A hidden surprise gem! Came in without any expectations but very pleasantly impressed with the interior. The food was amazing! Everything was in balanced. Truffle Risotto was well cooked with hint of balsamic flavoured mushrooms. Benedict was creamy and soft. Seafood linguine was tastefully fusiony spicy. And the cruffles… what a fine and delicious to finish off a meal. And yes… all the special coffees were good! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone. The restaurant is also family friendly- they have special kids menu.
A gorgeous mid-century-style interior and great food. Honestly, I was surprised to find a brunch spot like this in Coquitlam. It’s not too busy. I enjoyed my meal without rushing. Highly recommended for a date spot. I would love to come back and recommend this place to anyone I know.
Loved this place, food was very well prepared and served. The staff were nice, polite and helpful. The place itself is nicely decorated and a appropriate selection of music tracks was playing which made the experience even better. Totally recommended!
If you love bennies, this is your spot! Spacious with lots of seating and good variety of menu items so there’s something for everyone, including vegetarian & gluten-free options. Even though brunch is served all day, some other items aren't available until after 5pm. The coffee was disappointing. Their $4 coffee was in a cup that held less than 6 oz. The flat white was served in a glass without a handle?! & way too creamy (more like a latte). The "Sunset mimosa" ($12) we ordered was delicious but we suspect we were served their zero proof mocktail instead the "Sunrise Mimosa" (for the same price) as there was a canned cherry on the bottom. The Espresso martini ($14) was too sweet & creamy, opt for the Carajillo instead if you want more coffee flavor. Overall, we prefer Pur & Simple for brunch & beverages.
I've visited this restaurant several times and have enjoyed the wonderful ambiance, particularly the patio with its beautiful views. The food is delicious and well-portioned. However, the service quality varies. While most of the staff are courteous, one server was not very friendly and handled things carelessly. With more consistent service, this place could be exceptional.
I’m genuinely surprised this fantastic place isn’t packed with people. It feels like sitting at a bistro in Paris, with its beautiful patio and ample space. Unlike other popular brunch spots nearby, you don’t have to overhear conversations from the next table, thanks to the generous spacing between tables. The food was delicious, but I wish the coffee were stronger—it was a bit too weak for my taste. Even the restrooms are stylish! I’ll definitely be visiting again in the near future.
It has a nice atmosphere, and is very spacious inside and has outdoor seating with a beautiful view! I went there with 5 adults and 2 kids under 3, it was accommodating for our kids and they have a kids menu and a high chair. I ordered the tomato seafood pasta, it was delicious! And my husband ordered the salmon eggs Benedict, also very yummy! I especially liked the spices they used! The staff was also kind and very quick to help! For example, my child spilled his water, and they cleaned it up for us right away!
Dine-in again in August, new menu. Taste is good as usual. Still like it. Dine-in twice within one week. Very interesting menu. Love their vibes. Service is a bit on the slow side but perfect for me to make up my mind on those interesting dishes. Every dish is a feast for the senses, combining color, aroma, and flavor perfectly. Will definitely return for more. 😋😋😋
I ordered tomato seafood pasta and taco for todays dinner because I went there a week ago those were really good but taste different and not really good as before, so todays chef makes me really disappointed. If the chef changed, better make them back again. And also the ice cream on the croffle was too much. Service was really good. I hope you guys take this as a feedback cuz between foods and service have big quality differences. I hope this feedback make the restaurant better.
I love the hot chocolate here. It s always so fluffy and yummy. The tornado omurice and fried chicken was delicious! It s so aesthetic inside, super pretty. My regular spot for lunch dates.
A bit over the price but it was delicious. I would definitely go back :)
Delicious food at a fair price point and good portion size. When we went for dinner on a Saturday night, there was 1 person hosting, serving, and making drinks. Miraculously he managed amazingly, however on a busier night I dont know how one person would manage a whole restaurant. Management should consider having at least 2 people on the floor for the sake of their employees and a faster service!!
Egg bless awesone.
Quaint restaurant with some very nice dishes. There are plenty of breakfast options and I personally enjoyed the eggs Benedict the most, of which they had several varieties. Slightly on the pricier side but the quality is worth it. Their croffles (essentially croissant waffles, though I found it was just a fluffy waffle with toppings) were excellent as well, with plenty of calories. Parking: Parking lot all around. Additional lower parking lot with an elevator.
The desserts are a must!! Amazing service, great food, and super aesthetic place. I would highly recommend.
Service could be a little better. I was not asked once if my meal was right or given a refill of water. They took my order and dropped off my meal, and no staff was around to hand my bill, and it wasnt even busy at all. Nice interior and the food was decent. Maybe Ill give it another try after the new year.
The service is definitely lacking. The food is good nothing overly special but really small portions. Parking is also terrible.
Very good quality and tasty. Definitely will come back
potato too large, no flavour Salad too normal Sausage I can find in superstore Bacon is so crispy that it just breaks when my fork touch it Bread is hard like rock. I m confused when all those foods are combined together my first time and my last time
Cute restaurant tucked away in a Coquitlam strip mall. Food was delicious! We tried the fried chicken croffle (would definitely order again!), shakshuka, and omurice. For drinks, the lavender lattre was my favourite. Great service, delicious food, and cute vibes all around. Also plenty of parking, which is always a bonus. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant seating is fine but washroom access might be a bit tight.
