sprouts and kimchi). When we finished them, the server came and offered us more. When I was trying to pick the meat off the bone, the server came by and offered me a disposal plastic glove . I was surprised and interestingly, it made the food taste even better when you can eat with your hand and not getting it dirty. My wife also enjoyed her beef bone soup. It was a deep rich flavorful bone broth that instantly healed her gut as she was just recovering from a stomach bug. We will definitely be back and try out all other dishes they have and you should too!

We saw that a new Korean place had opened recently so it was time to go try! Its a small restaurant but very clean and theyve kept it spacious for guests. I assume it was the owner running the place since it was a lazy Thursday afternoon (around 1pm) with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. They started us with some pumpkin soup, which my dad already approved of after a few sips! Off to a good start. For the three of us we ordered the LA Galbi ($25.99), Yangwootang ($18.99), and Donkatsu ($17.99). We had leftovers for a meal for one because their portions were so generous! The Galbi was seasoned well with soft tender cuts of beef short rib which werent too fatty. A nice staple dish. The Yangwootang is a beef intestines and honeycomb tripe in a spicy soup. It was flavorful and quite spicy! I have never had this before, but def prefer pork intestines, as the beef intestines was quite mushy and soft. The donkatsu was crispy and light, with fluffy pork inside, it was delicious! The breading was just the right amount and came with TWO pieces! I love a Korean place that offers banchan (side dishes) throughout the meal and doesnt charge extra for refills, and they did just that here! The side dishes were kimchi, radish kimchi, fishcake, bean sprouts and potato. I also must note I felt quite fancy with their nice utensils and gold bowls! I like the attention to detail where the rice bowl containers are double layered (commonly only single layered) so you dont burn your fingers holding it! Will definitely be back to try more of their menu items!

The atmosphere was nice, the service was very friendly, and the food was very delicious. In particular, the pork cutlet was soft and had no meaty smell and was very delicious~~ I m really looking forward to this restaurant s other menu items as well~ I highly recommend it~

Had an amazing experience at Hansol last week. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was warm and cozy and the space is very clean and comfortable right from the moment you step in the door. We ordered: -Tteok-bokki (12.99) and added fried squid rings ($3) -Hot stone bowl bibimbap ($18.99) -Tofu Soup with Kimchi and Pork ($16.99) Each dish tasted amazing, full of a variety of flavour and left us wanting more after each bite. The tteok-bokki had the perfect amount of spiciness and an abundance of umami flavour from the fish cakes. Adding the squid rings was the best decision because the squid was perfectly battered, not too heavy and they had the right amount of chewiness. The bibimbap came out piping hot, we were able to mix everything together easily and we allowed the rice to get extra crispy from the hot stone bowl. This dish is definitely a must order! The banchan complimented the flavours of each dish perfectly! The tofu soup was also another great choice as we went on a cold evening. This dish was very comforting and warmed us up, we would get it again for sure! Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for comforting Korean dishes. I will be returning very soon to try other dishes on their menu! Truly a great addition to the area, check it out if you havent already.
