Being charged a tip twice is very frustrating, there were 8 of us dining here last night, and the actual bill already included an 18% tip, which the server didn t inform us about, resulting in us paying the 18% tip again.

I had a great experience yesterday at Rio steakhouse in Coquitlan, the food was delicious, the meat was perfect, lots of variety, the whole staff coming to our table were super polite and our waitress Deise was super sweet, always checking on us.

The ambiance was great & the staff were super friendly. However, the meat was really tough and chewy and not very flavourful and they just stopped coming to our table after a while, even though we still had our green coaster showing - meaning please keep offering us meat. I have been to these kinds of places in Brazil and the food there was amazing and they keep serving you until you flip your coaster to red - meaning please no more. This place, in Coquitlam, falls very short in flavour, texture and service by those offering meat. Absolutely not worth the $50.00/person

My wife and I recently visited and had a great time. We did the all-you-can eat for $50 per person. I ate like 5lbs. of meat. The salad bar was good. The dancers were great too.

The best part about Rio Steakhouse is the fantastic guys who bring over each type of meat to the table, unfortunately the food is high quantity but medium quality. Our server told us the dessert was included in the price, but we were charged $10 per dessert on our bill. Will not be returning.

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse: where reservations are a joke and customer service is non-existent. Walked in with a reservation, got told to wait another hour like they didn t know we were coming. Walked out instantly, never got that call they promised. Inside, it was a wasteland people just sitting, no food, like they were waiting for a miracle. One poor couple was stuck at a table by the door, looking like they d lost a bet. If you like wasting your time and being ignored, Rio s perfect for you. Sometimes, the end of a cut can be fatty and have a lot of gristle. Not always the best to eat.

All I can say is wow (in a very positive way). My parents took us out to Rio for a special occasion and the service/food was amazing. Please go and check for yourself. HIGHLY recommend.Tarcio was taking perfect care of us and was so polite and genuine. The manager visited our table and chatted with us and the gentlemen serving the meat were also very polite and provided great service. Obrigado!!

I have been to Brazilian Steakhouses in Toronto and Seattle and this was the first time I was disappointed with the food. No flavour in the steaks and was not offered all the meat options as we did not get to try the lamb or chicken legs. By the time it came by we already had our fill of food.

More than decent food for the price. Some of the meat cuts were quite tasty. Staff was very gracious, welcoming and accommodating. If I could provide one feedback to their management it would be to train their servers to not offer any more food if the card is red on the table.

Last and most importantly, the food was delicious, fresh and a great selection of meats cooked to perfection, served non stop throughout our dinner. Wow.... This place is amazing! Im sure you know if you love meat, this is the place to go. But not only that, service is just amazing!!!! The waiter was super nice!! One of the best server I had. Price is great! Atmosphere is good, too! Would love to go back there for sure!!!

Went here for a family birthday for the first time. The way this place operates is a bit strange as basically you can go up to the salad bar which has some mediocre food. However the main event is the waiters will cycle through and bring over a fire grilled selection of meats to your table and cut you off a slice. Its a bit odd however as the rate at which the meats can come by your table varies and the type of meat also varies. You dont really know what to expect. The meat itself was not bad but nothing to die over. The vibe of the restaurant was nice and I would say the service was pretty solid as well.

Food is very good and eat all the meat you can. It is quite expensive but for all you can eat roasted meat thats to be expected I suppose. Service was great and its a fun experience.

First time we went here and we had an incredible experience. I didnt check if it was child friendly but we brought our 2 yr old and she had fun. she ate about 3 chicken drumsticks she enjoyed the food too. They made sure she was okay and they always make sure we have water and food filled.

There was an abundance of food, and a wide variaty too. They had anything from picaña (my favorite) to bacon wrapped chicken and even chicken heart, which by the way was delicious, so needless to say the food was indeed amazing. The service was also phenominal, they came around to every table so everyone could have their fair share of meats, and there was, like I stated before, plenty for everyone. I highly recommend coming here, whether it be with a friend or party, youll love it, also its relativly fairly priced!!

