Korean and Chinese Fusion restaurant
David's Overall Recommendation ★★★★★ ● Taste ★★★★★ ● Price ★★★★★ ● Kindness ★★★★★ ● Comfort ★★★★☆ ● Cleanliness ★★★★★ I visited this restaurant around 4:30 pm, which is a bit early for dinner. A female server welcomed me, and she was very friendly. I ordered the combo with Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). About 10 minutes later, all three dishes arrived together. The Tangsuyuk seemed to be fried in clean oil, and both the meat and the batter were exceptional. (Having worked in the restaurant industry, I could tell the frying oil was fresh.) The Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong were delicious too, but the Tangsuyuk was the highlight. The portions were generous, with all the food being flavorful and filling. There were a couple of minor downsides: 1. After the food was served, although the restaurant wasn’t busy, no one came by to check on the food or refill the side dishes. But with food this tasty, it was easy to overlook. 2. They were playing a Charlie Puth medley, which didn’t quite match the restaurant’s vibe. (Just a playful comment!) ●There’s parking available, though not a lot. ●The restrooms are separated for men and women. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant. The food is incredibly tasty and clean.
Home-y atmosphere, big servings, flavourful meal. My family enjoyed our time here. Will come back for sure! PS: couldn’t take proper photos of our other food lol we were hungry and ready to chow down 😂
This place is absolutely delicious! The noodles in the 짜장면 are perfectly balanced—not too thick or thin, and cooked just right. The 짬뽕 has just the right level of spice, full of rich flavor that melts away your stress. As for the sweet and sour pork, it's a perfect combination of textures—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. 100% recommend! Definitely worth every penny.
All food are delicious. We eat here once a month but every time we come back, we still can’t finish the big portions. Undefeated, highly recommend 💯!!!
We tried the Jjajangmyun and Jjam Bbong, and we're thrilled to have finally found a good Jjajangmyun! The Jjam Bbong was deliciously spicy. The portions were generous, and the service was excellent!
Update: We went for the second time and we are happy that the food is still great and tasty! Consistency is so important and glad it did not disappoint. We ordered the same dishes plus Jjamppong. The Jjamppong was delicious! The broth was spicy but flavourful. We will come back and try more dishes. What a great meal! The food was delicious and the portion is generous. The tangsuyuk coating was light and crispy its sauce in the bowl was sweet and flavourful. The fried chicken's batter was also light and crispy and it was coated with a nice sweet tangy sauce that has a nice kick to it. The jjajangmyeon was delicious, noodles are nice and chewy, the sauce was good with seafood and waterchestnuts mixed in it. I look forward to try their jjamppong (spicy seafood soup noodles)! We saw another table had it and it looks great!
It's a pretty standard Korean-Chinese restaurant that I'm used to. Their black sauce noodle was pretty good, but what really impressed me was the sweet and sour chicken. The spicy seafood noodle was also quite tasty and would recommend it if you are into spicy food. I recommend that you go with lots of people so that you can order different things to try!
We don't often have Korean food but we wanted to try this place since they just opened where Kam Ding used to be. We also didn't know the portion sizes but it turned out to be really big so we ended up with enough leftovers for a second meal! The food was tasty so we enjoyed it. Most of the dishes are spicy but just right for us. A senior couple arrived and sat at the next table. They sounded like they are Italian and were also looking to try Korean food. We helped them choose a non-spicy dish!
It was delicious. It was the best in Vancouver!! The servers are also friendly.
Good Korean-Chinese food.
I love this place! We ordered combo 2 and all the food was delicious and wonderful.
Excellent customer service and huge portion of food , and delicious
Im so glad that theres finally a delicious Chinese restaurant close to my house. Especially the jjamppong exceeded my expectations! Rather than feeling like old-fashioned Jjamppong, is it closer to modern(?) Jjamppong? The broth had a fiery taste and was mildly spicy, so it was delicious! A taste that keeps coming back to me. The sweet and sour pork was crunchy and yummy~ I took the leftovers home and chopped them up.
Went here with Korean friends. We ordered the set menu of fried noodles and sweet and sour pork. The food was delicious and the portions were sufficient. Korean friends also said that the fried noodles in this restaurant are very authentic! I would like to come here to eat again next time! !!
Foods were well priced and freshly made on order. Servers brought what was asked with smiles. One down is the store charges for EACH take out container. Hmm...? Unless there are many containers are asked, a container per each should be included in the food prices. Its a restaurant we already pay for everything. One of the better places to dine in at good prices and happy smiles, in the area, these days.
