On Saturday December 7/2024 We drove to Cornwall to pick up some family members and go out for Lunch, not familiar with Cornwall so finding a good place to eat was a difficult task. After careful consideration only because again not familiar with the area or where to go for a good home cooked meal. In saying that we took our chances and stopped here : Cornwall BBQ Unbelievable……the service was top of the line, the atmosphere reminded me of 20 years or more back home, the furniture was retro simply amazing. Most importantly of all the FOOD was amazing and I never give these kind of reviews but I’m going to tell you ….I’m a Chef and Most Chef’s are particular and I’m one of those Chefs. The food was out of this world, amazingly delicious, the portions were incredibly huge you definitely got your money worth and more. If you get a chance to go to Cornwall BBQ DO NOT THINK TWICE! Just go you’ll love it. The prices are also very reasonable. Thank You Cornwall BBQ you made our day! Cheers We will be back!
I'm from the States (Missouri) and was recently in Cornwall, ON, CAN. Cornwall Bar B Q has the BEST wings I've ever had - crispy without being greasy, meat still moist not dry. No need for sauce for these! The ribs -- don't even try to pick them up by the bone, the bones come right out. Perfectly tender. Fantastic service and friendly staff. I went back another day and had the ravioli with meatballs. The ravioli was delicious, the meatballs perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was rich, full of tomato flavor, but not sweet - a very nice change! Highly recommend.
My wife and I have been coming here for years. The quality of the food has always been satisfactory. Except this evening was the absolute opposite. The fish and chips platter was unappealing (fish was undercooked). Waited 15 minutes for the two pieces to be replaced. Instead of replacing the entire meal, fries included. They've only replaced the fish. Other meal was a small pepperoni pizza, the pizza dough was hard and overcooked. Not once did the waitress come by and asked how the food was, we're literally had to waive her down to comment about the quality of food. I spoke to the manager about the poor quality of the food. His reason for the food quality was basically because they were busier than expected this evening. I wasn't expecting our meals on the house, but a discount should have been offered at least. As for tipping the staff and waitress, that definitely wasn't going to happened. Waited nearly fifteen minutes just for our orders to be taken. After ten years or longer of supporting this local business. I have no interest in returning or referring anyone anymore to this establishment.
A bit outdated inside with dingy decor, but on the plus side, it lends a vintage feel. The serving staff were wonderful, friendly, and the pizza I had was DELICIOUS, fully loaded, not stingy on the ingredients. A bit pricey for just a medium ($25) but quality taste.
Being from Montreal, this was our first time at Cornwall BBQ. The reason we tried it was because the parking lot was full and it was only 16:45hrs. when we walked in we were brought back in time to the 70's. Place is clean and a lot of memorabilia on the walls, from sports, and Rotary Club. My wife and I both ordered chicken, she, a leg, and myself a breast. Perfectly cooked and served a top a slice of white bread. The fries are frozen type, but very good, the cole slaw is made in house, and the BBQ sauce is amazing. Dinner included soup and dessert which we did not have. Service was excellent.
I received delivery. My delivery was pretty quick, and the employees I interacted with were very polite. I ordered pizza and a chicken leg dinner. The pizza was very mediocre. The chicken, however, was very delicious. The fries were very good, and the sauce was okay (could have used more seasoning). The sauce was clearly house made, which was nice.
Love this place and worth the stop when driving between Toronto and Montreal. Ribs and fries were FANTASTIC… pizza was good, just not my style. Staff super friendly and the place redefines the word “authentic”. Can’t wait to come back
Love their place. Absolute love their fish and chips, pizzas and their apple pies and pumpkin pies. Not to mention their garlic breads are absolutely heavenly. Went here when I visited Cornwall, will definitely come here and dine again, when I come to Cornwall again.

Definitely not what it used to be, which is very sad, me and my family used to love coming here all the time. Food is very mediocre. The chicken soulaki wasnt very good. We waited more than 30 minutes for 2 meals. I would much rather go somewhere else with my money.
The food was great. I had a double chicken leg meal superb. Service was awesome.
I m from the southern United States where they are serious about barbecue. With various types of smoke flavor (Apple, hickory, Mesquite) that melts in your mouth. This is not barbecue, The ribs were flavorless, almost as if they boiled them and coated them with a very plain barbecue sauce. Their side of barbecue sauce that s a House recipe is downright awful. Nothing about the meal was worth talking about unless you re taking note of the fact that it was all awful. Everyone should go to Walmart and get a bag of applewood chips and smoke themselves some ribs and forget about this place. Once you taste real barbecue, that s been smoked to perfection you will never go back to this place again. And that s all I have to say about that. Parking: Plenty of parking because nobody was eating there at 6:30 in the evening.
What are the best places to eat in Cornwall and the price is really reasonable
First time here we came in from ottawa visiting the area for the day and we were hungry and picked the closest place to us at the time. Friendly place quaint with a nostalgia feel.
Ordered full rack of ring got half of and 2 bones got charged 32$ saint Hubert it from now on

