From the famous ancient Silk Road, Uyghur food is highly influenced by both Middle Eastern and Chinese cuisine. Famous for hand pulled noodles, big plate chicken and tender lamb shank over rice. Come experience the taste of ancient silk road.
The food is amazing, quality of ingredients as well as just the combination of flavors is awesome and to get anything similar you would have to travel hours. Anyone complaining about how long it takes should order in advance rather than post invalid reviews, food like this HAS TO TAKE TIME which is why it tastes how good it is, if you can’t wait this long for something out of this world go get fast food. City is blessed to have such a talented chef willing to share his food.
First time here and ordered the lamb shank with naan (menu #5). The lamb was tasty, but small portion. The bread portion was large, but quite hard texture. Fun to try, but wouldn't go out of my way to return.
This place is real boutique place just for Uyghur cusine, as the owner does everything byhimself, it brings the real taste of Uyghur cusine. Samsa and Somen is highly recommended.
Of the Uyghur restaurants in Greater Vancouver still in business, this might be the best in terms of food quality and flavors. But there's a big caveat: Be prepared to wait for a long time! With only one person in front of me, I still waited at least 20 min just to get my order taken and maybe another 20 min to get food. Some people who got in line shortly after me, didn't get to put in their order until sometime after I got my food. Meaning they probably waited 40 min just to order and who knows how long to eat. This is because there's only one person (owner/operator?) working, who seems to come out to the front to take one or two orders, before disappearing into the kitchen for extended periods of time, hand pulling noodles and ensuring the food is as fresh as can be.
Great food that's worth the wait and the setting. It's set in a food court, so it's not like you're in the greatest of surroundings. However, the food is more than worth it. Went for the polo (lamb shank with rice) and a samsa (meat-filled pastry). The samsa was delicious, and I would happily come again to buy 5 and take them away. The portion of the polo was huge, the lamb tender, and the rice very flavourful, especially with the spicy cucumber salad mixed in, which added a bit of heat. Don't come expecting fast food (its setting in a food court is a bit deceptive in this sense). It does take a little while to get it (probably 15 mins for me, and I came at a quiet time of day). But, I would much rather wait the time to get good quality food, than get instant food which was reheated / prepared poorly etc.
Amazing food. Poor experience. The entire operation is done by a single person, who appears to be cooking and on phone the entire time. He seems withdrawn and uninterested in taking orders from anyone. The wait for food is VERY long, almost 30 minutes for a bowl of lamb shank and nan. The lamb shank is super tender and the soup is very flavourful with a hint of spiciness. There could be more meat though. The nan is excellent, especially dipped into the soup. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place due to the slow service.
Tried the lamb shank with naan! The soup that comes with it tastes fresh and super hot! Lamb shank is juicy and soft. The naan was crazy good, it was crispy on the outside and soft inside. Great for dipping with the soup, I wish there was more lamb sauce that came with it.
Had a crave for 手抓饭。did some googling and decided to try here which was the best decision of the day. We went a little before lunch time so the wait was not bad at all. 手抓饭 was just fantastic. My husband ordered the soup, bread and lamb leg and it was just beyond the word. We ended up taking extra five bread home to share with friends and families. The owner is doing everything by himself including taking orders, prep of the food and serving it over the counter. So I understand it will take some time if it’s really busy. But definable worth the wait and drive!
Food is good, getting service is difficult. You see lots of customers just walk away because of no service. I managed to get service the first time, but on another day, I couldn t get service. Food
The food is always 10/10! The owner works by himself and everything is made fresh by his own hands. If youre wanting a good home-cooked meal, this is definitely the place to go and support a true small business!
The best Xinjiang food in Vancouver, but the waiting time is long
This store is in the Henderson Mall foodcourt. For those who require Halal food, they can find it here. The dishes he serves, particularly the meat turnovers and noodles are very good, as they are made fresh. Only downside is that it takes long to get your order due to it being made fresh for you. But if you have the time, definitely recommend a visit.