It really tastes like a Chinese restaurant in Korea^^ I came from Richmond~~ Kind and delicious^^ Its the best restaurant in Vancouver^^
Visit with friends at the Great Wall of China. I ordered a variety of foods and the portions were really generous. I was surprised. (I was really surprised ) The portions were generous and the food was very delicious, fresh and excellent. The atmosphere was clean and the service was friendly. I like this restaurant. . I will use it often in the future. Highly recommended to you Vegetarian options: (Yangjangpi). Very fresh, delicious and plentiful. Stir-fried eggplant: Delicious stir-fried eggplant that really whet your appetite. I didnt like eggplant dishes, but the stir-fried eggplant here was so delicious that I ate a whole bowl of rice (Rice Thief) . Today I failed my diet Parking: There are also rooms available, so it would be good for single guests. 25 people (maximum) available. Large round table (capacity for 5 to 8 people) Table for 4 people, etc... Convenient. Kid-friendliness: Good for children Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.
Very good value for money
I ate lunch with my friends today, and when we came to the cafe, we were full of compliments, saying it was so delicious and the service was great. Haha. They said they were sorry for refilling the side dishes multiple times while they were busy, but the worker was so kind and friendly, so it was even better.
Literally love this place. Its my new go-to place whenever Im feeling like I want jjajangmyeon. They give huge portion too for a really good price. Food was ready at a speedy time. Place is clean and service is amazing and they offer aprons so u dont stain your clothing. Great place for family, friends and just whatever the occasion. Definitely coming back here soon
The service was superb. It was noticeable that these two people cared about their customers in many ways. I also felt that the food was more delicious than before.
Visited this monday dinner time. Food was good but service terrible.
I came here for lunch on a Sunday and the service was good and the food was delicious.
Sunday lunch everyone!!! How about coming to the Great Wall of China and trying it out!!! Cream shrimp are sweet and sour!!! Sweet and sour pork is sweet and the meat is thick and delicious!! Jjajangmyeon is alive right from the noodles!! Jjambbong has a very fiery taste!! Fried rice!!! It s the most delicious fried rice I ve ever had!! The servers are so great that its a shame that Im the only one who knows about this place, which excels at both taste and service!!!! Everyone, please come and enjoy the meal~!~! The servers are so friendly~!~!
All the food is so delicious. In particular, I highly recommend the fried rice. The staff are friendly and the service is great! Ill have to come again next time haha
2024.06.02 Sunday 2pm. It was my first time coming here and I was so surprised. The servers greet you brightly as soon as you enter the restaurant, and the store is clean and smells good. These days, when I go to restaurants, I see a lot of unfriendly servers, but I was very happy to get the feeling that they really respect the customers here. I looked at the menu to order in a good mood, and there were a lot of set menus that were very good! Because the price was very reasonable, we ordered a lot of food :) When the food came out, the smell, the sight, the taste, everything was so delicious and amazing! Also, even though we eat a lot of pickled radish, they kept filling us with pickled radish and asked if we were missing anything and if the taste was good. Oh, this is a really restaurant and they take great care.. I thought this restaurant.. was really good!! I enjoyed it so much!! thank you!
I had a delicious Sunday lunch~ Even the owner s service lasted a long time
First of all, I dont like the seasoning of most Korean/Chinese restaurants in Vancouver because they are too sweet, but this one is good for adult tastes without being too sweet. Nolban Gahyanglu and Coqui Great Wall seem to be the two major Chinese restaurants in Vancouver.
This is my 3rd visit today. As expected, the taste and service are really good. I recommend the fried rice and eggplant dishes!!
Best korean chinese restaurant in tri city area
Great
Must try yangjangpi ;) so savory
Good food, generous portions, friendly service I find it again every time ~~~ 10 month old baby s new skill in brushing teeth haha
Sometimes I get noticed when I go to a restaurant with my child. The staff here is friendly and my child Thanks for playing? I enjoyed it so much^^
Jjamppong and Jjajangmyeon were the best. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. Kid-friendliness: very good Wheelchair accessibility: great
Absolutely astonishing and amazing food. Service is very good too. The atmosphere is relatively chill. I absolutely recommend you go here if you end up near a place like this.