Very disappointed with my experience. We went to this place with family and the 4 of us spent about $260 for 4 all you can eat and 4 non-alcoholic drinks. Salad bar was nothing special, the meat was not tasty, steaks were either burnt or uncooked, and very chewy. Like very low grade of meat. We had a table for 7:30, at about 8:40 the staff started cleaning all around us in the section we were seating at. By sweeping the floor, placing the chairs upside down on the tables and banging them around while we are still sitting trying to enjoy and have a conversation. I regret going to this place and will not return.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rio Steakhouse, and the experience was outstanding! The service was top-notch every server that came by was not only efficient but also incredibly positive and friendly, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. What stood out to me the most was how involved the manager, Daisy, was with the restaurant. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was running smoothly and was always around to help. Daisy was not only helpful but also very sweet and kind, making sure that every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. I highly recommend Rio Steakhouse for both the food and the excellent service!

Been meaning to try this restaurant for a while now as Ive heard so much about it. Maybe it was just this location and if we tried the one downtown it wouldve been different. We were a table of 2 here for one of our birthday. Before we even got settled at our table, the server was asking if weve been here before and for drink orders. We felt rushed even though it was great they explained how the red/green card system worked. The bathroom was unpleasant to say the least. It was cold, dimly lit (not in a moody aesthetic kind of way) and smelled weird. Theres also a fan or equipment thats trying to start but cant so theres also a buzzing noise. The food was okay. Im glad to see a salad bar and accompanying items available for guests to grab whenever they want. The pickled beets, artichokes, spicy Mandarin and chickpeas were tasty. However their salads were very disappointing. The Greek salad in particular lacked flavour. Could use more salt and acid. Also the tomatoes were very watery and no flavor. The salt and pepper mushrooms were too pepper but I guess were meant to be eaten with rice or mashed potatoes. As someone that doesnt eat much meat and am here to celebrate a birthday, I felt like my options were limited. As for the meat, it was a hit or miss. The pork belly and ribs were excellent. So juicy and crispy but came around very rarely. The chicken hearts were great and same with the chicken legs. The NY steak was not bad if you were able to get a medium rare cut. Grilled cinnamon pineapple couldve been grilled per slice instead of whole so more pieces can be served grilled. The lamb was dry and any cuts that were not in the middle of the slab was less than optimal. This is my biggest gripe as the consistency and quality of the meat is so dependent on which cut you get. And although it defeats the concept of the restaurant, I wish there was some way for us to ask for which meats and which cuts we wanted up front instead of waiting for it to come around and getting the end pieces. The server did ask if there were any specific meats wed like more of which is nice but its half way through a meal, and were already kind of full and we would still have to wait for the meat to come around. Overall it was a neat experience but definitely a one time thing for us. We much prefer a traditional buffet style where you go up and get the meat that youd like in the quantities that youd want. It really didnt feel like we had a meal and only that we were snacking on meat. As this was all you can eat pricing model, it was okay for us even though we didnt have that much.

I sent this to message to Rio via their website and then email but never heard back so here is the message... I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a takeout order I placed at your Coquitlam location on October 6, 2024. The order was for a family gathering of 9 people to celebrate my sons 17th birthday. Given that some of our family members are in their 70s, we decided to opt for takeout rather than dine-in, making it crucial that the order was accurate and complete. The total value of the order was $262.50. When placing the order, I specifically chose to visit in person to avoid any confusion. Our selections were made based on your online takeout menu, which included items such as ribeye steak, braised beef ribs, baked potatoes, penne Alfredo, and French fries. However, when I attempted to order these items in person, I was informed that they might only be available at your Denman location, but staff were unsure. This was surprising, as your online menu did not indicate any location-specific availability. I already had a detailed order from all family members, but I was forced to scramble and make changes because items listed online were not available Furthermore, I requested that each order be individually packaged to avoid confusion once we got home. The hostess assured me this would be done. However, when we unpacked the food, we found that all the items were mixed together. For instance, all the New York steaks were in the same box, making it impossible to distinguish between those cooked medium versus well-done. This caused frustration among family members, as several received the wrong items. Similarly, all the side dishes including mashed potatoes, rice, kale salad, and mushrooms were grouped together, forcing my wife and me to re-plate everything ourselves. This significantly detracted from what was supposed to be a relaxing family dinner. I realize that Rio provides a great in-person experience, but it is not ideal for large takeout meals. I am disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and the inconvenience this caused. I was also surprised that Rio did not offer a complimentary dessert, such as your famous grilled pineapple, as a goodwill gesture considering the inaccurate menu information online.

