From the moment we stepped into this restaurant, we knew we were in for something special. Nestled on a quiet corner across from the water, the place exudes a cozy and welcoming warmth, a reflection of the wonderful owners who make you feel like family from the first greeting. They are some of the kindest people weve had the pleasure of meeting. Every dish burst with flavor and was so delicious. They have a great selection of vegetrian dishes, which we really appreciated. One of the best meals weve had in a very long time and its definitely become one of our favourite restaurants. Also, the cocktails were out of this world! The dessert was a sweet finale that didn t disappoint. The Peanut Butter Chococale Cheesecake was decadent without being heavy, the perfect end to an already spectacular meal. Overall, this restaurant isn t just a place to eat it s an experience shaped by amazing food and even more incredible people. If you re looking for a place where you ll feel right at home and leave with a smile on your face, this is it. A wonderful evening from start to finish. Food was amazing and flavourful. We had escargot to start they were tender and well seasoned in an amazing asiago blue cheese sauce. I chose the pan seared scallops cooked to perfection and melted like butter. They were accompanied by a light and bright ginger carrot puree . I added a ceaser salad with home made dressing, huge flakes of parmesan and crispy bacon on a bed of fresh romaine. I also sampled one of their signature cocktails The Blushing Sheep which was delicious with a hint of floral notes and a gorgeous pink hue! The service was top notch. We felt welcomed and taken care of from the moment we stepped inside! It was our first visit but definitely not our last!

Wow! This place was an absolute shocker! I had the chicken Marsala, it was absolutely amazing, my partner had the burger, everything was so delicious, the flavour was perhaps the best I have ever experienced, anywhere in the world! This restaurant puts this out of the way town, as a must visit! You have to eat here!

This is an amazing restaurant. The food is top notch, there is an excellent selection of local craft beer, and the service is outstanding! The owner himself seated and served us, he is so friendly and passionate about giving his guests a wonderful experience. Cant wait to go back!

Had a family reunion/celebration last weekend at Sheephead s Bistro and it was amazing from start to finish. The meal was superb, the food presentation was beautifully plated, staff and service were excellent and very accommodating. The drinks were fun and thirst quenching. Rizwan and his staff excelled and we want to say thank you for a wonderful evening. BTW the raw oysters were the Best Ever . The Asian duck wings so yummy. We will be back.

Place is absolutely the best experience in the cornwall area. Our team was in town for a tradeshow last Wednesday night June 5th and needed a place to eat for dinner. Place was recommended by a local. Called and Riz (owner) answered the phone said yes can fit you on the patio. We arrived and soon after another few people from trade show and they moved table with ours and then 4 other people came in and they joined us and soon we had a group of 10 on the patio. Food was amazing nice specials menu and drink selections. wine is custom picked by the owner. Service was impeccable. I have never had a restaurant where the owner is so involved, and dedicated to there craft. It shows big time. We essentially had a private dinner event with the head chef/owner serving us and making us feel like family. Words do not say enough about our entire night. Riz and staff on behalf of the Entire Alltrade Equipment crew THANK YOU for a memorable night. I personally will be back. You cannot put a price on the experience. A must try for anyone traveling through or from the area that wants to have a refreshing customer experience.

The owners are the people that serve you at your table. Your meals are prepared by an experienced chef which equals a great dining experience. Definitely would recommend for a special evening out. Expect to pay twice what you spend at a fast food chain but youll enjoy world class dining!

Knew nothing about this spot...called last minute and as it turned out got VERY LUCKY to get a table for my wife and I (on her birthday). Cid was our waiter. Super fella, great recommendations, from beer, to wine to mains and desert. Food was above fantastic!!! The owner Rizwan consumate gentleman and host greeted us and spent time discussing the dishes he and his team had developed. (Have I mentioned Cid?) LOL he kept the meal and evening flowing. In all seriousness the meal was out of this world (I will give you a hint: (gentle hint of hickory in the mashed potatoes) wow! Large portions, bursting with flavor, and quality! I am now a loyal follower and whenever I am in town will be darkening Rizwans doorstep. We didnt get a chance to enjoy their super cozy bar......but next time! Cid, Rizwan......THANK YOU GREAT MEAL-MEMORABLE EVENING ON THE BANKS OF THE ST.LAWRENCE!

