Delicious Schnitzel at Schnitzels

We had our holiday office party in the private room on Schnitzels last week. I cannot praise the team at Schnitzels enough for the great evening our team had. Starting from booking the event, Fraser was no helpful in getting everything setup for us in terms of th menu and options. He was very responsive and accommodating to any requests. The food and drinks were excellent and there were lots of options, even for our vegan and vegetarian team members. I want to should out Natasha and Josh our servers who truly took great care of us all evening. Truly an excellent venue for having you next private event.

We were visiting Cornwall for a couple of weeks and got takeout from Schnitzels THREE TIMES, that is how good it was! The classic schnitzel is superb, the Jager Schnitzel is incredible (the gravy is SO tasty!), also loved the spaetzle and red cabbage. Their German pretzel is the best Ive ever eaten. Two huge thumbs up for Schnitzels!

I ate the Chicken and Mushroom Schnitzels which was simply delicious. We were there on a Friday, so the place was very noisy and the servers were in a rush.

Decent food and service, but the pizza oven was broken so a bunch of food on the menu couldnt be cooked. We werent informed of this until we sat down, which was a bit annoying since we planned to order pizza. Also, the schnitzel was good, but quite small. Goulash was good, but something was lacking. I couldnt put my finger on it; maybe spice. Overall, I wasnt blown away and expected a bit more of an authentic eastern European feel, which was missing.

Great food, great service, only got a 4 for atmosphere because of a large party that was very noisy. Not the restaurants fault. Over all if you are in Cornwall certainly worth the time to go enjoy a meal.

Great location and food was top notch. However they should have something spicier than chili oil on the menu. Especially with terms like Diablo and 3rd degree being used to describe the flavors. The food itself is top tier and is highly recommended.

The pizza thin crust is good but toppings are very skimpy. The beef cheese melt was beige carb overkill served on sourdough bread with potato salad and french fries not a hint of green vegetable.

What a great place all around. We happened on it by chance and we are thoroughly impressed by our server Aly and the food was top notch!! The atmosphere was very relaxing especially after a very long trip from New Brunswick. If we are ever up here again, we will be stopping in! Thank you for a great experience!

The restaurant was cold and thats why it has 4 stars for the atmosphere. Other then that everything was great!! The food was amazing, baked brie was wonderful. The French onion soup was salty but it was packed with onions. They were very kid friendly

We had occasion to visit Schnitzels on Saturday, Sept. 7/24 as we were in the Cornwall area. I had the breaded pork schnitzel and potato salad - so tasty. The better half tried the pork belly. We usually order different dishes so we can each try what the other one ordered. Pork belly was a new experience for both of us. It was very well prepared and came with a mac and cheese dish. We probably would not order it again as it isnt quite to our taste, but we did want to try it as it seems to be a popular dish in many places. We shared the Creme Brule and Cronuts afterward - made my taste buds very happy! Our server, Kyla, had perfect timing from the moment we sat down, bringing our drinks and food at exactly the right time. She was friendly and engaging and made our dining experience one we will repeat if we pass that way again. Parking: Most of the spots outside the restaurant were taken so we had to park about a block away, unless we wanted to use the pay parking lot which is just across the street.

First time there but wont be the last. The Golaush was the best I have had. Price was very reasonable. My wife had the snitzel and it to was excellent. Service was great friendly and efficient. Very pleasant experience.

10/10 would recommend! I had requested 11 different pizzas for an event which happened to be on a Sunday when they are usually closed. Schnitzels gladly accepted and fulfilled my request. They made me 11 different kinds of pizzas on a day where they are usually closed for business. Pizzas were absolutely delicious and the customer service was amazing! Thank you Pratik! Im new to Cornwall but have visited this restaurant several times The food is good and consistent and the staff are super friendly This is are go to place when friends are visiting would recommend

On our way back to Montreal after a long motorcycle ride in Ontario, the food is great, you can eat on the terrace, the waitresses are sympathic and kind, service is good. European pizzas I recommand this place and will definitely stop by on a future road trip.

