I really wish I had found this place earlier—it’s excellent! Though I’m not a fan of spicy food, I keep coming back for their marinated pork loin. Their daily specials are also consistently great!
I order take out regularly and it always delivers crispy and warm. Just an easy comfort food that tastes great! I recommend getting the sauce on side if you dine there.
Very big and thick port cutlets. The original gives you two pieces. I noticed the salads and rice portions got a bit smaller than few years ago but the price and what you get is very good deal. Tastes great as well
Great food and good price. Always leave full and satisfied
Food is really good! Serving is quite big. I ordered their Original Pork Cutlet and it comes with 2 cutlets with gravy, salad, rice and miso soup. They are really generous with the amount of gravy that they pour over my cutlets. The sauce is good and it has a slight taste of sweetness with it. So good!! Will come back again to try the other items in the menu🥰
Good place. Enough room for customer, food came out very hot and fresh. They did forget to bring us the coke we ordered though. Lady was kind, everything was good and I didn't feel sick after eating from here. Would definitely recommend. Portion sizes are also pretty big.
Delicious chicken cutlet with huge portions (2 large cutlets per order). Sauce is different from katsu pork (Japanese variety) and it is a bit sweeter. It also came with white rice, corn, and coleslaw. Luckily we shared between two people as we weren’t very hungry and it was perfect. We added the Korean kimchi soup for $1.99 and it made for a good meal. Restaurant itself is not very big but has a decent number of seats. Parking on street or nearby at Coquitlam Centre parking lot.
Surprisingly amazing. Huge portions at a reasonable price. We had the Original Pork Cutler, Chicken Cutlet and Mushroom Burger Steak. They all come with rice, salad. We ordered 3 plates for 2 people and it was too much we gad to pack the other one to go. My favourite so far is the Chicken Cutlet. Highly recommended.
Consistently good food, friendly owners! Love their pizza cutlet, hamburg steak, fish cutlet, and potato slices in fried chicken.
Pretty good cutlet!
We eat here regularly as food is usually not just good it s perfect ! Unfortunately we had some delivered as I was feeling under the weather and we ordered 2 combo meals ; first was perfect as usual - Second was supposed to be 2 pizza cutlets and we received a mushroom hamburger steak meal . After 20 minutes of explaining - sending pictures to show them a simple error was made the end result was told we are incorrect and food is correct !!!?!! Sadly this being one of our favorite places to eat has turned us off of risking wasting money to ever try again . Shame such a great place was so stubborn to simply admit a mistake happened and correct it .
I have been coming here for a few years. Food are always good and reasonable price. Service is always good and the people are nice and humble.
The food was delicious. But the server service is not good It was unpleasant. I was perplexed several times by the service, which was indifferent to my seat guidance, did not listen to my requests for orders and bills, and was contrary to my polite tone of voice. I want to go again because the food tastes good. I dont want to go if I get that kind of service again.
good food, partly what got me out of depression
Everything was delicious and the service was equally good. I even have enough leftover for lunch tomorrow .
Used to be much better, but they appear to have changed their recipes for a few things like their gravy and sauces, which are now very bland. Too bad, it used to be much better.
Deep fried place. Chicken pork cutlets etc. a bit over priced and doesnt feel clean
Not bad at all. In the era of fewer Korean pork cuttlet restaurants, Daeji was only one option to try Korean cuttlet with the various menus. But there are many Japanese style Korean cutlet restaurants in the lower main land currently. Daeji menus are more friendly to Korean abput 40 to 50 ages. I go to the fancy Jap-Kor style cuttlet restaurant, too, but I recommend Daeji if you try the old school with a pork cuttlet with thick gravy sauce instead of fruit based gravy sauce. Also, I like the Kimchi fried rice with a good portion.
Not only is the food great, but the service is very good and friendly.
Delicious!
Their known for their pork and chicken cutlet and it is very good with large meat portions.
Dae-ji has the best Korean Pork Cutlet in the tri-cities! Great staff, great family, and a great overall experience. Would recommend to anyone!
good food.
Great food, great staff!
Awesome place to eat grate taste food axelent service except some young group of people a bit loud.
Great place to chill at 3pm.. had a small pork cutlet plate.. I still miss the DaeJi location that was in lougheed area.. I loved that place.. still with nostalgia thank you!
Great food, fast and friendly service.
I was looking old school style Korean pork cutlet. This is the one!!! I am very happy to find it. Parking: Next to Coquitlam centre. Never worry about parking space.
Yummy and the server is really kind and attentive. So much enjoyed eatting here :)))
Decided to have dinner here with my friends on a whim. There was 8 of us and we called ahead and the restaurant was able to accommodate us despite being a small place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is homey
The food is fresh and from local business. No frills just great food. The deserts are home made too.
Was amazing went there with a large group for the size of the restaurant had great service and the food was delicious was my first time trying it and was blown away shared alot of the dishes and everyone was great Parking: I would say just park at mall but dont know parking rules there.