The food was great and the dinner atmosphere was quite festive, which was also good. The fee for the Friday night performance was unexpected, however (the performers certainly do a good job and their job is not easy, but I wish I knew that the restaurant would charge me a performance fee beforehand).

Service was good, samba dancers were fun and festive(on Fridays). Unfortunately, food was sub par, for $50 the meat was most times not well seasoned, no fillet or nicer cuts of meat offered (New York strip was best cut). No labels at salad bar so at times you didn t know what was on your plate.

It was meh, they said there was 12 different kinds of meat they were serving the night we went and I swear it was all the same meat coming to our table and honestly felt like we were eating more of what was served in the buffet line than the actual meat. Also, the meat was just so rare for us it was not appetizing and the chicken was also undercooked and everything was just completely SALTY. Though the service was great, I did not like how in the end the server was questioning us on how we would tip. Reminder, tipping is not required nor it is demanded. The more you demand from me the less you get or nothing at all. The prices are already so high and you expect us to tip almost as much or more than the price of how much it is per person which is $49. Overall, it was a good thing we tried this restaurant so we know but other than that I don t think it s worth it at all.

Staff was really good, food was also really good albeit a bit salty on some of the meats. My favorite were the pork belly and brisket, I found some of the thicker meats quite rare.

We went to celebrate a special occasion, and Rio Stake House made it even more special! The meat quality and presentation is an absolute 10/10!! The salad bar has lots of good options, too. Highly recommend the BBQ ribs and the cinamon pineapple. However, theres not a single wrong option on the menu. Ambiance is also another great plus. The nice environment and music really help you feel nice and relaxed. Last but not least, the client service is one of the best if not the best haha. They treated us very politely and were very accommodating. Cant wait to come back! Great for going on any occasion

Managed to fit us in without booking but were very busy so I would recommend booking if you can. The staff were lovely and couldn t do enough for you. Explained everything, provided excellent service with a smile throughout, and were happy to bring different meats out if requested. The buffet salad etc was kept topped up and tidy, and all great tasting dishes, as well as the hot sides they brought to the table. Meat was perfectly cooked with sooooo much choice! Good selection of drinks too. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Worst steakhouse ever! I would never recommend this restaurant or come here again. The meat quality was disgusting. We paid $125 for two, and we barely ate. The taste was bad, and they didn t bring the food often. The salad buffete was terrible, like it had been sitting there for three days. There were fruit flies around my wine. Omg, it was a very, very bad experience. I don t recommend it.

Some of the reviews on here are confusing. We had the best time. Everything was on point. The server was attentive, the guy bringing the meat around was fast and polite. The atmosphere is beautiful and classy. I honestly cant fault anything. If I had to, Id say I wasnt a huge fan of the sausage, but thats MY personal preference. Id recommend to anyone looking to get a lot of high quality meat/ buffet/ salad bar.

Been here a couple of times, as well as the downtown location. Gotta say I really prefer this Coquitlam location, though they are both good. The service is great, everyone is super friendly and helpful, and know how to make it a fun experience. Our waitress was really sweet and always there if we needed anything, and the guys constantly walk around with a variety of different meats. I had to get well done meat, as Im pregnant, and they were really good about only offering the well done, and letting me know when it wasnt. Super accommodating, which was really nice. 10/10 would recommend!

