We offer fresh & authentic Pakistani & Indian food, along with mouthwatering continental staples from Filet Mignon steaks to Souvlakis to Pizza & Poutine. Our ButterChicken is the best! We also serve the best, and cheapest breakfast- Fresh, All day, Everyday!
ordered a "spicy spell " pizza. Tandoori chicken and green chili peppers. It was great ! If you want pizza and no grease, this is the one. Awesome job !!
They're good! Random spot for people from Toronto on the way to Montreal or wherever, food was great. I would stick with chicken or even their mutton biryani was great but not their lamb curry that bad the meat itself didn't even taste like lamb, have texture like lamb, possible because they don't sell enough lamb orders. Anyways other than that all is well.
Very good food, they are specialised in Pakistani/Indian food but they have also have many other choices: pizza, pasta, burger. Nice staff , good service. The spicy Butter chicken was not too spicy( I'm used to very spicy)
Clean friendly service, prices are good and food is delicious and was served fast and hot! Mothers day breakfast, and every women was given a rose at the end of the meal. Nice touch! 😊
The Carrie Ann (waitress) is awesome, great service with a smile and very polite...really goes out of Her way.
Update! We came back and had to try their butter chicken pizza. It was very tasty with the naan bread as the tender crust. It could have used more butter chicken sauce, can never have enough of it! We also ordered a side dish of palak paneer (spinach and cheese). We ended up dipping our pizza into it, absolutely delicious!!! Friendly service from the lady who served us, on the button with our coffee!! Original post. It was our first time going to this restaurant. The food exceeded our expectations! Very friendly service from Carrie Anne. I had the 3 egg omelet with butter chicken. Delicious! The grilled potatoes with onions was really good also. My boyfriend had the hungry man's breakfast. He really enjoyed it. We also did a takeout. We took the Chicken Tikka Masala (spicy), the Chana dish (chickpeas) and the palak paneer (spinach puree with cheese), all delicious!! We look forward to going back the next time we are in Cornwall. More dishes to try!
Every time my wife and I travel to Cornwall, we make it a point to eat at this restaurant. And not without good reason. This place serves both Canadian and Subcontinental dishes, and has an extensive menu. I can vouch for the Subcontinental dishes, since we have always found those to be outlandishly delectable, with the servings being most generous. We spread the word amongst our friends, all of whom have visited the place and spoke highly of it. Lately we visited the restaurant again with a group of friends, mainly with the intention of introducing it to them. The feedback from each and every one of them has been positive and appreciative. During that visit, being a Thanksgiving weekend, the restaurant was much busier than usual during lunch hour. What amazed me is that the restaurant had only one server constantly rushing back and forth from the kitchen to the tables, and from one table to another. I wonder why they didn't employ at least another server, knowing full well that the place was going to be busy during the Thanksgiving weekend. But what amazed me even more was the lone server, Carrie-Ann, who was the personification of Super Woman. I still do not know how she managed to attend to every table regularly and in a timely fashion, keeping all the patrons happy. She singlehandedly kept the place and the act together. My hats off to her. That notwithstanding, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone who lives in Cornwall, or visits Cornwall.
At first glance it looks like a rundown place, with old fashioned tables & Decorations, the menu was all over the place. Like Greek &fastfood, pizza/hamburger/subs/And Indian, so we ordered samosas/naan bread/&a half of a chicken, with all the trimmings. And to our surprise it was amazing. Better than any other in Montreal and Halifax.
Phenomenal service and the food is unreal!!!! The staff was professional and friendly and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. We came in with a HUGE group and the staff absolutely hit a home run with the service. We felt so taken care of. Highly recommend if youre looking for a bite - the fresh naan and Chana dal is sooooo yummy!
Delicious
Cozy Christmas vibes there! I had the best butter chicken Ive ever had in my life. Ive been telling everyone about it!!
I have been here probably at least 50 times. My favourite Indian/Pakistani restaurant in town. The vege samosa plate is probably my favourite dish Ive ever had at a restaurant. Its really spectacular, and thats largely thanks to the fact that their chickpea curry is also one of the best Ive had. Butter chicken, lamb roghan josh, Shahi or mutter paneer, shrimp curry all amazing amazing amazing. My favourite naan is their garlic butter one, I promise its not too much its so worth the extra dollar or two. Its funny because the decor of the restaurant is so classic hometown diner (pretty nostalgic with booths and a checker floor that take you back in time) but theyre serving amazing Indian/Pakistani food. Their diner food (back of the menu) is also solid, as well as their pizza. I love coming here for breakfast as well.
