I went to this location for a holiday meal with my high school best friends from wayyyy back!! My experience was absolutely incredible!! The food was good and the location was pretty nice. However, the service was truly amazing. Reese was our bartender and he was so kind, attentive, and a funny young guy!!! Since our visit, my old pals and I have talked about going back because of the service! Thank you so much to the keg and (most of all) Reese for a special night :)

The food and service is ready good. It is however quite pricey, it would be great for special occasions.

I spent 115 for prime rib that was raw..i asked specifically for something to b added..I get there to pick it up and had to wait just long enough that once I got home nothing was warm.worst keg meal ever.i had it 2 weeks prior it was amazing.not this time..its alot of money to b disappointed..but does management try to rectify hell no..not a peep..I guess Ill just not go to this location..sad cuz staff is nice.

The food and service were horrible. I got sick after the lunch, and they charged us $35 per person for a buffet that didn t include any salads, drinks, fruits, desserts, or starters. Despite the limited offerings, they still expected us to pay the full price. I don t recommend this restaurant.

Upon arriving at the restaurant we were warmly greeted and seated almost right away. Our server , Ashley made us feel welcome at our first meeting and was a superb server . She didn t flirt with my husband to get better tips nor ignored me . She was very knowledgeable and yet not pushy ! We were so happy with your service Ashley and we want to give you a review. highly recommend it. The food was fresh , great portions and very tasty !

Our server was Dani she went above and beyond for us making sure we were satisfied with our dinner I had 10oz fillet minion and my girlfriend has teriyaki sirloin and she has keg size long Island ice tea and I ha keg size mai tai absolutely delicious

We came for our late dinner and we truly like this place. The Steakhouse is delicious, also the vegetables and potato. My daughter really enjoyed and she tasted everything on her plate. Will come back here many times.

Dani was our waitress and left us with a fantastic experience to share. She went above and beyond when it came to my allergies. I feel safe in their hands and the food was amazing. Rare to find these days. Thank you Dani! Dietary restrictions: For dairy allergies the cauliflower mash was a great recommendation from Dani and I wouldnt have known the difference from mashed potatoes.

Disappointed with the steak my wife got. We both ordered New York strip loin steaks and the one my wife got was tough, dry and not as good quality as we had expected. we have been here a few times before, it s our once or twice a year treat. My steak was good, we ended up sharing a good and a bad half each. Sticky toffee pudding wasn t very good, it was dry and would not recommend.

Mac was so good serving and gave us suggestions!!food was so good , portion itself was good enough !! Ambience was amazingly done , they were closed for renovation and the turn back was AMAZINGLY AWESOME!! Keep up good work team KEG!

Recently renovated, great place

It was my friend s 60th birthday. There was 20 of us. The food was phenomenal, it s my feeling it s far overpriced though. The atmosphere was nice, nothing spectacular though. The lighting at the table we were sitting at was far too bright overhead. It felt like we were under spotlights. Not really the ambiance you want during a dinner party. The service was amazing. Took very good care of all of us. I would recommend it, however, I need to say again, I think it s far overpriced though.

Decided to give it a.try for my birthday as we hadn t been for a year . Busy and our server was trying his best but service was slow , we ordered one drink and was never asked if we wanted another . Felt neglected the whole time , was sad for the prices to be neglected .

Last Saturday, we went to the Keg at Coquitlam Center. Their summer lobster special was great delicious and generously portioned, enough for my daughter and me to share.

The experience was not good at all, especially when spending $400 for dinner. Right off the bat, we walked in and the greeter was beyond rude (young blonde lady). She asked me what can I do? In a way like why are you even here? Rolling her eyes and not a smile in sight. This was despite us having a reservation: we were a nuisance to her. It put us in the absolute worst mood. When I told the manager about her attitude, the manager simply said oh sorry she was alone during the rush! How is that an excuse? This is an expensive steak house and people pay this much for a special experience. Beyond disappointed and will never return to this location.

Our server was terrific. I would go back just for her service alone. The food was perfect; the only downside was that it was hectic. I understand it can be loud, but I almost felt like I was yelling sometimes.

Took my mom for a birthday dinner. She enjoyed it a lot but I didn t think the service was as good as other keg locations. The food was great though. The blueberry crostata tasted like a pop tart though.