The location looks fantastic. Parking is hard to find but if you manage to score a spot you are fortunate. We didnt expect the price to have gone up as much as it has- $50 per person for dinner but I guess thats like everything these days. Super friendly staff.

Went here for a wedding and it was amazing. The service was amazing. I really enjoyed the salad bar and the cinnamon pineapple. My husband was obsessed with the steak and lamb. It was cooked and seasoned exactly the way he loves it. The bride and groom seemed so happy with all the food also. It was a great experience.

Here is my review after visiting for few times: Meats were raw, when asking for the well done part server showd us her scorny face, or she said we just have raw now. Our host didnt came to our table for checking on us until we were leaving, not feeling welcomed, like Im eating here for free! uncooked food and pricey. Not recommended anymore. Not going there or bring guest with this way of hosting.

If you wish to get food sick try it, the food was completely raw and all 3 of us got sick not sure if they are Brazilian, but our host and hospitality were the worst among all nations! - Quality is nice, food safety zero. Just read other people comments. Wish there was a better supervision on food safety in Canada.

Had dinner here today, and It has been quite a while since Ive been here. I remember meat that was overly salty, and dry. However, it seems like theyve improved the food here since the first time Ive tried it. I would highly suggest the Top Sirloin, the Lamb, the brisket, the ribs, and the pork belly. One thing is that the brisket, ribs and pork belly did not come until after 1-1.5 hours sitting at the table! Got decently full with the cheap stuff first! Maybe dont come here too early, so that you can eat the good stuff. A huge kudos to Patrick, he brought out the stuff I liked, and had a really positive, friendly demeanor. Definitely an asset to your wait staff! The owner also came by to chat and make sure everything was good, which was nice. Wish they had some dessert as part of the AYCE situation though! Overall a decent experience, if youre looking to eat a pile of meat.

This is an awesome place to meat up with friends! They have a rare talent for making delicious food. Compared to their downtown location, this one can steak the claim for having better parking. If these jokes are bacon you crazy, keep calm and curry on theres no point in hamming it up. The all-you-can-eat meat here is even tastier than these puns.

I came, upon my wifes suggestion. I have lived in Coquitlam for a while now, and never been. I did not know, this was All you can eat and i was not prepared. The service was, top drawer. Friendly, welcoming and happy. The decor is very attractive. Come here, for Brazil away from Brazil! I have not been yet, so.... The price, was a little more than we were ready for but worth it. There is ZERO bad food here, come hungry and you will be returning. The servers come regularly with new, fresh meat. ALL is well done, as my wife demands. The wine and beer list, is adequate. I find, this is a good location, SO get over here.

Awesome place to eat and to get the true Brazilian atmosphere

Update recently went and it was just okay. The server barely came around my water glass was always empty the meat selection was very few and far between only four different kinds of meat that includes a sausage. Chicken only came around once and we were celebrating someones birthday and I grew up five just imagine what that bill was not to mention the gratuity. Was not happy with that situation. The atmosphere was dark the building was dark the buffet was halfway warm halfway cold just not what you expect for a couple hundred bucks. This place right here is the kind of service that you should get anywhere you go except for they make sure that your glass of water is full and youre okay. Ive been to the Brazilian style steak houses in California Washington Utah Nevada and now here in Coquitlam BC and BC by far is the best one that I have been to! I would definitely go back they need to pick up a few more vegetables & liven up the salad bar. But the beans and rice with the pork belly and sausage is awesome all the meats were pretty awesome and I cant say enough about the service takes a lot for me to give a good compliment.

Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian salad bar .. but it is a meat served at the table - so meat is basically what the restaurant is all about.