I had dinner reservations for Wednesday evening at 7:30 and when we arrived there was 3 tables and it took our server 10-15 minutes to come and get our drink order, which seemed to be a long time, so we ordered our food at the same time. The food was poor quality and mediocre at best. Last call was 8:20 and we were the last table there and they turned the music off and brought us our bill while we were still eating. Ive never felt more unwelcome and will not go back. If youre open till 9, stay open till 9, dont rush us out and make us feel uncomfortable.
On and Off is a brunch spot that truly shines. The atmosphere is beautiful, with stunning decor and an aesthetic that s both cozy and elegant. The service was impeccable water was always topped up, and the staff checked in regularly without being overbearing. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and welcoming. The food was outstanding. The chicken benedict was perfectly cooked, and the salmon benedict was fresh and flavorful. Portion sizes were spot on filling but not overwhelming. A wonderful spot for brunch I ll definitely be back!
New found brunch place. Chic ambiance. Great food, good service.
I went on a weekday. I love this place. Clean, great service, and good portion. Very modern restaurant. Great for a coffee, lunch, or dinner date
Roomy and pleasant vibe. But, the pasta was not up to my standard. Vongole dish is very watery and soupy making the dish almost like a bowl of seafood noodle soup. If I were the owner, Id double check the pasta quality with the cook. ps. A poached egg in shakshuka had too much broken shell in it, but the restaurant took zero action to remediate the customer experience.
Great food that looks and tastes great. It is nice inside with great staff. I would try it, but their menu may change frequently. Parking: Parking is hard to find, since there is a gym nearby. You may need to loop around to find parking or go outside the parking lot to find street parking.
Very unassuming on the outside, but trendy and calming on the inside. The food is fantastic, nicely presented and just the right balance of flavours with each item on your plate. The service was great, friendly and, attentive and proactive. Highly recommended.
The best Benedict I ve ever had in my life! I m very surprised the quality and taste! We will definitely come back for more.
Korean Cafe with a cosy decoration and a nice patio
Discovered this place recommended from my friend, and we are so glad we came! My partner ordered a pulled pork benny, I ordered the seafood omelette. We were so impressed with the quality of the Benedict, the eggs were so perky and perfectly cooked, the green onions were very finely chopped. The French omelette was really delicious and well made, a challenging dish to make, you can tell the chefs are very highly trained. We ordered a tiramisu coffee to share, really glad we ordered one to share because it was very decadent, but a delicious way to end off our brunch date! Such a beautiful space as well, with a sun deck great for summer. The vibes are classy and retro, the washroom was spotless. Highly recommend this brunch place, it is way better than any of the most popular places in downtown Vancouver
Our group enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was a bit slow. Nice ambiance. Plenty of parking.
This was my first visit to On and Off, and I can already see it becoming one of my go-to spots for a solid brunch in Coquitlam. The croffles were fresh, with the perfect balance of sweetness. I tried the soy sauce chicken eggs Benedict, and both were delicious - extra points for the amount of hollandaise sauce they give The interior is inviting and it s a great spot to bring friends. A major plus is the ample space, which made it easy to bring my baby in a stroller a family-friendly touch I really appreciated. I ll definitely be back for the great food and welcoming atmosphere.
Discovered this place by accident. We were hungry so we decided to drop in. The food was delicious! I had the portobello Benedict, my husband had the guacamole and salmon Benedict. We were very satisfied with the quality of the food, the price, the service, and the atmosphere. We will return to try some more menu items. Food
Great place for amazing food with reasonable prices! The ambience was so soothing and the servers were very friendly. The food was delicious!
Would recommend for brunch.
Food was great. Will probably go back if Im in that neighborhood
Cute place, would come again
Great Food, Great views and amazing service
My family and I have been coming here for a long time as its been one of our favorite brunch places. After our recent visit we are disappointed with the change of menu and food quality. We were told that there was a change in management. Many of the great things from the pervious menu are no longer part of what is being offered. We had ordered the Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was very sweet. Previously the Benedict was made with a homemade biscuit and after our meal today the food felt very average. Service is still good but after this change we are not enticed to come back anytime soon.
We went here today, everything was awesome and I do recommend here to everyone.
Great view, delicious food Kid-friendliness: Kids chairs, food options for kids Food : 5/5 |
Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable price and my kids enjoyed everything Our male server was really attentive and friendly. I will definitely visit again to try other dishes. Food : 5/5
So this place has a very interesting vibe but the music choice needs fine tuning and the menu is pricey for its standard. In such an off location, the food has to be a draw for pricing and quality, but my experience has been nondescript. I think the owner should be trying the food out to tweak the menu for better outcome. My calamari was over fried and I could make better potatoes with the benny. The hollandaise sauce was not buttery and I wondered what was used to make it? Hopefully not a powdered version
The menu was interesting but the guacamole Benedict was not good. The hollandaise sauce was extremely underwhelming. I liked the salad that came with it. The croffle and pasta were good, I should have gotten that instead. Loved the atmosphere the view and the decor. Unfortunately, the servers here have the worst attitude. The girl serving us looked like she was annoyed we were taking up her time lol. No one even came back once to check on us. Maybe they all had a fight or something. I wonder if the owners know or even care.
Beautiful ambiance. Friendly servers with amazing breakfast dishes. I havent tried lunch yet, but I dont think I would be disappointed. Highly recommended.
I love coming to On and Off not only due to the delicious food but also because of the staff - everyone is so friendly and accommodating! We got the Soy Chicken Eggs Benny and the Toast and it was a 20/10! Will definitely be returning :)
Food and atmosphere here is excellent!