Very friendly staff. Single order is not for just one person. Can feed 2 people for price $25. Their new oyster and mussel noodle soup is $20 and could also feed 2 people and really good. The noodles taste freshly made. The jjajangmyun was really tasty. My son loves it. Food
Portions are insane, this was a delightful little Korean restaurant to chance upon while in Coquitlam, ordered black bean noodle with the $5 size up and got a massive bowl of black bean noodles for $17 total. Japchae was also quite good, they did not skimp out on ingredients. Will be back with a larger appetite and more friends!
Their oyster Jjam Bbong is large and delicious.
Hands down the best in town!
I usually love stir-fried eggplant, but when I went to the Great Wall of China to eat black bean noodles, there was stir-fried eggplant, so I ordered it and it was really delicious. If you like spicy food, you can enjoy it more by asking for it to be a little more spicy when ordering. Both the Jjajangmyeon and the fried rice were a huge success. I think I will be using it often from now on.
Good taste restaurants I recommend Jajangmyeon restaurant with delicious food and good service.! Food
Its not the same as old maneijangseong. Food quality went down. Their fried rice decent but the portion went down a lot. Cups and small plates came wet, and the waitress gloves werent clean. i could see the grease. Now what i am thinking is, did they even change gloves after cleaning tables. And unfortunately I got food poisoning after eating here. Suffered for a week. I strongly DO NOT recommend this place. They did work on a lot for interials compare to Previous place the dimsum but u still see damaged and dirty walls and etc.
[edit] Theyre still/always good - Sure, the service isnt too great, but its still the number 1 K-Chinese restaurant in all of BC. Definitely an amazing place to eat casually. Id gladly give it more than 5 stars just for the food alone.
The food tasted good, but the server wasnt friendly, and there was a separate fee for the shipping container, but they didnt tell us in advance. I think it would be good to at least inform you that an extra fee will be added when requesting a submission container.
Great food! Love the cook on the noodles and generosity of the portion. Just wish the kitchen could be a bit faster. Took more than 30 mins to serve our orders (but the takeout orders seemed to be flying out).
Ordered combo A. Portions here are huge. Jjambong has a good amount of noodles and seafood with spicy smoky broth, could use a bit more salt. Jjajiangmian was decent. Fried pork was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The batter they use is glutinous rice powder base which is nice and chewy. Price was quite good as well.
Very solid Korean style Chinese food restaurant. We liked their Yang Jang Pi which is a cold dish made up of veges and seafood stuff. Also their jajangmyun was pretty nice. This is one of the better Korean Chinese place in Coquitlam center. Parking shouldn t really be a problem either. Place is not the best for ambience but efficient and clean for what it is.
It s been a while since I ate delicious soybean paste! The jjamppong rice was also amazing!
Found this hidden gem and glad we tried it. The jjambbong and the Kkan Pung Gi are a MUST! Will definitely be coming back.
Service was not good. The cup wasnt dry and taste was not former ManRiJangSeong. I guess that the chief cook was not same as old. Food
Kkanpunggi was mostly just white dough cooked in large balls. When I cut it in half, there were only a few pieces that actually contained chicken meat. I feel like I bought a lump of dough for $30. Even though it was seasoned, it wasnt crispy at all for a fried dish.
Hugh portion for the price!
I ordered Jjamppong with soybean paste tangshuk, and the jjamppong and tangshuk were okay. I liked the soybean paste the best because it wasnt too sweet. Ganjjajang recommendation
Get the classics jajangmyeon, pork and jjambong You wont be let down and make sure you say hi to Paul! Food : 5/5
Previously in Surrey, this Coquitlam is recently opened by old owner. Food which I used to love stayed the same. Price point is still fair and portion size was excellent especially YangJangPi. Jajjangmyun was also awesome, old school style with not too salty/sweet taste. We would love to come back to try other dishes. The place has parking lot so that also is a plus.
It was my first time to visit here. I can say its the best dish Ive had recently. The noodles in jajangmyeon were chewy and the spicy in jjamppong was just right for me. The sweet and sour pork was crispy and chewy, and finally, the nurungjitang was so delicious that I was surprised!
I waited a little because it was dinner time, but the food and service were satisfactory.
I just ate it and it tastes even better than the Jjamppong I ate in Korea. I think the taste has gotten deeper since the move.
Its delicious and spicy.
