Good food. Almost all the items are highly overpriced for what the quantities are. This is clearly because of no proper competition in the area. Add: 17 Dec24 - Go to Spice Haven just a block away and compare the food and prices. Proves my above claim right. Gosh this place is still a rip off

Best Indian food I ve had and great service!

First time visiting this restaurant and did so for take-out food. Food was tasty and well cooked though we would have prefered something more spicy. We did tell the waitress we were used to highly spiced food. The serving sizes are a bit smallish for the price, especially the rice. I dont really like being prompted for a minimum tip of 15% for take out food either.

I love Wow India! My sister, boyfriend, and I eat here frequently. There are so many vegan and vegetarian options. My sister and I usually order a bunch of things to split. I specifically recommend the Sri Lankan vegetable rolls and the blueberry lime mojito mocktails. All of their food is 10/10- and the staff are fantastic.

They have increased prices by 50%. Very small quantity served compared to other restaurants. The restaurant was ok when only in Cornwall few years back, but right now many options are there with better taste and enough quantity. Current prices are rip off; even more than some Ottawa fine dines. Wont be encouraging these prices.

Yesterday we ordered a bottle of wine (Bread and Butter) and our server brought us 2 sparkling clean glasses! I love clean spotless glasses! My husband had the butter chicken and I had the chicken Masala with the coconut cream, fresh garlic nan and two rice sides. One with saffron and one with peas. So amazing good, just the right amount of heat. We also enjoyed an appetizer with shrimp . It came to us sizzling on an iron dish. Absolutely wonderful dinning experience. Like a party of flavors for your mouth! Our waiter a young man with an 8 month old, delighted us with his excellent service and many fine recommendations.

I was coming from Toronto. I was searching for a good Indian cuisine. So we choose WOW India. Ambience is perfect and we have plenty of food options. We are four of us in a table ordered Tandoori chicken, tiger shrimp, miso platter,lamb korma, wow biryani, wow signature dessert. I thought it was same as other restaurants. But it was very delicious and delicious and yummy . I think it is the only restaurant in Cornwall for best in Indian cuisine. Service was top notch. We ordered a butter chicken, dal mekhani, and biriyani chicken. We also ordered 2 naans. Fresh hot, soft yet crispy. A little thin but delicious! Came out to 63$ before tax and tip. We thought prices were reasonable because portion sizes were generous. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and good, and we enjoyed our visit. If we come back to Cornwall, we will certainly come back again :)

We have been here 3 times on our way to Long Sault. Each time the service has been top notch, and the food delicious. You must try the salt & pepper mushroom appetizer. My husband is a fan of their pistachio mango and has it every time. My in-laws, who were visiting from India, really enjoyed the Mysore masala dosa. And absolutely cannot miss the mango cheesecake for dessert. We also tried the Wow special dessert which was Gulab Jamun & malpua served with fresh fruits and rasmalai whipping cream. We absolutely loved it. Sweet, yet delicate. Great experience, through and through.

An inexpensive trip to India. It was a stop between Toronto and Montreal... The atmosphere is typical. Courteous and attentive service, with a smile. And our server even gave us some wise recommendations. As for the food, wow. Flavors, textures, colors, everything combines wonderfully. Its tasty and spicy just enough. Whatever the reason for our next visit to Ontario, we will stop there. For sure. We even left with a doggybag. So the prices are very reasonable.

With flavors of the fresh spices and herbs that are delicious and the menu with the fusion is very interesting and unique.. All the meats are Halal for those that matter. We were passing through Cornwall and stopped at Wow India. I had the Hakka chicken noodles and my husband had the Wow biryani. What a treat!! Both dishes were so delicious and the portions so generous. Service was awesome and very attentive. Restaurant could use an update on the furniture but if you look beyond that, you won t be disappointed. It was quite clean. Will definitely go back if ever we re back in the area.

We were coming back from the States and decided to have dinner here on our way back home. Oh what a great find! We ordered lamb korma, chicken biryani, saffron rice, plain naan and tandoori chicken and all of them were very good! Service was swift and great. We were glad to find this place and we will come back whenever we visit or pass by Cornwall.

We had a wonderful experience with MR Ryan . He was very hospitable and suggested us with various options. About My Food - I had Torched Paneer Tikka , Veg Kurma and Parota.- The food was very delicious and i was very happy that i travelled 1 hour for some nice indian food. They had no veg kuruma option but Ryan and the Chef made sure i had a wonderful meal before i could leave for Montreal. On top of It i was served with Bombay Mule which was extraordinary as well. About my Husband s Food: He had the famous parota and beef curry which he again clamied worth travelling to Cornwall just for lunch. Also the wine was very good and paired good with the meal. 2 friends from Montreal and 1 from Kingston decided to meet halfway for lunch in Cornwall. We all like Indian cuisine and chose this restaurant after checking it out online. Each of us selected different dishes and thoroughly enjoyed our choices - chettinad chicken masala, lunch special butter chicken combo and lunch special chicken tikka masala combo .... along with naan and Sri-Lankan rolls and beverages. The food was delicious and the menu offered lots of options. The portions were generous and the prices were well in line. The service was friendly and courteous. Parking was easy. We had stopped over on our way to Toronto looking for a place to have some good food. The place is clean, and hygienic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was freshly prepared, delicious and comforting. We also tried their new mango pudding /cheese cake. Just the right amount of sweetness and very pretty looking dish. Must visit if you are tired of travelling and looking for a nice place to eat in.

