Service was excellent, pan fried cod was also excellent. However, the French fries were absolutely terrible. They were over cooked and tasted as if they were left in the steamer for an extended period of time before serving. Another issue was the absence of mashed potatoes on the menu.
It was really good. I had the calamari and club sandwich with fries. Gravy was perfect. Wait staff was great. Food was pipping hot, fresh, and fast. I wasn't expecting to be disappointed, but another restaurant in the city never disappoints me but also never impresses me..... Brockway's did. I also heard another patron say "this was incredible". Next visit I'm having the fish tacos. I'm very specific on fish tacos. So stay tuned 😜
Just got in town and was looking for a relatively healthy meal, as in not fried. Decided on their stir fry - very disappointing. The vegetables were limp and the carrots were shredded, not julienned liked the peppers; my one piece of broccoli still had a nice bite to it though. We got two orders with two different sauces and couldn't tell them apart. While not wanting fried food the meal instead was oily. We enjoy a good stir fry quite regularly but this was not one of them. At $48, taxes in, this was not a cheap meal and it should have been of much better quality.
We waited for 45 minutes before a server came over to us. Meanwhile we watched multiple groups come in after us, had their orders taken, and got served their food. When we finally had our orders taken the food came out fairly quickly and was delicious unfortunately waiting 45 minutes left a sour taste in our mouth. I don't think I will be back.
I have been here a few times, but I went today (07/014/2024) and the food has definitely improved, good price good variety and portions, staff was really nice and it has a great view of cornerbrook, the meals we got were very good, nothing to complain about at all.
Stopped in for lunch on the way to PAB. Had the fish chowder and split a brisket ciabatta sandwich. Exceptional service. Excellent food. Great view. Very reasonable prices. Hard to beat that combination!
DELICIOUS LUNCH! We ordered the Fish and chips. Best we’ve ever had! Plus, the Blueberry bread pudding with bourbon sauce and ice cream! All were absolutely delicious. Our server, Loretta was super attentive. She made the experience perfect. She brought out the food all at the same time and brought us anything we asked for. This was by far the highlight of my trip across NL. Family owned and run, I was greeted by people who were kind, friendly, and attentive. I was clearly looking like I'd been through the ringer after traveling from St. John's to Corner Brook with a baby 2 hours past his bedtime and sick to boot......they had zero judgement and spoke to me about their own family and made me feel like I've know them my entire life. The food was absolutely phenomenal and so fresh! The fish was cooked to perfection, the batter was so light and crispy, and the cesar salad was one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of having! The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had an awesome view of the city, The pictures don't do it justice. I'll be recommending this place to everyone and anyone visiting or traveling through the Corner Brook area!

A very relaxed atmosphere, you are made to feel very welcomed here. The food was very good and the servers attended to all our needs and kept checking back with us.
We went here for supper, I chose the BLT because it sounded good. On the menu it says crispy bacon but I received grey slimy bacon. To say it was disgusting was an understatement... Fries were good at least. I did ask for the bacon to be re done, they sent 3 slices of bacon which were cooked longer than the first ones. Unfortunately it was very greasy and not crispy at all. The use of mayo instead of miracle whip also made the sandwich very bland. Do not order the BLT.

Waited close to an hour and a half to receive our meals. Waitress did not come to check on us once. Bathroom facilities were dirty. Beautiful view of the city but will not be returning.

Our group of 6 all loved the Fish and Chips. Both the fish and fries were very great..light and crispy fish batter..served hot and homemade fries to perfection. Very hearty portions. Service was efficient.
The fish was crispy and lightly battered, cooked perfectly on the inside, that I loved. I gave 4 stars because the fish had too much grease, maybe could have been drained a bit more, but it was hot when it came to our table! The fries were blackened, not crispy and golden with soft interior.
The view is amazing and the value is good.
One of the most beautiful spots in the city to eat. The wine list was for sure lacking but made up for it with the food quality and taste. The fellow who served us was very personable, attentive, and kind. Shouldnt disappoint.
Great restaurant right in the hotel! The most amazing view of Corner Brook, mountains and all! Service was always quick, and the staff were very kind. Will always pop in when Im in town again.

