Friday Oct 25th. I was shocked to see this pub had over 4 star reviews so feel bad having to report otherwise. 5 of us girls went to lunch for a birthday. 2 fish and chips went back because the fish was undercooked and the chips cold, a roast beef sandwich went back because it was cold and the chicken strips were dark brown in colour and overcooked, our friend kept the chicken but struggled to eat it. We could not fault the waitress who served us, she did apologize and told us two other orders of fish and chips had been returned that day. It spoilt the day for us as we had to wait for new fish and chips to be made and they were not good either, all batter and very little fish inside.

(late entry -SEPT 4 2024-Always the best quality service and safety. So many memories are shared at this place. Its a great place to make some new ones. If you have not been here you are missing out. I highly recommend you come out of your nearby community and plan to have this spot in your itinerary because you will not be disappointed. **CELIACS** - This place is amazing. They take gluten free very seriously! The front of house and kitchen staff are very knowledgeable. I am confident eating here and drive quite a ways just for the chicken wings!

Chicken burger was overdone and the Cajun fish burger was mush! Used to be good but I won t be back!

Just had my wedding reception dinner here and the staff went way above and beyond I cant not thank them enough my bride is also celiac and had no issues with food and they took so many extra precautions for us Again we cannot express how amazing the staff where and how much they made our day so perfect

Golden Parrots is a gem! The food here is amazing!!! They make their own onion rings and they are so good. Their burgers are homemade and delicious. The place is large with lots of seating. Children are welcome on the restaurant side.

An amazing pub and especially for folks suffering from gluten intolerance. Ive heard the executive chef here suffers from celiac, a pub thats safe to eat at is pretty rare. Try the wings, yam fries, beef short rib sandwich, and their daily specials -- the prime rib meal on a Saturday is excellent.

Very small liquor store with limited selection.

Honestly my husband and I are big local-treasure foodies and enjoy trying out local bars/ pubs in different areas in search of great service, food, and prices and this place checked all three boxes! We visited here on a Saturday for my husbands birthday and he got the Prime Rib special for I believe $27.90. Another of our local favourites offers a prime rib special for $2 more and provides a MUCH smaller cut that Golden Parrot had. Golden Parrot gave an extremely generous portion of Prime Rib with extremely little fat and cooked to exactly my husband s preference. He said by far one of the best prime ribs I have had, well, probably ever. That was delicious! For myself I ordered their tortellini which WAS NOT your basic pre-made pasta. It was fresh and delicious as well. I am vegetarian and hadn t realized the tortellini does have pork, however. When I told the waitress she offered to have it be remade with no issues, even though it was my fault the mistake occurred. The re-made dish came out hot, freshly made, and perfect. Service was efficient and polite. I have recommended this pub to several of my friends already and would recommend anyone in the area give them a try as well!

Came for a Canucks game, food was okay. Ended up getting some pretty stale nachos. I also ordered some other things but the server forgot. Not her fault though because this place was so busy. Amazing atmosphere

Food is alright, just regular pub food. Service is generally quite slow any day or time.

The sweet chilli chicken appetizer was enjoyable, and I felt like I needed something to dilute the spiciness of the last few pieces. They also offered the option of making it a meal.

Hidden Treasure to hang out with your friends. We went for a private group hang for over 50 of us.. and still have plenty of room in the main bar area to catch the game. Very clean, parking is plenty. Food is excellent! Atmosphere is great and the service is fabulous.

Ive been here a few times now and compelled to write a review about this gem! The food is outstanding gastro-pub fare. Even the popular favorites are exceeding well made. High quality ingredients and fresh! Great service always. I live nearby and this is a dependable place to get a drink and casual bite.

I ve read the reviews. While the excuses for some customers bad experiences are very real problems. We were very busy, the glitchy system, we are training new people, we are under staffed ect. In the service industry, telling your customers your problems?? I would try, please come back and give us a chance to make it right. Period

Really appreciate the variety of gluten free options available. They take food allergies seriously. Our server was really nice too always checking on our table. They have specials running every day. I ll come back next Wednesday for the Wings special

Great pub with awesome celiacs menu

I was recommended to this place, I found the food very tasty, atmosphere wasnt bad either, loved how there were t.vs around to follow the Canucks game. Only thing that I was disappointed in was the service, it was alright to start, then after that I felt that no one was coming to check on us, take dishes or see if we wanted anything else. We had to get up a couple of times to get service, place wasnt even that busy at the time.

I was surprised by the quality of their food, and the staff offered good service.

Best wings in the lower mainland by far and the best price. Service is always second to none and theres a heated patio.

Parking: If you are too drunk to drive, they will allow you to park for the night and just register your plate number and you are okay to leave it. THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE HOWEVER IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO YOUR VEHICLE OVERNIGHT. THEY ARE GRACIOUS TO LET US PARK AND STAY.

Saturday special prime-rib was so good! Juicy, tasty and very inexpensive.

BRING A PARKA! Stopped in for wing night Wednesday, joined a group in the front room. Food was delicious and service but the building was freezing. I kept my down jacket and toque on the whole time. Brrrrrr

Ordered a salad for takeout, the salad had nothing but lettuce and chicken. They said they would credit me on my next visit, ordered another salad for takeout and this time it was missing the chicken. Kept trying to call back but no one ever answered the phone.