Woah! What has happened to Schnitzels wood-burning pizza? Has there been a change in management? The last time I was there was 2 years ago the margherita wood-burning pizza was excellent so we opted for it again. My mom and I shared it as I wasnt overly hungry and thank goodness for that because it was completely inedible. The crust was so thin you could see through it, and flimsy like it wasnt fully cooked, yet the edges were brown and burnt in some places. The tomato sauce was wet and runny, not baked in the way it should be. I wanted to say something to our server, but my mom hadnt eaten all day and told me not to bother. She managed to get through 2 lukewarm pieces then took the rest home to finish cooking it there instead. Check your wood-burning stove, its not cooking evenly and add a bit more dough to your crust, a thin crust should not be translucent. Not a great experience thats for sure!

Last weekend, the weather was beautiful we wanted to eat on a terrace, this restaurant has a really nice terrace in the shade and I had never tried this restaurant so we decided to go there for lunch. The host was very friendly, the terrace was nice, even if cars drive right by and can be loud and obnoxious. The service.... It started good, waitress came over quick enough, took our order, brought our drinks. It went downhill from there. Our food took a long time. There was only 2 tables inside and half the terrace patrons were already eating when we ordered so not sure what the excuse was. Our chicken schnitzels were over cooked so maybe we could have got our food 5 minutes earlier?.... The dude who brought our food (not our waitress) came and stood there beside out table, with a look on his face that said he did not want to be doing this? I had to tell him where plates went because he just stood there... So yeh the meat was over cooked and dry, good thing they gave us lots of cheese sauce. The waitress had recommended the garlic mash, my boyfriend went with it and it was a good idea, good recommendation, he loved mixing his bites all in the mash and sauce. My fries were just ok. My daughters poutine was soggy, too much gravy too much cheese, she didnt finish it. The waitress never came check up on us to see if all was good. I had to twist and turn for 10min look for her to ask for ketchup. You serve fries, why is there no ketchup on the table? So we finish eating, my boyfriend ate everything, but my daughter and I didnt. Eventually..... the waitress remembered us, without even asking IF we were done, without asking if it had been good, without even looking at us, without a word, just grabbed our plates and left. Didnt offer coffee and dessert, came back 5min later with the bill, her only words you need to pay inside. Wow. $100 lunch for this. Not going back.

Hosted a group dinner and presentation here tonight in the back room. Fraser took care of our every need and provided us with an evening full of great food and even met our every A/V need too. This was my first time here and next time, I ll try a pizza from their stone oven. Thank you, Schnitzels!

Last night we decided to do take out and we both ordered beef goulash, my absolute favorite. In over 15 years this is the first time that we have experienced a meal that was almost inedible, it was so salty it was incredible. Sorry for the review. Im hoping for better luck next time. Mike

Stopped in for some lunch with friends for the first time and really enjoyed my food! Great selection of beer and yummy pizza. My friends had some of the lunch specials which we all reasonably priced. Will definitely go back again!

Best Schnitzel Ive ever had Delicious

We stopped by on the eclipse day 2024. They were fully booked but offered our family a place near the bar area. Chicken schnitzel tasted amazing and authentic. Margarita pizza turned out great too. Our server was very kind and attentive, her beer recommendations were on point. Well certainly stop by when we are in the area next time around.

Not what it used to be. This restaurant was much better 10 years ago. Avoid the fish and chips. The fish is very greasy. Their pizza is very good and I would highly recommend it

Went for a quick lunch date with the hubby. We were seated quickly and given prompt attentive service by the waitress. Food and drinks were delicious! I ordered the Tour of Rome: Parmesan based sauce with chicken & bacon topped with Cesar salad and My husband got the Average Joe. Tons of flavor and plenty of left overs.

Rating restaurants is always difficult due to the potential for so many things to go wrong. Having read the reviews for Schnitzels on Pitt St., I was apprehensive about going (not all were flattering). The greeter was quite pleasant (I would have preferred they also had been my server, as it turned out). Although my waitress was friendly and helpful, she was a bit missing in action at times, and I felt left out. As a single, the larger tables garnered more attention than I did (which is common sometimes). They were not that busy, though. Recommendations for drinks were good and appreciated. The food was a disappointment. The meal (Schnitzel, pork) was served quickly and hot, but that is where it went south. The vegetable medley was unevenly cooked and a bit greasy. The green salad was tricky to get a fork to grab onto. The meat, although a good-sized portion, was dry, and the tartar sauce provided was necessary for almost every bite. Dessert was an even greater disappointment. The apple strudel, which should have been a signature item like the Schnitzel, was very soggy and had been sitting around for a long time. Perhaps the greatest insult was having the bill brought to me despite not asking for it and enjoying an after-dinner drink. Apparently, they only want you to have one and leave. The waitress loudly and abruptly tore up the cheque in front of me when I asked for a refill. It felt as though I had angered her. Perhaps a simpler meal like their wood-fired pizza is a better choice, but I do not plan on returning to find out...