We came to Wow India in Cornwall late on Saturday night (an hour or less before close). We were visiting in town and had gotten in late and needed to find a place that could accommodate my food allergies (gluten, onion, garlic; eats vegan). While they could only adapt one dish off their extensive menu (on short notice), it was stellar and I came back for it again the next day! My partner (no restrictions) had food which he said was as good as or better than what we typically get from our favorite places back home in the SF Bay Area (US). This was an excellent place to stop for a meal and we appreciated the care from the staff. Check out Wow India in Cornwall, you wont be disappointed!!

The Wow stands for wonderful. We were a group of 6 who ordered a delicious variety of food. Among the standouts was the mango-avocado salad. We also liked the saffron rice, the eggplant korma, chicken korma and 2 apps the wait staff suggested. Very nice people as well.

Stopped for a quick meal on a Wednesday evening during a road trip. The wait staff took care of us right away, made good recommendations, and were friendly and courteous. The food arrived in a timely and orderly fashion and was certainly plentiful. The food was also very tasty. If we are back in the area, we would certainly return.

We decided to try Indian cuisine for the first time at WAO restaurant in Cornwall after being impressed by its Google reviews. We opted for Hyderabadi veg Biryani but received Pulao made with frozen vegetables and a hint of biryani masala, indicating a departure from authentic preparation. Similarly, my wife ordered Pav Bhaji Dosa but was served a disappointing Masala Dosa instead. Additionally, their Sambhar resembled more of a lentil soup than the traditional sambhar. The only commendable aspect was their service. As an Indian, its disheartening to admit that this restaurant falls short of delivering authentic Indian flavors.

This restaurant does not disappoint, the magnificence of spices and flavours incorporated into every dish is beyond phenominal, the chef personalized our visit and recommended a goat curry dish and it was one of the most amazing dishes I had ever had, butter chicken is so flavourful and will make you smile with a sigh of appreciation and satisfaction. A treasure for Cornwall and such an honour to have this gem in our community.

Honestly cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We consistently get fantastic, friendly service, and great attention to my partners dietary restrictions. Excellent prices and unbelievable food. Naan bread this good (and hot and fresh) is hard to find in eastern Ontario, so dont pass it by. Vegetarian options: Lots of options through the menu, and clearly marked. Dietary restrictions: The menu marks gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy free options, to make dietary restrictions easier to accommodate. They are also very attentive to spice level asks. Parking: Parking can be a bit awkward in the weirdly shaped lot but Ive never had trouble getting a spot here.

Wonderful spices greet you at the door, and continue in the fragrant and delicious food. We enjoyed samosas, tandoori chicken, cashew chicken korma, naan, and gulab jamun and tandoori chai for dessert. The friendly chef owner visited all the tables to ensure that we enjoyed our meal. The menu has great variety for all diners (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free etc) and spice levels are adjusted according to your taste. They also have a location in Ottawa.

Our family loves Wow, whether it is dine in or take out! We had a delicious and easy meal in the restaurant tonight. Tried Samosa Chat and Chicken Cashew Korma which did not disappoint. The paneer tandoor and avocado salad are things we always enjoy, along with Butter Chicken Poutine that our kids insist on (sometimes we even get an extra for lunch the next day). Also, the staff, including the chef, are so friendly.

My husband and I recently dined at a charming restaurant in Cornwall and was blown away by their special Wow Biriyani. The flavors were rich and authentic, leaving me wanting more. Pairing it with Madras filter coffee and Madurai Malli Dosa was a culinary delight. I couldnt resist taking a parcel of Kerala Parotta, Rasam, and Butter Chicken to-go. What truly stood out was the down-to-earth demeanor of the chef, who took the time to chat with us. Its worth mentioning they have a branch in Ottawa too. Do check them out for an unforgettable dining experience!

Excellent lunch, the food was very fresh and wonderful mixture of tastes. The only reason for the service 4 star rating, was for speed, it was lunch, so possibly a little speedier delivery, lovely young lady was very helpful. Definitely recommend.

Being the first Indian restaurant weve experienced in the Cornwall area, my girlfriend and I were very surprised by the high quality food and authentic flavors Wow India had to offer. It was honestly even better than most Indian restaurants Ive been to in Montreal or Ottawa. Whether you live in Cornwall or are just passing by, Id highly recommend dropping by for a bite.

Found this hidden gem while on business in Cornwall and so glad I did. Their food is fantastic and delicious, the staff including the chefs are very friendly and make feel like home. Im a big fan of byriani, of you are, you must try their Wow Biryani so delicious and the cherry on top is their Gulab Jamun....so good. In a few words... you must visit Wow India when in Cornwall. Keep up the good work...

The flavours of everything just amazed me. Every single thing served on the plate had its own flavour, dal makhni had a different flavour than i usually eat at other restaurants but it was amazing the way chef put together. Highly recommend if you like to taste variety of flavour on your plate.

Been few times here but this time me and my wife tried Chole Bature first time here. Chick peas were completely on raw side ;and also the gravy used is butter chicken gravy .So will recommend not to try this . We were offered to take some other curry but i don t think anything else goes with Bature.