Couple few days ago I had my dinner there with couple friends... Ive ordered the steak and grilled shrimps... the food was amazing the services was super good.... We were served by McColl who really looked after us and his customer service skills are top notch... Delicious meals, nice place and patio, good staff.

I have been to a multiple KEG restaurants and I was always happy with the food and service. But the Coquitlam KEG has poor service. They brought the Salad and appetizer after the main meal. The steak sauce was forgotten. The menu was greasy, as well as the take out box. Some of the dishes were wet with water drops on it. It was my son s 10 yo birthday and we brought a cake. The waiter didn t even bother to sing a birthday song. We were disappointed.

If I look for one good, happy dinner everyday, this Keg location is where I can trust in the area. From the beautiful smiles at the front- to the professional server, serving Perfectly seasoned foods with house made warm bread and butter and the homey service with nice spacious table setting- indeed, the price is also reasonable with perfect temperature adjusted wine. I cant really find a better place if you like Steaks and wine. Thank you. Kid-friendliness: They do have kids menu with a treat. :)

The restaurant is nice, not too noisy so I dont have to yell. Husband had a steak. I had Mac and cheese and the caulifour. I really like the cauliflower, but the mac and cheese taste like dry dusted noodles - so dont order them if you like cheese on your Mac and cheese.

We visited The Keg last Saturday for my mom s birthday. It s a place we go to occasionally, but this was the first time we had an issue with the food. However, the staff handled it kindly, so we were still able to enjoy our meal. The food was delicious, and the service was good. We ll definitely be back again.

Omg, they did it. They made the ultimate steak. The Chicago Rare. Burnt on the outside bloody on the inside. I love the Keg. Update: The Keg is the best. The staff, the food quality, the consistency is all unmatched by anywhere else. Celebrate a friend, or drag yourself in half wearing your PJs, its a great place to be.

Overall, the food was disappointing this time around. The garlic mashed potatoes were very dry and hard, the carrots and beans were very underdone and our steaks were cooked to the opposite doneness. My husbands was medium and mine was medium rare, we had ordered them the other way around, and since they were different steak cuts, we didnt switch them with each other. It made it hard for me to eat much of my meal. Just too bad as we were celebrating a birthday and when we were there a while back for our anniversary, they forgot to bring us our appetizer! Just expect a little bit more perfection for the price.

The Keg has been a favorite since the first opened in North Van. We have eaten in many in different parts of Canada. Coquitlam Keg is new to us but is every bit as enjoyable as the Keg experience in any other location. We had had a busy day and a Keg feast seemed the perfect treat. We were not disappointed, Coquitlam Keg is great. You cant beat a perfectly cooked steak. I had a delicious tuna tartar as an appetizer, my wife had prawns. My blue cheese steak was perfect. We shared a creme brulee Mmm.

We have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here every year, for about 30 years, beginning at the Christmas Way location. The standard of quality in the meals has been consistent, and the flavours are distinctively The Keg. Always seasoned well and mouthwatering. The service has always been delightful. In fact, my husband worked with many servers in previous employment. We will always be happy to return to celebrate lifes milestones.

Ordered it for take out at Coquitlam location. 10oz prime rib was way over done. Teriyaki sirloin was under cooked, and basically a ball of meat. Update June 2024: Dined again, same Coquitlam location. The teriyaki steak was perfection and the prime rib was delicious. Thanks for the response and support from the Keg!

Everything was great except the volume of music. Never understood why it has to be so loud, then the customers have to yell over it to be heard.

This is why I keep going back to this Keg. I was with a friend for dinner and her steak was well done rather than medium. She mentioned it to the server, and moments later the manager was at our table. He had a new dinner prepared for her and compted the dinner as well. That is customer service and why people keep going back !! Thank you Keg staff, you are doing such a great job.

Amazing food and quality service, definitely coming back

Went for my birthday, declared I had celiac disease and was assured by the chef theyd look after me. I was in gastrointestinal distress by the time I got home -- if thats a concern for you Id really recommend going somewhere else. My wife and son had a nice time. Great professional staff, food awesome and of course nice cold beer.