Limited burger selection. Either half pound or childrens size. Ordered a burger and fries from childrens menu. It was absolutely flavorless. Cheap frozen patties. Wish I had ordered the adult version to see if it was homemade or perhaps double the mass produced frozen. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan on a bun. It was ok. French fries are good. Price would have been acceptable if quality was there. Waitress took quite awhile to seat us and food took a long time to arrive I doubt that I will go back.

Great restaurant. The staff are just the sweetest. We sat in a booth by the window to take in a beautiful view of The Bay of Islands. The constant, repetitive and loud noises from the VLD machines was almost unbearable. I realise they are revenue for a business, but a better location would be optimal.
Clean restaurant, it was extremely cold. I am a person that wears shorts outside, year round including the coldest of winter days in Ontario and this place, although I wasn t frozen, had me thinking that it was extremely cold for a restaurant. Aside from that, the food took an extremely long time to arrive for bar type food but was delicious. Our server Victoria was incredible. This restaurant is right inside the Quality Inn so it was a convenient dine in. Would definitely rent a room there and eat there again if we ever travel back to Corner Brook Newfoundland.

Excellent hot turkey sandwich, pan fried cod, and BLT sandwiches. We also had delicious French fries, poutine and veggies here. The view is exceptional and highly recommended. The staff were terrific.

The food was way too much fries. Staff was very good. There was a bunch of drinking people and they were extremely loud and obnoxious. Only sandwiches and appetitizers. No full dinner plates. Maybe would have enjoyed it more if it wasnt so noisy.

We ate here 2 nights in a row while staying at the hotel. Food was delicious both times and the service was excellent. Highly recommend it - might want to make a reservation in peak season because it isnt a large place
New restaurant with new ownership. Great staff, very friendly. Inside the Quality Inn hotel but frequented by local residents as well. Definitely a must try. Support local!!
Too long waiting for meal & never got right meal but I ate half cause I was hungry. Mussels were good but in too much juice
Wait was too long for food, 20 mins for app and another 30 for our meal! Burger was chewy, not tender. Kids enjoyed mac and cheese.
Still expensive for a traditional breakfast which was good but not out of the ordinary either. The coffee is special. ($3) Luckily I had cash with me, because we had to pay in cash due to an internet connection problem, but we were only told this little detail at the very end. Maybe I just had bad timing and yet, normally, Im really not picky. For my part, I say for my part, there will be no next time, I will rather opt to have breakfast elsewhere. *The view of Corner Brook was beautiful and at 7am in the morning it was very peaceful.

Garbage service and will never return. People coming in after you get served faster and get their food before you do. Not friendly staff. They also cater to the gamblers coming to the counter to get their cash as well. Would give 0 stars if possible.
Incredible views, lovely pan fried cod. One of my favorite places for a nice meal.
We had good service, our waitress was lovely. The beer selection on tap was good. My partner is from away, he and I both tried the fish and chips and I had to assure him this was not the standard of fish and chips to be had in Newfoundland. The chips were excellent, the batter on the bottom of our fish was gooey, and the inside was very wet. Took it as leftovers to microwave at home, likely wont go again.
French onion soup was delicious!! Hot and very tasty. The view is the huge draw here especially this time of the year. Nice atmosphere and upgraded in the past few years.

We had a reservation for 12 people. Arrived and was seated. Ignored for 15 minutes before took a drink order. Then 20 minutes to get that. Finally took order waited again! Got some appetizers. Watched as 6-10 tables got served their meals that arrived after us. We had a show to go to and couldnt wait any longer finally after 1.5 hours we had to leave couldnt wait any longer and tired of being ignored. One of my friends spoke to our waitress who said, I cant help you I only work here!! And then said to her customer, my friend, Im not keeping you here!! Unreal. We all left, my husband and another man with us are diabetics and needed to eat and take medication. So if I could give them a -10 I would, worst service ever!!

Staying at the Quality inn, my first and last visit. Service was decent. But nothing much on the Cod for me to go back. Menu is very basic...nice look of the city from the restaurant.