What an amazing dining experience we had at Sheepshead Bistro. We were a large group and RIZWAN and his team were fantastic in providing us with a very memorable evening. They closed the venue to the public to take care of us and what a job they did! They were super efficient from start to finish. The food was beyond delicious. The service was impeccable and the presentation of each dish was beautiful. Needless to say we loved our experience there, it truly was exceptional.

First time in Cornwall and luckily found this bistro pub for dinner. Obviously a local favourite so I recommend making a reservation, which was inviting and seamless! Once we arrived, we are immediately greeted and told they were expecting us, made us feel so welcome . Service was on point and the teamwork showed between staff was outstanding. A real family feel. The food was delicious, presentation is amazing and their cocktails are top notch . The menu changes (our feature menu highlighting LOBSTER ) It was a unique and delicious experienced. Highly recommend

Exquisite!! Absolutely lovely gem! From their hospitality to the food and even into the bathroom, everything about sheeps head is what you want going to a fine dining establishment! I tried the Piri Piri mussels. It was so good I picked up my plate to drink the sauce . The spicy Cesar is also worth trying. Very good! Overall 10 out of 10 for Sheeps Head!

I discovered this hidden gem in Cornwall,while on a work trip. Already been to the restaurant twice. The food was fantastic. Service was excellent. The owner was very friendly and approachable. It has a lovely atmosphere overall.

Moving to Cornwall from Ottawa, I wanted to try as many local restaurants as possible. Fell in love with this place the first time we went and continue to go back. The owner and his wife are fantastic people and treat their guests with top notch service. If youre looking for a fancy meal with the best service around, this is your place !

Theres just nothing bad to say about Sheeps Head: the owners are the nicest, friendliest people, the food is incredible, and the prices, while high for the area, are more than reasonable for the quality. I just had the best steak of my life (*actually* blue rare!), and my partner loved the General Tao cauliflower. And dont sleep on the poke nachos, which features ahi tuna on fried wontons and cannot be missed. Sheeps Head is a well-deserved staple of the Cornwall area. Dont miss out.

Exceptionally good food and service in an unexpected location.

What a wonderful experience, I brought a friend from out of town and everything was amazing, my friend was so impressed with the ambiance and the drink menu( the martinis were incredible. Such a varied menu it was so hard to decide, we ordered two entrees we both wanted and shared them and it was great . We never felt rushed or pressured to leave. The staff was incredibly friendly and definitely made us feel welcome and appreciated. Hoping the next time the weather is better and we can enjoy dining in the patio . Thank you so much for a wonderful dining experience.

Count Cornwall as a Gastronomic destination with Sheep s Head Bistro. Our host Rizwan went above and beyond to cater to every one of our senses. To see his passion, elevated the experience. The Old Fashioned was not only a cocktail, but a spectacle. My wife also loved their signature Blushing Sheep cocktail, which had no sheep parts whatsoever. The calamari was perfectly cooked and had this nice spicy aftertaste that lingered. The steak was amazing and the chicken Piri Piri was half a chicken! The Piri Piri sauce danced in your mouth like a Latin fiesta. The East Coast IPA came with an origin story on the label, coming to life as our host explained every symbolic imagery. We left with full stomachs, great memories and odly enough golf balls. Rizwan s passion was infused into the meal and made this a special night. Rufus du Sol in the background just added to the ambiance. I might drive from Montreal to do this again!

A bit pricey but everything I ordered was great. Cool wing style that you don t see often. Well executed salad, tomato bisque was very well done. Would recommend. 4.3 stars.