This is meat heaven for those who love meats. They serve different meats almost every half a minute so you really need to finish your meat fast. You dont want to leave or save your meats on your plate too long cause most of them get very chewy when not hot anymore. The flavor of each meat is simple - not too overwhelming - which is good because you have a lot of sauces and side dishes to choose as meat accompaniments. Everything is great but my favorite is the beef brisket - still melt in the mouth even though its left for a few minutes. The staff is attentive and friendly! Highly recommend

Rio is always fabulous! The endless parade of meats is a carnivore dream! I think we ate for 2 hours straight the last time we were there! Just make sure to make a reservation on the weekends so you are not stuck waiting, it is a very popular place! The atmosphere is fun and the service was fantastic!

Great experience at Rio. Deise was a great waitress... very attentive to everything we needed. Parking was challenging... do not park in McDonalds parking lot but everywhere else is OK. Love the deep fried banana appetizer and the flank steak. Wish they had Rib Eye but told that they dont have this every night. Parking: Dont park in McDonalds lot but everywhere else is OK

We enjoyed our dining experience but a couple of things to note. Reso system always seems unavailable on Saturdays and I had to call to confirm availability. The other thing that was disappointing was the amount of parking spots. You cannot park at any of the McDonalds parking spots. Also wished there was ribeye steak meat available. Great food, great service. Apparently, we were there on the wrong night to see the entertainment, so I guess well have to go back sometime.

We accidentally made reservations for only 4 people this past Saturday evening and showed up with 5. The host graciously worked quickly with her team and found us a larger table within seconds while apologizing to us for the inconvenience of changing tables during a very busy dinner. THIS IS SERVICE! Well be back to make up even more of the AYCE costs with drinks and desserts. Thank you to the team! PS. The chicken hearts were the best Ive ever had, any where.

Got there too late in the evening so we didn t have a good selection of food which was kind of disappointing for the cost lesson learned make sure you show up fairly early to get a good selection of food. We came there last Monday foe a birthday party there was 35 of us the waitress that was working that night was amazing the food was great the meat selection was great and lots of it I have only one complaint is the salad bar could have had more of a selection some seafood would have been great but other wise you cant go wrong you will leave having a meat coma lol

Unfortunately the Vancouver location doesnt have a elevator for disabled people. I was forced to drive to Coquitlam. Which made dinner around 8 clock. At this time you lose the experience because they dont make the meat regularly due to getting close to closing time. The meat was few and the waitress was more focused on closing duties. At 200 dollars for 3 people dinner, I was not impressed with the experience. Wheelchair accessibility: Vancouver has no elevator for eating on 2nd floor

I hosted a birthday dinner at Rio Steakhouse Coquitlam location this weekend and everything went just perfect. Service was impeccable and Deise went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and everyone was happy. Deise was phenomenal.

Had an amazing time. Mauricio was very welcoming and the servers were all so friendly. Food was delicious, fresh and flavourful. The roasted pineapple to finish the meal was the perfect ending. We will be back!

Everything about our experience dining at the Rio was amazing! Delicious food, all of it. The flavors were lovely from the meats to the buffet style cold foods of a wide variety of salads and side dishes. The service was impeccable, all staff was attentive and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by right at the end of our stay the Samba Dancers started performing their show! Next time well plan it where we can arrive a bit later to watch a bit more. Well definitely go back and tell people about our wonderful time their. Vegetarian options: Lots of salads but wouldnt recommend for vegetarian to go. Heavily meat based. Dietary restrictions: No peanuts nuts to be concerned about.

Breaks my heart because a lot of the other meat is great but the chicken is always raw which is actual poison. The bathrooms are extremely dirty I would rather use a public park washroom

I love going here. My husband and I go here for date nights. The food is so amazing and the staff are so friendly. I really recommend everyone to go here. Friday nights at 6:30 they have Brazilian dancers.

This is our go to restaurant for special occasions. Kids love the salad buffet. My husband and I love the variety of meat. The pineapple is fabulous. Only wish they had a dessert buffet too. Update Went again and it was just as good as I remembered. Reservations are definitely necessary. Super busy on Friday. Also there is a samba performance on Fridays and they automatically track on a charge for it. Sadly they didnt have beef ribs, but all the rest of the meats were there. Yum!

