I think Ive reviewed this place a few times, and I have to say the food is consistently delicious. Dont let the chip truck facade fool you. The food Id very good. Im especially fond of their sandwiches, and they have the best onion rings in the area. The steak and cheese is amazing. Prices are good, and serving sizes are huge. If you havent checked them out yet, you owe it to yourself to go before they close for winter. Grab an entre, and go sit in one of the parks by the river, you wont be disappointed. Best onion rings I have had in Cornwall so far! Very crunchy and not too greasy. A quaint little outdoor area to eat.

The whole staff was great and the food was top notch. Thick bacon in the burger and well cooked fries. Sweet fries and regular. The poutine was amazing with a thick brown sauce

I got a pulled pork poutine. The portion was good but the fries werent cooked, the pork was cold and the gravy was barely warm enough. For $16 youd think it would be hot at least. Wont be back.

Delicious fresh ingredients. Everything had a flavor, wasnt bland at all, amazing portion size - too much to eat - was told good luck when it was ready and it was the best thing to say cause my burger was as big as my head. Wish I could add pics of it! Just go! You wont regret it...

Used to love this place. Lately the fries arent cooked so switched to Caesar salad but now theres hardly any dressing each time Ive ordered it, its dry salad. DO NOT order anything with chicken as their chicken is not fresh, it tastes worse than the frozen chicken you buy in a bag at the grocery store, chewy and rubbery. The only thing I can say thats good there now is their burgers.. but not sure well be back. Too many disappointments in a row.

The best burgers in town. I see it as more of a gourmet burger place as the flavors and ideas for burgers are exceptional. There is a picnic table to sit at and a lot of parking to eat in your car. Otherwise, you would have to take food to go.

Staff were loudly bickering back and forth, uncomfortable. Ordered a poutine and chicken wrap combo. The portions were large. The fries were not all completely cooked. Some were crunchy, semi raw. Poutine was not made with curd and the gravy was spicy. The bacon on the chicken wrap looked almost uncooked. We ate about a quarter of the food. Will not be going back.

This is a gem in Cornwall that we are lucky to have. Our favourite items are the steak and cheese naan, the Greek naan. The poutines are amazing. They have the absolute best onions rings in town. Always fresh and the service is the best.

Great good truck just outside of Cornwall! Plenty of different items that are original, not just your usual burgers, hotdogs and fries. We had the steak and cheese naan wrap that is more of a curried version and it was fabulous. The portion of fries is wayyy too generous though .

Absolutely awful, could not eat the meal. Fries were good but I had a chicken wrap that I couldn t eat. Chicken was basically a school eraser, not a flake of seasoning and complete rubber. Bacon on the wrap was so under cooked it was translucent, I had to spit it out. $20+ in the garbage. Never again will I eat from this place.

Had a Brisket Burger with Deep Fried Pickles! The food is amazing, the cooking was on point! I recommend this 100%

We went there for a break from driving, ordered Taco Naan. The staff is friendly and followed our order precisely, the food was tasty, and it was nice sitting outside as well!

If youre looking for a high-end chip truck, this is it very good? Extensive menu lots to choose from hot fresh food every time with friendly service, Certainly not your average chip truck, which is nice. Its always nice and clean. And has everything youre looking 44 a quick bite even some unique things Check it out you wont be disappointed and better hurry the seasons almost over.

Delicious food if you word of advice light on the jalapeños on the poutine un less you like them that much . but great food!

Loved the concept but were disappointed on the product. yes the portions are generous but the finish was disappointing. we were 4 and ordered a variety of items. the fries were not cooked through and the burger buns were soggy and falling apart. Im sure some more training can help up the game but this time it was a wash.

So... chef is amazing! Our go is the Mexican poutine and a the bacon burger they have. Everything is fresh and homemade. remember to wear your fat pants or adjustable ones as youll need them after visiting here.

Had the biggest burger of my life here and it was fantastic! I will definitely be coming back to try out some more things of the menu.

This a fabulous food truck! We had butter chicken poutine, beef brisket poutine, greek Naan and a burger with tons of onion rings! All 4 meals were great, huge proportions, 2 could easily eat one meal...if you like to share! Its not cheap but you are getting quality food.

Liked it ...definitely would go back again.

Owner was extremely nice and made us aware of guidelines. For a salad and a poutin was $33. Salad and poutin was a good size. For being a bacon BBQ poutine it had a nice flavor to it. Large quantity of portion for both salad and poutine. The three stars is becuase I thought they could have cooked the fries more in the poutine and the prices were a bit high. Not a cheap option but paying for quality. P.s salad to be smaller chopped.

