Please give me my money back. Food was average at best. I am not trying to be mean, but it was not the best experience. It took 2 hours to get a panini sandwich. The server was good though. I spent $27 even after the long wait, but it was definitely not worth that much. Gratuity was automatic even with how things went.
We waited two hours for our food and it was stale. My friends had a stomach ache from the food too
Charlie Hamilton Pub is the ultimate dive bar experience! Enjoy great tunes, friendly crowds, and electric vibes. Happy hour deals are a steal – beers under $5 until 6 pm! We loved it. Definitely worth checking out!
My first visit here, and it was such a great experience. My partner and I came in to unwind and enjoy a drink, and this place was exactly what we needed. The new staff member was so warm and friendly, and I believe it was her first time making a Bellini. Just wanted to say, you nailed it! Keep up the fantastic work!
Had the strangest interaction here a few weeks ago. Showed up on a Sunday afternoon with 3 gal pals. The host/manager/cook/bartender was the only one on shift. She asked if we were there to drink. We said we were there for lunch and a drink. "well, I'm also the cook, so....." She asked what we liked to drink, offered suggestions. We asked for a drink menu. There was none. One of my friends asked whats on tap? "Its not working". We seated our selves, and drinks came. But nothing else. Ever. No food menus, no one to ask if we wanted another drink, no bill. We finally went up and went to the bar to pay so we could find somewhere else to have lunch. Was strange all around. Maybe this place is all about booze only on weekends, and has to look like they sell food to keep their liquor license?!
Just moved close by so decided to check out the bar. We got into the bar around 12am. It was pretty busy but the staff were doing great and made sure that everyone was tended to. There was one girl there that said she was the manager but she wasn’t working at the time and she seemed drunk and was yelling at another girl. Later we witnessed her pulling her shirt up and almost off. That threw me off a bit but I will definitely come back as the bar itself had a good vibe and people seemed friendly.
A good local pub with a solid atmosphere and staff. It does the job. You don't come here for amazing food just a fun vibe.
Stopped in after some years since my last visit. Still has the same masterful cocktails, same crafted deliciousness as a decade ago. Enjoyed one of the best ceasers in town with the coconut prawn made for royalty. All hail Charlie Hamilton!

Yah I was going to go for a beer here but I got there at 4;08 and basically waited inside until 4:20 I dont really feel like shouting to get the attention of the servers in the backroom so I just passed by. Im sure youll figure it out.
Its like an old school bar with down to earth people.. always meet new people here.. nice layed back atmosphere to hang out and drink and chat.
Worst service Ive ever had, waiting an hour for a drink and still never received it. Not my fault that theres only one server that does the cooking and serving people, unbelieveable, also the bank machine doesnt even work. Never coming here again

Come in side for a beer or two but mostly on Friday and Saturday nights you get the less than desired people coming in always looking for a fight with anyone the poor bartenders are always short staffed on those days. I did one time see the owner and one waitress clean Flys from the always open liquor bottles through a coffee strainer........ other than that beer is fine food mediocre at best. Not a bad place but needs a modern touch up.
Waitresses mostly caucasien are using racisme in dealing with black customers. They issued ban at bar for only racisme reasons. I did nothing to deserve that shameful treatment. I dont talk, pay always my bill, but drunk customers with aggressive Behavior were reported to the waitress of the day. Instead of helping me, the victims, the waitress sided with aggressor because are both Caucasian.
Smallest pub I have ever been in. Also very cool and an easy locals hangout. Cool established neighborhood character pubs are few so give this one a shot, support small pub biz.

Great place to be! We went there for the Super Bowl and the waitress were amazing! Food delicious and the gifts also really goods. We went from Cancún México and we will recommend the place for sure! Until next time

I had to wait a half an hour for overcooked food. Wanted to walk out, but I also ordered a drink, that came almost immediately, so I couldnt just leave. The Caesar was really good though. (10/10) Food was also decent, despite it being overcooked. (7/10)
Had a Fantastic time last night at your Pub With My GF and Her Man. We played Darts and had wonderful friendly service from Kayla thank you.

I love this place. The drinks are delicious. Small intimate vibe which I love. Being keto/low carb/carnivore light I prefer an oven baked chicken wing. Their really hot sauce had nice flavour and made my ears ring. So good.
Lovely local pub, Staff are pleasant and freindly.
Literally refused to payout pull tabs because of their own screw up with SKUs. Would not generally recommend here.