Avoid this place!!! There were a couple of baby rats on the floor right below our table (indoor tables). We told them and they saw them too and apologized and tried to catch them. We left immediately but we already had our food :( A health inspection for this place is required!!

We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary tonight, our table was not to our liking. Once we voiced our displeasure it took less than 5 minutes to get a better table. Which I thought was excellent. Our waiter Philip was engaging humerus and exceptional. Thank you Philip, you elevated our experience. I ordered a rare pepper corn NY strip with lobster tail ,everything was beyond my expectations. My wife had the garlic baked shrimp wedge salad and Crispy cauliflower also amazing she said except for the cauliflower , not to her liking. Philip took it off the bill ....that my friends is above and beyond in my opinion. We also received complimentary champagne! Our night and experience at the Keg Coquitlam was nothing short of perfect. Thank you to the chefs and the staff .

We love Keg. Prices are expensive but you can get the value of pricetag. One thing is I ate escargot. It has curry taste. It was delicious but for escargot, I prefer the traditional French taste. Other than that, I can recommend this restaurant for a special occasion

The onion soup is delicious. I had steak and lobster. The lobster tail was very small. Id rather pay more and get a nice piece of tail :)

I really like the place and I have visited it on several occasions, especially the one located on Granville Island. I just want to say that I am one of those who tip, not what they suggest, but according to the service and not the amount, which is what I see. What happened over the weekend when visiting them? In this case, I think the waiter expected much more than what he gave him and his reaction was somewhat rude and he did not hide his anger. It is not an obligation to do so, but they should emphasize that his reactions are not so noticeable. In my opinion, it somewhat tarnishes the excellent service that characterizes them.

I m not one to write a review, but the service was incredible. I sat at the bar due to limited seating and had an incredible bartender serve me. He was professional, genuine, and unlike any bartender I ve had before - including those at Michelin Star restaurants. I don t remember his name, but I do recall that he was blonde and enjoyed hockey. I m writing this review because the service at the keg deserves to be recognized. Thank you!

Ive had many things here over the years and theyre all quite average for a premium price.

Great food and friendly staff. Would recommend going when they are less busy (which is difficult). When full, atmosphere tends to be noisy forcing folks to pick up the voices adding to the noise. Service also drops off slightly too.

I have not been at The Keg Coquitlam Restaurant for a couple of years but was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere at the bar where I had probably the best premium chicken wings in decades about which were large, juicy and generous as to the portions while watching a hockey game and served by an excellent staff. The fact is the restaurant has seating that can be of a more formal and intimate affair but offers a more casual and sports orientated experience in the separate lounge area. My only suggestion is some sound with the many televisions could be an option without interrupting the mood of the rest of the restaurant in view of the lounge area is separated appropriately to not compete with the music and personal conversation of the other patrons. The Happy Hour does offer more reasonably priced appetizers and drinks especially beer and wine which I believe any regular customers can continue to support the restaurant on a frequent basis. Vegetarian options: I am not a vegetarian but I am quite sure that The Keg has incorporated some suitable options. Dietary restrictions: I am sure that The Keg would accommodate any request for dietary restrictions. Parking: The area of parking is a sufficient lot that is shared with other establishments but be cognizant of the hourly restrictions as the time limitations are strictly enforced by a very eagar and efficient company! Kid-friendliness: Children are welcomed in the restaurant with a kid-friendly menu with proper supervision by the accompanying adult. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant and the parking lot does offer a suitable wheelchair, walker and stroller type of accessibility.

Great steak and good sides, drinks and atmosphere. Crab cake starter was average but it was the bone marrow feature that let it all down. Other than oil, there was no discernible marrow in the bone so we just had to basically make do with dipping the provided bread in fat. 3.5/5 is perhaps a fairer rating.

The food was not bad but not great, the detached server was a robot reciting disingenuous lines he learned but didnt feel, and the atmosphere was more like a loud public house than a dining experience.

Its too expensive for what it is. The service is next level, no complaints there. The restaurant is clean and has a good ambience. The food is good, just way too expensive. I just find it hard to spend a weeks worth of groceries on a steak dinner. Nice for a treat every now and then, I suppose. I find the value for mist restaurants is far too low these days.