My bank card fears this man. Hes just too good. (Ive bought 3 times from this man in the same day)
Worth the wait, amazing food
nice and yummy food
After reading the high reviews, as a Xinjiang native, I drove nearly an hour just for the taste of my hometown. Its a pity that except for the noodles being served freshly, the rest has nothing to do with Xinjiang Tiaozi.
Number one lamb and rice was amazing . Owner is extremely nice. Must try . Thank you
First time trying Kashgar Uyghur food, waited twenty minutes for soup. Only owner himself running the store, but food was bomb. Ended up getting more food to bring home to eat. Would recommend. Will return to wait another 20 minutes for more food.
Extremely Poor service at all time.
High lamb leg meal . Thank you
Went here on 8/31/24, which was the first day of a long weekend. We waited till 12:30, but the store was still closed. If the owner decides not to open on a specific day, could they simply update Google Maps? Service
Previous problems, such as placing an online order successfully, he insisted that it was not done until I found out the order... I won t give more examples, but this experience was very unpleasant: after skipping the order, he made it when he arrived at the store. Wrong. After making a large plate of chicken again, the taste was very bland. It seemed that almost no salt was added. After I asked, he said, I dont know. I just followed the previous method. Its the same as before... Say something. His tone was not very good either, and he finally said, What do you want from me? Bad attitude
Very tasty That s definitely Xinjiang Kashgar food!
Food is ok, but took 40mins for only 1 order. Very slow for food court
It takes a long time but definitely worth the wait! Very authentic Chinese Xinjiang food
Fantastic noodles. Some of the best Ive had around here.
Really good I m wordless!! Love the lamb soup so much
The lamb soup and roasted buns taste good. Price is reasonable. Theyre located in the food court, typically closing around 7 pm.
Very good food. Strong flavour and punchy spices. Appears to be hand made so that totally makes up for the wait times. Would recommend!!
I haven t had Lagman for over 15 years since my childhood in Makkah - I couldn t believe myself when I looked it up and this humble place has it all. The noodles was fresh, hand pulled on the spot, I enjoyed every bite of it, and the portion was absolutely generous. I came all the way from west van, and I couldn t be happier. It brought back beautiful memories. Rakhmat!
Best Halal central Asian food ever in Greater Vancouver. I strongly recommend you to try lagman, lamb shank soup and other noodles and meat samsa! Great and delicious
We were really excited to try this place but it was a very underwhelming experience. It was after 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. We were the only ones waiting at their stall, and the person working did not even acknowledge us and continued to stare at their cell phone. It took over 5 minutes before our order was finally taken, and then maybe 20 minutes more before our food was ready - which would have been acceptable except our food was barely lukewarm at best once we got it. It s really too bad because the taste was actually pretty good. Maybe don t expect too much, given it s still just a food court. Sadly it s just another overhyped place.
The grilled buns, large plate of chicken and Xinjiang fried noodles in this restaurant are super delicious, and the boss makes all the noodles freshly. It just takes a long time. If you are hungry, you must not choose this restaurant. The good food takes time to cook.
I have been waiting forever to try authentic Uyghur food and just so happened to stumble upon this fine establishment. I approached the front counter to place my order with 1.5hr left before closing and the owner said Im sorry brother we actually had to close early today we sold out of 95% of our menu today. My heart sank because I was so excited, but was also filled with joy because I knew if a restaurant sold out early I know it meant this place is amazing. The owner could tell I was saddened to hear that but I knew It was tough to say to a customer. He then said I have enough for one order of Lamb Polo and the lamb dumpling soup if I was interested. I quickly said yes and took him up on the offer. This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time, and I am very very grateful for the owner to allow me to experience true Uyghur Cuisine. The food was perfectly seasoned and cooked every bite filled me with joy. Highly Highly recommend this place to anyone out there reading this, you truly wont make a bad decision by coming here. Proper 10/10 rating!!! Thank you so much , and I definitely will always be coming back here!