Dae-ji serves delicious Korean-style pork cutlet with flavorful sauces/side dishes. Unlike Japanese pork cutlets, which are known for their thick cuts and perfected batter from renowned restaurants like Narikura and Manze, Dae-ji is quite different from them. Its thinner, close to schnitzel but served with delicious sauce made out from brown roux. The portion of the original pork cutlet is huge enough to feed both my wife and myself. For the price, its a cost-effective meal that comes with flavor. Dont allow fear to prevent you from trying the little side-dishes; they are both delicious and addictive. The curry is also the traditional Korean style using the powdered curry which I grew up having back in Korea. Its quite different from super flavorful and thick Japanese style curry. I would just try the original cutlet to begin with unless you are comfortable with Korean style curry. For the generous portion it offers and how authentic it is, Im really looking forward to coming back whenever I have a sudden craving for Korean port cutlets!
Where to find drug kimchi fried rice
Love their pork cutlet combo. Simple and delicious. I always get it through Uber Eats delivery. Still crispy and warm when I get the food. Today I can t rate them on the UberEats app. Not sure why. I usually have the option. Anyway, that s why I am posting here instead. Edited: I was able to rate them on Uber Eats. Got a pop up later to do so. 5 stars!
Delicious food. Worth a visit!
I ate the basic and garlic pork cutlet. The food is plentiful and delicious~ If you are a man, the portion size will be appropriate, and if you are a woman who eats less, you can order a small portion.
Dae-ji is a great place to try out. I have tried menu items between pork cutlet and kimchi fried rice, and have not been disappointed. The prices are pretty good for large portions and the service is solid too.
Never disappointed
I wish it wasnt as expensive (used to be cheaper) but otherwise no complaints. They are quick with their food, it is hot and tasty. Their chicken is also very good even though they are a cutlet house. They also have hamburger steaks and fish cutlet as well, but their classic pork cutlet is the best. Will definitely be coming back. I appreciate the fast service and quality food.
Of all the Daeji branches, this is the friendliest and the food is clean, so people come here for food. Satisfied today as well!!
I ordered boneless fried chicken. It was too dry and portion was very small. I am longtime customer. I am so disappointed. I will never ordered from here again.
The Pork is okay, but the steak is disappointing. Apparently overcooked, the steak was not juicy at all and plain. It was not even hot when served, whereas we ve waited for a long time.
Portion, taste and service is pretty good here but pricing has gone up quite a bit from what it used to be. I still think it tastes good so I would recommend coming here for lunch or dinner.
ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS PLACE!! Ive been going here for a couple of years now, and their quality of food remains unmatched. Dae Ji has many locations, but this is my favourite one. I always get Original, Chicken, or Fish Cutlet because they are my favourites. Each order of cutlet comes with rice, salad, corn, and some macaroni. I never knew it was such a great combination until now. And all of this is for about $15!! Their service is great too, sometimes I visit with my dad and they give us free miso soup. Small but cozy restaurant great to dine inside- food is always worth getting because of taste and portion. Vegetarian options: There is not many vegetarian options- Dae Ji is more like a traditional Korean restaurant (and Koreans love meat). Id say go for the Corn Cheese or Kimchi Fried Rice without meat.
A restaurant that provides healing to our family. The friendly owners service mind is so good that I feel happy and visit often. All of the food is generous and delicious for the price.
Great food, great options
I love their food, and the staff is always friendly
One of the best goto places for a quick bite or takeout near coquitlam city centre. Their deep fried cutlets are way way better and healthier than any fast food brands. Consistent food quality and customer service.
Delicious cutlets and generous portions. If you happen to order a cutlet, you can also substitute the rice for french fries!
Its so delicious. Kimchi fried rice is fantastically delicious. pork cutlet is crispy over time. Thank you for providing good food.
I had the cheese hamburger steak combo and I found it quite tasty. Bring your appetite because you get a lot of food. Good prices, too.
Their chicken culet witht Tartar source is perfect, and also the sweet boneless chicken is amazing. Definitely should try.
Fast service, reliable quality of food, big portions.
Amazing food! Its wonderful every time we order!
Good spot to get pork cutlet and rice. The portion are big and the gravy on the pork cutlet is delicious. You will need your vaccine card to dine here. They don t accept American Express here.
The basic pork cutlet and cheese pork cutlet are delicious.
Delicious!!!
probably the best fried chicken ever had in metro vancouver. highly recommended .
Absolutely love Dae-ji so when we moved to Coquitlam center area we were happy to see one and gave it a try. TL DR: The quality at this location is horrible. Go to the one near lougheed for consistent quality. We had our favorite boneless soy chicken. Instead of coming in a vented box it was on paper in invented styrofoam. By the time we got home (less than 5 minutes) it was mush. The effect of being unvented was compounded by the nearly complete lack of sauce. It appeared like they poured a couple tablespoons on the bottom of the empty container, dropped piping hot chicken on top and quickly closed it. Sides and salad had ketchup sprayed on it for some reason. Our rice dish was ok but basically not too different from buying some korean bbq marinade and making it at home. Guess were going to Lougheed.
The staff is friendly and if you want to taste old-fashioned pork cutlet, this is definitely the place.
