Such a kind waitress and the clubhouse sandwich was the best Ive ever had, it was fresh meat not sliced deli meat. Their fries, dressing and gravy was so good(only problem was I could not eat all of it lol). BF had a poutine with dressing added and loved it just couldnt finish it, their serving sizes are definitely more than enough.

We had ordered and ate in today3 × 2 piece fish and chips with dressing and gravy. It was awesome, my oldest who is here in Corner Brook for university said they are coming back with friends. We couldnt finish it all had to get take away plates.

This place is amazing. I have eaten here a few times and everything is so good. My most favourite is the butter chicken. Kid-friendliness: Very mannerly and polite with calm surroundings

The food at this place is beyond amazing. It is worth every penny. The atmosphere is nice and quaint and the server is excellent. Good to have a little chat with and joke with. If you have not tried this yet i would recommend it to one and all. The wife had the butter chicken and it is the best she had is over 20 years since living in BC and she is after eating alot of it rich across the island. Hat goes off to the cooks.

It is what the names says, Newfie comfort food. My husband said the burger was excellent, I had the Newfoundlander Poutine and we were both happy. Food quality was excellent and the portions are generous. Service was fast and friendly

First time trying the food. I ordered the double beast burger and made my side a salt beef poutine. I kindly asked them to be generous on the salt beef. Boy! Did they deliver! There was so much salt beef it was delicious! The burger was perfectly charred and cooked. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area looking for a hearty meal.

We traveled 1200+ miles, from the Thousand Islands in New York, to visit family and you can imagine we have eaten at several restaurants along the way. Newfoundland Comfort Food was by far the best food and service. The portions are massive and if you walk away hungry then you just weren t trying. The service was amazing and the staff was very sociable. I ve planned my next stops for trips to come, that s for sure.

Second time ordering fries hamburger meat and gravy and the fries are never cooked. Barely any hamburger meat.

We needed to get food quickly and when we asked they were very helpful and got us some poutine in no time. It was delicious, too. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite places when doing an Atlantic Canada Fish and Chips tour. So grateful for the recommendation from the Irving waitress in Deer lake. She said a must stop and Newfoundland comfort food didnt disappoint. By far out of all the items we tried, the fish and chips was my favorite. Stopped in again on the way back to the boat. Parking: Luckily found an open spot outside the restaurant.

Stopped in on Saturday after going for the first ride of the year on our bikes. They had a special Double Bacon Cheese burger with fries and a drink which I ordered it was a homemade delight. I could not even finish the whole plate of fries very generous portions. The wife had the fish and chips and was very happy with the food and the portions. Do yourself a favor and check this place out your tastebuds will thank you.

Ordered 2pc fish and chips w/sm gravy for $27.. total waste of money! Forgot the coleslaw. Half the fries are burnt and the other half are not cooked. I could cook a whole other meal with the grease on the fish and the tiny squeeze packs of tartar sauce are disgusting, couldnt eat any of it. They should be making tartar sauce.. It was good last year when I ordered, dont know what happened, but will not be ordering here again. They also had a plug in heater for heat lol place was completely empty on a Friday night, wonder why...

Amazing food. I had the bbq burger and my husband had the rib burger. Both were delicious. We shared a fries and got a xl not knowing it would be about 3 portions of fries. We did not finish them. We had the BBQ chicken wraps to start and they were quite flavourful, we would get these and try something else another time for sure. They had a high chair avaliable and were even nice enough to warm up the food we brought for the baby. Wish the place was larger and set up more for dine in, there are some tables but lots of delivery drivers in and out.

I love their bbq, burgers and fish. Their fries have been hit (deliciously golden) and miss (borderline over cooked and greasy). Wont stop me from returning though.

Food is not good, the fries in my poutine have a gross taste on them, but the rest hardly has any flavour.

Ordered a poutine and i have to say it was the worst i ever had couldnt even eat half of it and threw the rest in the garage. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The food was good, the service was over the top from the girl who answered the phone to the cashier who rang in my order to the cook who passed my order to me. Your service is 2nd to none.

Good classic bbq style place. Their homemade BBQ sauce is for real. Just changed their menu, its huge now, and includes salad and other new things. If youre looking for bbq style, fried, or otherwise super filling stuff, definitely a good spot. Just walk on up to the counter and theyll bring the food to your table after you order and pay. Recommend the rib sandwich, and the feast for one.