As expected keg quality food. I do find service is not what it used to be (this is anywhere) but the keg used to be known for its top notch service and the way servers used to greet and handle a table is completely out the door. The last few times we have decided to go to the kegs we find your servers are quick to drop the food while honestly walking past the table. Its basically dump while they keep walking. Im not sure if its due to them being over worked or people just dont care to invest their time as tips are an expectation rather then based off the quality and experience now. We are fairly simple people and dont have massively high expectations but it is disappointing the keg like many other establishments just dont have good customer service anymore and for this we mostly rather eat at home.

Keg will always be a staple for a good steak. Prices on everything are getting way out of hand and too expensive with a family to go out anymore. Other than that service was very good from the moment we walked in.

Miguel was excellent,Professional, Polite, Friendly and knowledgeable about food and drinks. He made very yummy Moctail for us. He was quick in service. I look forward to go again with my friends and definitely asking for Micguel to serve us.

An Awesome Filet Mignon !

Lively restaurant. Reservations recommended, otherwise could be 30-45 min wait for a table. You can be seated in the lounge, enjoy a couple cocktails and appies while you wait for your table. They were part of the Dine Out festival and had a very good 3 course menu. Service was very attentive and professional. Our steaks and prime rib roast was perfectly cooked to our request.

Celebrated my sisters birthday here, and they were incredibly generous with the celebratory dessert. We decided to mix things up and ordered dishes we dont usually go for a fun exploration of the menu. The Keg burger was a delightful surprise remarkably tasty and juicy. The highlight for me was the twice-baked potato on the side, adding to the overall satisfaction. The blackened chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, a definite hit. However, the Sirloin Oscar fell a bit short; the steak could have used more seasoning. Beets were amazing on the dishes, but the broccoli were a bit too soft, lacking some taste.

Keg is consistent with food quality and excellent service. Crispy cauliflower appetizer was delicious. Ceaser salad needing an improvement, lacking taste, otherwise everything else was up to Keg standard.

I was not happy with my experience last night. Im construction worker and i feel like i was treated poorly because of how i dress The manager even came out to bring my bill and make sure i paid. I couldnt believe it. I will not be returning here and im a long time customer . She also left me to figure out how to use a gift card on my own. This lady did not act properly and it affected my night .

Recently visited this Keg and would say this is the second best Keg in the chain. The Burnaby location is the best, but this is the second best one we have been to, of many. The food and service are good but make sure you make a reservation to save yourself a wait.

I came back for dinner with my boyfriend on his birthday last Saturday. We both ordered steak and lobster tail. My portion of steak and lobster tail tasted a bit salty but overall everything was good.

On the 26th of December me and my eldest son dined at this restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Despite specifically requesting sangria with easy ice due to a sore throat, my glass arrived packed with ice, forcing me to manually remove it with a fork and transfer it to an empty wine glass on the table. When I brought this to the servers attention, he claimed to have ordered it to the bar with easy ice but offered no solution or attempt to correct the mistake. After receiving my 12 oz striploin, ordered medium well but served well done dry and chewy, I informed the server. His response was It s because you ordered it medium well... I explained the issue that this is why I ordered a striploin, (I always do) but it was so dry and chewy and overcooked that it was impossible for me to chew it And his nonchalant reply was, What would you like me to do? The server later offered to bring me a box, because he saw that 2/3 of the stake was still on the plate but I declined, noting that I couldnt take home something I couldnt chew To add to the disappointment, a to-go burger, intended for my other son who was working late, and wasn t able to join us, delivered home burned and blackened. It was disheartening for him to come home hungry, only to find a bitter and charred burger awaiting him. These missteps, combined with indifferent service, cast a shadow over what should have been a celebratory occasion. Regrettably, the overall bill amounted to $285 adding financial disappointment to an already underwhelming experience. So disappointed

Came for a birthday dinner, our server Saje was excellent! Around a 5-10 minute wait, we got the salmon, keg burgers, the top sirloin and some sliders. The French onion soup was more salty than expected, but not only did she take care of that, I was treated to a birthday slice of cake! Yum!

Snow Day but still got to enjoy our Dine Out Vancouver reservation and menu. Our server, Keith, was fantastic as well the supporting servers. The menu of dishes and wine were delicious. Parking: Despite the snow there were enough cleared areas to easily park.