Charming family restaurant, great service!
Had Thanksgiving dinner was just awesome. Could not. Have done better as I cook all from scratch. Look forward for Christmas Dinner.
I had a great experience everything was perfect. Thanks to the lady served food Mr. Ali had a nice place in Cornwal. I recommend everyone a this place.
Food not as great from the last time.
The most delicious authentic Indian butter chicken around town!! Nothing can compare to Family Corners. The people are so very nice. Never been disappointed!
Very great food
Great place to bring the family good food overall, doesnt disappoint.
Great food! Great service!
Went in with a group of 8 people (adults & kids). Everything was great! From the service to the food. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly- even accomodating the children by providing coloring material, etc. The Pakistani food was the best we have ever had. The food was fresh, flavorful, and great portions. They offer a choice of spice level so each person was able to enjoy the food to their liking. The children had the continental cuisine (pizza, burgers, and chicken finger platter) and they also loved it. Overall everything was great! Will be back for sure!
Went for breakfast on mothers Day, no wait time to sit down, clean, friendly service. The food was delicious and came quickly and was a good price. Every woman got a rose at the end of the meal. Nice touch!
Poor service my steak was cooked wrong twice and both time baked potato was raw. Over 200 dollars for me and the family which is normal but service and food horrible wont be back ever. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs flat entrance
Breakfast was awesome
The butter chicken is hands down the best Ive tried in Cornwall On. The naan bread they serve with it is absolutely delicious, fresh and the perfect temperature. I ordered a side of rice which was light and fluffy. I have returned a few times and will return again just for the butter chicken. I hear they also make a to die for butter chicken pizza which I will try as well.
Few people in the day we were there ,took 45 mins to get a breakfast and a salad , food was OK and waitress was nice
Best steak in Cornwall along with a great price. Also our go to breakfast restaurant. Prices are better than almost everyone else in town. Friendly service as well. Parking: Most of the time it is easy to find a parking spot but at certain times the small lot can be full. Kid-friendliness: They do have a childrens menu. Wheelchair accessibility: The doors arent automatic but they can fit a wheelchair through and the tables do accommodate those in wheelchairs
My Dad and I went this morning for breakfast. My Dad ordered the hungry man breakfast with 3 scrabble eggs, brown toast, homefries, double bacon, and double sausage instead of the ham and baloney with coffee. I had 2 BLTs with mayo on brown toast. The waitress was on point and brought us our drinks after giving us the menus. My Dads eggs were cold. Other than that, he said it was good. My BLTs were ok missing the mayo, so I had to ask the waitress for some. The cook put enough bacon and lettuce but lacked tomatoes he/she put one small slice of tomatoe on each sandwich. The location was clean but needs an update as some of the seats need to be redone and the decore lacks. The price for both meals $33 not including tip. Some what expensive compared to other locations with better quality food and freshness.
nummy
Was a wonderful Christmas meal they have done this for the community every year and they do a wonderful job thank you family corner for your generosity and your kindness
Had the Christmas Dinner with a friend who was also alone for the day. GREAT food, fantastic atmosphere and the staff went over and above!! Would definitely recommend!
Nice waitress, good breakfast, reasonable price, very clean.
This restaurant is so affordable and delicious! We came with our kids on our way through Cornwall. My husband and I ate Indian food and our kids had pizza and a grilled cheese. We were impressed that they had a basic option for the kids as we weren t sure how they d respond to Indian food. This food was delicious. If we weren t all the way in Quebec I would be back more often. We will definitely be back again when we pass through Cornwall next.
We ordered the samosa, aloo gobi, beef vindiloo. I had no idea that cornwall had such great Indian food. Delicious we are going to be back!
Wonderful
The lamb Rogan josh was spectacular!
Great service, great food and overall very welcoming. Indian food was very well made and spices really tasty
They make a delicious club sandwich!
Started bringing the family here on Saturday nights for dinner because the food is good and its pretty quiet.
Good food and good prices Parking: It was ok Kid-friendliness: Didnt see too many early in the day Wheelchair accessibility: O ground floor
Excellent meal at a very reasonable price
Best Indian food in town!