The food at this restaurant is fantastic. It is one of my family s go to restaurant and we drive 30 minutes out of our way just for the restaurant. The food is fresh, flavourful, and hearty. We always get a few extra samsas and meat pies to eat over the next few days because they are delicious and so well made. Everything we ve tried at the restaurant has been exceptional, with our favourites being the ququre soup, polo, and dapanji.
Perfect place , will visit again when around
Tried the lamb shank with rice! The rice is so full of taste! Lamb shank is spot on! Need to try the naan and soup next time! It is halal too.
Real good. Thank you uncle!
I had their chicken dish (sorry I don t remember the name) and it was so flavourful and delicious. 10/10
The owner is running this food court site as a restaurant. Both the price and waiting time (also the food taste and quality) are matching a dine-in restaurant, but the service is totally a down side, even by food court standard. He just ignores the customers ringing bell and continues to prepare food or talk with his friends or someone. When talking to customers, he often seems impatient, doesnt want to explain in detail.
Not too often do you come across Uyghur food (and in a foodcourt and a Chinese style Mall). Pretty decent food. They also hand stretch their noodles. Its worth a try. Free parking at Henderson Mall. Parking: Rooftop parking off Lincoln. Kid-friendliness: Its a food court so great for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible at the mall
Came here for the dapanji (chicken with hand pulled noodle) which was really good! The baozi (lamb buns) were average, the lamb filling was kind of tough and chewy. Saw people order other dishes and they looked good too, just beware that the wait time is generally quite long (I 40 minutes for those 2 dishes, so did everyone else who ordered before and after me, and yes it is a a food court restaurant lol)
Food and hospitality, both deserve a 5 star
Absolutely delicious food, everyone should try atleast once. Loved it.
Great place. Fully halal.
This place is a gem. They hand make the noodles, seemingly to order. Food takes a bit longer to come out, but its absolutely delicious. Recommend getting the Lagman, lots of veggies and meat on top of a huge pile of hand stretched noodles in an absolutely delicious sauce. Get a Uyghur Nan so clean up your plate!
Genuine rice grabbing!
Excellent lamb
Food is so awesome !! Comes here almost every weekend. No2 and no3 for nodlle lovers !
Only one worker in the entire shop. Waited 5min. Does not come out to take my order. Rang the bell. He looked at me from the kitchen, then just looked away and continued to do his work. Waited another 5min. Still did not come out or even acknowledge me. So I left.
The Uyghur fried noodles and thin-skinned toasted buns are simply amazing. The best restaurant in Vancouver
I really liked that they have Uyghur culture in the lower mainland of BC. I tired their lamb Samsa so delicious. Plus the lamb didnt have that strong flavor that they have in other places. I tried the Dapanji but it had too many bones so I couldnt really enjoy the meal. But I would still recommend the place
Big piece of lamb shank, at a very reasonable price. Friendly owner greets with a smile. The naan was also good :) Food
Recommend! Very delicious
I wish I could give it 6 stars! The food here is amazing. The Big Plate Chicken ( ) was absolutely delicious! I havent had such authentic taste in a long time. The noodles are obviously hand pulled. They were long and delightfully chewy. The entire dish was so flavorful.. Do be warned, there are Sichuan peppercorns in it, and the chicken is bone in. But it all contributed to the awesome flavor. I finished the entire plate, even though I was full half way through... The Thin crust Samsa was also very good. Cant wait to try other dishes here. (Although, I dont know how anything can be better than the Big Plate Chicken) Do be patient, and prepare to wait. The owner works here by himself. He is very friendly. But it does get busy. And he obviously makes his food with a lot of care. Trust me, its worth the wait. I wish he could hire a few more people and open a real restaurant. The food quality is definitely there! (Btw, Im not related to the owner at all, just very excited to discover this amazing food. )
Want noodles with best spicy chicken sauce? This place is like a hidden gem
best food in the lower mainland
I normally don t leave restaurant reviews, but had to for this one. I ve had food from this place several times in person and by delivery and they never disappoint me. Food is always freshly cooked, and we can see the owner hand pulling all the noodles and doughs in the kitchen once we order. For that reason, the wait time is expected to be a bit longer, but DEFINITELY WORTH IT. I do recommend going before getting super hungry. But the quality is guaranteed and the food is constantly good. Me and my boyfriend have tried more than half of the food on the menu now and we will be coming back for the other dishes as well.
