Last Saturday we tried this restaurant, friendly staff and the food is good. High recommend. A nice place here in Westwood plateau

New owners are cooking up a delicious menu of Japanese and Korean food. The chicken dinner set was more food than I could handle in one sitting. We also shared the rose tteokbokki, spicy agadashi tofu, tonkatsu meal, and crunch gogo roll. These all tasted amazing and fresh. They also have KFC on the menu!

The food was excellent, service was great and the prices and portions were exceptional. Awesome dinner

Used to be my go-to sushi place, until it got bought off my a new owner. It s closed almost 90% of the time and they only ever open on unpopular hours, and close mid day. there s almost no reasonable time to go.

My favourite sushi place in the area, the staff are so incredibly sweet and kind, and the quality of food is great and always fresh! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and has a lovely atmosphere, if you are in the area looking for somewhere to get sushi, I highly recommend this place <3

I wish Id taken pictures! Everything was amazing and looked just like the photos on the menu. The combos were so large we couldnt finish them. The staff were so lovely and brought us some complimentary items including miso to go with the rolls we took home! The food was served quickly and was all very fresh. I already recommended the restaurant to two people on the way home. Cant wait to come back! Vegetarian options: Variety of vegetarian rolls and vege options for the teriyaki combos / boxes Parking: Its in a shopping mall / district, so lots of free parking including spots right outside the restaurant. Lots of wheelchair spots around the lot too Wheelchair accessibility: Located in a shopping centre, so lots of parking and wheelchair spaces. Wide sidewalks. Restaurant is open and definitely wheelchair accessible. Didnt use the washroom, but if there was an issue there is an IGA and a Shoppers Drug Mart a few doors away. (I dont see why the bathroom wouldnt be accessible though)

The food is well prepared, and is priced decently. We had take out and the cooked food was still hot by the time we got home. The online ordering could use some improvements, but the staff were very helpful in ensuring any special requests were met. Thank you!

Disappointing experience, after I got home the meal I ordered for pick up was not the meal I ordered, was also missing ginger and wasabi!! Who eats Sushi without wasabi! This was the second time my order was not correct. With many Sushi restaurants now open in the Tri-Cities, I wont be returning. 2 stars because the sashimi was fresh and a good portion

We use to go here often for their tuna tataki roll. Now its a new owner and their menu is different. Would recommend the K-style chicken

I have be dinning here a fair bit in the past six months, and have enjoyed socializing with the staff and enjoying their delicious food. They are very accommodating and open to their guest customizing certain orders! I will continue to buy from them as I ve got nothing bad to report.

Its been a while since my last visit (maybe 3 years ago?) It was a very pleasant surprise to find out this restaurant has new owner, with new improved menu and clean, bright interior atmosphere. Service was prompt and attentive, food was delicious and fresh. I do not live nearby but definately will come again to check out other menu!

This sushi restaurant is one of the best in Coquitlam. The interior is very clean, food is delicious and fresh, comes out very fast and the staff is incredibly generous and nice. Treat them well and they will do the same for you! Will definitely make this place a regular occurrence.

We ate at the restaurant just before Christmas. I was impressed at the quality of the food. The chef sent over a complimentary appetizer and dessert. Just ordered now for our New Years Eve dinner. I would definitely recommend.

I believe they have undergone renovations and perhaps a shift in menu as well. My wife and I got take out for lunch and it was really fresh and delicious! In addition to our small $20 order they gave us a free edemamme with a hand written thank you on it. Top marks for the new O Sushi! Likely going to order again today for lunch :D

My husband and I had a really delicious dinner there tonight and enjoyed the lovely service and recommendations by our server. We got the Rocky Mountain roll with sauce on the side (photo) and the salmon teriyaki which was so good! At the end, they brought us these little balls of ice cream (on the house) that were heavenly and just finished the meal so nicely! Will definitely go back.

This is possibly the best sushi I have had. Just outstanding! The new owner has done a great remodel. Worth the trip.