The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was incredible, we really enjoyed our visit, and for sure, well come back!!!
yum
Fairly certain these guys are paying/offering free meals for good reviews at the moment. Sad. The only way to get reviews should be to actually EARN it. Like the previous management. As many regulars have pointed out, this is not the same on and off that everyone used to love and enjoy. New management has taken over and redone the menu. The problem is the food isnt executed well anymore. This places needs a lot of work to catch up to what it once was. The prices they are charging are ridiculous given the diner standard of food theyre serving. They should have lowered their prices while they were experimenting because $20+ for what theyre serving is ridiculous.
The pasta was excellent and delicious. The servers were friendly and kind. Dining on the beautiful patio was a wonderful experience with a great atmosphere. Its definitely a place I want to visit again and a hidden gem in Coquitlam austin Food
All the dishes were excellent, especially the Benedict, which was outstanding. The new menu is definitely worth trying and makes me want to visit again. The patio is superb!!.
Chill experience
We used to love this restaurant since it opened, but our recent brunch visit after the change in ownership was a huge disappointment. The menu has become very mediocre. The waitress recommended a guacamole smoked salmon Benedict, and we also ordered a Black Forest ham Benedict. Unfortunately, the hollandaise sauce was not fresh, and the smoked salmon tasted fishy. We ordered tea and had to repeatedly ask the waitress to refill the water since it wasn t served in a teapot. The service was also subpar. We had to request basic things like extra napkins and pepper multiple times because the waitress kept forgetting. It s a shame because this used to be one of our favorite places, but we won t be coming back.
Came here for the first time and the servers were super friendly and nice. We didn t have to wait for long until we got our table. They even placed us outside on the patio, and it was amazing!
I always come here to refresh and ventilate. Their interior is clean and classy, not to mention about their food. Such a pleasant brunch place
Food is so good
Cute little croissant sandwiches are so yummy Dietary restrictions: N/a Parking: N/a
This place is so welcoming and has a very good ambience. Vegetarian options: Soy chicken Food : 5/5 |
Best Shakshuka! It was perfect combination of fresh ingredients with a gently poached egg. I enjoyed it so much. Staffs are supportive and friendly. I love their cozy vibe with jazz music. I definitely come back to try other menu.
Its really delicious. The interior is pretty and the staff is all nice. I stopped by during my trip, and the atmosphere of the store was so pretty and the food was really delicious :) All the staff were friendly, and it was a heart-warming time! If you want unique food here during your trip, be sure to stop by :)
I was blown away by the service and quality of the food. The ambiance was great and the patio view oh my Gawd! Don t walk RUN TO THIS PLACE. Food
Very good atmosphere, food is delicious. My to-go place for lunch.
Wow! I m hooked! This hidden gem is one in a million! The atmosphere is amazingly beautiful, spacious, and clean (wonderful atmospheric music choice). They have great service, we were greeted at the door the moment we entered. Last but not least, their food is incredible. So fresh and tasty!
Fantastic food and great atmosphere
food is so good. one of my fav brunch spots
I came to On and Off for the first time today and the atmosphere was beautiful! I was greeted upon arrival and seated on the patio at my request. I ordered the On and Off mimosa as well as the fruit croffle. The service was amazing - Our server Liam was prompt and ensured that everything was to my liking :) I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner with beautiful inside and outside views!
My second time here, you can never go wrong. Atmosphere was really nice slow music. Liam was very lovely made sure me and my friend were comfortable. The food was amazing. I wish i could eat everything on the menu at once
Korean-style western restaurant, the food is ordinary, the seat design is strange, all sticking to the wall. The music was so loud that it was impossible to enjoy a meal with friends and family. This restaurant was CLOSED at 9pm starting on August, 2024.
Always great food & service whenever we come for brunch.
The food tastes good and the atmosphere is great! The service is good, its a great place to come with kids, and its a great place to have a gathering with friends.
The ambiance and the food are so aesthetic!
Everything was very delicious! I highly recommend sitting on the patio, it is such a nice space.
I had the cheddar cheese and bacon Benedict and it was so good! Prices and food were phenomenal and the patio has a beautiful view with a nice ambience! Had a wonderful time with my girlfriends and enjoyed the design and atmosphere!
Great service and food quality. I ordered a delicious vegetable benedict.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and peaceful setting for all occasions!
Great to see an eatery in this part of Coquitlam with a view an great vibe. Food was good, service was good. Thank you..
I didnt expect this brunch place to have such an elegant interior. The food was also neatly prepared and delicious. The plating of the food was enough to be enjoyed with the eyes alone. Next time, Ill make sure to sit on the terrace with the open view to enjoy my meal.
The food is good. The portion is big which offset the high price:)
10/10 food and drinks:) good portions and seasoning, great atmosphere for a date

The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that you feel welcome and well taken care of throughout your visit. On & Off Kitchen + Bar is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great meal in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere!
Definitely will come back to check out the breakfast options.
amazing atmosphere and the food is delicious.
We visited the restaurant today, I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite many empty tables, we were seated at a small one near the kitchen with a one-hour limit, which felt unnecessary. The servers behavior seemed rude, and there was an uncomfortable, possibly racist undertone. We chose to leave, and the servers smirk added to our discomfort.
The new menu is much worse than the previous one. Im so disappointed, this was my favorite breakfast place. Please return the previous menu. The main disappointing things: 1. Bananadict with pork has been removed from the menu. 2. The new bun in benedicts is like tasteless rusk. The last bun was very soft and juicy, which had a unique taste. 3. They didnt offer me ketchup for potatoes. 4. They didnt offer me any more potatoes. We waited ~50 minutes to get our order.
Please please bring back the old menu! This place quickly became my favorite spot for breakfast. When I visited today it was a huge let down! The new Benedict s are very weak, bread is not great and the new hollandaise sauce is not nearly as good as the old. Super disappointed, the old menus was great!