We eat here quite often and the food is good. But I have one complaint and I had to really think about if I wanted to post this but I feel its important. One waitress (and older woman maybe in her late 50 or mid 60s) hard to tell, DOES NOT wash her hands hands after usign the washroom. Twice now Ive gone in the washroom and shes in there and shes used the toilet and walked out both times without washing her hands. Its disgusting quite frankly.
Did delivery for a large all dressed no green pepper $ 32.20 TX in plus chicken club sandwich with fry and coleslaw $20.60 TX in. Total $52.80. Clubhouse sandwich was ok lots of meat and fries. Pizza was not as good, dough tasted Iike it was a frozen preformed dough, cheap mozzarella cheese not cooked like it should . The pepperoni and sauce was good. I expect better for the price I paid. We may or may not try it agian to see if they redeem themselves.

Anytime I am passing through Cornwall this is a must STOP and eating location. Chicken will beat st.hubs any day of the week. Home made gravy, perfect fries and love the bread the chicken sits on when presented to you. It perfectly soaks up the grease and is the tastiest part of the meal. Takeout and delivery are also at best quality but I personally enjoy sitting in the restaurant. Handicapped friendly and lots of parking. The soup of the day is included in your meal and is worth it. If you happen to see this you wont regret eating at this lovely establishment and a staple of Cornwall tradition.
Best restaurant in Conrwall
Joined a group of friends and family at Cornwall Bar BQ for lunch on Saturday. The food was good. Both my wife and I had the rotisserie chicken with fries. My wife liked the Cole Slaw. It wasnt overdressed or too watery. The staff was very good. As a party of 12, the service was very quick and served at the same time.

I ordered pizza and it was the most pathetic pizza I have ever ordered,I would have been better off with a frozen pizza,at least it would have had more toppings and been cooked all the way through.Gave up on the chicken after seeing the reviews!

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, and Ive been eating here for nearly 25 years. Something has changed significantly in the last few months. The quality of food has dropped significantly, and theres been a big increase in price. Apparently this is due to new ownership. I understand the need to raise prices; its the drop in food quality that is most bothersome. There seems to have been a complete or near-complete turnover in staff (front of house and kitchen). I am happy to support new owners in their endeavors, but whatever is going on in the kitchen is not what it used to be, at all. Such a shame. I very much hope that they can return to the previous quality, as I really did love going there. To be fair, the server was very friendly and prompt.
Cornwall BBQ was absolutely delicious . The food was perfect , the taste was on point and the portions were perfect . The staff was warm welcoming and friendly . Its a definite stop on our travels from now on . The inside and atmosphere is quaint , and a little old school but that just brings back the dinners of the 90s kind of feel .

Chicken was great. Got a Greek salad instead of the fries and was upcharged $8.50 with no warning of the upcharge. Menu said you could get fries, rice or salad. Waitress didnt warn of an upcharge that was more than 1/2 the meal price and owner gave me a hard time saying he has signs warning of raised prices. I had only been there once many years ago and didnt know their prices. Gravy and bun were just OK. Probably wont return. Also, if you are looking for a fine dining atmosphere, you will be disappointed.
Went and got 2 chicken dinners and although it tasted fine it was dried out chicken no where near what I expected for $40.00! I wont be back
We all ordered chicken which was very good. I dont recommend the brown sauce and the fries were average. Dont be fooled by appearance because the food is good. The toilets are relatively clean. Good experience, I recommend this restaurant. Kid-friendliness: There is a nice childrens menu
I have not been to this place in about 10 years or more. It is absolutely delicious. The chicken was super moist and the ribs fell off the bone.
Chicken was delicious so juicy and omg that bbq gravy I could drank what was left! Serving sizes were nice and big we all left so full and had left overs. We were very impressed with the whole experience our waitress was also amazing!!

Weird restaurant, it didn t take long to order and get food but fries were cold. Chicken was hot as if it had been microwaved and couldn t touch it for awhile until it cooled down. My utensils were dirty and looked almost as if they d been poorly washed and the food was decent but after I had a very upset stomach. Wouldn t recommend going here unless you have a strong stomach and are prone to sickness.