Delicious foods with perfect services

I was so excited to see the menu where I had some very unique offerings, especially the pierogies in the appetizer section and side dish of braised cabbage. That s what I ordered. To be fair I grew up with both those items in our household, and I knew that they wouldn t compare to my mother s cooking, but I thought they could be close. I was so disappointed the pierogies were deep-fried and the crust became hard so when I cut into the pierogies, they filling us out and it was difficult to eat both together. Cabbage, the taste was delicious, but the cabbage was hard to chew it was nothing braised about it. It s almost like it was stirfried . The service was unremarkable. Our order was taken and a mistake was made, but quickly rectified. But the waiter never came back to check on us to see if we were and we had to wait a long time before we were asked if we were finished so we could get the bill . Then we were overcharged by the mistake that was made so I had to point out on the plus side the topping to the pierogies was delicious. My husband meal was satisfactory, but nothing outstanding. We will not go back.

Stopped in on our drive to Montreal. Well be back on our next trip. Staff are super friendly and approachable, atmosphere is nice, and our food was great. I had the beef goulash and my fiance had the classic schnitzel. We had so much food we came away with doggie bags and Im honestly looking forward to reheating it. Prices are very reasonable too.

We visited Cornwall today to view the eclipse. It was a late decision so we hadnt made any lunchtime reservations. Fortunately, we were early enough that they could accommodate us. The food was delicious. The service prompt and friendly. The place has a comfortable atmosphere and we recommend it.

Pretty big and nice place to eat with kids or family. Service was good, food too. Pizza making was using a true firewood stove (quite nice). The pizza dough is on the thin side for my taste. Overall nice experience!

Food was well made but not so warm when served. No gluten free option except for bread! No information about the sauces. Are they gluten free? The service was good. Tina our server was pleasant and very good. The atmosphere was pleasant and I could actually hear my friend brought me to Schnitzels, being new to Cornwall.

The food was good, service was decent... however, my friends and I did notice that one of the people working the pizza bar was under the influence of some kind of stimulant. She was highly agitated, eyes massive, jaw clenching and waggling every which way. Watched the other worker making pizzas, BARE HANDED, mind you, cough directly into his hands and continue making pizzas without washing them. The lady that was obviously very high messed up some toppings on an order and when she was confronted about it, she snatched the toppings from the pizza and chucked them across the bar toward the trash can. She and the other cook were fighting and yelling at each other the entire time. Needless to say, I only ate one piece of expensive pizza and discarded the rest because I did not trust it. While it was entertaining at best, I wont be going again.

Everything just amazing! We visited yesterday, our 1st visit, me and my partner both vegetarian so we ordered garlic Flatbread and Mediterranean pizza.. both are just wowww.... it was just melted in our mouth.... I want to ordere some dessert bt no room in my belly so decided to go back again. The service and staff there are putting their 1000% efforts. I m working in food industry so I understand how customers appreciate good customer service Thank you so much

Great woodfire thin crust pizza and salads here. Their specials are great too. Maple creme brulee was delicious. Will definitely be back next time we are in Cornwall! Great outside patio in the summer too. Friendly, efficient service. Fun to watch your pizza being made. We ate here again twice in February 2023. Same great place. Same great service & food. Lovely, friendly servers both nights. Had the pork Schnitzel with garlic mashed potatoes and peppercorn sauce which came with a nice salad as well. Large portion. Our 2nd evening we ordered the Schnitzel Special pizza and the Market salad. Perfect for sharing for 2 people. Love watching them make your pizza right in the middle of the restaurant. Both were very tasty. Only thing is the front half of the pizza crust is kind of floppy and the outer crust was lovely and crispy from the wood fire. It would be nice if the whole slice was crispy. They had hot chilies and chili oil at the table to add a little spice to your pizza. The cheesecake with fruit compote didnt disappoint nor did the crème brulé. Nice selection of beers and a limited selection of red or white wines. Free parking across the street in the public lot after 6pm. One day well try the outdoor patio in the summer.