REVIEW BASED ON NEW MANAGEMENT AS OF JULY 3, 2024. We used to love coming to on and off, consistent delicious food that was just a cut above regular brunch. However, after their new management takeover as of July 3, they have gone way downhill. The staff barely look like they know what theyre doing. I saw them come out with food and take it to multiple tables incorrectly only to bring it back to the kitchen. The food also wasnt coming out to tables all at once, timing was poor. Everything was completely disorganized, tables are dirty and worst of all, the quality of food is worse. It used to be a great spot with premium ingredients and something better than your average brunch spot, my fave was the apple brie croissant which they still carry but the flavours have changed, even the side salad was underwhelming. Matcha latte lacked matcha and tasted diluted. Sadly with the change in management we will not be coming back.
After ordering, we waited 50 min for our food. My friend ordered an eggs benedict but as she cannot have dairy (it was cream) in the hollandaise sauce they were going to surcharge her to sub cheddar instead. When our food arrived my cloud egg croissant sandwich was cold and the croissant was hard to cut or eat as it was rubbery. My friend s dish, the cheddar on top of cold egg had probably been sitting out before it was served to her that it coagulated and was cold. The English muffin that it was served on was rubbery. As for the service, it was attentive at first when receiving our drinks (very good oat latte, filling hot water for my Earl Grey tea) but thereafter no one came by to ask how our food was. We sat another 20-30 min after finishing our meals before anyone came by to take our plates away (I had to ask) or when we needed to pay in which we had to ask again. Atmosphere was very nice albeit the loud music that came on suddenly at noon after the light ambient music; it made conversation very difficult. We asked for volume to be turned down and it was marginally better. Washrooms were clean & bright. Floors around our table was very greasy and slippery. If I could give no stars for food I would have. There will not be a repeat visit for lunch service.
Beautifully designed space. Good food. Good service. Good coffee
A really nice and relaxing spot for breakfast, the staff is very friendly, they have a beautiful patio and delicious mimosas.
Love the new brunch options! The curry vegetable benedict is such a unique idea and its flavours were perfect - best eggs benedict I ve had in a long time.
The price is still expensive, but the ingredients are all frozen from Costco. The chicken was burnt and the onion was tough because the skin was not cleaned to save ingredients. The chicken alfredo pasta wasnt seasoned at all, so I told the server and he gave me salt separately, saying he usually doesnt add salt, but he wasnt very responsive. I went there because it was under new ownership, but I dont think Ill go again.
Very disappointed! Cold, coagulated, unattractive food. Staff does not know what to do, much expensive for the standard provided. Shame about the prices and some of the food. Food used to be great with good quality. but this restaurant going downhill! Sad!
This restaurant is my new favourite! My risotto was superb. The beet salad was really fresh. It was cozy and comfortable vibe. I love here and definitely come back
We are regulars but the place went downhill. Food was always exceptional before. Menu change bad new chef hates the job !!! Menu got so small not worth your time going down!! English muffins cold like frozen and dry!! Fried chicken is burnt tasteless!! No vegetarian option on menu. A place that once s had the best Bennys in Tri cities is now a place to avoid for food !! Very disappointed in the place !! Service: Ordered. They sent us the wrong order. Waited for our order. Then they sent it with an item missing. Put me in a rubbish mood. Terrible service. We will not return.
One of my fav brunch places in the tri cities!!! Interior of the restaurant is super aesthetic and the food is delicious been here many times and i always have a good experience
It was my second time visiting On & Off Kitchen, and I must say, it met my expectations once again. The ambiance and atmosphere were truly delightful, creating a pleasant dining experience. The servers were exceptionally attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed and checking in on us regularly. We ordered a few cocktails to share, and each was uniquely delicious. We ordered the hibiscus margarita, carajillo, and the sunset mimosa. Our group of three decided to order the shakshuka, truffle fries, seafood pasta, and the apple and brie croissant sandwich. Each dish was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. However, I did notice that the halloumi in the shakshuka was slightly on the salty side. Despite this minor observation, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch meal.
One of the best brunch places to go to! Great service and amazing food. The interiors are well designed, modern and serene. Beautiful view from the patio as well. Highly recommend!
Great service, great food and great view - Sunset mimosa - Iced mocha - Truffle mushroom risotto - Seafood pasta - Crispy fried calamari
Such an aesthetic restaurant! There s a nice comfortable breeze and makes it feel like I ve escaped the city for a moment. Staff are super attentive and portions are generous for the price point! Food
I highly recommend trying this place out! The food and portions are great for the price! Love the Fried Chicken Benedict! I enjoyed my meal and the overall atmosphere is so relaxing. Can t wait to come back!
came after they switched management, love the new menu items! big and spacious too
Good food amazing atmosphere must try the calamari very crunchy
Great food, location and service! The menu changes every so often and its nice to taste the kitchens new updates!
Love the interior design and the food!!
It s very good here. The waiter is very nice. The meal is very good. I want to come with my friends next time
Warm atmosphere, wonderful attentive service and excellent food. I will definitely visit again
Very nice atmosphere, and employees are very helpful and kind!
Very nice service with an amazing ambiance
Came here for breakfast, I had the traditional breakfast with 2 eggs, etc. The breakfast potatoes and brioche toast were amazing! The sausage and bacon were pretty run of the mill. The service was better than most places. They always made sure my water was topped up. I would definitely like to come back and try a lunch item at some point. I liked the interior design. It felt a little upscale, and they were playing nice dining room music, and it wasnt blasting.