It was ok. Chicken was great, ribs not so much. Kids had spaghetti with meat sauce, wasnt great. Didnt see any actual BBQ on the menu either, ribs from the oven, chicken rotisserie, no brisket or pulled pork. Wouldnt have been disappointed if they were called Cornwalls Best Chicken Joint cause their rotisserie chicken and their wings are the best.

Genuine 5 star restaurant, the atmosphere is relaxed and feels a little like a time capsule, the waiters are friendly and happy people and the food is great! Big portions combined with delicious food means a great stay!

Ordered a small all dressed pizza with tax now 20$ insane!...last time I ordered 16$. Barely any pepperoni or toppings soggy did not taste like the usual pizza I have been ordering for years or a couple of months ago. Obviously they have changed and cheapen their pizzas. The chicken has probably changed too. Sad it was always my go to and dependable not anymore. Probably changed owner. Will not be ordering anymore from Cornwall BBQ
Friendly place to eat, great staff, and amazing dishes! Succulent bbq chicken, the fries were great and the coleslaw, YUM!. Star Noodle soup was impressive enough to have two bowls. The dessert was rice pudding and was delicious! Overall wonderful food and staff, and the bbq chicken has St Hubert beat! Thanks folks!
We spent the night in the town and found the restaurant through Google reviews. It is a well-established local restaurant with plenty of delicious food and is worth trying...
My wife and I have always eaten or ordered out at Cornwall BBQ since 1977 and the food and prices was always great. The people and service is excellent. We would recommend it to anyone you wont be disappointed at all.

Spaghetting with meatsauce was awful. Tasted like HP sauce . I didnt eat any of it . Waited 20 minutes until the waitress came over to check on me at which point my partner was almost done eating so I left starving . Waitress didnt take it off the bill and was quite rude about it . Basically said its fresh so its not my problem . The bathrooms were awful . Womens toilet didnt flush. Mens were completely filthy and looked like a dead rodent laying on the bathroom floor .

Cornwall BBQ has great food. The staff are nice and helpful. Unfortunately the place is quite dated amd the washroom are in desperate need of a renovation. We took my dad there for his 75th birthday. None of the family have lived in Cornwall for many years now but he wanted to go to Cornwall BBQ for his birthday so we went. The staff were very accommodating Parking: There is a fair bit of parking on site and on street parking right beside the restaurant

There was blood on the wall by my table, and the washroom was absolutely disgusting, when the condition of the washroom was mentioned to the owner, he completely ignored it. Do t go here if you dont want to get sick

Felt at home, stopped in passing through town. Great value and the portions were great. I would recommend this to anyone passing through or staying in Cornwall. I will be back on my next trip into town.
I really enjoyed this place, nice alternative to St-Hubert plus more. Prices are fair, great to bring kids. My only complaint is the non existent choice of microbrews on tap or in a can. Even one choice would be better than none.Unsure if its related to the pandemic and not keeping kegs , or its just theyve never served it there.

UTTERLY UNDERWHELMED I felt compelled to write a review after eating this food... I ordered take out from here and got the ribs & wings combo with a Greek salad and a drink. When I arrived home, the drink I ordered and paid for was not in the bag. Bad start. I think the food was sitting out for a while because it was quite cool, despite me arriving 28 minutes into the 30 minutes they said it would take. The ribs - meh. The bbq sauce isnt all that good, but at least the meat was tender. Their chicken wings are decent, but I was surprised that they do not offer any specific wing flavour, nor any dipping sauce. The fries were plentiful but couldve used some seasoning. The sauce they came with i did enjoy. Finally, a plain ol slice of white bread. Mine had a good side and a stale side. The greek salad looks far superior on the picture displayed on their facebook menu. The main disappointment was the lack of dressing. The second was the absence of purple onion, which is pictured on the menu but no where to be seen amongst the abundance of romaine lettuce, the thickly sliced tomato and cucumber, small pile of olives and pickled ?friggitello peppers. The two strips of feta cheese i can say were at least fair in terms of quantity. Overall certainly not worth $17.50 He entire meal for-one was over $50 (though there are leftovers) it would be nice if they offered smaller sized side salads... Highlight: the coleslaw was yummy.

The food is absolutely delicious, five stars. I would definitely go again if in the area another time to try another dish. If you want a good looking ambiance, it is a bit oldish but ok. But mens bathroom needs an upgrade (looked clean but definitely needs an upgrade). Hence 4 stars. ;-) Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu; generous portions.

Placed an order at 6:40, finally arrived at 7:20 ice cold. I immediately called the restaurant to complain. I asked why the food was not in insulated bags only to be told none of the drivers have insulated bags and delivery took so long because they were busy (not my problem). If and when they are busy they should hire more delivery drivers instead of 1 driver trying to deliver hot meals to 20 or more customers.