Awesome food and great service. Will definitely come back here. Had the samosas, pakora, veggie Biryani and eggplant bharta ... All were top quality and tasty. Thanks so much!
Super butter chicken
Absolutely delicious food , incredibly friendly staff , tons of food at a reasonable price, the paneer was my favourite, the lamb was cooked to perfection.
Chicken Vindaloo and garlic naan with basmati rice. This dish is my favourite. So full of flavour! Highly recommend.
Very friendly, family oriented Vegetarian options: My gravy on my fries was plant based and very good Kid-friendliness: The kids meals were quite large
Great menu, food was ok. Really love my Indian food and hoped I found somewhere I can get it while still having the food my kids love. Food
Parking: The parking is for several different business Food
I love it
Slow service and we ordered 2 butter chicken with rice and nan garlic bread. Side order of garlic bread, chocolate milk and kids chocolate milk and two iced tea this came to over 67.00 which means our drinks alone was 20.00. No break down of the bill when asked for a copy. Not 67.00 tasty
The food is always fantastic and the service is even better! Carrie-Anne is always fast, efficient and always comes to the table with a smile. This place is excellent.
Well, could you get any friendlier service? Or more attentive service? If you run a Michelin starred restaurant and want to see how it should be done, then come here for breaky. Yeah, its a family style diner. No, there is no Dom Perignon on the menu. But there is staff that bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and that make every effort to ensure you can get an allergen-free meal. Thank you Donna, Kathleen and Ali for making our brief stop enjoyable, tasty and non-allergic.
The food is top notch for prices that simply cant be beat! I lived in cornwall for years and never visited this restaurant and I regret it!l. The food and service are both amazing! And the value simply cannot be beat. Family corner restaurant reminds us, we dont need to spend a million, to be fed like a million!
We walked in looking forward to a good dinner,we literally left inside of 3 minutes. The server STANK like b.o. . Idk who would want to or could eat with that stink in the air. But we cant.
Hello all, sorry to say but not impressed whats say ever.. We did not get we we ordered and the place is dirty. Very disappointed.. I / we will never go there for breakfast again...
Great food, great service. def munching here again
Upon entering this diner style resteraunt, I was not expecting great Indian food. Boy, was I wrong. The food was fantastic. Unfortunately, I am not a local because I would be eating here weekly.
Worst food I have ever had in my life. I ordered chicken madras and samosas . Container was not full and naan were like pizza base . Samosa had so much oil. Don t waste your money here. Food
Delicious food and good people
What a great place to eat. Food was fantastic. Staff friendly.
Best butter chicken in town!! Courteous service.
Pretty tasty. Spicy butter chicken was great!
You want Indian food? Dont come here, its out of a jar
Its veryyyyyyyyy good I liked it so much wetres so kind owner very nice! Great place to eat!
Very good
Excellent. I love quality and service. Very competitive prices
Very Bad tasteless food. They give Readymade naan just by heating up when I ordered I asked if they cook fresh naan , she said yes. I ordered Shahi paneer there wasn t a single piece of paneer in it was kind of a soup. I m putting 1 star because there is no option to put 0 star. Really don t know how this restaurant have a rating 4.1
Best place for authentic Indian food. Their nan is so fresh and tasty
Excellent breakfast !
We ended up in Cornwall at dinner time quite by accident. We decided to try the Family Corner Restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food was so delicious, and the service was impeccable. Our server was Carrie, and she had such a sunny personality she made a great experience even better. I will be recomending this restaurant to all my friends!
First time back since COVID it was delicious be back for sure
Great staff and very friendly service. The food tasted great except for the french toast, which i feel was a bit stingy on the eggs and definitely shouldve had morw considering the cost. The facilities were well maintained and clean.
Good prices, good service, good food!
Says Indian restaurent. It is not. Not sure why it says that. Good breakfast but prices seem a bit inflated for a simple breakfast. Staff is friendly and service is good. Hense the 4* rating.
Everything was good. My only issue would be the deep fried breakfast sausages.
Our adorable waitress
was a bit cold and I wanted a soup we were on the road for few hours and I was tired I wanted a soup and fries how difficult its that order?? Waited for a while before I got fries what happened to the soup I am still waiting
Food was great server very nice.
