Couldnt make any other comments because we couldnt get in! Had 9:30 reservation (wasnt necessary btw). At 9:40 we called the restaurant asking if they were open. Owner/ manager said someone should be there and then suggested we go down the side alley to knock on the backdoor to be asked to be let in...would have tried it except for sketchy person hanging in the alley. Spinners around the block worked well for our breakfast needs.

I ordered off of lunch specials menu, never again. I ordered the Reuben sandwich. It looked delicious but it wasn t a Reuben . It had raw onions, no sauerkraut, a very salty dressing that I did not like. The meat must have been heated in water because the plate was wet and the sandwich dripped as I picked it up to eat. The fries ended up soggy as a result. I usually enjoy my food here.

Had very good friends from Ottawa visit last Sunday. We made reservations. Edwards Bistro did not disappoint. Rosis spring rolls were delicious! The pizza was amazing and Ive never had such a tasty chicken tetrazzini. The atmosphere was so relaxing and Rosi was so delightful. The lemon cheese cake was to die for! The food is fresh and the presentation is first class! Kudos to Jason, Rosi and Edward. Edwards Bistro has gained new patrons from Ottawa.

The pizza was absolutely horrendous. Im sure it was a frozen pizza crust, probably why it only comes in one size. The smokers platter was awful tasting,the only flavour was smoke. The dining room was empty at 6pm on a Friday, that was the first sign. I expected much better from the reviews I read.

Muriel and I were cooked an amazing breakfast. Rosie is a wonderful person who you can feel how much she loves her restaurant

Found this gem on the way to Quebec City. Absolutely worth passing all the chain restaurants. Food was incredible, service was fast and Owners were very friendly. Highly recommend

Wife and I stopped here for lunch for first time. Pleasantly surprised. Great food. Varied meny. Friendly service. They have 16 parking spots at the back. Delicious meals. I had smoked brisket with fries and ceaser. My wife had ruben sandwich with mixed salad. Brisket is smoked on site. They make their own saurekraut for the ruben. Parking: 16 free spots at the back

Our first time enjoying the Asian buffet dinner. A wonderful variety of delicious food. As always the service is impeccable. Parking: We arrived at 5:45 pm on Sunday and parked on the street across from the restaurant.

We enjoy this restaurant. Overall a good experience. Last time we went though, I was disappointed that they only had table dhôte options and no menu options. And it was not advertised on their website. We werent that hungry and were forced a 3 course meal. Also there were no vegetarian choices on the table dhôte menu which was very disappointing.

This is a second visit. Outstanding. Edwards Carbonara, and prime rib with Mashed. I inhaled my dish as did my sister with hers. Rosie you are amazing. Thank you for accomodating us by letting us order lunch. We will be back again. Spring rolls phenomenal.

I had their Eggs Benedict along with their house salad and I absolutely loved it. The service was outstanding and they also had free-flowing coffee. The prices were very reasonable too. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family and would love to come back again.

This is a great place all around. Its great when restaurants have the owners right there to ensure you have great food and pleasant service. Ive tried many things on their menu, and nothing has ever disappointed me. They do seem to fill up quickly (always a good sign of a great place), so if youre going during a peak time, it might be good to book ahead, either online or by phone. Parking: Parking can be a little difficult. It is on a major artery of Cornwall so parking can be a little tight. Id give yourself a few extra minutes to find parking and then walk.

We went to Edwards Bistro for dinner and it did not disappoint. This is truly one of Cornwalls hidden gems. The food and service second to none. We will definitely return.

Dropped in for the Sunday Chinese food buffet, generally we are very generous with reviews but this is the truth of our dining experience. Not sure if Sunday is the main cooks day off, but other than the spring rolls, everything else was either tasteless or not edible. In comparison Jack Lees would have produced a better meal and that said, puts this on the low scale. Not sure if I would take the chance spending dollars on a steak meal there now. Service was excellent, but you cant eat service

We discovered Edward s Bistro while travelling back from Montreal and what a pleasant surprise! The food and service were excellent, the portions were generous and the prices very reasonable. The staff was amazing and even insisted on giving us one of their forks to enjoy the takeout dessert that we ordered for the road. We will definitely make Edward s Bistro our go to stop when passing through Cornwall!

This place is all about the food! Best eggs benedict of all time, and an ever-changing menu that is always delicious. Highlights include burnt ends, Rosies spring rolls and dumplings, chicken cordon bleu, and even homemade ketchup! Scratch kitchen with great prices and always something new! Wonderful fresh desserts! Bring your own wine.

Food is good, not exceptional but good. Prices are really good for the quantity of food. The porc ribs and beef brisket were dry but okayish. Wings were crispy but need seasoning. Carbonara pasta was good. Chocolat mousse cake was really good. Amazing service!! The waitress was so nice and kept smiling

We were at the cornwall hospital hearing nothing but great things about Edward s Bistro, we were so excited to try it , I called after the delivery eager to try some good food and was told that take out is only Monday to Thursday, really said since it s the same thing as eating in , just put it in a box . Hopefully they expand to doing takeout as there are people that cannot actually dine In .

