Work/Retirement function. Area just proper size, server was kind,courteous, very friendly, knowledgeable to comings and goings of everyone. Fulfilled orders regardless of demand. Need more people like her.

Service was good overall but food wasnt as good as expected.

This is the best kind of sports bar. The food is especially good for its kind, excellent selection on drinks, great space, great service. Happy hour prices are well worth it. We ll be back! Dietary restrictions: People who are sensitive to soybean oil, rejoice. The fries are entirely canola oil!

John B provides great value beers on the weekend.

Haven t been in awhile and won t be back. Horrible service asked 3 times for glasses of water and nothing. Had to ask twice for refills on the drinks. Horrible ceasars. The only good thing I have to say is at least the sub par food was hot.

i live in the neighborhood and have been here a few times. the place has great drinks and food selection. however, i felt neglected by the staff a few times i was here, no particular reason but they never seemed to pay attention to my table. while they were really nice talking to us and helping us with our orders, they were just not frequenting our table enough even though we had lots to order. Hopefully this changes next time i go as i really do like the bar!!

Friendly staff and great food!

Food was phenomenal and the menu is so impressive in its variety. And so fairly and reasonably priced for the quality. Will be a regular. So stoked. The Faux Wrap was so solid.

Sunday afternoon-waited @ front for 10-15 minutes for a hostess to set us. Placed at a table. No menus. Sat there for 15 mi utes with no service. A table got seated beside us-given menus and were served. We walked out. We ve been here before with amazing service. Not acceptable.

Overall underwhelming experience. Slow impersonal service. Below average bar burgers. I had the john b burger hoping for a signature dish made well. The main problem seems to be not enough waitresses.

Visited whilst I was on Holiday, and the atmosphere for the NFL game was great! Lots of different beer options, and the staff were keeping tabs on us for further drinks in a timely manner

Went here on a random Wednesday night and it seemed it was trivia night! We did not participate but watched and it seemed very fun and there was a great atmosphere. The food was pretty solid as well and wasnt super expensive. They have a massive selection of tap beers. I tried a local tap that was very good but then got a asahi super dry on tap and It tasted horrible. It tasted like their taps had not been cleaned as the taste was nothing like what asahi should taste like. I would say be careful on the beer you order and maybe only get local beer as it seemed to taste a lot better from my experience.

If you like football followed by karaokee then there is no better place on a Sunday.

Had a great time at the karaoke night that takes place every Sunday. The drinks were top notch, I particularly enjoyed the Hi There hard iced tea. The waitstaff was a bit difficult to flag down sometimes, but the service was great otherwise. Definitely will be coming back for karaoke and drinks again.

I like it but that day was too crowded and noisy

This is definitely a chill older crowd place. Think about being a retired surfer and chilling out. Great patio, music and can even take your older aunts, mum and grandparents for lunch and brunch. Love it. Late night cannot respond. But a community feel here among a quiet places amongst the towering metropolis of skyscrapers down the road.

I drove 20 minutes to come for their Monday Wings special. When I arrived there was a sign to seat myself. Every seat was reserved and i was not approached by any staff to tell me they had an event so I spent 2 minutes walking around. I checked all of their social media platforms and they are still actively promoting dine in specials while not accepting any customers.

Love the John beet salad.. but we always came for the Tomahawk with Hasselbeck potato.. now that it is not offered, not really interested. We can go anywhere to get the same mundane typical menu closer to home.. thank you for the fantastic service and atmosphere though.. just sucks you are arranging your menu like all the other places around the lower mainland. Typical and mediocre for the price.

Very disappointed by the customer service. We were denied to even sit there and have something to eat just because we didn t had ID s. We were not gonna drink today but they didn t even let us sit. I just wanted to eat fries as this was my thing. This used to be my favourite place as we live 10min away from the place. Not anymore. Very sad about that.

Its a great local gem. A lot of variety for food and drinks. Nachos are fully loaded, large shareable portions. Ive had two large gatherings (25+ people) here and they are always accommodating. I definitely recommend visiting

I simply LOVE this place! I discovered John B Pub shortly after I moved to Canada and it s been my fav pub to date. I ve visited quite a few times and it s ALWAYS great, same quality (or better), excellent service, great atmosphere. There s never been a single incident where I was disappointed - thank you so much for providing consistently excellent experiences!

I was most impressed with wonderful hekp while at this store. Couldnt be more helpful. I was asking re lovely drink Mama Mango. I had a friend get me a few bottles of this item from Costco in Calgary. I could have ordered a dozen in a case. When sharing & loved, it goes quickly. Cost is $8.98 + 5% tax. I didnt go to John B Pub, liqor store next to it. John B has great service, good food too. Never disappointed!

A retirement function was held there Sept. 19, the management was unfriendly and non supportive of our celebration program The JOHN B GETS A D FROM ME. I wont be back or recommend this place.