Suuuuper nice server, big bright windows for lots of nice lighting, and most importantly, delicious food. The curries we tried were amazing. Great beef korma. They were also great with kids and had very generous spaghetti portions.
Not the best Indian in town anymore but still very good for the price
Great place ! BIG portions ! Love the experience
I ordered dal makhani, shahi paneer and butter naans from here which costed about 50 CAD. It was the WORST food I have ever had in my life. Flavorless, looked stale(panner was hard) and Naans were inedible. :( They were made like a pizza base with maybe cheese on top, so thick that I could barely chew them. I would prefer ready-made store naans, any day over this tasteless bread. When I tried to explain my concerns to the owner, he started shouting on us instead. He was so rude and arrogant. It was the most UNPLEASANT experience of my life. I am never stepping foot there. I do not recommend it to anyone. Please save your money, there are better places out there.
Great place - a bit of a juxtaposition, though. The atmosphere makes it feel like an old-style north american diner, but the menu contains some of the best casual Indian-inspired food Ive ever had!
We been trying out new breakfast places and I have to say they have the best made food and decent portions and most afford food. The waitress was nice and welcoming as well as consistently around for coffee refills. No complaints
The food is so tasty, the service was super great and the price was very good I will come back
Very good food, excellent service.
Excellent restaurant really very well appointed very clean and of course welcoming, I really enjoyed the cuisine and the succulent meals, the portions are very generous we were very happy to taste the wonderful dishes that the chef prepared for us, I will always come back There I tasted the best pizza that I have ever eaten anywhere else. I invite you to go and try it, you will really be delighted. The waitress was very welcoming, smiling, a real gem, thank you very much to your warm welcome The only downside is that you have to wait too long to have your meals served, it takes a long time, we had to wait 45 minutes to have our meal served.
Nice staff , food sogy . Still okay
The curry, in my experience, has much variety and is always delicious (served with chicken, beef or lamb). The chaplee kebab (essentially an Indian hamburger patty) is also highly recommended. The breakfast is probably the cheapest in town, and it doesnt disappoint at all! Once Covid restrictions are lifted, Im not hesitating to dine in! The waitresses are affable and amiable. Ill invite anyone to eat here!
Love the garlic butter chicken with garlic, cheese Naan. Incredibly delicious.
I always order butter chicken pizza and thats the best pizza in town.
Nice place
Like it
We love this place. The waiters are kind and quick. And they have a big variety on their menu when in comes to international food. Sometimes they may forget a few things. Last time they forgot to bring our glasses of water, but since we also asked for tea and coffee we didnt fuss about it. They also forgot to bring me a mug so I grabbed a clean one myself. Other than this its one of the best (value for your money) restaurants in Cornwall.
The only place I can appreciate a sweet and savoury Butter Chicken! Keep up the good work!
amazing food i recommend eating from here
There is great service. The food is home made. Great place to go
We went today on a recommendation, and were thoroughly disappointed. The fish was deep fried so much that the batter could not be separated from the hardened fish. The Cole slaw was floating in liquid. I ordered chicken with rice and a Nan bread. The meal came with a salad so chunky that it was a given it was not washed. The chicken hard and dried out and no Nan in the bag. I returned for a reimbursement for the Nan and to inform them of the poor quality of the food. The only good part of the experience was the very nice waitress.
such great food
Great food
My FAVOURITE Butter Chicken and Naan!! SOOO good. We once or twice a month and its always delicious. The staff are great.
the food there is really good i would totally recommend eating here
Good North Indian food close to the US border.
We visited Family Corner for breakfast and enjoyed frequent coffee top ups. We were welcomed warmly and served in a timely manner. We were not kept waiting and the staff were very pleasant throughout our visit and the meal was very tasty (delicious homefries served with fried onions). The menu offered several sides which catered to a plant-based diet and were equally tasty. It was delight as well as a touching revelation to learn that Family Corner provided free meals on Christmas Day to any member of the community who wished to join them. Thank you Family Corner for a wonderful breakfast experience.
Crazy there are so many menu items and yet everything tastes so good! Great prices too!!! Youll be stuffed :)
Reasonable prices and food is generally pretty decent but service is sometimes slow
My favourite Indian restaurant its my go to spot I go to. I come from the US. to come and get their delicious authentic Indian food. Its the best Ive had. Delicious!
Love the food from here. The butter chicken is amazing with naan and rice.