Pleasantly surprised to find this gem! Read tons of positive reviews about this place, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. We got the Dapanji and Somen, and both were delicious! Looking forward to coming back soon.
I came there just because of reviews. Never come back. I was waiting for someone to take my order, and then some owners friends came by talking to him in their language, and he served them first, ignoring me
The mall is relatively long overall, and the uncle who cooks it is very nice. However, the disadvantage is that the wait is relatively long, because there is only one person in the whole store. The naan is very delicious . My family buys a lot every time I come here. Dietary restrictions: muslim meal
Excellent. No need to say more.
Worth the wait! I ordered the Dapanji bug chicken plate, noodles are hand pulled and the dish is so flavourful.
I got Dapanji and the chicken is horrible. Almost all pieces are chicken neck which contains only skin and bones which are barely eatable. Seasoning is decent.
best baked buns in town
The samsa is delicious with a fragrant flavour I have never had anywhere else! I have been to many Chinese restaurants in Vancouver and this unassuming food court stall is easily the top 3! The place made my trip!
Best uyghur food in the lower mainland. Rice was good amount, not too much. Meat was juicy and tender. Will come again. Hope the owners can expand into more locations like Vancouver
Got the rice dish (Polo) and the lamb shank with naan and soup. Both are great but the rice plate (polo) was amazing. The lamb shank had zero smell. HIGH QUALITY lamb on top of it all.
Amazing food a hidden gem
For a food court place, the food was served ridiculously slowly and took the entire lunch break to make. I had no time to eat the food.
Up until today I was unfamiliar with the Uyghur cuisine, but decided to give this restaurant a try at the Henderson food court. We ordered the Dapanji (chicken), samsa and sangza, and all were excellent! Will be returning here in the future! Kop rakhmat!
Great food for meat lovers.... One of the best places in Hendo for food.
Food were not great, rice and lamb was really blend, noodle was ok, nan was solid hard. Only the owner running the store, expect to wait for minimum 30min. Not recommend
Resturant quality food. Was great i has never tried food from this region and I am glad I did. The chef will take his time to make to food but you worn be disappointed. I had the Somen. Had made noodle with lame and going back.
Today s visit to Kashgar Uyghur Cuisine at Henderson Place Mall in Coquitlam was my first time trying Uyghur food, and I was beyond impressed! The Uyghur nan was fresh and delicious. The sangza was perfectly crunchy and tasty. Above all, the service was welcoming and friendly, establishing a positive atmosphere even when ordering to-go. 10/10 would recommend! Also, vegetarian and halal options are available. Vegetarian options: The Uyghur nan and sangza are two of the vegetarian menu items, and they are delicious!
Lets get the downside out of the way. Youre looking at restaurant cooking times on your order. Worth every minute. I ordered a meat pie. The crust was wonderfully crisp, the meat lightly spiced and moist. Honestly one of the better meals Ive had in some time.
Went on the weekend and cant wait to go again. First time trying and absolutely loved it. The flavour profiles are just wow. Spicy noodles had lots of star anise and delicious chillies but not overwhelming at all. I also liked the potatoes as I was not expecting that. The meat pie was SO tasty. I was not sure what to expect with it as I am used to the British idea of a meat pasty which can be bland but this was spiced just beautifully. A bit of a wait but it was totally worth it. Do you want super fast or do you want a foodie experience? You could tell it was fresh and made to order. If you want good quality exciting food, run dont walk!
Tried their Lamb Shank Nan and Danpanji big plate chicken today and the chicken is too spicy for me but their handmade noodle is good. Lamb is perfect and not spicy! Theres 15 min wait for each order.