My visit to Rio Brazilian Restaurant was an absolute delight! Nestled in an easily accessible location with ample parking, this restaurant sets a high bar for convenience right from the start. The atmosphere inside is cheerful and welcoming, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The buffet is a standout feature, offering an abundance of fresh options that cater to a variety of tastes. From salads to traditional Brazilian dishes, there is something for everyone. The meats, the restaurants crowning glory, are varied and exceptionally well-prepared each bite bursting with flavor. For those who enjoy a good drink with their meal, Rio doesnt disappoint. The drink menu is extensive, complementing the food perfectly. And if you re there on a Friday night, you re in for a treat with vibrant Latin dancing, adding an extra layer of fun to the dining experience. Special mention must be made of the service, especially our waiter, Mauricio, whose warm and engaging manner made us feel right at home. His attentiveness and friendliness enhanced our evening significantly.

Great experience no end to the service. Salad bar was good. Some meat was a bit off perfection. Needed a really good cut of sirloin maybe. No Brazilian beer when we were there. The caiprinha was ok.

I arrived on a weekday night, and the resturant was practically empty save me and another table. I appreciate that they fired up the grill for me, and that I got first pick to all the meats they roasted. The decor and atmosphere of the resturant is classy and elegant. The staff is attentive and took excellent care of my craving for meat. The food served is generally good with some exceptional highlights. The salad bar is small and lack choices. I was craving for heart of palm, which unfortunately they did not have. Their feijoada is extremely bland and not recommended. However, I appreciate that the grilled linguiça is exceptionally meaty and not overly salty. Picanha is very tender and roasted to perfection, definitely a highlight of the meal. Likewise, the NY steak is excellent and another highlight - succulent and seasoned to perfection. Unfortunately, their lamb is dry and they did not have any good sauce to accompany it. I love the grilled pineapple. I never had it before and it is super juicy and deliciously sweet. Aside from the linguiça, picanha, NY steak and grilled pineapple, everything else is good but forgettable. After 5 plates of meat, I did not even feel hungry until the NEXT night. That is insane value, and this alone is worth 5 stars for me. Vegetarian options: There is a salad bar and it lacks options. But perhaps you shouldnt be here if you are a vegetarian. Parking: Parking lot on the side of the building.

Meat is very dry and all blends together. Pineapple was a nice touch to break tastes up. The buffet was pretty bland but didn t mind the rice and Pão de queijo. They also give free birthday dessert!

The meats! The meats! The most flavourful and tasty and juicy meats of all kinds, can t believe how good the Brisket, Flank Steak, Striploin, Pork, Chicken and so on and so on were - just sooo good. It was a very busy night with over 100 people for a party so the meat serving service was a bit hard to control and pace, and I am sure it would be different if it weren t so crowded, nevertheless intimations. But the bartender /server? Fantastic memory to remember all the drink orders without even writing it down - wow! An experience for sure, in the best way!

Love to have lunch at this place, especially on weekends so I can feel that vibe I used to have back at home in southern Brasil. Good beef, you must also try the Feijoada with some rice and farofa. Amazing. People working there treats you so well. That guy Mauricio makes everything work as a well oiled machine, serving person after person with ease and joy. Extend my compliments to that lady operating the bbq production and serving you all at the same time. Professionals.

First time trying it, cool experience, went in with a friend for their lunch buffet, good value for the amount of food, their meats were amazing and quite filling! Got full super fast, will be going again, thanks to the hostess who was quite helpful in explaining the experience. Oh, and the booking experience was smooth, I booked about 3 weeks ahead and got reminders, also the nice hostess got us started even before our booking time as we arrived slightly earlier - thank you very much

A fun experience for those who have never tried Brazillian BBQ. Ive been here a handful of times now, and my last visit had bumped down their service to 2/5 stars. They tried to seat us at the table directly in front of the door while other tables were available, after asking to switch tables as I get cold easily I was told all tables are reserved, and the table by the door was reserved for my group. After going back and forth, they finally moved us to another table further in the restaurant. Dinner took us about an hour, and during that time, NOT A SINGLE GROUP was placed at the first table they offered. Heck, the restaurant was not even full.