The price is grow too high right, chicken cutlet after tax is up to 15, it use to be 12. same food with no change........
Amazing place for Korean Chicken and Pork Cutlets! Gotta get the spicy volcano chicken if you like spice!
Clean, kind, delicious and comfortable, best place to eat and more ....!!!!
Very good everythings
Great place for Korean style fried chicken. Family friendly. Reasonable price. We always get kimchi soup add-on for $1.99
Best chicken
Delicious food in generous portions. Their pork chop is delicious and crispy on the outside. The fried chicken is pretty good as well. Service is impersonal but usually quick.
Fresh big portion with good price
Really friendly server and affordable prices
Good food for good prices. Not a big place so groups of 4ish are better when it is busy. Love the kimchi fried rice.
Good hamburger steak.
Nice place for korean style katsu. Interesting variations of katsu-like dishes - chicken, pork, fish, shrimp...all the meats! Fair portion and Moderately priced. Clean and friendly.
I ordered half& half for sweet& sour and soy sauce chicken with bone. Guess what they gave half sweet & sour and regular with no bone. If they dont understand and they are having trouble with my order they could at least reconfirm ? I didnt know until I got there. Very disappointed
Solid food at a reasonable price
Nice quaint little place for some good fried food.
Out of the Dae-Ji Chain, the coquitlam location seems to put in the most effort, attention to detail, and as a result the food just seems to taste better. Ive had an assortment of their dishes from three of their locations across the lower mainland and its this location I keep going back to. Service is great, food is good, and its a good Korean fusion place. Would recommend their kimchi rices and pretty much any cutlet and burgersteak combos. Good bang for buck food, nothing fancy, but theyve definitely elevated the ordinary.
The taste was good and the store was clean.
decent food for the price
Great local eats.
Reasonable price for lunch
This Dae Ji compared to other branches such as the one in North Road, this Dae ji gives less portions of rice and meat.
my favourite dae-ji location! theyre generous with the amount of food they give and employees are attentive and kind :) also food doesnt take forever to come out!
Quality just isnt there, everything is just ok.
They have excellent omelette rice! Seemed reminiscent of Japanese cooking. Service can be a bit spotty, but still fairly fast to order and eat.
Excellent service. Great food. Fairly priced. Always a great dining experience :)
Ordered for take-out only to find they had messed up my order. Called back to rectify the order but the order-taker pretended to not understand what I was saying. Got charged for something I didnt get. Ive had dae-ji in Lougheed and Surrey and their service far exceeds the one provided at this location.
Delicious every time we come here!
Taste good.
This is the worst location of Dae-ji. I have been to multiple location of Dae-ji, but this location is totally different. Their portion is half of the size of the other location, their patties are dry. I am very disappointed. I was very excited when it opened a new location. Since they are chain restaurant, I think they should make things more consistent
Good price, good food, decent service and mostly clean. Only thing is the portion is somewhat small, but to be honest the modest price does make up for it.
Incredibly dry cutlets, uninspired menu, and service that made it seem like I was actively victimizing the wait staff when I ordered. I had high hopes for an Asian cutlet restaurant opening up in Coquitlam, but Dae-ji definitely wasnt what I had in mind. When is Saboten expanding?
One of the best Korean chicken places in town!
Cutlets are delicious, staff friendly and food comes at a reasonable time. Does not seem to serve tea though, only ice water
Big portion sizes but good price.
Tasty food and good portions expect to spend around $14
Yummy pork!
More-than-enough size cutlets. Perfect choice of a corn side dish. Sauce can be too greasy for some. But this place is really good
Love the chicken cutlet and their kimchi fried rice is to die for. They struggle with speaking English so be patient when providing orders as you may have to repeat yours depending on who your servers are.
Good place for Korean style low cost pork cutlery.
Its worse than before. The price is rising and the taste and quantity are not good. Above all, the managers behavior was truly the worst.
Well... opinions... If this is good, thank you. Please eat it!! I ate Buljokbal and it was really delicious. But its really delicious.
Great food even better price
Good food with reasonable price
The pork cutlet is delicious, but the chicken is not so good~
Tasty food with good atmosphere! I highly recommend this place!
One of my favourite Korean spots! The food is so good and the staff is so good. The prices are great too.
Best Don Katsu restaurant in Vancouver
Its true that the quality of this restaurant is slightly worse. However, it is still a nice diner considering foods and prices.
Pretty solid. The prices did go up but the food and service is always great!
My go to place for deep fried pork/chicken cutlets.
Looks good and Yummy
Favourite for chicken
big serving and great tasting korean food
Here is a Korean family restaurant. The waiter is very friendly to introduce their menu when I was first time in the restaurant. I had pork curry, and it is delicious.
Sevices is really good and the food is on top~~
Enjoy chicken & port curtlet
Its so delicious and the workers are friendly too. Highly recommended!
I ordered takeout from the location on North Rd. There was hair in my food, their customer service was horrible and the male server even swore behind me when I went back to make a complaint. Probably the worst customer service experience Ive had.