Edwards Bistro is FABULOUS! The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was out of this world! My friend and I were pleasantly surprised to find (on the recommendation of an other local business owner) such a culinary delight in a small city. I will definitely be going again.

Had an exceptional dinner this evening. All meals are great, atmosphere is great, service is great. So glad to have Jason, Rosie and staff back.

Husband and I went for dinner tonight and it was amazing. The three course meal was fantastic. The owner noticed I wasn t eating my food but was eating my husbands. She asked me if everything was ok, I said it was - she went above and beyond and pressed me on the issue and I said I wasn t a fan of the cordon bleu. She replaced my meal with the lamb shank (which was what I ate half of my husbands). We will definitely be back not only because of the good food, but the excellent customer service is above all too notch. Thank you!

I went in the morning for Brunch with my mother and brother. We were greeted very warmly as soon as we walked in and were seated right away. The coffee was hot and good (good start) I ordered the Bananas Foster French toast, I would highly recommend it especially if you have a sweet tooth. My brother had the Breakfast Poutine which he described as very Yummy and my mom had the 2 eggs, sausage and home fries. The sausage was a tiny bit dry but admittedly had she gotten a yolk egg instead of scrambled it probably would have been better mixed. overall an excellent experience. Will be going back again

The food was great, but the owner is very disrespectful and not service oriented. He was so totally off based and should never speak to customers. His wife was a darling who served us. He is incapable of serving more than one person at a time instead of a few people at the same table.

We were a table of 6 and we all ordered different dishes and all were extremely tasty. All made fresh in house. The quality of the food is superb and the pricing is in line for what you are receiving. I had the beet salad as my appetizer and lamb shank as the main. So full, I took my cranberry cheesecake to go! Excellent and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

It is a nice place, they are very attentive from start to finish, I love the type of food I have tried so far, the chicken has a delicious flavor, I enjoy every bite, the vegetables, salads, potatoes are very delicious and the dessert is a delight .

Me and my friend both started with beet salad and caprese salad. You can t beat the freshnesss!! For our main we had a burger with poutine and brisket plate. I will have to say that was a juicy and flavourful burger with the candied bacon!! It is definitely a restaurant you can go every week and try every dish and be very pleased

My girlfriend and I went for an early brunch, we were greeted very warmly by who I suspect was the owner, Rosie. She also served us and was very attentive. The food took longer than we expected but then my girlfriend pointed out it was from scratch so the wait was reasonable. I ordered the French toast and it was to die for, though extremely sugary. ;) my girlfriend ordered the eggs benedict with bacon and they made sure to give her homemade ketchup for her home fries which was seriously delicious. Coffee was decent, prices were fair and the staff were wonderful. Lots of seating available, but doesnt feel crowded. We were able to use our laptops after our meal and spent a good deal of time talking. No rush to get us out. Overall, would highly recommend and it may become a permanent fixture in our lives!

The owner is extremely rude ! His wife is the sweetest, I didn t like my dish and politely made a comment about a weird taste of butter. I was ok with returning the dish and paying for it obviously without any issues, but seems like you re not even allowed to not finish an unpleasant dish in there because the owner comes to us in the most agressive way asking what problem I have with his butter and saying: now what you want me to throw your dish in the garbage ? Then just turned his back on us and left. I have seen many other reviews pointing how rude the owner is, I can only confirm that !

Fantastic food at an incredibly competitive price for Cornwall. They often have specials, and I find those specials to be a great deal. I would highly recommend making a reservation first, cause sometimes they are booked solid. Apparently you can now bring your own wine for a corking fee, Ill have to try that.

Im pretty sure all the good reviews are fake ! Believe me this is the worst place i have ever seen, food is terrible and the cook/owner is the rudest fatest a$$ on earth

Stopped in for brunch and what an amazing little restaurant. Everything was homemade, from the breads and desserts right down to the ketchup. Chef Rosie came to chat with us and she could not have made us feel more welcome. Enjoyable experience from start to finish. We will be back!

What a delicious experience! Not only for the food, which is something else, but also for the staff! It is quite tiny but it is incredibly amazing!! I was there with some friends for a brunch and we all loved it! We are definetely coming back!!

My friends and I were just visiting the city and we re lucky to find it, as the only place open at the time. We were amazed by the service and food. We ordered eggs Benedicts and it was delectable, fresh, and mouthwatering. As a plus, the price was really inexpensive if compare to the quality of the experience. A special shout-out for the Chef and the attendant who were really amicable and interested in making our experience unique.

We found this high rating restaurant on Google. It looks a husband and wife business. The dining area is bright and clean. We had a Sunday brunch. We orderwd Egg Benny with smoked salmon and an Atlantic Salmon with hollandaise. The eggs are cooked easy over which satisfies my taste. The soked salmon is soft and tasty. The hostess is very friendly. She even made an offer to give us free coffee for the road. We talked to the chef and understand the raw material was selected carefully. We had great experience in this restaurant:-)

We attended during the Thursday Italian Night This comprised of a 4 course table dhôte for $30/person. It started with a small charcuterie board. The mushroom risotto was fine. The arancini was fantastic. We followed up with the seafood linguine monterosa, and the chicken tetrazzini. We preferred the seafood monterosa over the tetrazzini. The dessert was excellent. Staff was very friendly. We will return.