They said there was a 10% discount if you order online, so I went there, but they said it was an old product. The price was different so I inquired and they said the one on the internet was old. The phone number on the homepage is said to be old. Search on Google and use the phone number that appears. There are no onions on the side. Ah... I ordered for 9 people, but they only gave me 4 chopsticks. It seems like today is your first time as a server. There is no answer. Still, its delicious, so Ill look forward to the next one.
Live the new Anson location. Plenty of parking. Good food, good portion and good value. Food : 5/5
Enjoy your meal
I think its the best in Vancouver It s so delicious~~^^
My wife and I ordered Combo A (Jjam Jjatang) with thick Jjajangmyeon, and I was half-regretted and impressed. It was so delicious, but I couldnt eat it all. The sweet and sour pork was fried to the standard, white and crispy, served with a separate sauce. The Jjamppong was delicious and the noodles were chewy. The Jjamppong, in particular, was seasoned just right with the right amount of chili oil. Even though I didnt drink alcohol, it tasted like a textbook version of Jjamppong. Next time, I want to try Chadol Jjamppong and Im curious about the cream shrimp. Theres a Hanareum Mart nearby, so I think it would be good to eat when Im hungry after shopping. I came at 4:30 on a Tuesday, and Im not sure if the food tastes the same, but Im infinitely satisfied today.
Best Gan-jja-jang ever So delicious! I would strongly recommend it to everyone.
I thought that this place had closed down but I m so happy they just moved and are still open! They really put care into their food. It s not like any other Korean Chinese restaurants. My family always get the combo with jjajang, jjampong and gganpoonggi ( , , ) and honestly, it s THE BEST. You can taste the fire in all of the dishes. The jjampong has lots of seafood (not just onions and cabbage like most places). Lots of shrimp and two mussels. The jjajangmyun isn t too sweet and tastes like they recook it in the wok and not just microwave it like some other places. Lots of meat too! Lastly, my all time fave. The ggampoonggi. The exterior is chewy, not hard, and the meat is juicy. They load in the pineapples too which is a bonus! All time favourite Korean Chinese restaurant! Thank you for not shutting down!!
The combo portion was large and the price was satisfactory. The taste wasnt too burdensome and was really delicious. I recommend it if you dont like spicy flavors.
Worth a drive for dinner with fam! I truly enjoyed jjamppong! The one in surrey closed down and I recently found out that they re opened in Coquitlam center. Great place!!
I was so disappointment when the old surrey location stopped serving jajangmyeon. I am driving all the way to Coquitlam for the jajangmyeon at your new location. Thank you for coming back!!! Best korean-chinese restaurant hands down!!!!!
Really tasty food, great portions for the price and to top of all of it amazing customer service! We left very happy and satisfied.
We ordered one jjamppong noodle and fried rice, and the portion of jjamppong soup that came with the fried rice was too small to share, so we asked for one more, but I dont understand why it costs an additional $5.. The regular jjambbong meal costs $15, but the soup was served with a few pieces of onion and 2 pieces of squid. $5 is a bit... No matter how much I try to understand it, thinking its because the price of ingredients has risen, I dont think its true. My family loved it so we ate take out about once a week, but Im disappointed that people are not so happy with it.
Husband and I ordered the combo set and everything was amazing! Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back
This place was great! The food was amazing, and the portions were huge! I am surprised that not a lot of people eat here.
hongsengyung from the squid games was here
The food is amazing and I love the customer service, especially from the waitresses! And they are also opened on Sundays now which is even more great!
The best noodles Ive ever had this place is amazing.
The portions are generous and the food are delicious. We tried combo B with the jjajangmyeon, jjambong and sweet and spicy chicken. Definitely one of the best Korean-Chinese food places around metro vancouver!
I ordered Kkanpunggi Jjajang Jjamppong... and my fingernails came out of the Jjajang. I was trying to have a good meal, but I ruined it.
Update Feb 25, 2023: went with a friend last night around 7:45pm and we got a table right away. We ordered (black bean noodle), and sweet spicy chicken ( ). They were delicious! Service was friendly and fast. The best place to go they changed ownership in august 2022. Definitely recommend it! Jjampong is amazing!!
