Went to this restaurant several times in the past year and took notice that the owner was lacking with regard to customer interaction. Very unfriendly, curt and appeared to be uninterested in interaction with customers. I just put it down to cultural differences and choose to ignore it. Tonight he was at his worst. We seated ourselves which is normal for this particular restaurant and he brought our menus. Came back to take our orders and my sisters both ordered Canadian food which is part of their regular menu. He came back 5 minutes later and informed us that they were out of Canadian food. We all ordered Chinese food instead, no problem. We thought it was kind of funny that they were out of the whole Canadian section of menu choices but again no big deal. Our food was served by another employee and we commenced to eating our dinner. We were finishing up and my sister wanted to order a dessert and was waiting for someone to come back so she could order. The owner came to our table and put our bills on the table and never asked if we would like anything else and just walked away. Poor customer service but again we over looked this and proceeded to pay our bills. My eldest sister, who has some mobility problems asked my other sister to take her debit card and pay her bill. My sister was at the cash register for quite a while and came back to say the owner was having trouble with my other sister’s debit card and asked her to once again confirm her pin. My sister returned to the cash and once again entered the correct information and again the machine was not able to process her transaction. The owner became quite irate with my sister and told her she was wasting too much of his time. My sister was visibly upset and I gave her my credit card to pay for all of our transactions. Once again the owner had trouble processing my card. I approached the counter to inquire about what was going wrong and commented to the owner that this was not the first time I had experienced trouble with their machine as I had had similar problems at his restaurant on other occasions. He became quite belligerent and spoke in a rude manner and tone of voice. Unfortunately I couldn’t understand exactly what he was saying but could tell he was upset. I have never seen a owner act in such a manner towards paying customers. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and all three of us have no plans on ever returning to this restaurant again.
Want to order takeout. There was only one table occupied. The person on the counter was very unfriendly. No greeting, flat face, he was standing in front of pile of menus, still pointed me to the corner for the menu. He was totally not interested in doing business.

Truly terrible food. If you get a combo, basically every dish is breaded and deep fried. The pork, the chicken, the shrimp, all breaded. They give you the smallest amount of meat they can get away with, just caked in batter. If you get take out, it will be soggy, goopy, saucy mush. So gross. Only thing that wasn't breaded were the ribs, and they were truly pathetic. Small portions. Not good
Order a dragon platter and deluxe wonton soup yesterday.. everything was icy cold.. they have really changed a lot.. calls down for pork chop dinner. Orders it.. they calls back no pork chops.. like really what is happening to the place.. 👎🏻

Cozy old world feel. Large menu of both Canadian and Chinese food. The wonton soup was the best I've ever had. Large portions for combo plates most under 10$ extremely reasonable. Steak pork chops clubhouse sandwiches and allot more. Decor somewhat dated. But the place has been around since before I was born. Still cozy and clean. Service was decent. Desserts come with most of the candain menu kind of wish they came with the combo plates aswell. All round 5 stars one of the best experances I've had in the area eating this far.and they do do takeout.
Custom service is the worst food is not good the person that pick the phone is rude and we have to make 3 call he keeps hangouts my call is not good

It must have been 10 yrs since Ive been to the Dragon. The restaurant is a little dated, could you a little tlc.but it was clean. Now the food.. The homemade onion rings were absolutely delicious! And the portion size was awesome! They also served this before our main meal without asking! The way an appetizer should be served! Our main meal was delicious. It was hot, fresh, and well plated. The service was really good. The young man checked on us 3 times. Bill was less than $50! Will definitely be going back! Vegetarian options: Their menu has rice. vegetable dishes that you can have without meat. Chow Mein, vegetables & noodle dishes, etc. Plus Canadian items like onion rings, fries.. Kid-friendliness: They have a little guy there. Only 3 years.. he comes out to say hi & bye. Super cute..

Horrible, rude, very unpleasant people to deal with. Made me feel like I was bothering them to place my order. Nobody speaks English. And there was a little boy absolutely running amok in the restaurant, disturbing people eating, or waiting for their food. I cannot believe how upset they seemed just for asking for plastic utensils. I would not recommend this place if it was the last place in town.

Ordered chow mein but it wasn t actually chow mein. I tried to reorder and got told not my problem by the waiter. I got through to him in the end and didn t have to pay for a meal I wouldn t of even eaten. Very unprofessional environment and I wouldn t recommend.
The young Asian guy that served us was unfriendly, their pork chops were just fast fry chop that was rubbery,(I was with a senior and he couldnt even cut it) Their asian platters wasnt good and wasnt much of a serving. They did tho make a garlic pork bites, I believe it was, that was fantastic.

Still seems to be the best Chinese food in town. However, I do not understand the cabbage dish they call chow mein. Where are the bean sprouts? It seems to be the way it is made here, and at least it tastes good, but it is no chow mein Today it was closed after the open time. It was very disappointing because I was on a mission to get Chinese food for a pregnant woman at all costs.

My favorite chinese food restaurant in Corner Brook. Great food, both quantity and quality for a decent price. The location is clean and well lit with good service. I have had consistent quality of service and food every time I have eaten here and find that I feel good about spending time and money here!

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time the other day, and we LOVED the food! He ordered the Shang Hai Noodles, and I had the Deluxe WonTon Soup. As avid lovers of both homemade and authentic Asian Cusine, we thoroughly enjoyed the freshness, fullness, and flavor of the dishes we ordered. The Deluxe WonTon Soup was hot and tasty, lots of meat, noodles, and veggies. The Shang Hai Noodles were perfectly cooked, fresh sliced veggies, and coated with with a warm scrumptious sauce. We were greeted, seated, and had our orders placed within 10 minutes of entering the restaurant - and had our food within 10 minutes of ordering. Our server was kind, very professional and brought us our bill as we finished so we could prepare our payment before we went up to the counter to pay. Overall, we both thought The Dragon Restaurant was a great spot and was a perfect example of Adian cusine and culture. Well DEFINITELY be eating here again!

So disappointed with the food! After reading all good reviews, we decided to go to Dragon for take out. First, warning sign was a really bad, greasy, tobacco smell when entering the restaurant. I ordered food and asked the waitress about the vegetables in it. So, fast forward to the aftermath. Singapore noodles didnt contain vegetables that she said it will be in it, color of the dish was so artificial and that is not all. Coconut Cream Pie ( we bought the whole one) was a huge disaster! I dont know why they have it on the menu if something containing watery based tasteless pudding , covered with cream from the bag (powder) and sprinkled with modest amount of coconut. I had to return back for cutlery even after I said that we want take out. Really and truly the nightmare!

Coming from someone who s had authentic Chinese food and does not live in NL, the food was OK. Charged a lot for steamed rice. Why they get one star is because of the awful service. Weird seeing all these reviews on friendly service, maybe it was just the one guy we got, but he didnt even say anything half the time and just put down the plates and left. He also gave us the bill while we were still eating and hadnt asked for it. So rude. Hate this place. Made us all feel uncomfortable.

We went in for the first time in weeks to pick up a cheque. A younger fellow behind the counter looked at my mother and asked her why she stole his phone, and that she had been in a few days before. After saying he must be mistaken and that she never took anything, he said he remembered her and she stole his phone and a large portion of food before pointing at her and taking to an older man in Chinese. My mother has been coming there for over 40 years, never stolen anything and always tipped generously. She loved that restaurant since childhood and now doesnt want to go back because she was accused of falsehoods. She has witness accounts and alibis that she was in Academy Canada during the accused time. Terrible terrible experience and a very rude, unprofessional visit.