I spent a total of 15 mins in this place. First thoughts was that the music was very loud and it was even louder with the waitress yelling a lot. The first 10 mins I wasn t sure if I was supposed to go up to the bar and order if she was gonna come to me. She was the only one there working it looked like. When she finally did come greet me she looked at me like I was trash. I asked for nachos. She rolled her eyes and walked away. Then turned back and said they won t be ready for 20 mins because the oven hadn t been turned on yet that day. This was around 7pm. I was baffled. Told her to forget it and went to Browns where I was treated like a human being and not a burden. Never again will I be back. Good for the sketchy people in the neighbourhood only wanting drinks I guess

I enjoy the vibe here. Its relaxed and has bar service like a proper bar should. Drinks, whilst limited in selection, are good value too. Some of the people leaving 1* reviews having expected a waitress and full silver spoon service are hilarious. Go to Cactus Club if you want to pay $12 for a beer and give an extra 25% tip to a waitress you never asked for.

One of the worst experiences I ve had at a pub. Server brought me the wrong order twice and then became rude when we asked that the order be corrected. (Ordered garlic bread and a ceasar salad and received a burger instead) Other friends received panini s that both showed up having not been grilled. (Also the one didn t even order a panini to begin with) Having the orders get mixed up is not a big deal by any means but the attitude the server took when we pointed out the mistake was the issue. Ended up paying close to $30 for some potato skins and the most basic ceasar salad I ve ever been served. Would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
Short staffed, we ordered 3 burgers and it took almost an hour because one guy was running the show, kitchen was missing a lot of ingredients for their menu, pricing is great tho

Nice little Place
I was surprised at how small this place is. They have a very limited menu and theres no fryer in the kitchen, so the wings were baked and the skin was rubbery. Potato skins were good, though. Prices werent bad, but Im sure there has to be a better pub within a reasonable distance.

The Bartender was polite kept checking to see if we needed refreshments and the food was pretty good as well didnt spend too much but enjoyed my time there first time going probably make it a regular thing

The wife and I stopped into this little hole in the wall pub. We got such great service the first night that we went again the next night and it didnt disappoint.. would totally recomend this place.

My brothers brought me here for their birthday we had such a fun night. We ate great wings had good drinks and the staff recommended good food, drinks, and activities to do. Overall it was a good place to have a good night I highly recommend.

This is my favorite Central Coqutilam Pub......excellent food and pizza....the place gets rowdy and fun on the weekends until Late.....The clientele is Rock N Roll care free whatever goes hippy crowd.....I would not recomend this place if you want a quiet romantic dinner or just a quiet night... it does get noisy.... small establishment connected to a mall...but with big fun

Went there late night after hookah and the owner really goes above and beyond to serve. For an older gentleman he was serving us at the bar then went in the kitchen to cook as well as there being one other server. I appreciated the really late night food after 12am we were starving
First time here. Owner was nice, although food was a 3/10. Waited 45 mins for food, unfortunately had to send it all back.. Was also a little concerned about staff not wearing masks during this time! Wasn t getting a very clean feel with the place. Will probably give this place another chance one day. Thx again to the owner for being so understanding and letting go of our bill.
Many times when I passed by this place, there was someone sitting at the patio smoking. Its so disturbing.

We stopped by today for the first time. Cant say much as we were never acknowledged by the staff. Not one server came out side and we sat there for about 10 minutes. Then we moved inside for another 10 minutes. Not even a hello from the staff. So we gave up and left. Not a good experience. Customer service needs to be #1.

I had an awesome time at the pub today the staff is very friendly and my food was made well. I recommend Charlies to everyone the environment is very welcoming.
Good drink specials (daily and happy hour)! We went in midday for our day off and took advantage of happy hour on a Thursday. Staff was friendly and easy to chat with. Also has an outdoor smoking area for those who do that kinda thing.

The barstools...the wood finish on the countertop...the TVs with the sports...the simple menu...the beer specials...the people...this place isnt the Frog or the Gate or the Socialhouse, and thats the reason why this place is distinct. If you want a drink and youre not into making the scene, go here.
All the drinks are water down badly
Very friendly staff but thats it. The worst chicken wings I ve ever had. The wings are boiled and taste like raw chicken. Skip on the caesar as well.

This is a great little spot to hang out if youre not feeling like being judged. Small pub, big screens for games, $4 beer, not where youd pick for a night out but if you just want to relax and blend in with the massively varied clientele this spot is perfect. Recommend for those in witness protection programs or who are wanting a drink but still wearing your jogging pants from the gym. Food 6/10 take it or leave it. Owner super nice guy. Youll feel welcome totally not fitting in.