Went for dinner and could not have been more pleased! It was the first time I have ever ordered a dish from a restaurant where I did not regret my choice! From the stuffed schnitzel with the sauce that can never be beat to the side salad, everything on my plate was perfectly done and tasted ridiculously amazing! Food was so good my husband and I ordered a pizza to take home! That was also PHENOMENAL! Will definitely return. Great food, wonderful service and relaxing atmosphere. My dearest friend and I picked this spot to meet and have lunch together with family. The staff was courteous and thoughtful. The food was excellent. I heartily recommend this restaurant.

4 persons for dinner. Friendly service but had to ask for salt and pepper and wave someone down for drink refills. Chicken Alfredo was just okay. Lacked flavour and again had to ask for parm cheese for it. Green onions dont belong on that dish. Asked for cheese on garlic toast but they wouldnt do it although I was already paying $27 for my pasta and would have paid another a buck or two upcharge. Husband had fish and chips and he too said it was just okay. Maybe they should get more input from chefs who specialize in these dishes if they are not shy to charge. I believe the pretzels appetizer is supposed to be in their wheelhouse but yet again they lacked salt and were too hard. Overall not impressed.

Went there for the first time . My first restaurant in Cornwall. The pizza was AMAZING and made right before your eyes . I will definitely be back !!

We stopped in on our travels from the East Coast to Toronto and the food was amazing. Our waiter, Stephan, was super friendly, made some excellent recommendations, which we took and he didnt steer us wrong, was extremely attentive and made the whole experience delightful. My family and I had an excellent dinner, tasty drinks, yummy dessert, and a fantastic waiter. We will definitely stop in here again next time we make the trip. Thank you Stephan

Its okay. No German beers on tap which is weird since they have huge Erdinger sign outside. The local beer selection was good to compensate.

Was making a day trip to Cornwall and heard good things about this place. The pizza was excellent if you are into ultra thin cracker like crusts. Loads of toppings and some unique options. It was cool to sit next to the oven and watch them fire pizzas. The schnitzel was also good but the fact that they didn t ask chicken or pork and then defaulted to chicken is beyond comprehension. Who wants chicken schnitzel? So be sure to tell them PORK! Fries were also great, and service was top notch. #Pizza #WoodFiredPizza #Schnitzel

I got the stuffed schnitzel, but there wasnt much cheese in it and the cheddar sauce seemed like it was mostly hot sauce which was kind of a bummer. It still tasted good though. I guess I was just expecting a little more creativity with the sauce. The cronuts are amazing! 10/10! They also had a great apple crisp and really good chocolate cake. Creme brulee was great, too! Our waitress was just the nicest person and so was the hostess! Really good service! All of our food came out piping hot with good sized portions. I was skeptical but this place was really good! If youre looking for something different, definitely check out Schnitzels! PS Its also handicapp accessible through the front door which is AWESOME.

Food was great and hot. Didnt have to wait long. Atmosphere was great. Our server Meaghan did a great job. Definitely going back again.

The food was good disappointed in the steak felt like I eat a cheap 50 percent of from Food Basics for that kind of price it could and should be a 12 ounce steak prime Rib is cheaper but service was great nice place inside.

Always friendly and always good food?

My first Snitzel and I loved it! Very tasty and flavourful was unique and filling.

We found everything very expensive, and my pasta (the primavera) was utterly flavourless (the shrimp was good, but at almost $11 for 4 medium-sized ones, not worth it -except it was the only thing that saved the dish). I must apologize to our server for our very opinionated and fussy guest (and to the poor woman making pizzas who probably heard every incredibly obnoxious thing he said), because service was great. The place is noisy (most places are these days) and while our server *earned* it for putting up with our obnoxious guest, the tipping options were high (lowest automatic at 18%... which also makes me worry that servers, kitchen staff, etc, are not making a living wage). But, wow. Dining out at these prices cannot be a regular thing, thats for sure.

Decided to stop in for lunch on a Saturday. Restaurent flatly refused us, told there was not enough staff, as we watched 3 tables leave one of these was a table of 6. No option of waiting, just a flat out No. It was a long time fav that we would drive from Montreal. Sadly no longer :(

Great place and an easy walk from Marina 200. We had Fettuccine Alfredo, Schnitzel s and The Goulash. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The Chocolate Truffle was to die for!