We are responsible for setting the tip during the process of ordering and paying for pick-up, but the staff set the tip arbitrarily and did not know that he was holding out a card reader. When I got home, I found out that I had to pay an additional 15% as a tip. I did it, but I didnt receive any service? When I pick you up, I always give it to you because youre having a hard time. I guess its a good idea, right? Please make sure to check the exact price when paying. Watch out when you pick up order, double check your bill, I dont know why, casher choose there tip not me, I paid 15% more for tip automatically on PICK UP ORDER somehow.
good enough quality, quantity, and price
Last night my family went to dinner with the kids. The owner and his wife were very pretty and nice, they listened to our children well, they were very kind, and the food was very delicious. All in all, Im not the type of person who writes reviews, but Im so satisfied that Im leaving a review.
nu rung gi tang (32) / combo a - tan su yuk + ja jang myeon + jjam ppong (46)
Jjamppong with soybean paste and sweet and sour pork is delicious! In particular, the male waiter and the hall manager are so sensible and good at their work that I am surprised every time I go. Be kind and perceptive.
Delicious black bean noodles!!
The sweet and sour pork, fried rice, and black bean noodles are all delicious. The Jjamppong soup is delicious, but the onions inside the Jjamppong are so big that it is difficult to eat.
Samseon Jjajangbap and Jjamppong are all delicious~^^
A hidden gem situated right next to Coquitlam Centre! I entered with a little bit of skepticism, but boy was I wrong! The food was served fast! We ordered jajangmyun & tangsuyuk combo. The noodle was tangy and went down easy. The pork dosh had good portions for three (We ended up taking the leftover home) and the meat was crispy outside and chewy inside. I suppose we wouldnt have to cross the bridge to go to Chiuhong in Surrey anymore.
Was tasty, big portions, and waitresses were friendly and attentive. Would come back and recommend to others
Combo B with gop bbae gi (double the amount) jja jang myun was a good pick. Enough for three people to feast and have some to take out. Noodle quality was very good although a couple were undercooked. Jjajangmyun lacks in that smokey flavour and jamppong also lacks the same smokey taste. Otherwise, quality and quantity is excellent for the price.
The portion of the jajangmyeon is very generous, and the noodles have a chewy texture
4/5 for their jajangmyeon and jangpong, 1/5 for their kanpoongi. Their noodles are good - nice chewy noodles and good flavour although the could pack a better punch. Their kanpoongi was insulting. 30% meat, 70% batter and oil. I dug through the pieces and ended up needing to discard clumps of the batter because it was too much batter to eat. They also again, need amp up the flavor with more sauce. If they fixed their batter to chicken ratio, I would come again. If not, the noodles aren t worth it on their own.
A few weeks ago, when I opened it at home, the black bean sauce was missing, so I called and they said they would give me credit. I dont need the Jjajangmyeon noodles so I throw them away. This time, he said he would come and said credit, and he added it. When I opened it at home, there was only sauce. Last time, I paid for the entire jjajangmyeon but ended up only receiving the sauce. I tried making Jjajangbap at home, but the Jjajangbap was very bitter. If they had just added noodles, it would have been overlooked... but there is a lack of consideration for customers.
heard from a friend this is a great place to eat. Sure hope it doesnt close down or anything
We Played G.E. golfing after for dinner. We ordered 1.xCormbo B. and 1.×Samsun Bokkeum Bup. Very fresh & delicious, Very good serving. Price is economy. Please refer. 9 photos. Parking: Good Kid-friendliness: Good
A single order of jjamppong is massive lol, tastes great as well. Perfect balance of quantity and quality. Great affordable prices too.
Their food is very good, but I saw a waitress sneeze right over the side dish without covering her mouth and serve it to other customers.
Got the jajangmyeon. The noodles were chewy and very good, and the portion size was very generous. Would recommend, and would come here again to try the other options. Probably the most fairly priced restaurant that serves good food in the area that I know of.
It was so sad that this restaurant was closed from Aug., 16. 2023. I hope they can open at other location. Good luck!! Food
One of my favorite place in coquitlam!! Sweet and sour pork is their best menu that you should try
Delicious food, great service
Best Korean Chinese restaurant in Vancouver!! There isnt a Chinese restaurant I havent been to in Vancouver, and its really the best. I used to go to Chwihong often, but now I only go to Hamjibak. Its better than the Jjamppong I had in Korea. I especially recommend the Chadol Jjamppong.
If restaurant reviews are this polarizing... wouldnt it be vague?
Delicious food with great service! I havent had this great food for a long time! THANK YOU! I am definitely coming back!
Their ja jung mynm doesn t taste like anything, neither does the spicy seafood noodle soup. Only good thing is the portion size, if you don t care what you are putting in your mouth.