The food was delicious and prepared fresh by a very friendly and pleasant chef/owner who also took my order at the counter. This was my first time trying Uyghur Cuisine, so the owner explained in detail about the contents of the food which helped a lot.
Looks He is doing great job ,food is clean, strong and yummy, my son loves to eat his lamp bread, we are always visit this restaurant once a week or once a month.
Really good food. Try the big chicken plate if you love spicy food and the samza which is like a nice snack food. The lamb shank was really tender and flavourful.
the dishes are made fresh, so definitely worth waiting for, everything is very delicious, the meat pie is a must try!
Food here remind me my home town Kashkar . Authentic, delicious and highly recommend friends who want to taste real Uyghur cuisine. This time we had Langman ( Uyghur name for noodle and dishes). Can not wait to come back next time .
First time trying, very impressed. Owner was friendly and the food was freshly prepared. I tried the spicy rice noodle, it was very spicy and damn good! Definitely going back to try different dishes!
We had to wait more than 40 mins for our order .
As a resident of tri-cities. We are lucky to have this restaurant in the Henderson mall so we can have decent Xinjiang Cuisine for a very affordable price - (in 2022) you can have an individual size Dapanji for $15...where at other place (Jiang Jiang on North road), you will need to spend $36 for the same dish When this place was first opened in 2018, I was pretty excited and a bit concerned how long it can last - this is Coquitlam, after all - where people just go Coquitlam grill for breakfast or dinner :) The food was decent as always. My favorite at this place is the Lamb Shank ($16) and the Dapanji ($15). Other reviewers complained about long waiting time and seemed unfriendly owner. Which are true....but this place survived the great lockdown of 2020-2021...I use to see a staff beside the owner but since 2021 it has been a one man shop. As for the owners attitude... what I can say is the owner sometimes let me felt cold as well, what ever you asked him, he responded with the simplest sentence possible - Yes, No, OK, they are sold out... maybe thats his personality, and some times make him sound very cool :) , like a military man. Remember this guy is doing EVERYTHING by himself... but when it comes to the quality of the food, I think it is pretty solid. He made sure he made good food for you...thats what matters. If you enjoy Xinjiang food, I encourage to try this place... also good luck to you - the owner, thanks for serving us good xinjiang food in Coquitlam.
Authentic deliciousness
Great food. Sit down restaurant quality, but note that the most of the food takes around 15 to 20 minutes.
If you want authentic Xinjiang food come here! Polo is a must try. A large lamb leg plus rice mixed with amazing seasoning, really enjoyed! Spicy rice noodle is great for someone like spicy food. Noodle is a little bit firm but it won t disappoint you. Thin crust bao is awesome, full of minced and seasoned lamb, juicy inside and crispy inside. Will definitely come again to try all the food on the menu.
Best Uyghur food I had in years!!
Very authentic and delicious Xinjiang food!
After indulging in Uyghur food in Central Asia, we were pleasantly surprised to discover Xinjiang food ten minutes drive from our home. Located in otherwise withering Henderson Place Mall, this place offers a very modest menu, but its a perfect amount of dishes for us. One visit is not enough to try everything we want, but we are coming back for sure. We tried Lagman, Somen Lagman and Samsa. All dishes were delicious. Please keep in mind that despite being located in the food court, they still need 15-20 minutes to prepare your food, which is excellent news to me as many dishes are made to order, so please plan your visit accordingly.
Awesome halal food. Recommend to everyone who love delicious Uyghur cuisine. Highly recommended
This is one of my absolute favourite restaurants in Coquitlam, if not my absolute favourite. The lovely owner makes your meal fresh when you order it and the care that goes into every aspect of the delicious, flavourful, unique food here is very apparent. Make sure to go before you get hungry because the food isn t fast, and the dish you want might be sold out long before closing. It s all worth it because you know that you re supporting people who make good, real food. Best lamb dishes ever!!
Owner is a very nice person, food was great!