Love eating here every year when in town. Great beers on tap, mains are great as well. Wood oven fired pizzas are good too. Oddly the salad was great one day and not the next even after sending it back to be redone very odd but not a big deal. Would still go back! Parking isn t great if you re disabled/mobility challenged as it s hard to drop anyone off near the resto when street parking is full. The lot across the street is available but too far for my hubby to walk. Vegetarian options: Some vegan options here. Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly options available

My wife and I went here for dinner this past Saturday night. Boy oh boy what a great restaurant, the atmosphere is amazing with a patio outside. I can tell you that the food was amazing. Great portions and far priced. I am looking forward to returning for another dinner date in the near future.

Food was a little bland. The red cabbage was awesome though. Nice schnitzel, can you go wrong coating and deep-frying chicken? Everything was underseasoned. Portions were large. Tartar sauce with German food? No thanks. Service was friendly, prompt, helpful, and happy.

Schnitzels is a wonderful restaurant with a touch of European flair in the heart of our city! There s something for everyone! Great place to celebrate a special occasion, have a high quality meal, delectable cocktails or a more casual fare! Their menu is varied and so yummy! Their oven pizzas are AMAZING, thin crust and so flavorful! Love everything at Schnitzels! Staff is so attentive, right from the moment we walk in! Always a pleasure to be greeted by the lovely Cheryl who goes above and beyond always! Hostesses are very efficient at finding us the perfect seating to suit our needs that day! Great outdoor patio as well, weather permitting of course! Live music can be heard on certain nights! Love seeing the owner Hassan coming around and saying hi, overseeing everything! Kudos to our bartenders Jackie, Kyla and Ryan the bar manager! Thank you to all servers, the whole Schnitz team! Efficient service plus! Special shout out to Trevor and Jen! Great place good food amazing service

Had the pork schnitzel and poutine. Was super good! French onion soup was next level as well. Took my mom and she loved it as well; well be coming back next time were in town!

What a great place for our grandsons 1 casual dining experience. I cant sing their praises loud enough. The food was exceptional, as was the staff. Well done Schnitzels & Cornwall.

Very authentic German food. Went with 2 Germans and they agreed snitchzel was fantastic and pizzas sehr gut!

I took the fish and chip with a pizza and it was very very bland. Maybe other foods in there are good but if you enjoy seasoned food dont pic those two.

Ah, schnitzel

Whenever I feel for the BEST Wood fire pizza, I drive from Montreal to cornwall. Always greeted with a smile, service is always amazing. They have the best fries with garlic sauce. I highly recommend this place. Served by Stephan tonight, wow! Super friendly, on the ball, Thank you! Dietary restrictions: Best gluten free pizza EVER Parking: Parking is free on weekends!

Drove down from the West Island for lunch,only to find the restaurant closed. Had check there Web site before leaving. Classes the restaurant later that day. Spike with a lovely young lady who apologized. Past me to a manger who didnt seem to mind that we drive far to come to this restaurant. Did not get the feeling he really cared. With the gaz prices will think again before going back. Would it have killed him to offer a free drink or something.

Everything was very tasty ! We tasted perogies, goolash, schnitzel and parmigiana and we were gladly surprised by the quantity and quality of the food. Also, service was on point and very accommodating.

No direct parking is the biggest downside to this place. The food was good and service was friendly. If you want comfort food, come here. I did not try it but the pizza looks and smells delicious.

When ya visit as place called SCHNITZELS, ya should really try the SCHNITZEL, but I didnt, and so the 8oz tenderloin that I requested as rare side of medium presented as the MOST juicy and delicious steak Ive had in AGES!!! (They knew EXACTLY what they were doin) Shrimp tasted like more please Purple carrots rocked, garlic butter was hella salty but made it taste delicious and all was paired with the Hazy IPA, and so, I had a wonderful glow on. Thaaaaaaaanks ever so much :)

Went for lunch on Bday. Took 50+ minutes for 2 orders. Me and Dad had to woof our food down so he could make it to work. No apologize. Nothing.

Our service here was great, especially considering there was a walk in of 12 people shortly after we arrived. The staff was attentive and well mannered extremely easy to talk with. The food was also great, Ill have to come back and try a schnitzel. I saw a wood over and had to get a pizza, maybe its blasphemy to not get the item the restaurant is named after. My pizzas crust was fantastic, nice and thin, crispy and light. The sauce and toppings were the right level of salty.

The service & the food was out of this world,had a server who made us feel welcome & important,we are from Montreal so our server did a perfect job with success in speaking his French to us,would & have already recommended this restaurant to our Canadian friends & family !!!!