Had brunch with the family. Friendly service and the food was great.
Heard from friends it s a great place, will find out soon!
Found this spot on Instagram and decided to try be cause the interior was very cute. Service was amazing and food was great. Their matcha latte had a very strong matcha flavour.
Hidden gem! Great experience overall, would recommend to anyone visiting Coquitlam
Very good place with very delicious food. I really miss the Bourbon BBQ pull pork which got removed from the menu, but it doesn t change the fact this place is awesome. Ordered on and off breakfast plate and seafood tomato pasta.
Love the food and view!!
Delicious food and great ambience. Nice, large space with a beautiful patio and view!
The guacamole and smoked salmon benedict was delicious. Great views with outdoor seating too.
Service here is amazing! loved being seated in the patio to enjoy some delicious fresh ingredient dishes we got the fried soy chicken benny, shakshuka & truffle fries to share. The benny s used to come with the most flakiest biscuit base but looks like they ve changed the base to an English muffin other than that food was delicious!
Hidden gem with interesting menu. Food quality is above average and reasonable prices. Relaxing decor and jazz music playlist. Server very attentive.
Delicious food & drinks! The ambiance is lovely!
On & off kitchen was our favorite weekend brunch spot, but since new management took over, the quality of the food has dropped significantly. The taste of shakshuka has changed and the portion is so small now. The eggs Benedicts were very delicious before, but the menu changed to a menu made with only inexpensive ingredients. Although the staff was friendly, the table sign asking people to write dishonest reviews during the review event didnt look that good. Very disappointed.
The food is delicious and the store has a nice atmosphere and is spacious! Great for family gatherings too! The ice cream & brownie that comes out at the end is big and comes with fruit, so its delicious! Kid-friendliness: A baby chair is also provided.
I visited for a family birthday party, and my order was fried calamari and mushroom risotto. The fried calamari is excellent with its crispy texture and sweet sauce, while the soft mushroom risotto has a harmonious savory flavor and creamy sauce. The atmosphere is nice and the service is very friendly, making it a great place to visit with family or friends.
Really good eggs benedict w/ salmon + guacamole. Great blend of spices and great sauce. Kid-friendliness: They had is in a spot with large bench seats with lots of space - had high chairs as well.
Very nice over all. Very large and spacious on the inside. Very nice patio. Great brunch. This place also has a REALLY good cup of coffee.
The On & Off Toast does NOT look like the photos, they have completely changed the dish after new management took over. The dish is now just three slices of cold brioche bread stacked on top of each other with caramel sauce spread on each slice. They did not even bother to butter/toast the bread, let alone making it French toast style. For a $17 dish, they are very stingy on the fruit too - only 6-7 blueberries in total and 1 small strawberry cut into 4 pieces. The ends of the banana were also mushy and brown. If you enjoy cold and dry white bread with flavour-lacking sauce, I highly recommend you order this. The service was good for the most part, but the servers do not communicate with each other. We noticed that different servers asked us the same question multiple times throughout the meal. One example at the end of our meal: we let our server know that we did not want our waters refilled as we were leaving soon. During the 10 minute duration after that, 3 different servers asked us if we wanted our water refilled.
Very cute bar and food is awesome as well, always come with my beautiful friend.
This is my 3rd time visit here so far. The food and service always meet my expectation whenever i visit here. I tried my alfredo pasta at this time and love it! It is my best pasta now. Staffs are friendly. I am happy to find this cozy place in Coquitlam!! Food
Had the omurice and shakshouka! Both were extremely delicious. Sat on the patio and loved the atmosphere!
I adore this place sooo much! I actually am mentally planning my next visits now!
What a lovely spot! Great menu, great a service and a beautiful space inside.
Friendly staff and very clean environment with a great interior! Highly reccomend for anyone looking for a cute brunch place
great food & staff!
The food is fresh and very delicious! Two of us ate pasta, Benedict, and salad, and we were full. The atmosphere of the store is also pleasant and good
It was a happy lunch as I could taste the pecans in the seafood pasta salad made with fresh ingredients in a spacious and sophisticated interior, as if they were delicately cooked. It was better because it was a healthy meal with sufficient portions.
I was happy to find a really good brunch place that had a Korean feel to it... but its been a while since Ive been here and everything has changed. The menu has all changed and the taste and food quality... .ha .. All the staff who were sensible and kind disappeared, so I asked the server later... and he said that the owner had changed two weeks ago and all the people working in the kitchen had also changed... Just in case, if you like this place like us, please take note. Im leaving a review.. As of today... Goodbye here. Im saying goodbye to one of my favorite brunch places.. Goodbye..
The service was terrible.
I looked around for a while to see if my group had arrived first, but the employees were just talking among themselves. There was no guidance. I felt embarrassed so I went outside to check on the groups car and then came back in and looked around, but no one paid any attention. Through a phone call, I finally found out that the group was waiting inside out of sight. I decided on the menu and tried to order, but no one came. They didnt seem to care because it wasnt in the view from the counter. Since we didnt have much time, we went to the counter and ordered directly. The food came out really quickly. It feels like about 5 minutes? The food tastes average and the price is expensive. I dont really care about the taste of the food, but I prefer places where the staff is friendly even if it doesnt taste good. Conclusion: Beautiful atmosphere. Moderately ordinary taste. Service is not so good When I went there around opening time, most people were friendly...