Had wings and ceasar salad, wings were tough and absolutely no flavor, just dipped in mild Buffalo sauce. The new chicken dinner was also discussing, chicken was again tough like rubber and they put it right on top of the fries!!! Ever hear of foil wrap??? And do not put salad in the same bag as the hot food!!! Last time I will eat here. Had similar experiences in the past!!!

I had the smoked rib sandwich and my partner had the Brie chicken sandwich - both fantastic!! Rob sandwich was PACKED with flavour. I love the paste of Newfoundland!

Asked if they made fried fish (no breading) because one in our party is gluten free. They do not. That s fine. No problem. Ordered a Caesar Salad instead. Couldn t get chicken with it because it, too, was breaded. No problem, just the Caesar is fine. All of this was accompanied by a I can t eat bread, statement. The Caesar Salad that came to us was full of croutons. As it was takeout, this discovery was not made until the product was home.

Underwhelming and overpriced. Quality is very low. Makes frequent order mistakes and does little to compensate for it. Slow.

I ordered a cod burger and fish cakes, they were both too fried. The burger was the worst - a deep fried fish was broken in half and stuff inside the buns. Vegetarian options: None Dietary restrictions: Nothing I could find for my dietary restrictions.

Been in corner brook for ten days and ordered three times from this place. The food was just delicious!! The rib meal so so tender, juicy and flavourful!! The staff was super friendly and polite. Will miss this place when Im back to Manitoba, but will be back again one day and definitely will be eating at comfort food once again. Keep up the great cooking!!!!!

I love fish and chips, and was a bit disappointed when I couldnt find a good fish and chips restaurant in Newfoundland after 2 weeks touring until I hit Newfoundland Comfort in Corner Brook; plus they used cod fish not haddock! The ribs were delicious too...2 thumbs up for both.

Very fast very tasty overall I enjoyed it and would come again delicious.

Firstly, I would like to say that I did not know that this restaurant changed ownership. Secondly, we had eaten at Newfoundland Comfort Food since it was in the food truck and the food was always top quality, delicious food. We have eaten several dishes, many times previous. We always have given it rave reviews, but not any more! The food came out in a basket, not a plate. Never had fish and chips in a basket before! The fries were full of salt (worse than McDonalds), and we dont eat salt and can add our own if we wanted it, thanks! Fries would never come out salted before! We did not complain at first and ate the food, but it was not enjoyable and a total disappointment! But, after eating here several times before, we could not leave without expressing our distaste. Nothing could have prepared us for this experience! For the price, the pieces of fish were small and tasteless and soggy! The battered fish used to be decent pieces and crispy batter that stayed together. This fish did not and in the basket there was no way to cut it anyways! It just all broke apart! House salad was good and unchanged. We did discuss the issue to the staff, who stood there in front of us telling us no one else had a problem with the fries and that the food is the best here. Apparently, one guy was the owner/manager. Correction! The food WAS great here, but not any more! Expensive and poor quality! It is no longer Newfoundland Comfort Food! I suggest a name change and motto change! We came hungry and left unhappy! We wont be back, even if you promised us a free replacement fish and chips! Dietary restrictions: Fries should not be pre salted! It is not McDonalds and there is a salt shaker at the tables if people want to add it. We dont use salt and lots of people dont

This is the second poutine i got this week from here and the fries are not cooked. I paid all this money for raw fries. Not impressed.

In corner brook for couple days and was really craving a burger was ready to go to another chain restaurant in the city and spend over $25 but came across this little Gem of a spot and boy did it ever please every craving I had. The fest for one was by far the best bang for the buck I could find. Delicious tasty burger and tasty mash potatoes with cheese gravy and bacon . What can go wrong with that and to top It all off deep fried Oreos for dessert

Very friendly and great service

Was there for a Wing Wednesday where theyre 1.49 each, but they dont tell you they make you pay for sauce. We didnt understand why our bill was higher than it shouldve been and not wanting to argue we just shrugged it off. When speaking to others whove been there they told us they charge extra for sauce per wing. Which is so stupid in my opinion but anyway, the hot sauce is good, the bbq sauce isnt a typical Normal bbq sauce and I didnt really enjoy it. Had a couple burgers at different times and they were good, nothing much else to say other than theyre good, nothing to bawl over. The fries are okay, typical home fries and my hubs had the poutine which I tasted and didnt really like but thats just me too, he really liked it.