O-sushi holds many memories for me and my family. So Im happy to say that the remodel has been amazing upgrade and more than exceeds the original in every way! From the food to the decor, the new O-sushi is amazing. Seriously amazingly friendly staff, delicious rolls, bentos, tempura ect! Ive never had better unagi in my life! Kid-friendliness: Classy and simple families should feel comfortable bringing kids in. Wheelchair accessibility: Small ramps leading from parking lot pavement up over the curb just to the right of O-sushi if your facing it. The door is heavy though so be warned.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we found out that O-Sushi had re-opened its doors. We have been back several times in the past few weeks and it is our FAVOURITE Sushi restaurant. The food is presented beautifully, and it all tastes amazing. The Bento boxes are To-Die-For, and the friendly service is superb. What more can I say? Welcome back O-Sushi........well be back this week...... and every week.....!!!!

Ordered at 1915 on weekday. They said 40 minutes waiting time. Then I tried to pick up at 19:55. They said it not ready yet. I take a seat at the front. After 15 minutes more, I asked them again. They said the food is already there for 10 minutes. What kind of service is that? They ready the food and know I am waiting. But they didnt told me and still let me waiting. Worse experience ever! Never back again!

Ordered take-out for the first time since new ownership and was very impressed with the whole experience. Friendly staff, generous portions, quality ingredients, all well presented. Arguably the best sushi in the tri-cities! We even recieved a complimentary order of the icecream tempura for dessert which were delicious! Will definitely be back again. :)

I ordered rolls and Gomae for pick up for the first time since this location opened up again with new management and was relieved when the food was above my expectations. Thank you for renovating and using all top quality ingredients. I believe this is the best quality sushi this side of Vancouver. I will be back soon.

Very awesome old school Asian restaurant. Friendly staff and cozy. Remember its a basic restaurant which is no fancy, but you enjoy it. Food are great and fresh. Prices are good and you enjoy what you order.

Great tasting sushi

MR Oh is a favourite and we feel OSushi is like a part of our local community fabric. The service is always great and the server is genuinely helpful and friendly for our pre-Covid dine-in and also for our pickup experiences!

In my 20 years of living in lower mainland I have never had sushi worse than this place. Any dish containing any kind of sashimi was not edible due to poor quality.

I ordered to pick up from there. The server was super nice, and helpful. They even gave me an extra side of rice, seaweed and lots of ginger! Deff recommend it to everyone!!!

I highly recommend the beef box its my go to I get it once or twice a week, really good service aswell :) The hangover roll is to die for

The sushi here is quite good, but the cleanliness or lack there of has always been a concern to me. The floor is never clean, but when I was there this week the floor was so dirty it was almost black and my shoes were sticking to it. I just don t think I can go back. I did raise it with the owner but he showed no recognition of understanding the severity of my concern or the issue. I mentioned it a second time and he just commented on what a busy day it had been. In an unprecedented health crisis, there is never a more pressing time for cleanliness and sanitary procedures. I found it quite unbelievable.

This place is a hidden gem hidden up in Westwood plateau.

Ordered through website, and when I went to pick up the restaurant was empty, but they didn t make my order said they forgot to. I waited 10 mins and got my food, no one said sorry. Went home and all of the rolls were falling apart, batter on tempura was thick and lumpy. Overall not great.

All foods are fresh and I recommend you this place when you want sushi or sashimi. Its price is reasonable. This is a Japanese restaurant located in West Plateau. The owner and staff are friendly and the owner and chef are trustworthy. Ask for a menu recommendation. The price is reasonable too.

Great service very friendly the owner knew exactly who I was even though I hadnt come in for a long time. I love how fresh the food is. We were happy with the portion sizes and the fish was fresh! The server got our order right and it quickly. We look forward to coming back soon!

Tasted great but rolls fell apart

Ordered sushi rolls enough to fill one party tray and all of the rolls broke loose. Ingredients did not taste fresh and there was a big bone in my tuna. Do not recommend at all.

We ordered Sashimi box. The portion is huge! It comes with miso soup, salad, and tempura. I have left over for lunch next day. Delicious! Thank you for the yummy food!