Very nice food and will try brunch next time. Pouch pear with melted cheese topped with whisky sauce is a surprise! Vegetarian options: All courses provides vegetarian options
The service was polite but not detailed and supportive as expected for the pricing of the menu. Many service details were missed. The risotto was 9/10 for flavor, sablefish - fish was good but the accompaniments were not good, and not good value at 46$. Drinks were great although took about 20 minutes at times to arrive after ordering. Potatoes were delicious. Pasta was great. Hope they can work on service as its a beautiful space and they are very polite but need to work on the details and organization.
My favourite brunch place. So much salmon on the bennys.
Such a great little place, a hidden gem, the food was delicious, came here to celebrate our 8 year anniversary and my partner did a great job at finding this place. He had the lamb and I had the scallop and crab risotto, for apples we did the mushroom with the tempura batter and the truffle fries. Highly recommend all these dishes, we will come back and try the mussels, and the brie. Nice atmosphere and wine selection (and on Thursdays is 50% off)
This is a hidden restaurant that serves really good food. I get to try something new on the menu every time I visit and all of the food is great.
The food and service here is amazing. A hidden gem in Coquitlam.
Worst service I ve ever received, if you look at all my reviews I usually don t say anything when I have bad service, but I ve also never been treated so poorly before. The host was so rude to us, we called ahead of time and asked if we could reserve a table and they had said no, at this time it s walk in only. So taking our chances we went, we were okay with not getting a table as we didn t get a reservation. The host however, was so incredibly rude to us from the start, she said you cant just come in and walk in and have a table, people reserve 3 weeks in advance for this place we told her that s completely fine, if there was a wait time and she literally scoffed, and was so rude for no reason, I just don t get why we got treated so poorly right away. We were okay not getting a table at this establishment, but to be treated the way we were is not acceptable. Talked to the manager and seemed like she also did not care.
It s a very beautiful restaurant. I want there to try the brunch i was amazing the Tiramisu Croffle and the Truffle Omelette wass super yummy. We tried also the Strawberry Tiramisu Toast is not my favourite for me but my sister like it all the in the photo + 2 coffee for 60$
Absolutely delicious! The service is at a slower pace, so if you re looking for chain restaurant service that pushes out meals as fast as possible this isn t your place. If you want to sit and enjoy the food and the atmosphere this is your place! Drinks are great as well.
The brunch menus are really good. (Second visit for brunch only) Both of them are completely full. The downside is that the parking lot can get full.
The restaurant is very spacious and very nicely decorated. The service was very good and they were attentive as well. The food was really good. I would definitely come back. I had the sunset mimosa, very good. Who doesnt love a good mimosa. We also tried the truffle fries, Hokkaido Scallop & Crab Risotto, and the Shio Koji-aged Flank Steak.
Personally, I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant because it was spacious and modern, and the service was also very good.
Usually love going here, food is always good! super unfortunate that our service was pretty unpleasant, she had a horrible attitude and I ve never been to a breakfast place with someone so rude. I m usually not one to make a review but i felt inclined to say something in hopes this goes to owner or manager to maybe get someone different serving guests. We went on may 2nd at 1:30pm and our server never said welcome, I don t think she smiled once and when we ask what fruit would be on the fruit bowl she just said whatever the kitchen has right now when we clearly wanted to know exactly what was in it. She actual made the experience there worst and unpleasant, which I feel like isn t the goal of a server. I would go back but hoping someone more pleasant would be serving us.
This was by far the worst service Ive ever experienced. The hosts attitude towards us was shockingly rude. Would not recommend to anyone who would like an enjoyable experience.
Such a gem! My husband and I had a great time. We had such a hard time picking what to eat because there were so many interesting options we wanted to try. The flavour combinations and menu choices made the foodie in me so excited. The beer battered mushrooms were so incredible! My husband got the flank steak and only wished it was a little bigger. But thats literally our only critique. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food were all fantastic. We cant wait to come back for brunch and when the patio opens up in the summer.
Wonderful
Booked a table for a family of 3 for a brunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was our first time there, though we had a lovely meal. Service was great, friendly and professional. Food was yummy. we would recommend this restaurant and of course, we would go back to try different dishes
We went here for mothers day dinner. We arrived near the open time as we have a young toddler with us. The food and drinks were very good. But the service was almost to the point of being not present. The server did the minimum while serving us. We did not get offered refills of water or ever an offer for a second drink. It took the servers forever to get to our table and when we got there there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. But what I noticed was the other servers inside the restaurant were way more attentive and provided much better service to the table even next to us. Im not really sure if we would try this place again, but since the food was good maybe we will try it again. I overheard the server talking. I think our server was actually the manager. Thats what puts me in a conundrum of returning
This place looks like a high-end restaurant with nice decor. However, we were seated with a view of the closed patio containing dead plants and table storage. The windows were dirty. There was a dusty storage table beside us. They were out of stock on the first 2 beers I selected off the menu. The beer that I ordered was not very cold. The food was good, but a dining experience is not just about the food. If it was, I would just order takeout.
Planning to be back for the duck confit. Great views & very classy interiors. Good vegetarian options, too. Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and good music.