One of the best authentic (mostly) Xinjiang Uyghur food in greater Vancouver. Just make sure you are not in a rush. It seems everything is made from scratch after you order them. Takes a long time during busy hours. Worth the wait.
The samsa is good, but the naan is a bit stale and the danpaji isnt very good, just some spice, and is quite hard to eat. If youd go, Id recommend the lamb samsa
I enjoyed the food
Bought some samsas - utterly delighted. Chopped meat (not some anonymous grey paste) and a lovely light pastry.
Very tasty
Came here with my sister, Saw the authentic samsa on YouTube-food ranger channel and searched on internet and the first thing appeared was this kashgar Uyghur cuisine. Ordered beef and lamb Samsa, they are very fast moving, when I said I need 4 lamb Samsa and only two were left, they especially made for me and my sister.. It tastes so good, authentic and very unique taste. Very fulfilling...I would have given more likes if it would have been possible on google reviews. Trust me try and you will never regret it...keep up the good work...shall definitely going to come back soon...
Excellent food.
Good food, friendly service, very helpful staff.
The price is really good and the taste is good. I highly recommend the roasted leg of lamb.
Love it. We ordered there no.1 polo and no. 2 dipanji. And two samsa. Everything was delicious
Nice place. I love Samsa. It was delicious.
The thin crust samsa is delicious!
Best foood in town !!!
I ordered the lamb shank nan. The soup is very flavorful and its very different from Western soups as theres no chunks of vegetables or meat. But still very good. The lamb is soooo soft. I would recommend if youre a fan of lamb. The only reason for four stars is because the whole dish felt a bit meaty and would be nice if there was some vegetable side dish. But good overall
Gonna go against the grain here. This is why -I ordered the #2 chicken and #12 naan 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. After paying, the owner tells me it s going to be a 25 min wait. This is not acceptable for a food court meal and he should ve told me before I placed the order. -the flavor is honestly underwhelming. I don t know if this is the way it s typically prepared but the chicken was dry, bony, and felt overcooked for me (see photo). I don t recommend it. The best part of the dish was actually the noodles -the naan was alright. A bit stale for me but I think it was authentic Edit: the owner s response is dismissive and disingenuous. Of course I was told about the wait AFTER paying. Why else would I write that? I would ve taken my business elsewhere! I didn t feel like it was right asking for a refund but since the food was also not up to expectations I felt the need to write a review.
Good food, especially the lamb.
Amazing quality food made fresh.....if youre looking for fast go to Mac, this is not what you would expect from a food court..mote like amazing home made meals made-to-order, the craftsmanship the care is amazing...we will be back
I went there on Sunday, it wasn t even that busy. The owner told me there will be a bit of a wait, I was expecting maybe 15 minutes. I went back after 15-20 minutes. The owner said it will be another 20 minutes because he has a backlog of orders. The owner really need to know when to stop taking orders so that there s a reasonable wait time. And he has to be transparent about the wait times, 50 minutes is not a bit of wait . This is a food court so people are expecting fast food with only little wait. He really doesn t know how to manage a restaurant and has extremely poor customer service. I recommend him getting an assistant to handle the front of house so that he can focus on cooking, and instead of running back and forth between kitchen and the front. I also notice he works very slow so perhaps work a bit faster because no one wants to wait an hour for a bowl of noodles no matter how good it is.
I asked which meals were vegetarian and he sighed heavily. I asked him what was in it and he sighed again and told me about the noodles. When I asked more specifcally he said, I dont know. So I resigned to eat elsewhere. Basically expressed how annoyed he was to turn me away.
I grew up on Uyghur food back home. There are unfortunately not a lot of Uyghur restaurants here. To this day I have never eaten at a Uyghur restaurant in metro Vancouver area that s more authentic than this one. Everything was so delicious and just the way I remembered! One bite of the samsa took me back to those childhood streets filled with Uyghur food vendors. You can clearly tell the noodles were hand pulled and so much better than machine made noodles. The portions were also decent for food court food. I m so glad that I ve found this hidden gem. I drove from Richmond to Coquitlam for the food. The wait however was a bit long because this is a one man restaurent, but it was totally worth it. I really hope the owner will do well and expand his restaurent some day.