Something for everyone food is amazing. Staff is amazing.clean restaurant. Ground level entry
Excellent service with all the waitresses and good food.
Pretty much has something for everyone
The service was good but horrible food. I ordered samosa with cholle and they fill the whole plate with salad and just garnished it with samosa. The price wasn t reasonable the food quality was pathetic.
All I can say is... mouth watering !! The butter chicken is so flavourful!! So happy to find authentic Indian food in Cornwall. This has become a staple on our weekly menu.
We have orderd the garlic naan yesterday we have two guests with us they came from Toronto and that naan was like a big wooden round shape of naan it was very hard and because of that naan my both relatives and me felt the heart burn this is the worst shop for the indian food in the cornwall they are just selling the garbage things so nobody should prefer to go there. Beacuse of these guys I felt insulted in front of my relatives so be aware of that before going to this restaurant.
The worst indian food i have ever had. The garlic naan were disgusting. They made me disturb whole night. Never ever go back. Butter chicken didnt even taste like butter chicken. paneer didnt hve the taste. Very very bad. Food gave me health issue.
Curtious and patient while we took longer to order
Wonderful resteraunt. Great service, amazing Indian food. Never disappointed. Love this place.
Food is OK, but never order for delivery! The food was always cold!! And they will take at least 1-2 Hours for delivery! Poor delivery service! ************** UPDATED REVIEW They improved a lot in their delivery service!
we ordered samosa plates and that was disgusting there was only chole and veggies just few chunks of samosa
Best mild butter chicken on the planet.
Nice Indian food but masala tea need more of Ginger.
Nice Indian vegetarian food.
Horrible place to eat, rude workers, dirty restaurant
I am from and India and i love india food. I visted here and had india dish (samosa with chick peas). It was not that good. The service in the restaurant was good. The dinning area is very nice.
Second disappointed visit. The girlfriend and I decided to go here on a date night. We walked in, there was 1 other person inside. Another couple walked in and sat next to us. The waitress ignored us for over 5 minutes, till the girlfriend motioned her over to bring us menus. It took over 20 minutes for her to take our drink orders... Then a new person walked in, was immediately served and she still ignored us and the other couple... and after waiting 10 minutes for our drinks we decided to leave... The other couple left as well.
Best butter chicken hands down!
Didnt get to try their food their service was literally no service at all had to physically call a waitress over to get menus and drinks which we didnt get btw we left very unhappy and will no longer be returning to this establishment
Fabulous food, awesome staff. Even better prices. A definite must go place
Nice staffs
Good food nice friendly service
Update. Unfortunately the quality of food has gone down since my last post. Everything looked pink instead of read. First time I saw pinkish butter chicken and chicken tandoori. Perhaps there has been a change in the chef. Excellent authentic subcontinental food. Pleasantly surprised with the quality. Near perfect biriyani and other dishes. Kudos to the chef. Food is not expensive. Had a take away so can t comment on the service but it looked like the patrons were enjoying their time.
Nice breakfast, place is a bit old and can use a facelift. People bring in their own coffee!!!
Had the butter chicken with nan bread. Authentic! Meal was delicious. At the lunch special price of $8.99. Great bargain. Our waitress was delightful Would definitely recommend this place.
Pleasant staff, good prices for breakfast. Little disappointed that the fruit was canned (in the summertime) but was filling and fast.
Food is average. Service is ok. Prices are reasonable. No air conditioning. Parking is sometimes crowded.
Food was bland&chicken overcooked.colesaw had tooooo much sauce.dot go there
Food was good and inexpensive. Staff was friendly. Place looks tired and could use a face lift. They serve Canadian and Indian food.
Our fav place!
I had higher expectations of the Indian food served for the price paid. Pleasant service.
Very good breakfast, quick, affordable, just no AC so it gets a little warm in there.
Good spot for breakfast.
Very good, inexpensive and good service
The butter chicken is really good...Indian restaurant that offers Canadian dishes
authentic crepes both savory and sweet..staff very attentive..wonderful atmosphere..great prices
Very very good friendly and food and pricesgreat
Eggshells in my omelet and rotting fruit
Better then driving all the way to dennys when you want breakfast after 2 pm just an extra dollar more but still worth it
Very good Indian food at good prices
I ordered a chicken biriyani and got the worst biriyani in my life. Never ever buy from here
Love their butter chicken and pakoras!