Ive been to on and off several times now. Its my go to spot for solid brunch. Their croffles are fresh and sweet. I got fried chicken eggs Benedict this time, and they were pretty good. Hit the spot. Overall, their presentation on the food has always been great. The quality of the food is always great as well. However, service has been inconsistent. Most times they were fine, but once I had to approach the host to get the attention of my server. Even then, our drink came late so we had to cancel something off our order. Either way. The restaurant looks nice inside so it is a good restaurant to bring friends to. Oh ya. Big plus is that the restaurant has lots of space to bring my baby in a stroller. I will be back because the food is consistent and is family friendly. Warning. Parking can be challenging especially on the weekends... cant find a spot? Park at save on and walk over. Kid-friendliness: Has high chairs and a lot of space for strollers
May 10th Friday we were expecting to have pasta but menu got change, only brunch. Then we ordered five plates of egg Benedict and five cups of coffee. We asked a server for refilling our coffees but experienced asking us to refill ourselves coffees by passing around a kettle bottle, abit heavy but still carrying. She stood by me and not serving and waiting for the kettle bottle back. It was my very first time hearing requesting by a waiter and serving ourselves. Ok then I got up from chair and served my team for refilling five cups of coffees. After I served, I passed the kettle back to her and I even said thank you. Then second round coffee refilling, there was another server was Caucasian who had refilled our coffees one by one, holding kettle running around our table for a real service. Anyway, hope that server s perspective would not stay for long. Parking: Not parking friendly and the driveway narrow uphill and downhill. Not many parking spots right before restaurant but you may find in the area of downhill nearby supermarket.
Nothing special, yet another overrated brunch place. Menu is falling apart, they really need to print new ones and laminate; staff is very stiff about the 2-hr seating even though there s tables available, to the point where they ll start cleaning the table even if you re still sitting there (rude); the food is mediocre, same old. Again, really nothing special.
genuinely one of the best brunch places i ve been to, the tiramisu croffle is out of this world. however, the service always seems to be subpar. not to say they were rude, just a little cold and unwelcoming.
Tried to get a reservation and they refused to get one as there are sits available then upon entering the place, the waitress looking at us with an attitude because we wanted to sit by the view. I mean I wont spend money at a restaurant with parking view.
Went with a large party and had to pre order which I can understand as it s a small restaurant. Service was ok and went to pay my bill and was told it was a mandatory 25% tip. The waitress literally cancelled my transaction to re do it. Will not be back
We celebrate sister birthday , Very nice service and delicious !
I like food and good food in there!
I celebrated my birthday dinner here this year, the atmosphere and service were fantastic, and the steak was incredibly delicious. Highly, highly recommended!
Exquisite flavors, impeccable service, and an inviting ambiance make dining at [On and off restraunt] an unforgettable experience. Every dish is a masterpiece, crafted with precision and passion. A must-visit for food enthusiasts seeking culinary perfection.
Love it here!!! I really recommend it! We came in here before for the Lunch menu we really loved it so we also wanna try the dinner menu as well!! Love the service, staff and the food. Won t forget the environment it was so calming. Try it out you ll not regret!
Enjoyed a beautiful birthday brunch on a Monday. Truffle omelette was amazing, added bacon and it was great. Perfectly cooked. The little side salad that it came with was a surprising delight. The smoked salmon Benedict was also great. Finished the meal with a strawberry croffle...so good. Service was very good and attentive. Food came out timely and hot.
Incredible menu, the food was outstanding. Terrific and interesting menu. Fantastic value. The chef here is rocking ! Small but excellent selection of wines and local craft beer.
The vibe is fantastic here perfect for date nights and the food is great as well!
Awesome spot!
My favorite brunch place. The food is amazing, I especially recommend prawn & avocado benedict. The service is impeccable. The place is very beautiful and spacious. Music and atmosphere is very nice.
Wow top notch brunch experience!
Really delicious food here! And an amazing view of Burke Mountain! If you want an upscale brunch experience this is the place to go :)

I am very satisfied every time I come here. The ingredients are fresh and the food tastes amazing. Also, the place is so beautiful and clean, and the staff is so friendly! Highly recommended
Always a fantastic meal! We love the food, the ambience and the great service. I live in Kelowna but always try to get a meal here when Im visiting Coquitlam.
Great place for brunch! The atmosphere is very chic. Loved it
The food was amazing! Fynn was a great server and kept our waters filled :) will definitely come back
Really nice place with a great ambience. Jazz music playing. Candle light on the table. Really great date place. I think its really good for a variety of price points as well as the cheapest entree is about $16, fish and chips, and the most expensive is the seabass which was around $49 I think. The flank steak is made by sous vide and it was all good. So tender. Cooked perfectly. Great taste. I love their mocktail as well. They have two but I got the Shirley pine temple. I order Shirley temples a lot and I like this more than the traditional orange juice. They use pineapple instead. Also tried the lamb shank which was great. Really good seasoning on top. And at the end, we get free coffee! I would definitely recommend coming.
We loved it here. The food and the ambiance is amazing. Very friendly staff. Definitely will be back.
The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The servers were very polite, efficient, and experienced. We ordered the duck confit, scallop and crab risotto, and steak. The meals, along with our drinks, were excellent. Overall, we had a great experience.
Great service, beautiful atmosphere and delicious food that s different from what you can get elsewhere
Good ambience and good food. Small menu but creative options!
Food, atmosphere, and location are all incredible. Would recommend to anyone interested in a nice date night or family dinner. Come check this place out!!!!
Foods & drinks are very good. Atmosphere are excellent. Services are very good and polite. The only thing is distance between tables are little bit close and could be little bit noisy.
I absolutely adore this place. I live a few minutes away and sadly I am moving out of the area but if youre in the area you need to visit this place. It is one of my top 3 breakfast places in the lower mainland. Staff is very inviting and friendly. Food is exquisite! Pricing is very fair. Ive been here perhaps a dozen times and Ive never once been disappointed. My wife and I also went during their Christmas five course meal special and it was very fairly priced and also tasted delicious. On & Off has such an amazing vibe as well. It is also very family friendly and we brought our twin babies eveeytime and it was perfect for them. They play very nice, soft jazz music which is a plus in my books. 10/10 must go!!
