Saw a band after dinner last night and they were awesome.. food always excellent and service very very good. An excellent evening as usual.

Saturday around 6 p.m. we ate 4 adults and a child, we were seated in a booth, the air conditioning was too cold, we asked to be moved, we were told that its like that everywhere in the restaurant! after 5 minutes that we had received our plates, ALL of our meals were cold, iced, our coffees too. Its extremely unpleasant not to eat at a restaurant, 2 meals without extras and $65 later, the rest in a dish to bring. It was 20 degrees outside and 16 in the restaurant! Kid-friendliness: I dont see what was suitable for children?

Was here for mental health fundraiser! I did not eat inside but got a tattoo done by Peace Machine Tattoo! Staff were friendly and let me stay inside while waiting to get tattooed for it was raining!

I have already eaten in old Duluth but not in Cornwall we took to bring the salad was brown not edible then shrimp gratin with garlic I dont know how long ago it had been made but cheese hard as ice. The butterfly chicken shrimp plate the chicken was burnt but burnt. We ordered liquors but didnt get our liquors. We didnt even have any utensils wow really zero this restaurant at least to go out

Had reservations. Still waited 30 minutes to be seated. The wait staff was excellent. We were comped some appetizers. Not happy about the wait.

Food was very tasteless and my salad was missing ingredients. I tried to hale the waitress to send my food back but she was too busy. Apparently, they were far busier on a Thursday than expected and were short staffed. Not quality check after the food was served.

I enjoy eating at this restaurant, service and food are always good with no complaints and the pricing is very fair. The reason for the 4 stars is the last time I went in to purchase as GC, I stood at the front counter for 10 minutes without being acknowledged by any staff member. They were busy and working as I could see so I was patient. Finally a server recognized me and asked if Id been seen yet which I said no. When she came over I said I just wanted a GC. She walked away to get her manager and when she came back she said she wasnt sure how long Id be waiting for and the GCs are in the back room. The manager was in the back cooking. I chose to leave and not wait as she made it sound like I would be waiting for quite some time.

We were driving from Montreal and my wife suggested we come to this restaurant for lunch after google search. So pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere. Very clean, Joanne,our host, was so kind yo our 3 kids and really entertained them. Food was delicious and plenty portion. Plus it arrived quickly and had minimal wait. Loved everything about this restaurant. Hoping to get back there someday for special occassion. Thank you Joanne and the team. Kid-friendliness: Absolutely.

Really loved this place, you can bring your own wine. I had a steak and my wife had chicken brochette. I really love their potatoes, just amazing. Also the Greek salad was awesome large piece of feta cheese and lots of veggies. We ordered drinks and didnt hold back, our bill was $107 with a 20% tip, would do it again.

We went there to celebrate my 65th birthday. The service was excellent the wait staff very friendly and professional, the meal was perfect and I got a creme brulee on the house with a candle in it for my birthday which was a nice surprise. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The filet mignon is perfection

We brought our one year old Grandson and he was making a mess. Our server was very polite and told us not to worry about it. Parking: We have never had any trouble finding a parking spot. Thete is front, and back parking. Kid-friendliness: Our server and another on the floor were very friendly to our Max.

Pretty good place decor seems a bit dated menu is ok the shrimp au gratin was amazing. Felt a little cheesy that the menu was a placemat at fancy restaurant.

Lovely spot on a busy stretch of Cornwall. Service was wonderful and food tasty with large portions. Would suggest to add some local craft beers to the menu to further enhance the experience. Looking forward to coming back!

Be ready for huge servings, but we really enjoyed the food. Meal was good but Id go back just for the calamari and cheese cake!

Au Vieux Duluth is our favourite go-to for dining out in Cornwall. The food, service and portions are awesome, and the option to bring your own wine allows us to indulge without inflating the bill. We are treated well with every visit and always leave feeling satisfied! Highly recommended!

Maybe it was because it was a takeout order but for the price the food was minimal. If you like a very large amount of salad and 1 potatoe its your place to go. I expected way more.

