Great food and service. Apps were on the table in less than 5 minutes and the place was nearly full.
Our dinner for 4 adults was fantastic with 4 different excellent meals, served quick, and very friendly staff. We will be back.
The Shipyard has a great reputation for its food and all the reviews we read are correct. The food here is very good and it's nice and hot. The service is slow and I mean dead slow. It took an hour from when we ordered to get our Fish and Chips and a Quesadilla. It was good but I'm not sure it was worth that long of a wait. If you are in a hurry this is not your place. But keep in mind the food is good.
Where to begin, firstly I’d like to say the worst service I have ever had. We had onions rings as an app once our waitress brought them to us she gave us no plates or utensils and left, she watched us from a distance try to eat off napkins which is wild that small plates wouldn’t be brought out with the dish, a while later our food was brought out and that was the last time we seen her. We waited for almost an hour after eating for someone to come by which she never did we had to walk up to the front and request out bill. Secondly the food was atrocious. I had the Lobster Mac N cheese I wish I could say it was good, the lobster tasted rancid even green right on top of dish, now I know sometimes the tail can have some colour from the stuff inside the lobster shell but this wasn’t the case, this tasted so bad that it left a gross taste in your mouth, then the sauce split while the dish sat there. I attached pictures so you can see green lobster and naked noodles and a pool of sauce/water due to sauce splitting. I never had such a bad culinary experience in my life and I have been in the industry for over a decade. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. It’s a shame cause CB needs more places like this.
First time here. Food was absolutely delicious. I had steak sandwich, it was amazing. The other 4 people with me really enjoyed their meals as well. Service was excellent ( which is really hard to get these days ) It took about an hour to get our food, but we were told that from the get go. It was a busy Saturday evening , but it was definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to go back again :)
Nice little restaurant in the Millbrook Mall. Came here on Thursday at about 1:30 PM and the place was about half full. The only downside here is that the service was a little slow. Was nice and friendly and it was a good atmosphere in the restaurant. Background music was by Ivan Giles. I suspect might be a local Newfoundland artist, and if you like that kind of music it’s great. If not, you can get on your last nerve. LOL. We ordered codfish and chips, a side order of poutine, and a Caesar salad to share. All the food was delicious and there was also marked vinegar for the chips. Portion sizes were generous, and we had food left over. I recommend this place. One star down for the slow service.
We're so glad we came here for dinner. Very generous portions. I had the roast beef dinner and it was delicious (a little too much fat on the ends, but some prefer this). My sister had the quesadillas and fries (fries are amazing!) and my niece the fettuccine (garlic bread was awesome). Service was great. One of the managers took the time to chat with us. All around good experience. We highly recommend.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, feels like family taking care of you. The shipwreck cocktail (Left) wasn't too sweet and went down smooth. The sunset sangria was delicious with dragon fruit for the fruit. The onion rings are homemade with the same batter used for their fish. Their cod fish and chips has a wonderful portion for their fish. The jalapeno steak sandwich was smoky with the perfect toasted garlic bread and tasty sweet potatoes fries. The strawberry pecan salad had fresh produce and a delicious balsamic vinaigrette with the best garlic bread that is light and crunchy. The chicken quesadillas were stuffed to the brim and filling. The chocolate brownie with ice cream and whipped cream was divine and finished off the meal perfectly.
It was my first time there, and I was part of a group of 20. Everything and everyone was taken care of without any fuss. The young lady who served us was spot on.
Great food and service. Im a regular now.
It took over an half hour to get our meal. Its located in a mall which makes it hard to find from the street.
6 of us and all were happy with flavour , value and size of meal. Interior design is really nice . It was very busy and still no big wait for service or food. Our waiter was really good as well . Dont miss if you are near.
Great meal. Quality food at affordable prices. Definitely will be back.
Absolutely amazing service and amazing food. Hands down best spot in town
Nice service and decent food. Staffs are amazing
Walked in on a weekday evening and felt completely neglected and ignored by the staff. We were waiting for so long before they finally came to us, and then had to wait another half hour more. Throughout the whole time, we were not acknowledged at all. Felt bad for the kids coz they were super hungry and waiting. Never tried the food and left on the spot as we would never dine in a restaurant with dissatisfying service like this.
Great spot to eat. Nice to see some good sit down and relax restaurants in Corner Brook.
Excellent place for a big breakfast! Friendly, quick, and good price to start the day with. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free toast!
Parking: Food was horrible They lost 10 customers tonight...Never going back. Parking space
Such an amazing restaurant for being on the rock! Matches restaurants off the rock for quality. For being new to the area the staff are friendly, and service is good! They deal with rude customers in a very professional manner and even when busy (which you should expect longer service time this is not a McDonalds) food and staff are excellent! I highly recommend for anyone wanting a good experience, this place can only go up from here! 10/10! Give me more Lobster rolls please!!!
Food was amazing, highly recommend the maple glazed salmon and the kids can t wait to go back for more chicken Alfredo! Our waitress was very attentive and patient with our big family. Awesome food, good atmosphere and wonderful staff. Definitely will be returning.
Great service, great food! Highly recommend checking it out if you re in the area :)
Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere! A little pricey! They have some neat Newfie dishes!!
Amazing food, awesome people, highly recommend. Can t wait to go back!!
Three of us decided to eat at The Shipyard Eatery and as it is Friday, quite busy. We had the Rueben with Fries, hot Turkey Dinner, and a traditional burger and onion rings. The onion rings were oversalted so much that were difficult to eat. The hot turkey dinner was not hot and the gravy so so. The burger was good, the Rueben sandwich was good but the beef gravy needs a totally revamping. Service was abit disorganized as we had to keep asking for things that had already been ordered. Personally, I dont like eating on wooden boards as I question whether or not they can adequately sanitized. Corner Brook definitely needs a new eatery and hopefully, things will improve at The Shipyard and we will give it another try.
Great food, cooked in house and served quickly with generous portions!! Our group had a large selection on the menu and all was great, breakfast skillet was cooked well, and was enough to share. Fish and chips came very crispy and excellent in house fry s. bruschetta burger was creative, something I haven t seen at other establishments and tasted delightful. Excited to return and try the rest of the menu. Kid-friendliness: Appropriate meals for children and Picky eaters. poutines, chicken tenders, etc.
Man, this place is so needed in Corner Brook. We had lunch of the Lobster Roll and Smash Burger with Shrimp. Both are really tasty. Will be back to eat here when we get back to the Rock. Nice Job Reese and all the staff. Great spot
The whole experience was wonderful right from the moment we walked into the restaurant when our server (owners son in law) was so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious (quesidillas & homemade fries) and the menu selection was large. The restaurant was very clean, especially the bathrooms. We would highly recommend eating here.
I recently heard about The Shipyard Eatery back in my hometown and later found out that my husband grew up in the same neighborhood as the chef. We both enjoyed our meals - I had the Turkey Club House Sandwich, and my husband had the Glazed Salmon Dinner. Both dishes were excellent, and we plan to return next week with my parents. Such a small world
Really nice place, well decorated. Friendly staff and the food was fantastic. We had the Garlic Shrimp Burger, fries and gravy. 2nd order was a Lobster Roll and ceaser salad. Really awesome food!! We will be back...
What a wonderful new addition to the Corner Brook dining scene. The Shipyard has just upped the family dinning game. We had the Seafood Penne and Steak Fajitas both were awesome and they don t skimp on portions. A very classy restaurant without the high end price.
Great food and service. The fish and chips were delicious and the portions were big!
Beautiful restaurant. Good food. Best bang for your buck for sure. Highly recommend Food : 5/5