Had a go at the Lamb Shank + Nan. One of the best in my opinion. They also have pulled noodles but you will have to wait. A small price to pay if you like your pulled noodles fresh.
It was our first time trying Uyghur food so we had little to no expectations. As it turns out Uyghur hand pulled noodles are nothing short of delicious! The meat pies were also very good; reminiscent of Chinese scallion cakes but with pieces of lamb and onion inside. We cant wait to go back to try the lamb polo and samsa now! FYI if youre expecting fast food then go elsewhere. Its a one man show and hes got a loyal base of customers that call in advance. Those people know whats up and well certainly be doing the same.
Omg this man (restaurant owner) doesn t know the taste and how to make food for the customers! We wanted to try this halal place from quite some time. We were so hungry when we went there it was a long wait for almost 40mins but we didn t say anything for that, food was so smelly and salty we just tasted and put all the food in trash, we paid 37 bucks for this non sense, would never come back cause it was the worst food ever
Freshly prepared... Very high quality for mall food court food. Highly recommend, worth visiting for. Had the Lamb noodles - so good. Will be back.
We came.to the mall on a whim and are in love- freshly hand pulled noodles, rich spice- outstanding
The all Halal lamb polo, meat pie and noodle dishes were delicious..... worth the wait.
Im impressed! A one man show dishing out flavorful fresh food. I had spicy lagman, thin samsa, and ququre. All items Id re-order in a heart beat.
This was an unexpected find, but it was a great one. Weve never had Uyghur food before, but now its a new favourite. The flavour and texture of the dishes we ordered were very unique and intriguing. The prices were average and we had to wait a while, but dont be discouraged, you get your moneys worth in flavour and in portion size. I highly recommend this small establishment if youre looking to expand your pallet.
Today is first time to try food ,looks really good on pic ,but I standing there order food .the guy he is very snobs he doesnt want talk to me ,when I order food is ready ,i eat was so salty and no noodles inside very tinny alittle nothing like pic ,Very bad wont be return.normally I dont wirte bad reviews, unless is really bad ,
This is a very delicious Xinjiang restaurant. I waited for more than half an hour and no food was served... Can you wait until it is ready before opening... It is really a bad experience to wait for so long... It is really bad to wait for so long in foodcourt Not recommended for those in a hurry. If you are not in a hurry then I 100% recommend this dish.
Well worth the wait. Man was committed to taking care of each prepared dish. Making pulled noodle from scratch in the lamb noodle dish. Great spice blend. My teenage son and daughter referred to him as STEEZ... saying the man carried on his work with great style and ease.
Delicious, but NOT fast FYI. Craved the mini lamb bun I tried before and also ordered the Somen with lamb. Spicy, tasty, chewy handmade noodles. Lamb bun was as delicious as before. It took about 15-20 minutes cooking time, on par with the estimate I received. Single person staffed.
it was really good. come support this local business. dapanji was really good!
Great food, friendly owner
Visited last month and ordered lamb shank polo and da panji.Food was good. I have to wait for sometime because he prepared da panji fresh. Owner was friendly. A good option for Halal Uyghur food.
Wow, delicious! Had the hand-pulled noodles Lagman...spicy...so tasty and so filling! Thank you for my first experience with Uyghur cuisine :)
I fell in love. I was looking for a long time to find a place which I can eat juicy food. Finally God excepted my pray and blessed me with Uyghur Cuisine. Their foods are extremely delicious and most important things they prepare foods freshly. After having our supper they offered us tea too. This is family business. I always support those small businesses. If you are looking for yummy food, hot service and kind owner don t think too much to go there.
This place is too good! The food tastes delicious and the owner is super nice. Samsa is the my favourite, and all the items are high quality and tasty.