Amazing place, easy access. We were attended to with everything we asked. Brazilian style barbecue, buffet with salads, feijoada and guaraná! We miss Brazilian barbecue.

I never went to Rio Steak again, the service was really bad, the meat didnt arrive at the table and the food on the buffet was really strange, almost a different color. One day after consuming it I had a very bad food infection! Everyone who asks me where to go, I already tell them where not to go!!!! Everyone knows about the fame, and no one does anything about it! _____ I went to Rio Steak and Im not coming back anytime soon, the steak took forever to be delivered to our table, the food at the buffet was really weird, almost another color. One day later I had a really bad food poisoning!!!!

Had high hopes as we went to one in Mexico before and it was amazing. We got there at exactly our reservation time. They were packed and we had to wait another 15 minutes. With the amount of people in there I thought we were up for a great meal. We were highly disappointed in the quality of the meat. The spice and flavor. Will definitely not be returning. I would have had a better steak at The keg.

Horrible management!! We made a reservation for 3 at 7:00 to make sure that we get the table ontime as we have a 2 year old with us. We arrived there 7:01 and no host nor anyone helping for 10 minutes, then the host came she told us that she have no tables available for us and that we need to wait 30 minutes!! Why open reservations then if you can not honor them!!! Horrible Horrible experience, specially that we drove 40 minutes to reach there. We ended up leaving and driving to the keg. We used to come here a lot with our baby and furr baby as they have a nice patio, but we will never be coming again!!

Great value. Went here with my son for his 18th birthday. Him and his friends. Nonstop meet and sides. For a wednesday night the down stairs was half full or more and they had enough staff to make sure everyone was having a great time. I will definitely be back

well very disappointed this restaurants food was gross the meat was undercooked and really salty and the salad bar was bland . the restroom was dirty. the whole experience was not very good. and was very expensive for the value we got. and all of us that went for the dinner felt nauseous and sick even into the next day. i wouldn t recommend it at all. i feel like they knew their service wasn t very good since they did comp my cousins meal since it was his birthday which was nice of them. but still it was very disappointing experience for his birthday family dinner to have such gross food. and normally i wouldnt complain i work in the service industry and i know how hard it is to help and work with the public but the food quality needs attention at this restaurant :(

Last time I went to a Brazilian all you can eat steak place was maybe 15 years ago (Samba in Vancouver). Weve seen/passed this place so many times and finally went here for my birthday today with the family. It was good. Food was delicious, service was amazing, our server (her name was desea?) was lovely and amazing. No complaints from us. Definitely will come back.

The service here is wonderful. Staff is attentive and friendly. Friday nights they have samba dancers who are also amazing and friendly. They really add to the experience, I couldnt imagine the place without them.The only negative thing is the tables by the bar are really close together. So much so we passed on dessert because the tables were just too cramped. If space is important when you make your reservation request away from the bar and it will avoid that situation. Enjoy!

Enjoyed the meats, the side dishes felt a bit average. The service was excellent. Lastly, this may seem irrelevant, but I really think they should invest in some sound system, because the music environment just seemed flat.

Bit pricey. But if you have a good appetite its worth it. Lots of good cuts of steak and other meat. It was really tasty too

I m not usually a buffet person, but Rio is a great exception. The service is fast and friendly. Meats from the grill are brought to your table and cut on demand. Highly recommend the top sirloin and chicken hearts. The salad bar is fresh and varied. The feijoada especially is great with all the fixings. Clean, bright and comfortable atmosphere. If you eat meat and have an appetite, Rio is worth a visit.