The comments are really diverse I guess they have two chefs work different time? I have to say taste is below average, but staff are friendly.
0 star.
I had a delicious meal,
Visited here twice. Really good food, especially the Jjamppong and Jajangmyeon. As a noodles lover, I have to say they have very high quality noodles. I don t usually eat spicy food, but their Jjamppong is of a very rich flavour instead of simply spicy . Definitely recommend.
The staff here are great. Eaten here many times and the jjajang and jjambbong noodles are top notch. Was a little disappointed with the sea cucumber salad though.
Thanks for coming back!
We stopped by this place because it seemed like it just opened and we love korean chinese food. We ordered the combo A which includes the jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and the deep fried pork with sweet and sour sauce. I recommend the combo if you want to try the basic korean chinese food. I personally enjoyed the deep fried pork. The sauce is nice and flavorful. I stopped by because I was curious because it was a newly opened place, and it was delicious. I ordered Combo A and had Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, Sweet and Sour Pork, and it was delicious without being spicy. In particular, the Jjamppong had a fiery taste, and the sweet and sour pork sauce was so delicious that I ate a lot of it
Jjamppong is very delicious!
I heard the place just had a grand opening with new owners, staff and new name. I havent been before it changed but when I went with my family last week, I was very happy with the quality of food and friendly service. Its tough to find good Korean style Chinese food around here but I can say with confidence this place is one of the best Ive been to. I recommend the deep fried stuff, theyre deliciously crispy! They are also kid-friendly. They have kids utensils, plates and high chairs :) Kid-friendliness: Offers high chairs and kid utensils and plates
When I visited again, the store name had changed. Ordered 4 menu items Yuringi, Jjamppong, Chadol Jjamppong, Samseon Fried Rice 1. Yulingi - its good. - The fries were really good. best! - But when its soaked in sauce, its a minus. - Yuringi is originally served in sauce, but what would it have been like to just eat fried chicken dipped in sauce? 2. Jjambbong - The taste of a refreshing soup made with a lot of vegetables is ordinary. 3. Chadol Jjamppong - The Chadol Jjamppong I had before the restaurant name changed was better. - There is no strong taste of meat broth. - Its just not the flavor I prefer, but in general its probably okay. 4. Samseon fried rice - Recommended if you like stir-fried cabbage It was disappointing to visit for the spicy chadol jjamppong with rich meat broth, but Yuringis fried chicken was really delicious. However, the price of double portions adds $4 per menu item. I wish I had told you when ordering a double portion.
Good food, had the sweet and sour chicken and the blackbean noodles, both were good. Staff is friendly and polite, and portions were quite big!
The family visited together. The restaurant atmosphere was clean and nice. I really recommend sweet and sour pork because kids love it. Next time I will try other foods. Im so glad it reopened and I recommend it.
Its delicious. The soybean paste and jjamppong are good too.
Not sure if they have different chefs working in that restaurant but when I went there with my fam they were all pretty below average. The only thing that I would say was good is tangsooyook. jjajang was pretty blend and jjjanbong(?) was okayish. The most horrific menu was deep-fried dumplings; they had a really weird aftertaste. Added the photos that were left even though we were all starving to death after 5 hours of extensive water sports. And the food service was so disorganized! Had to call them over multiple times to ask them for the same thing.
I had been going here since I was in Surrey, so I went right away when I heard that it was reopening. The staff and owner are all friendly and the food is delicious~ Good luck~~
I ordered the combo A and the serving was very filling for the price!
Love the jjampong here. Delicious. Fast service and the staffs are very nice!
I ordered Gan Ja Jang and Chadol Jjam Ppong and all the foods were very satisfied and out of my expectation. I highly recommend Gan Ja Jang if you are not familiar with Korean Chinese Restaurants.
Very good food
I was worried about Chadol Jjamppong after reading the Google reviews, but it wasnt greasy and the soup was refreshing and not salty, so I ate the entire soup. The seafood is fresh and there is enough brisket in it. The sweet and sour pork was also crispy and delicious. The sauce often leans towards salty and sweet, but its slightly sweet. Samseon Jjajang also had fresh seafood and the noodles were sticky and delicious. Even if you dont keep calling (even though they werent busy), the wearers see if theres anything you need, bring it to you even if you dont ask for it, and are kind and good at their work. If the taste continues on my next visit, I think I will change to this place.