Went out for supper with a small group of girlfriends. We had a fantastic time. The food was great and the lady who took care of us, Bailey I think she said her name was.... was amazing. Great customer service. A fun, friendly atmosphere. Thank goodness they werent put off by the ridiculous amount of laughter they had to endure while we were there. Well definitely be back!

We were having a rough day. My mother wasnt feeling well and was not in the mood to cook - I suggested that we order take out, but we werent in the mood for anything we usually order, so I went on a search and I found multiple posts on Facebook claiming this restaurant was really good. So I decided to give this one a try. We ordered: Smoked Rib Poutine bbq chicken taquitos Mac and cheese bites Double Bacon Beast (Double bacon, patty cheese burger) Fried Cupcakes Chilli cheese fries Mozilla (Mozza burger) The smoked rib Poutine is amazing, you can really taste the smoke in the rib, the sweetness of the sauce and the bitter gravy taste makes it a match made in heaven. BBQ Chicken Taquitos: This was my first time ever trying Taquitos - The taquitos were super big, crispy and filling. After every bite I just wanted more and more, an addictive paradise. The sweet barbecue sauce is amazing, I wish they had a spicy version Mac & Cheese Bites: Delicious Mac and cheese wrapped in a crispy batter - a simple yet delicious appetizer. Double Bacon Beast: Oh boy, do we have a lot to say about this one. For years my mother has been wanting a baconator from Wendys and the only way she could get one is when my brother comes home from Nova Scotia.. The Baconator was her favorite burger until she tried this masterpiece, she said and I quote This burger is better than the Baconator, 10/10 Now she doesnt have to wait so long for a Baconator :) Fried Cupcakes: The concept of fried everything to my eyes is pleasing to see. I think this is the first restaurant in Corner Brook to offer a deep fried dessert menu, The fried cupcakes were kind of tasteless and not sweet at all, to me. The sauce theyve used, the sweet strawberry sauce has got to be the crown of this dessert. Chilli Cheese Fries: an iconic fry dish done to perfection by Newfoundland Comfort Food, Not the best in my opinion but it was good! Mozilla: Mouth-watering goodness! A Mozza burger with Mozza sticks!!! A match made in heaven yet again. All in all with the two of us we give Newfoundland Comfort Food a 4.5 (We will be choosing five star) star rating! We will be going there again.

27 dollars for a poutine , hot dog and can of coke but never got the drink. 4 times going here and they messed it up everytime. Wont be returning.

Really need to give this place another go I think. Chilli cheese fries were ok. Missing a lot of flavor. I added some salt and pepper and hot sauce after a couple bites. Maybe needs more chilli powder and seasoning. The bys seem right on in the kitchen but tables were messy while I was waiting. There will be a next time, Im hoping for a little better of an experience though.

Solid burger & fries - had the Maple Chili Rib Burger - patty was pretty good, but the rib meat stole the show. Tender and tasty! Prices are affordable as well. Great spot!

The food was excellent. The service needs alot of work. The girl at the counter spent more time socializing in the back with the cooks than tending to the customers.

My last day in Newfoundland and I stopped here for supper and had a jigs dinner poutine for the first time, it was absolutely delicious. If you visit Newfoundland sometime and youre in Corner Brook, I would highly recommend you go there a check it out.

Called close to 30 times and they refused to answer the phone when I know they were not busy as I picked up my order and there was only one table occupied. Picked my order, and they packed only half my order. They they suggested I drive back to get the rest of the order until I argued they deliver it. This is the second and last time they screw me over. They will not get any of my business again regardless of how good the food is. They are unreliable and unprofessional.

On October 15, me and my fiancé and son went there for supper and I had the sweet chilli Thai bites and got food poisoning. My guess is the chicken was under cooked. Don t recommend eating here.

This is a great place to get some nice feeling and great tasting comfort food in Corner Brook. I visited here twice on my trip to Corner Brook, NFL and it was great. The food tasted amazing and the portion sizes are good. The only thing that was not great was the time it took to get my food. Twice I had to wait over 20-25 minutes for a simple order. Would still recommend. I had their poutine and their fish and chips and both tasted great.

Had the bacon beast burger. Was OK at best. Patty was dry and overcooked, and extremely tough around the edges. Basic bland fries, with some packaged beef gravy. Will not be a repeat customer.

Now that is a tasty burger!

Ordered the pub basket I think, everything was ok tasting but the mozza sticks had no cheese it in the middle pretty disappointed, as mozza sticks are my favorite.