I had family from out of town come in so we decided to try this Pub dinner. We ordered the artichoke dip for an appetizer and it took 45 mins for it to arrive. The pub was a bit busy but we thought that was quite long for an appetizer. I ordered the Caesar salad with Salmon and it wasn t the best. I was disappointed. The croutons were stale and you could barely bite them. The salmon portion was good tho. Unfortunately I don t think we will return to try this place again

Our first time coming here. The pros: Decent atmosphere. Lots of space. Drinks: The GP sour was good, as was the ceaser. Prices were decent. Fries were pretty good; they had a flavour I couldn t place, almost like a dusting of clove which was surprisingly yummy. The middle of the road: Service was a bit slow but she was pleasant. Wings were very crispy and have potential but (see the cons) The cons: We ordered the mango habanero wings and to our surprise they were a rub rather than a sauce. Okay, my bad for not checking. But the problem was that there was zero flavour. None. We had to ask for hot sauce so we could eat them. We also had the backyard burger & the crispy chicken ceaser wrap. I don t know if their grill was dirty, if it s the oil they used, or what the issue was but both the burger and the wrap (which one side is grilled) had the most bizarre smell and flavour. The chicken was almost burnt and very dry, with very little salad and dressing. I think if you re looking for drinks only with a decent atmosphere, this place will work well for you. And perhaps the other appies are better. But unfortunately I don t think we will be returning.

Love this place. The waitresses are nice and really good with my and my celiac disease as the chef hss to drslnwith gluten-free as well, so they are careful & I feel super safe coming here to eat. Wednesdays are our favorite as our youngest loves wing night

Came for lunch this past Saturday. Some kids band playing kind of ruined the afternoon, but the waitress did let us know it was going to happen. We had driven 45 minutes to get there and were starving. Waited over an hour for food as the kitchen lost the ticket we were told. Weren t compensated at all, food was ok. We came here because I ve had a good experience last time, and we won t come back because of this experience.

My best friend moved back to BC a few weeks ago, and a group of about 10 of us went for lunch. Our server, Isabella, was extremely helpful and accommodating, we were seated on the patio and drinks arrived promptly after ordering. I had been here before for drinks after work about ten years ago, when the establishment was called Mickeys, the environment has only gotten better. The pizzas were good, and at a fair price, and they put up with us. 10/10 experience, really made the day feel special

Used to come here when it was the two parrots, quit going there as quality of food was not great. A group of high-school friends wanted a place easy to get to, so I suggested the Golden Pub. Was perfect for our group, great service, and the was wonderful. Shayne, you have a gem with your girl Holly, all were amazed how she kept the orders straight. We will be back!

I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years. I remember when there when they had 2 live parrots when you entered. Most of time very good food and service. Tonight I was disappointed as 2 of us ordered the prime rib and they were out of Yorkshire we requested to wait until they were ready. The wonderful waitress substituted garlic bread even though we didn t want it. At the end of the meal she checked with the kitchen and apparently they still were not ready. Which would have been fine except we could see other plates lined up with the Yorkshire s on them. We said nothing but I hate being lied to.

Aside from the still stale air inside the pub, the atmosphere is very appealing. The appetizer wasnt astounding, but the beer was crispy cold.

Excellent place for liquor

It s such a busy place and it s a regular spot for most of the people. So you can imagine it s loved by everyone. I ordered veggie burger and my friend ordered chicken sandwich. Food was nice burger was served with fries. Servers were really friendly.

Loved the pierogi platter!

Ordered via Ubereats and not impressed at all. We got the flaming hot chicken sandwich, the tortellini and the Shepard s pie. All were semi okay at best. Won t be ordering from here again.

Outstanding. Ive had a few things here now. The wings are excellent, so is the fish and chips (Scottish mum approved) the short rib sandwich is the best Ive had. Beef is so tender and the bun is lovely and soft. Fries are amazing. Highly recommend! Wheelchair accessibility: They have a lower dining area and a patio that is accessible.

I live 3 minutes away and go here regularly. Food is good to very good but service is ok to terrible and trending downwards. Friendly staff but always talking at the bar instead of dealing with customers. Gonna take this place out of the rotation.

I probably could have given a higher review for food and atmosphere if I could give a -5 for the service. Food was very good but couldnt wait to get out of there because of the absolute horrible service. This lady should not be working in the service industry.

Our server was friendly however we waited almost an hour for our prime rib dinners which were tough and barely warm. Yorkshire puddings were dense and heavy. Very disappointing meal. Food

I love this place! Service and food never misses. I come here every Friday after a long work week its my thing to look forward to. I usually get the steak everytime. I also love that they give their staff Sundays off. Whoever runs this place is doing it right.

Stellar experience at this restaurant/bar. Food has always come out in good time, and the quality is above average for pub eats. Strong emphasis on beer pour/cocktail concocting. Daily specials are good, and Taco Tuesdays are definitely are strong point. I d recommend checking the location out after work if you re working in the United Blvd area, and likely you ll become a regular. Kudos!

First time ordering from here on Uber got the lasagna and daily desert special everything was delicious and packed nicely, and a really nice thank you card with stickers so cute . Fresh food and flavour full. Thank you so much I found my new take out place and I will be sure to tell my family and friends about this gem

Decent pub and bar

We ordered 2 meals one came after a 8 - 10 minute wait we asked where the other was. They said it was a glitch. Not sure how you can bring one meal and not the other and call it a glitch. Another 10 minute wait. And no compensation.

Ok this place is amazing. Gavin and Jamie rock the Bar!!! This is one of my favourite pit stops. Can t wait to come here with group of friends. BEST fries and deep fried pickles anywhere!!! Sorry Cineplex. I m cheating!!!