I m not sure about all the really negative reviews, but my family and I ordered about 6 dishes and they were all high quality and delicious! Coming back here for sure :)
I was looking for delicious lamb jangpi in Vancouver and found a good restaurant. Ganjjajang was also very delicious.
Had been dining in every week since they opened. Excellent customer service and great quality foods. Will definitely come back
I loved the friendly staff and the food was delicious and plentiful!
First time coming since the new name and its really good. Big servings, well seasoned, will be coming back for sure.
Delicious!
yummy food, good service, nice people
I love this place. Straight up. When they shut down in Surrey, I was devastated. I would regularly drive 30 minutes just to eat there and drive back. Its open fairly close now and I am ecstatic. I can only really give a review for the jja-jjang-myun cause thats my fav, especially at this place. Simply explained, the chun-jang is properly prepared here and balanced. By comparison, if you go to other Korean-Chinese restaurants, they cater to western tastes: too sweet. This is legit, Korean style - reminds me of the jjajangs I had in my hometown Shinsa. Stronger savoriness/saltiness than sweetness. Theres only 3 places that grabs that really right and this is one of the locales. Other is in Van and Surrey but I mean this place is phenom so why me worry? Shoutout to the servers as well. Top notch service heeelllla Korean hahaha I love it.
The food was delicious and the staff were particularly friendly, so I had a fun and comfortable meal. I recommend Great Wall of China as a Chinese restaurant I would like to visit again. The other foods were especially great, but I recommend one thing. The Jjajangmyeon was delicious.
Deep fry very krispy, chewy, tasty! 5stars for friendly service also! Highly recommend!
We had comboA and a couple of other dishes. The food was great and staff was very friendly. 10/10 experience. We would love to come back again.
The best tangsyuk I ve ever had~
First of all, the food tastes really good~~~I go all the way from Koki to Dantana or Langley to find a good restaurant without hesitation. I always went to Surrey for Chinese food, but Ive been coming here ever since I entered the Great Wall~~Especially these days, when prices are rising, not only is the food delicious. I think you will be satisfied with both the quantity and the price~~The sweet and sour pork is really soft~~^^*
Great customer service, good portions of food. Affordable and delicious.
Great customer service, friendly staff, and generous portions. Definitely would recommend if around Coquitlam Centre area!
Kkanpunggi is so delicious
Staff are friendly and attentive, food is delicious and comes in large portion sizes! Been a regular for a while now.
So good! The fried chicken was very nicely done! Jajangmian was authentic and the seafood soup was just spicy enough! Nice portion, price reasonable!
We have been here 3 times and the food is always great. Has become my favorite Korean Chinese food restaurant.
The ingredients are fresh and delicious~~ I ate it so much^^
The server was friendly and the Jjamppong tasted good, but the Jjajangmyeon was too thin and a bit bland. And when I checked later, I ordered Combo A, but they calculated it at the price of Combo B, so I paid $2 more.
Order take out: Jajangmyon and Tangsuyuk.... DISAPPOINTED... small portions compared with similar local restaurants. Black Bean Sauce thin and not very tasty, the pork was not marinated prior to immersion in the batter, the Sweet and Sour sauce was tasty. Will not visit nor order again.
Found a plastic thingy in the jjajangmyun.. disgusted.. not just one and the to go box was leaking as well.
I went there when Geumhong opened and thought there was Chinese food that wasnt that tasty, so I never went back, but when I heard that they had changed it to hamji gourd, I went back again thinking about old times... and I realized that it must be an art to make it so tasteless. There may be likes and dislikes.
Taste good. Clean inside. Enough food. It is small restaurant but quality is above average.
Visited here a few times, a few things worth mentioning is that the food portions here are excellent. You wont find yourself leaving with a hungry stomach. The food its self is excellent, great taste and quality, no corners seemed to be cut. Very friendly waitresses, with quick service. I myself ordered the sweet and sour pork. It was delicious.
The ingredients are not very fresh. Jjambbong sometimes tastes too much like pepper and the taste is odd. The seafood in Jjambbong has the fishiest smell of any seafood Ive ever eaten. Please use fresh ingredients again. This is a bit serious. jjamppong smells disgusting and doesn t taste very good because seafood in there were not fresh at all.
Chadol Jjamppong is delicious
Second visit. It was delicious when I first went there not long after it opened. About 80 points Today, Chadol Jjamppong. Ganjjajang Same menu as the first visit. Very tasteless 10 points Chadol Jjamppong. The noodles are all spread out and the ingredients are poor. Ganjjajang. The noodles spread. It had a burnt smell. It was very sweet. I wanted to say something affectionately when I left, but there werent too many customers, so I just left with a tip. The male student next to me also left some Jjajangmyeon.