I had a Lego piece in my steak. The staff was under the influence of something much larger then myself and he was playing a game of competitive Valorant. If this does not get any worse, the gentleman who served me spat in my hot cocoa for a cool down.

all I can say is delicious! we went for my birthday, I had the surf and turf, a lovely filet mignon cooked to perfection with 3 butterfly shrimp in garlic butter, nice roasted potatoes, rice and salad! definately recommend oh and the phylo dough with feta and spinnach is to die for! highly recommend anyone to eat there and their service is great too!

Don t go with anyone with disabilities. Went after a funeral. Food was great but server tried to take a plate of food from a disabled person because the other server gave the wrong food: she even yelled at him to stop eating. We had 3 disabled people, 2 seniors, kids and adults. She even argued to not give food to one kid because that was the food for one of our disabled people. She started off great and then this mix up all happened. We had at least 18 people and there wasn t much other staff that seemed to be on shift either. She didn t even offer to get the kid the correct food and seemed to try and give him food that the other guy already started to handle and eat! No discount and nothing but her arguing at the lot of us

We went for dinner, and were not disappointed. Our server was friendly and efficient. The meals were great and with very large portions.

The staff was very friendly and though we unknowingly stayed slightly past closing time, our server did not pressure us to leave and provided excellent service. The food arrived warm, well cooked and seasoned and the accompanying salad was fresh and crisp. They also serve very good potatoes and tzatziki. Would definitely return.

First time trying this location and was not disappointed. We sat on the patio and each ordered the chicken brochette, which was very good - not dry and over-cooked as typical in other restaurants. Our staff were great - Stéphane and our other server (sorry I did not catch her name) were very pleasant and did not rush us (in fact they eventually had to shut off the lights outside and go home ). We will be back.

I went to Au Vieux Duluth last night for dinner with my mother and children and was so impressed! The service was wonderful and prompt, despite how busy it was, and they were great with my (very energetic) young kids. I had the chicken brochette and cannot stop thinking about it. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and it came with a black pepper sauce on the side which complemented the chicken beautifully. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

I really like this place. We found it while driving through Cornwall on route to Ottawa and stopped for dinner. The service and the food was great (bear in mind, the portions are generous). The second time we were on route to Quebec and decided to stop for dinner again. Both the food and the service was again, wonderful. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love dining here. The food is amazing and made fresh that day. When there is an error with an order they go above and beyond to correct it. The staff make you feel like you are the only customers in the restaurant, they are very attentive. Cant say enough good things about this place.

We eat here every anniversary since we moved to Cornwall in 2019. Great atmosphere, food is delicious, service is spectacular and the owner is above friendly. Definitely a 5 star restaurant. Highly recommend.

Waitresses are very not polite. Rude from the minute you walk in. I dont want to asume that was because I am latino and my wife is black. From the minute the waitress saw us, she approached us and she indicated that it was a 45 minutes to wait but that she couldnt even take my name. Worst expirience I have in a restaurant.

My go to spot for dinner! Staff and service is always quick, attentive and friendly. Owner Alex is always present and attentive to everyone coming in and always up for a conversation with customers. My favourite dish is the filet and it is always hot and made to perfection. Lunch includes soup and soft drink as well!! Can t wait to go back :)!!

My daughter and I came down from Gatineau to visit family and had super at Vieux Duluth Cornwall. I was quite amazed with the quality, size and presentation of the plates. They have completely changed my opinion, after a couple bad experiences in Gatineau. Staff is very inviting and friendly as well. I highly recommend this restaurant! Coralie loved her chicken pasta, Thank you!

The food was amazing. Very fresh and served hot. The waitress was very good, even though she was run off her feet. The beef filet was cooked as ordered. The Neptune linguini was SO good. Lots of seafood, the sauce was a good amount. Will definitely go again.