A lazy person like me never leave comments unless they have my heart. The only place you can get a real in canada.
This place is an absolute gem in the middle of a food court in Coquitlam. Authentic, flavourful, huge portions that just taste homemade. Noodles tasted so freshly made, and the samsas were spiced perfectly. I will absolutely be returning.
Wonderful!
Very good food and nice polite owner.
Very tasty Samsa. We have tried their other dishes too and are excellent too.
Amazing food! Owner very friendly and explained me the dishes. Loved the samsa and the lamb noodles so delicious i recommended it to friends and family
Beef samsa!! Yum yum yum !
Fantastic food and big portions. Their meat pies are excellent.
Xinjiang specialty snacks with strong mutton flavor
Their food is excellent and so delicious! My favourate resturant in Coquitlam!
Pleasantly surprised at the homemade noodles and the great tasting food here. Daipanji was great. Spice level was just right
Hidden Halal food gem! Excellent flavor.
One of the best foods Ive ever had. I still come here time to time.
My first time trying Uyghur Cuisine, this place is amazing!
Great food and service
Amazing portion of lamb. Served with rice and small salad. Hidden gem inside henderson food court.
The food here is incredible!
absolutely delicious. I really like the thin crusted samsa and the meat pie. We live 30-60 mins drive away but we will definitely come back for the food again and again. Next time we are hoping to try the lamb with rice & somen, they look really good & foods are prepared fresh so you might expect some waiting time, but it is worth it
Amazing food, always fresh, good service and portions are massive! Highly recommend
Amazing food, spicy but not too much! Large portions!
This is my first time trying Uyghur Cuisine. May need to wait a while here, not necessarily fast food (in fact I waited about 45 minutes for my order). But it is authentic and tasty! I ordered: #2 Dapanji (Spicy Chicken with wide noodles) $12.90 -Unique spices, star anise and coriander seeds, and cinnamon -Chicken has some bone -red/green peppers, potatoes -Noodles are really tasty because they soak up the sauce in the bottom #7 Thin Crust Samsa (Lamb) $3.00 -Tasty little snack, not a lot of sauce inside but definitely worth the $3.
So delicious... I can t wait to go back...
A taste of ancient Silk Road
Can t believe I found this place, super good! They also have Xinjiang delicacies baked buns, haha. No one in Metro Vancouver can eat baked buns. Its really delicious
Delicious!!
Very good, very pure Xinjiang food
Best chochora ever!
It s exactly Authentic real Uyghur Restaurant ,, very nice service , very clean , very delicious . Highly recommend
I have only been there once to try a Samsa but found it to be delicious. On top of that, the owner is a wonderful man who allowed me to pay less than owed because I had no change. When I gave him a small tip and then came back he tried to give me my pop for free. I look foward to going back to try their braised lamb shank on rice ($13) or their hand pulled noodles....or both...
Best Uyghur food ever!!!!!
Great food! Especially the noodles!
The most authentic Xinjiang food in Vancouver. Fortunately, it is right next to my home, so I can come here often~ feel so lucky to have the most authentic Kashgar (Xin Jiang region) food in Coquitlam, even better that its close to where I live. Will definitely come back many many times.
It is highly recommended to order the three treasures every time: large plate chicken (with noodles), rice noodles and baked buns (similar to curry puffs but without curry powder)
You will be fall in love with these yummy food
I am sure you want to give 5 for this restaurant as well. Try it first
One of my favourite restaurant!
Noodle is good
Yum
Excellent food, cooked fresh and very tasty
tasty
Probably one of the worst websites Ive ever seen for a restaurant. One page, no menu, no address, nothing but a little blurb in broken English & a few photos. Cant recommend.
One of the best ramen I ve ever had in Vancouver
Too slow . wait 50 minutes for a dish
Very tasty, especially if you like it a bit spicy.
I havent been to this restaurant yet at Henderson Mall , I did pass by the restaurant and the food looks good
Very delicious food with affordable prices. Highly recommend it this place.