My husband and I tried Sheepshead for the first time last night and it blew us away! They have an excellent reputation and now I know exactly why. As soon as we walked in the owner greeted me by name, which is a really nice gesture. From there we were seated and given a really great experience. The owner took the time to talk to us about drink & food items, along with some history of the restaurant. From the mocktails, appetizer, main courses and dessert we were absolutely blown away. You can tell every single item is made to please. We will for sure be going more regularly. What a gem.

The ambience is fabulous. I ordered the Caesar salad and mushroom rotini. So amazing! Presentation was superb and the owner who served me was courteous and so accommodating. This place is a hidden treasure in my opinion. A definite MUST!!

We were greeted by our very friendly waitress Laren, who never stopped smiling all evening. The food was cooked perfect. It s been a while but I love it here

Great place with a small menu . I went for valentines with the girlfriend that evening . They had a special for superbowl Sunday (valentines Monday was booked up) . The special was risotto with arctic char, king crab and tiger shrimp. I remember the shrimp being great and not sure how the king crab was implemented (do they mix it into risotto,?), the arctic char was great, but the risotto was almost like the chef turned around to talk to someone while pouring the salt into the dish. I thought it was just mine , but as the girlfriend also ordered the same dish , she mentioned it was too salty, so I had to tell her I found that too. She ate 10% of it and I managed to get through 70% before the risotto sucked up all the water in my system. All the staff were great and quick with the drink and requests . As usual the everything other than the risotto was perfect , but unfortunately we picked the one dish that didnt turn out .... sadly on a valentines day dinner. I still gave it 4 of 5 only because I know how good this place is when the food is on point.

A nice seafood plate withArtic char, mussels and shrimp in a broth. A tasty plate. Fried calamari was excellent. As well as the fresh PEI OSTERS. Nice to go back for the nice welcoming service.

We went out as a family tonight for supper for our first time at Sheep Heads Bistro. It is now going to be our new go to place when dining out The service is phenomenal, atmosphere was great, the owner is extremely personable! I ordered the steak, it was cooked to perfection so big compliments to the chef! The fries were delicious and the aioli was amazing! We also had a few drinks, they were all great and made to perfection. All in all, we will be back and will definitely be repeat customers, You can t beat this place 2 thumbs up

This restaurant is a must when visiting the Cornwall area. If you are looking for a place to take a romantic date, have dinner with friends/family, or just want your tastebuds rocked, this is the place. We travelled here from the US with some friends for a night out. This place did not disappoint. It is a short drive outside of Cornwall but it is 100% worth it. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was very attentive. As a bonus the owner was there as well rounding and assuring everything was perfect. This extra attention to detail made for a wonderful atmosphere. We tried quite a few things on the menu from appetizers to desserts. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. Their drink menu had a lot of fun options as well. We were told that the menu here is seasonal and many items change so we will be back for sure to see whats next. This is a smaller restaurant with limited seating so I would highly recommend calling for reservations to assure you can dine in. You wont regret dining here.

Very nice place for a stop on the TO-MTL road. We were there on a Sunday lunchtime, brunch day. The menu offers a small selection of interesting dishes. The egg benedict was generous but a little too vinegary. The homemade fries were delicious but I would have liked a little greenery or fruit to counterbalance the saltiness of the plate. However, for the price, the portions are generous and the service is fast and friendly.

This restaurant not only has incredible food but outstanding service. I appreciated being able to make a reservation for the patio, which not all restaurants do, and from the time I called to reserve to the time we left the patio, the service was impeccable. The team worked together to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. The food was outstanding, twists on classic and locally sourced, fresh ingredients made for a memorable experience and for those who are sometime disappointed by the portions of fine dining, they will not be left hungry here. By the time I left I was already planning my next visit.

What a gem!! Was in the area and stopped in for lunch. Learned we should have made a reservation as it is quite popular and has limited seating. But luckily another reservation was a no-show so they had room for us. So glad it worked out because the food and service here was top notch. I had a BLT which sounds boring but it was the BEST BLT with with a twist I have ever eaten. They have a fun drink menu as well. Worth the drive and Ill be back for sure - and will make a reservation next time!