Its alright but not as good as some people stated. Id recommend the filet mignon rather then the Greek style offers

We would certainly recommend this restaurant. We were a party of four and we all enjoyed our meals. They could easily cut down on the portions but I was happy to take the leftovers home. The bacon wrapped steak was cooked perfectly, souvlaki was tasty, salads were great. Hamburger steak was also done nice. The potatoes were to die for and we had a lovely little waitress with pink hair. Thank you and we will return for sure

Average service for our dinner on the outdoor terrace. Dinner on July 4, 2021 in a color zone that allowed us to eat outside but not inside. The outdoor terrace has been enlarged for this purpose. We were served by Melanie who didnt seem happy about making an effort to speak French. She spoke it enough though. She certainly did her best but we could have been one step closer and better served. We still left him a 15% tip after taxes. My wife ordered the plate of jumbo shrimp for $23.95 and it was a plate of tasty seafood linguine for $17.95 for me. My wife said her shrimp was better cooked to her liking on our last visit. $47.35 with taxes for a total of $54.46 with tip. We enjoyed our dinner overall despite the small downsides. A plate of two souvlaki skewers for me at $17.95, a plate of butterfly shrimp at $21.95 for my wife and a plate of chicken skewers at $18.95 for our son in addition to his rum & coke at 7.50. Total of $86.23 with taxes and tip. We really enjoyed our experience and we give 5 stars without any hesitation in recommending this restaurant. We offer you 6 photos. Either the chefs taste buds are dead or he doesnt taste anything he prepares. Everything was so overly salty. I sent my soup back and almost sent my pasta back because the chicken in them was also so salty is was barely eatable. Also, if Ontario Covid measures are anything like Quebecs, none of the measures were respected. We we surrounded by occupied tables on all sides. Servers dont even bother wiping down the debit machine between clients. Salt and pepper shakers never leave the tables so youre touching the preceding clients germs. Awfull experience. I wish we just got up and left.

Delicious food. Okay atmosphere. There was no social distancing at all and there was a family letting their children run all over the restaurant which was kind of annoying however that has nothing to do with the restaurant. Waitress was fantastic, super friendly. Her name was Amanda.

So great to experience fine dining in a lovely setting, after a long period of isolation. The s hrimp dish with house salad, rice and V.D. signature potato wedges were all delicious. Service was excellent, and the cook made regular rounds to check on clients satisfaction. Thanks Vieux Duluth! A bright spot in this weary pandemic.

If you like appetizers MEDITERRANEAN PIKILIA is the ideal meal.

I have been there, good food. However they changed their hours and put up an open blinking sign and when some friends and I came by to have a meal the host ignored us at the locked outer doors, and she didnt even get a glance our way to acknowledge we were there. The outside had no posted hours and the open sign was on, saturday at 3pm. They obviously didnt care about the disabled person that was standing in the cold because we didnt Google ahead of time to check their hours. I felt disrespected and wont be going back out of principle, i will not support a business that disregards the humans that they want money from. For their prices they should be able to afford a sign that tells the hours so people that struggle with walking do not have to get out of their cars in infinite pain to be ignored by the host or manager.

First time and the food and service was great. The atmosphere was clean and the vibe was cozy. I would recommend going.

Had never been before. I thought it was mostly a seafood joint but was mistaken. I have heard of some shoddy experiences but I had a good experience. Food learned towards a Greek style for me. Ordered a chicken breast meal, got a large good quality meal. Restaurant was clean with friendly staff. Would return.

Au Vieux Duluth is my go to restaurant in Cornwall. It is where I meet coworkers after work, get together with friends, have celebrations and quick lunches. Alex even started dinner and a show this year with comedians and other entertainers, its become date night too. Now, it is our stay-at-home restaurant with pick up and delivery. The food is always fresh, packed with flavours and large portions. The service is always perfect, the staff very welcoming and pleasant. Kudos to Bianca, Maureen and Joanne to name a few. Our favourites are butterfly shrimp, poulet au grilloir and chicken brochette. I love their house salad and my husband loves their ceasar salad. Try it out, you wont regret it!

Best steak in Cornwall

Food was adequate but a few things left a bad taste in our mouths. On the menu it states that if you want to share a main it s an extra $7..which seems ridiculous if you re not too hungry or you re not big eaters. We opted not to pay and ordered two entrees..neither of us finished. The Chicken brochette was very delicious. However my Traditional Pork Souvlaki was just mediocre..the salad that came with it was awful. Soggy and not fresh at all and was not the Greek salad I was imagining. Our server however was quite nice but we still won t be back.