Was on the patio recently enjoying the summer but another patron a few tables away (who may have been overserved) was loudly using prophanity for a long period of time. I asked the server about their policy and would they do anything and I was told that since it was an adult establishment and no minors were allow, the pub wouldnt interfer with the very rude patron, then I left. We all know that children have been allowed in all pubs for over ten years, they just cant drink. This was a very sad experience.

Went there for my buddies birthday party. Great music food and atmosphere.. no more clubs, but dj was great with mixes kept everyone dancing.

This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. I got the shrimp pasta with white wine sauce and it was delicious. It was also on special that day (I believe it was a happy hour situation or because of the day of the week) either way, it was fantastic and the server was great too. Ill be back. Parking: The parking lot was busy but I was able to get a spot.

Nice local pub. It was really busy when we visited as it was quiz night but the server found us a table. The pub had a good selection of beer and wines at reasonable prices. The food was ok.

Its such a fun pub with a great menu. They let me book a big event in their space, and it worked out so well. The happy hour menu was a hit and everyone enjoyed the drinks and eats.

While my visits are infrequent, they are always delightful. I recently enjoyed the tail end of their happy hour and was fortunate to be served by the remarkable Megs. Her friendly demeanor, helpful nature, and attentiveness made the experience exceptional.

Went to the John B on a Wednesday evening. Greeted by a very friendly hostess at the door and taken right away to a table on the patio. The patio is large and very open, with tvs outside and a roof. The server was quick to greet us at the table and bring us menus, the beer menu was outdated and had items they no longer carry, so the waitress got us an updated version. Had the conquistador burger and fries and the burger was top notch, fries were delicious and the dipping sauce was good as well. Waitress Brandi was very attentive and came by multiple times to check on us and get us new drinks. Was quick to bring the bill and friendly for our entire visit. Would definitely go again.

Casual and comfortable. The high ceiling and well laid out seating make for good conversation. My burgers were good both my recent visits. There is a number of products from local breweries on tap. May 24 update: I tried the conquisitor burger and it was good. Parking: Part of a plaza, shared outdoor parking lot.

Best pub food Ive had in a long time and go during happy hour and they have a lot of good drinks then and good priced appetizers and entrees.

SERVICE: Great experience with Courteney this Monday night! The service was incredible, fast, and knowledgeable. FOOD: We had wings, chicken karage, and spring rolls. Everything was hot and crispy. LOVED THIS PLACE! 100% would come again. :)

John B Pub is a long standing model of consistency. Their food service and atmosphere go unrivaled in Coquitlam. Always good for just the food but the nightly entertainment is also worth going for. We have our volleyball wrap up twice a year and the variety of appies are all excellent. The chicken wings are exceptional

First time here. What an absolute treat. I had the crispy mac and cheese, and i wish i was a ruminant so i could have 3 stomachs to fill up with this delicious concoction. GREAT JOB!

It is a very nice place and awesome beer selection. Looks like a place to also dance during Saturday night. The only issue for me was that the music was too loud, I couldnt hear anything my friends were telling me nor the server talking. Anyway, I recommend the chocolate cookie for dessert, it was delicious.

Always a pleasure at our neighborhood pub. The outdoor seating was wonderful on a sunny day, and the drinks were delightful! I am also overjoyed to find Crab Rangoon! Parking: Plenty of parking in the free lot, as well as handicapped spots. Kid-friendliness: Not a place for kids. Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicapped parking and a wheelchair ramp. The floors are able to be navigated with a wheelchair.

A pretty standard, old-school pub/restaurant. While theres nothing truly exceptional about the food and service (I mean they are good, but not WOW), I really loved the ambiance, which feels like a true community hub.

Definitely the best pub in Coquitlam, staff are great, and food is more that what youd expect for pub food. I only go during the week and its still a great time.

Came here for brunch with my husband, I got the Seoul bowl, he got the eggs Benedict. The bowl was delicious, highly recommend.

We went on a Friday night, the restaurant pub atmosphere went from great to bopping with great music. Service was fantastic and food was really really good. Definitely will be back.

Had to take my 5 star down to a 2 star. Not a fan of the limited breakfast menu until noon, why not just do full menu always? I thought that was more of a McDonalds/ A&W kind of thing.

I ve frequented John Bs for almost a year now, and every single time I go in it feels like home. Every staff member is wonderful, the food is always great, and they ve got awesome happy hour specials. I m from a small town on vancouver island and it was really hard for me coming to the mainland to start something new. When I was introduced to this pub it immediately made me feel like I was back home where everyone was so friendly. I love the staff, I love the dance floor, I love the ginger beef, I love the John B!

This place is like a pub meets club meets restaurant. Its like a mix of all three. Its a pub and restaurant during the day and club in the evenings. Service from the waitress we got was phenomenal. She was just so great. Was even looking out for the people that were designated drivers and not pressuring drinks and even offering to bring a substitute drink so that you could fit it. Even though it was so busy, she was able to be so accommodating and attentive. 5 starts for service!!