This place is SO good! The atmosphere is great and the owner is so friendly. The food is to die for! The lobster bisque can soothe a cold heart. Beautiful restaurant! A bit on the expensive side but well worth it, especially in Cornwall.

Been here about 8 times now , moved from Toronto in 2019 and it was so hard to find a good quality restaurant here, then we found this gem and can t stop coming back! First off oysters are the best we have had anywhere , cleaned perfectly and set straight on ice with amazing sides , the sheep s head burger, lobster roll, calamari, chicken breast dinner, are all some that we tried and they are perfect! Be sure to try the chowder , makes you feel like you re on the east coast ; just fantastic ! Thank you Rizwan, Lewis and the whole team for making every night special !

Great place for a real nice meal!

Was treated to a great supper here for my birthday. The food is delicious and the presentation is high end. There are just the right amount of appetizers and entrées to choose from. We had muscles, calamari and chowder as appetizers and our entrées included chicken two-ways, lobster roll and beef tartare served on bone marrow (which was actually an appetizer, but we couldnt resist and were not disappointed). Portion size was large. They have a great beer, wine and cocktail list, and was happy to see Eastern Ontario craft beer on tap. We ate inside as it was raining but they have a small patio with views of the Saint-Lawrence river which would be awesome on a sunny day. Service was excellent by all concerned. Washrooms were spotless and proper cleansing techniques were evident all around. I highly recommend this restaurant and suggest reservations as there are only a small number of tables. Enjoy.

Group of 4 dined this evening at Sheeps Head Bistro. My first time there. Had reservations, were sat and ordered in no time. I ordered the sweet heat wings as an app and had the pork tacos. The wings were unbelievable and the tacos were a hit. Very warm atmosphere and service was top notch. Rurban pale ale and the old fashioned were tasty. Cant wait to go back!

Been there several times and never disappoints. The service is excellent and the food is magnificent. I have tried different meals including the lamb. Even though a spicy lamb is not a favorite of mine, this is was fantastic. Completely recommended. Just consider making a reservation, as the place gets full pretty fast (and its not very big in space).

We had dinner tonight at the Sheeps Head. The restaurant was packed, so we ate our delicious dinner at the bar. I cant say enough about the amazing food, the great drinks and the wonderful service.

Rizwans generosity was by far superior with an all inclusive lunch compliments of Sheeps Head Bistro that included Beer, onion & cheese soup, fresh field greens salad & house balsamic dressing, hand cut fries alongside a pulled pork sandwich on a bun. Very much appreciated by the gang at Marc Viau Mechanical!!

I had the Brunch Poutine there. Let me tell you, that is an excellent way of screwing up a Poutine by putting a poached egg on top with maple syrup and hollandaise sauce. The cheese cake was excellent but for $11. Really guys, get serious. If you are going to offer me something, I should not have to ask the price...menus dont.

My wife and I were there last night and I was really not too impressed with the food given the reviews. It was our first time. Ceasar salad was 3 stars definitely. not worth the price paid for.. our server forgot all about us after food was served. The other server, awaiter cleared our plates and took care of our bill. So all in all food was okay but I do not see 5 star quality..

Wanted to check this place out as I had heard so many good things. My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. Got the soup of the day, made with a garlic short rib which was so flavorful and full. Then, we both had the lobster and shrimp sandwich, which came on an amazing brioche bun and was seasoned beautifully. This place lived up to the hype. Excited to try their other dishes soon.

Honestly not sure what all the hype is about this place. Went for dinner and ordered the chicken leg my wife had the pork belly burger. Both of us had water as we don t drink. Service was okay, menu was very small as is the dining area. Bill with tip was 60$+ for very mediocre food.

Little gem in this lost corner. A place to brunch. The dishes are plentiful and good. On the other hand, the Hollandaise sauce needs to be reviewed.