My family loves the food there. Not only are they super friendly and welcoming, but the food is delicious and HUGE portions. We live nearly 40 minutes away but always make a few special trips that way for lunch in the summer. Highly recommend you try it out.

We had the fish and chips on Good Friday, it was ready for exactly the time we ordered it for and was so much food for an amazing price. Very very happy with the food and service!

Chef in a Bun is a serious craving! Service is top notch and food is fresh, unique and tasty! Portions are generous and price is reasonable and well worth it in flavours and quality alone. The only downside is that it is seasonal We can only hope an all season location is coming soon!

Chef in a Bun is like this incredible unexpected food oasis nestled on the scenic route along the St. Lawrence River. The food quality and taste sensations always leave you with that great food glow that one gets after an exceptionally satisfying meal. They also have plant based food options so everyone is taken care of. The quantities will have you full for sure, maybe even with some to spare, and the price it totally right. Honestly, its a whole experience. A great one. Especially in big part by the incredible hospitality, service and welcoming friendliness of the chef and staff. Great conversation is always available while you wait for your freshly prepared food.They are so great. I highly recommend.

One of the best poutines in town time and time again! Theres just something about that gravy! My favorite thing is by far has always been the buffalo chicken sandwich. I was a little disappointed that the chicken is now chopped up rather than a full grilled chicken breast, but it still tastes great and that house- made buffalo is better than Franks! Super glad theyre open during this time because it really is happy food!

Other reviews said it was good. We stopped in to find that the other reviews were wrong, its terrific! Had the Cornwallian hot dog with fries. Couldnt eat the whole thing it was so big. The homemade relish for the dog was out of this world. 5/5. Would eat there again numerous times

Not a fan. The food was so so, too salty for our taste, but that isnt unusual for a chip truck. We were going to try again but we just read a review from FB and the owner decided to personally attack a negative reviewer and insinuate that they are dumb. I do not wish to support businesses like this. Its one thing to set the record straight but personal attacks are unprofessional and my money is best spent elsewhere.

Ordered a fish n chip with a drink. Had them upgrade to a poutine. Fries werent cooked all theway but also tasted burnt. Fish was ok but soggy in the middle. Paid just over $19 for that?!? Will not be returning. (Got some mustard funky sauce instead of reg tarter sauce...yuck)

Really good burgers - very moist and juicy. Tip - try their dusted fries its fries tossed in Australian pepper berry seasoning. Gives the fries this smoked peppery depth of taste. Theyve been here for 8 years and have become a regular pitstop for people doing the Montreal-Toronto route. I can definitely see why.

Great food and huge proportions! Definitely getting what you pay for. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients they use. A must-go pitstop for anyone travelling along the Toronto-Montreal corridor.

Wonderful every year. This year was no different. The chicken supreme poutine was phenomenal. My daughter had the pulled pork one.... yum yum. My youngest daughter had the original, but in mini size.

Had my first Chef in a Bun experience this week. Food and service was fantastic. I tried the Buffalo chicken wrap with dusted fries. Both were delicious. Menu is a bit pricier, but absolutely worth the portion size and taste. Higher end than your average chip truck. I will return!

Friendly people. Ordered on the phone and the food was ready in 10 mins. Cheeseburger was good. The buffalo chicken wrap was really good. The fries/poutine were excellent and huge portions. Lots of leftovers. Only complaint is they served us burnt onion rings that partially melted the bottom of the styrofoam container.

Its ok. I just dont care for their gravy anymore. The flavor has changed & its way too salty now.

Excellent portions and value

I stumbled on this place by accident. It was freaking incredible. I wasnt feeling too hungry so I got the Naan Philly Cheese Steak. Now there are times in life when you eat something and it just gets better and better. This was one of those times. The steak, gooey cheese, delicious warm naan bread, peppers, onions all combined to make a delicious finger licking mess. I was able to score some pulled pork poutine from a friend...omfg was it good. Sad thing is Im not from Cornwall. But when I visit this will become a regular spot. For those that love food this place is a must.

Came here for the poutine, and I got the beef brisket and onion, it did not disappoint :) its made with home made fries, and was absolutely delicious. We didnt even have to wait for long.

Best poutine I ever had! I was told it was a monster when I got the family sized cheese burger poutine with extra curds. thats no joke, it was a warning lol its HUGE! Well worth the price just sad they close for the winter months