1. It is expensive. Even though everything has gone up, it was originally expensive here. 2. The service was so bad that I almost had to pay more because I made a mistake in calculating. 3. The regular Jjajangmyeon here is delicious to my taste. However, the soy sauce is full of onions and feels like a separate sauce. Fried rice is not good either. Jjamppong is just plain edible. Its a shame even if I cry.. The sweet and sour pork is just average.. This place was so expensive that I thought it was a high-end concept from the time it first opened. But the taste, service, and price were disappointing. But I eat it sometimes because its close to home and Jjajangmyeon is delicious.
Good cold noodles with beef bulgogi
My husband who is very picky loved their sweet and sour pork! Food is fresh. Staff is friendly.
Absolutely delicious. The best jjamppong youll find in greater Vancouver! Always coming back for this mild and the spicy jjamppong. Server is super nice too! Guaranteed to always leave super full for a fair price!
We ordered a combo, and waited 30 mins for the first dish. The next dishes hasnt come 30 mins after the first dish while they were still serving pick up order. Food is still same quality but the service turning too bad.
Chili prawn is so expensive and tempura batter is too thick, not what I was hoping.
The Best Zzambbong!
Good place
Great food
Menu says something and you get a totally different thing. I ordered the dish that supposedly should come with fresh stir fried vegetables with pork and noodle with black bean sauce. What I got was a big bowl of cold white pasta noodles with NO vegetables to be seen and a big goop of cold black bean sauce on top of it. Oh yes it had three pieces of uncooked small shrimp. It was absolutely NO taste, NO color, NO flavor basically it was a cold dish in a big bowl in front of me. it was a horrible experience and disappointing dish. Never again.
Taste good
Excellent food and service with a smile.
I dont know what kind of confidence they have in cooking... or what they believe in doing business with.
Wanted to give zero star if I could. Ordered family size jja jang myeon and more dishes as delivery. Three of us shared the meal and we all found that the family size jja jang myeon tasted quite off. It tasted like it had gone bad. Called the restaurant to tell them maybe an ingredient had gone bad. Response of owner was so shocking. He blamed our tastebuds and said that the dish is supposed to taste like that and if we didn t like the flavour, then we shouldn t order it. We ve had this dish a few times before and we just wanted to tell him that maybe something had gone bad. Instead, we were blamed for our palate and he refused to acknowledge anything. I guess we won t order anymore from them as the owner suggested. Goodbye forever!
New favorite place to eat, their sweet and sour pork is the best!
best korean Chinese cuisine restaurant
Quite a pleasant experience. The food was served relatively quickly even when it was a full house. Most importantly, the taste was great. I recommend the klang poongi, which is a sweet and spicy chicken dish. It is similar to the orange chicken you may find in Chinese restaurants, but slightly more intense in flavour. Courageous spice finders beware!
great service, food, and costs all around. had round 2 at home because there was so much food left
I always went to Chwihongman, but when I tasted the old owners hamjibak again at Coqui, it was so delicious!!! The Kkanpunggi was especially delicious.
good location for the avid jjajjangmyeon goers of coquitlam centre. they also have good fruit soju flavours.
The food exceeded my expectations - their jajangmyeon was a lot less oily than other places I tried and the noodles were nice and chewy! The kkanpunggi has a nice batter to chicken ratio. Portions were also massive. Staff were friendly and physical distancing was well enforced.
Amazed with the great big portion sizes, covid safety protocols were followed well. Food was great to say the least, good stuff!
Delicious spicy seafood noodle soup!
Ordered delivery from Foodly, taste was reasonable but it is over priced with small portion compared to other Korean Chinese restaurant. sauce was bit watery. Ordered from this place because the review was good, but was definitely disappointed.
Black bean noodle was delicious, perhaps the best we ve had in the entire coquitlam: flavourful, lots of hearty vegetables and ground meat, sauce was just right, not too sweet or salty. Spicy fried chicken was delicious with surprising amount of heat, which we enjoyed. Seafood soup noodle was ok, we still enjoyed it as a combo. This was our first time, and we are definitely going back!
I was very thirsty the whole time I was eating. I feel like I drank a ton of water.. it tastes too much like msg!