Gross........the veggie gyoza tasted like cardboard.......wont be returning to this restaurant again. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Order almost every weekend , and they are consistent , they consistently F%@! up the order , I like ordering here they are close I can grab some beer from Jaks maybe get some milk at the IGA but they always seam to screw something up, food is mediocre think 7-11, they do a great job packaging things for takeout but I have had too many screw ups considering we order online and they still manage to give the wrong items going to find another place to order from ill take my weekly bushiness elsewhere , i mean who doesnt know the difference between a Dynamite and a California roll .

Tasteless

ordered couple rolls, tuna and salmon were dried. the rolls werent even formed. tests dry and not fresh. sorry, its hard during the Covid. I tipped 20% for a takeout but at least pay attention on making foods.

Im a sushi foodie but this cheap sushi place also and has cheap quality and not fresh tuna- brown and odorous couldnt eat it. Also the sushi was not very cold but was almost warm. Turned me right off.

Decent food. Wish they added more vegetables in my teriyaki and packed things a bit different. A stack of 5 different Styrofoam containers wasnt very fun to drive with.

I think the O is actually a 0. That is my rating. Good sushi begins with good rice, and this restaurant did not have that. Probably the worse sushi I have had in the lower mainland.

This place used to be so much better. Ordered for takeout March 16 and the Gyoza had the texture of paste. Assorted tempura was crispy, however out of 8 pieces, only one was fish and 5 were yam. Dynamite rolls was not up to par. Rather disappointed.

Ive been going to O-Sushi in Coquitlam for several years now and I dont know why it didnt occur to me to write a review. From my third visit there, the head chef knew my name and provides me with excellent service. Its not the fanciest place, but its charming and the cost is cheap. The green dragon roll is especially good. Also, they have a stack of magazines that are replenished every month. So if Im there alone I love sipping my miso soup while flipping through magazines that are too self-indulgent to purchase on my own.

Every time I walk into this place, I get the warmest greetings. I go to many sushi restaurants, and this one is one of my favorites considering: prices, service, location and over atmosphere. I also love how they have magazines and newspaper galore so that one is sufficiently entertained while nourished. I highly recommend this place if you want an easy-going atmosphere with good rolls. I would however advise customers to get their custom rolls. The cooks do those types of rolls the best.

I ordered California roll, BC roll and yam roll, overall, it is OK but the meat inside yam roll is super hard like a rock, I got it at Sunday night around 6:30, maybe try to avoid that time or avoid yam roll.

The food here is hit or miss... when its good, its really good. But I have picked a couple orders that tasted like they had been sitting around all day. The staff is very friendly so I continue to support the business and hope they are having a good food day

Havent even tried the sushi, because we tried to call in our order from outside so we only had to go in once to pick up (disabled and exhausted), but we watched the employee talk/FaceTime on her cell phone instead of picking up our call, which just rang and rang. Seriously?

Eating there right now. Very impressed, very tasty king and red dragon roll. Unfortunately second time was not consistent and not great. Tried two more times and one time was good and the other time was terrible. I told my wife the sushi tasted off the last time, but she ate it anyway and was sick after.

This is our GO TO sushi place. They have a deep fried roll which tastes awesome as does the Epic Roll (also deep fried). Fresh and fast. It is a small place with a few tatami rooms and not a fancy décor but we love the sushi there!

Finally, a take out Sushi place that does not skimp on the soy sauce!

If you want to get sick, eat there. Day five after I had lunch there I still have very bad stomach cramps, heart burn and diarrhea. When I tried to complain to the owner all he could say was sorry, sorry and I have no idea if he could understand what I was saying.

California rolls are so good! I love it.

Great friendly service, didnt enjoy my sockeye salmon roll. Too small, looked sad. Rainbow roll was delicious but theyre better on a dynamite instead of a California roll. Just another place to go to. nothing too special.

The meals are cheap and the food is better then most other sushi places in the area. The service is generally good except when it gets super busy (nothing out of the ordinary) and I wouldnt recommend take-out because the food gets soggy in the take-out containers. I would recommend their sushi boxes which start from about $9, great option for lunch. The owner is also a super nice guy but hes quite quiet (a little tip: if youre a regular he might get a little extra sushi here and there). If youre looking for a super simple, cheap americanized sushi this is the place.

I miss this place so much! The sushi here is always YUMMY. Smells delicious, looks mouth-watering, tastes like heaven.