Ill preface this post by saying we have been to this restaurant about 4 times before. However, this 5th time may be the reason we cant go back. My girlfriend and I were having the valentine special dinner last week and about 15 minutes into our meal, I found a ripped off dirty finger nail inside the cheese bread. To make matters worse, I didnt notice it until I had already taken a bite and felt it in my mouth. Disgusting... I know. The server offered us 40% off the meal. I asked to speak to the general manager who offered 50% off and took what felt like forever to come to our table. After another 10 minutes went by I couldnt stop thinking about it and felt crazy for having to pay 50% of the valentine special after our night was obviously ruined. I let the server know we would just like to leave at that point since we had barely eaten and only been there 25 minutes. The server attempted to still charge us for the meal and I had to ask the general manger to void the bill. I understand things happen but this was really disgusting on such a special night. The server and manager also did not do a very good job on trying to rectify the issue and make things right. Despite enjoying the food in the past, I dont know if we can go back to this restaurant after this experience.

If youre hoping to eat a good feijoada, this is definitely not the place. The menu says Feijoada Completa, however, Kale and pork belly is typical of a real Brazilian feijoada, I didnt even see a sign! The portion is small, the rice was soggy and the feijoada only had a piece of sausage. The portion of farofa and vinaigrette came in a shameful quantity! I drove far away to pick up my order and another disappointment, in addition to not providing disposable cutlery, and the feijoada wasnt hot. I definitely wont spend my money ordering food from this restaurant anymore. Perhaps table service (dinner in) is different from take out. But my first experience ordering via Uber with them was frustrating!

This place is amazing, professional and serves delicious food. The staff are friendly and made sure we had a good time from the moment we entered. The food is great, and the restaurant is generous in brining in all variety of meats, with a great selection of salads at the appetizer bar too. My family and I had an amazing experience. We went here for the New Years Party, spent the $79pp plus drinks. The meat was great...but all the same flavor. The sides were lacking, was defiantly not a side buffet. There was only white rice, black beans, mashed/chunky potatoes & mushrooms, everything else was cold and salad like. We found that the servers catered to the larger tables & the meat to these tables first, then there would be none left for smaller tables. The dance floor that was in front of the dj was taken up a couple hours into the evening by an extra table so they could squeeze more people in. So there was not much room for dancing, but you couldnt hear the music anyway. The dessert was probably the best part, cheesecake. We actually left before 11pm as we were so bored, there was no where else to go sit or stand to have a drink or socialize, so it did not feel like a party. Disappointing to say the least at the price tag made us think it was going to be a pretty grand event but defiantly was not

It was an amazing place with tasteful meats and sides, overall were happy with the experience, Ill just want to say that it wasnt a busy day and the service was a little bit slow for moments, they need more staff for sure.

$35 is a reasonable price for weekend lunch. BBQ pork is the best which you have to try. BBQ beef is above the average. Nice person and good service. Its good place to have a party which has show on Friday night.

The main point of going there is to eat a well barbecued brazilian stake, which you rarely find there

I love this place. Food is good, service is good. I know some say the price is high but I will say the price is not expensive considering the food and service I get.

I visited on a Friday night for dinner with a friend. I was a little surprised by a sign announcing a $3 per adult cover charge for the samba dancers. Im told the dancers were good, since I couldnt see them from my seat, but I had to be told this after they finished because their music was too loud for us to hear each other yell. The food was good but some meats were beginning to look like shoe leather as they were being taken out for the third or fourth time. The variety of meats on offer seems to have shrunk over the past few years, but the salad bar is still great. Service was fantastic. All of the servers were friendly and accommodating, and the manager came around a couple of times. Overall, Im in no hurry to go back and I wouldnt return on a Friday night, but if someone suggested the Rio I would be happy to eat there again (at least until Fogo de Chao comes to the Vancouver area).

This is the best for all you can eat buffet .You only leave your seat if you need a side or the washroom. Bonus, there is a show to watch.

Great dining experience, the staff were extremely attentive and accommodating. We like our beef rare and the staff upon hearing that ensured thats what we received. The quality of the food was great and the dishes were all executed well. Fully enjoyed our experience and would recommend.