The atmosphere and service is impeccable. Very impressed with the setting and food looks and tastes amazing!
Great drinks, Awesome service from Mango !! and I Love the food have had almost the whole menu!!!
Came with my wife for her bday dinner. Absolutely incredible food. Great, attentive service. We started with truffle fries then I had the flank steak, she had the rigatoni. Awesome cocktails and solid beer list too. Highly recommend, will be back!
Didn t get the chance to try it. My boyfriend invite me for my birthday, we arrived at 9:20pm and they said we couldn t get a table bc the kitchen closes at 10 even when on google it says it s open till midnight. *We called earlier to confirm times but nobody picked up
Foods are excellent. That will be perfect if they have booth seating.
The Royale bennys is incredible!! I am very picky when it comes to hollandaise sauce, but this has been the best one Ive tried. Its flavourful and had a depth to it, but not heavy. The strawberry croffle was better than it looks! I could eat 100 of these. The Chantilly cream is absolutely delicious.
Update April 2024: Had brunch here a few times. The bennys are served on a scone, not English muffin (or croissant-based pastry like other places). The breadiness of the scone didn t really go well with the yolk and hollandaise. The churros didn t taste hot/fresh but the chocolate sauce was really good. Service was a bit cool but the server warmed up after some friendly cajoling by one of our more outgoing friends. Previous review: Review is from a dinner visit just before Christmas. The ambience here is interesting. It s a casual vibe that tries to be cozy but because of the spacing of the seating it feels a bit empty. Food is good; it sounds like brunch is what they are known for. The beer list is a bit limited. Our server was very helpful and accommodating.
It was really nice. Foods were amazing, good atmosphere, and customer service was outstanding. 10/10
Found hiding in a corner and totally impressed with food
amazing food, and experience
Best brunch in Coquitlam!!!
Great place! Loved the risotto. Will definitely come back :)
Great risotto! Love the ambient! Great service.
Beautiful restaurant, the Bucatini was delicious
A Tale of Two Restaurants: On and Off My experience at On and Off could best be described as a curious clash of upscale aspirations and down-to-earth execution. This inconsistency manifested throughout the entire visit. The initial impression was promising. The restrooms boasted high-end marble finishes and modern basins, a testament to an apparent commitment to quality. However, this image was shattered by the incongruous presence of cheap, plastic toilet stalls a jarring shift in tone. This theme of disharmony carried over into the dining room. The space featured stylish architectural elements like arches and a sleek wine cellar, juxtaposed with a more basic, eatery-style seating area. The food itself was surprisingly delightful. The flavors were well-composed and delicious. However, the presentation mirrored the restaurants overall inconsistency. A beautifully crafted beet and chevre salad, for example, would be adorned with incongruous shards of cornichon pickles. Similarly, a tempting truffle fries dish, though undeniably tasty, arrived with a side of mayonnaise served in a cheap stainless steel container, detracting from the overall presentation. Ultimately, the experience lived up to the restaurants name On and Off. While glimpses of potential were evident, the lack of cohesion left me wanting.
The. Best. Breakfast. In. Canada. Ive been to many breakfast/brunch restaurants all over the country (especially in BC) and this is hands down THE BEST. Food is unreal. Unique selections but also all the basics. Highest quality fresh, everything clearly made on site. The eggs benedict served on the best english muffin Ive ever had. The fruit on the french toast was so fresh and crisp, and the french toast itself wow it was like a soft cake so good. Service is amazing and the overall aesthetic and ambience of the restaurant is so clean, modern but cozy. Located in a strip mall/plaza, it is not what it looks like on the outside!!! Definitely go
The On & Off was definitely off when we tried it for dinner on a Saturday night. We agreed to a very early reso because staff said it would be hard to get a table in a good spot at a later time. There was hardly anyone there when we left around 6:30. When we arrived at 5 the hostess greeted us with we re closed. I said we had a reservation (which she couldn t find) and she seated us. None of the beers on the menu were available except one tropical flavored one. The server who brought it said we re having beer issues and said they d comp the beer. It was warm. Our meals arrived surprisingly quickly and were mediocre. The risotto was way too salty. There was an annoying draft from the HVAC and the music was a bit loud for my taste. We didn t stay for desert. I had heard good things about the On & Off but they really did not impress. I know they morph into more of a cafe for the daytime/lunch crowd, so maybe they do that better than their evening gig? The On & Off does some good reviews as well as some not so good, so maybe they could rebrand as the Hit & Miss?
Celebrated a birthday dinner here, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Amazing food, fantastic service, and a very relaxing atmosphere. Cant wait to come again to try the brunch menu.
Beautiful restaurant and decor. We were escorted in by our hostess and seated promptly. Appetizers and main course was absolutely delicious. Best of all Cocktails 50% off on Mondays
It was a hidden gem restaurant in Coquitlam nice vibe nice view and very friendly staffs especially the store manager Rachel. Love her recommendation the sable fish is scrumptious! Can t wait to try their brunch next time.
This place is amazing!!!!! Although Ive only been there once and only have one dish, its definitely worth it!! The prices arent super expensive, less than The Keg and Cactus Club. The atmosphere is so aesthetic!! It definitely got that mood !! The lady that served us was very nice and also lit a candle on our table for us which set the vibe!! Amazing view outside as well. Ive heard their tiramisu is good!!!
Cute little brunch spot. The only issue was the server, maybe they were new but seemed very unsure of the menu and forgetting things. We were a table of 6, perhaps they just felt overwhelmed. But I d still recommend this spot.