Mixed plate of food from Edwards Bistro. Went with my work friend and we ordered a bunch of things. Made a mixed plate to display it. (we had already dug into everything as we were excited to try it all) They had a Chinese food menu on Wednesday. I dont remember the names of everything but Ill try my best. We ordered spring rolls, chicken wings, general tao chicken, beef and broccoli, a bbq beef (forget the name) and a side of white rice. The food was 10/10 as well as amazing service.

Decided to try Edwards Bistro and sorry we hadnt gone before! We were greeted by Rosie and taken to a table on the top level where we could see outside. The food was amazing, the price was excellent, the service was better than anywhere else. We are definitely going back!

We stopped here on our way back from Montreal to Ottawa and we are so glad that we did. All of the staff was so friendly and its a really cute and charming place. And the food was amazing! Definitely give it a visit.

We booked for 7 p.m., after 40 minutes without having received a drink and being ignored by the only waitress in the packed restaurant. We are leaving and very disappointed with the cold welcome given by the employees. Golden rule number 1: always serve a drink, we will be able to wait more easily and exceed a hundred dollars. We went to spend it at the Swintzell next door where our drinks were served in less than 3 minutes. This restaurant is in dire need of a manager. Im offering myself as manager.

Heard lots about the place and finally got to try it. The place is very clean all the way from the entrance to the very washrooms. Very cozy inside . You are greeted by extremely friendly Rosie which makes sure that till the minute you walk out you are totally satisfied. The food . Well I went twice so far and withheld my review to the second time , just in case and I must say it it what it is - extremely yummy . It is inexpensive considering you have a full course meal from entree to delicious deserts . All made right at the establishment. And the ice cream - it s a wow ! Home made wow . Will be frequenting this place for sure . This is a must try :) enjoy

ONE OF BEST RESTAURANTS IVE EVER TRIED !!! The combination and quality of ingredients are just top notch!! As a main dish I had chicken cordon bleu: the sauce had a light bleu cheese flavor with a touch of lemon, bacon, with an excelent quality chicken breast. My husband had bbq ribs with a very natural smoked taste and crusty fried potatoes also with an insteresting bbq touch. We had entries and desserts of superior quality too. Even more: they present the dishes like if you were in a very fancy place, but in fact you are in an affordable restaurant. Plus, the owners are charming and so attentive to service. You can not ask for more: 10 of 10 !!!

We ordered the smoked meat sandwiches with small poutines combo, fried bihon/beehoon noodles with chicken and a cranberry white chocolate cheesecake for a pickup. The service was friendly and fast; when we arrived the order was already packed on the counter. Here s why I m giving only 3 stars: The smoked meat sandwiches were great but maybe a refreshing side salad would ve balanced the meal better than a poutine. The gravy for the poutine was very salty, only the cheese curds and fries were yummy. There were no vents on the containers so the spring roll was flat and soggy - good thing it was a tasty spring roll. The noodles were sweet and salty - not very Asian. The cheesecake was placed on top of hot food in the same takeout bag - the cake was warm and cream cheese layer partially melted. But after chilling it for a bit, we enjoyed the delicious cake after our salty dinner.

My husband and I were on our way back to toronto after a wonderful Vacation in gaspe. Overnighted in Cornwall and checked top restaurant reviews. Loved their story about naming their restaurant after their 8 year old son and husband and wife team. We like to support small businesses so we made an online reservation. They only had a 3 course fixed price menu. We had the salmon and veal. It was delicious and home cooking at its best. Loved the carrot cake, cheesecake, spring rolls and dumplings. Jason and Rosie work hard and you can feel the love and pride in making your homemade meal. Very warm and genuine people. We also met their son Edward. Adorable! Lots of locals go there and they have won numerous awards. It was a nice break from the chains. Very good value for the portion sizes.

Great food, friendly service. After a long drive we were searching for fresh ingredient, just cooked and healthy meal and the Edwards Bistro did not disappoint. It was a bit off our way but meals, generous sizes, reasonable price and above average flavours well compensated drive off the highway. We chose from two of several daily specials - tasty and imaginative. I regret that living a couple of days driving away will make our return visit not possible for a while. In our opinion it is a definite five star restaurant. (Sep. 2, 2022)

We ordered our New Year s Eve meal from Edward s Bistro. The food was absolutely delicious despite being delivered to our home. We generally go out but this was a real treat and the price was more than reasonable. Appetizers were ample and the main course was more than we could eat. We saved our awesome desserts for the next day. We will definitely order again.

Lovely family restaurant in downtown Cornwall is a must visit place. Almost everything served there is home made, including the ketchup, jam, buns, pastrami, desserts, etc. Good-sized portions of dishes made with a twist are priced extremely well and the service is friendly and personal. Jason and Rosie will treat you very well. p.s. try the lemon cheesecake.....its awesome!

Ive ordered from here a few times and ate in once, and every single time its been amazing! The beet salad is my new favourite salad, and the poutine is some of the best Ive ever had. You can taste that they use a meat based gravy, and it makes all the difference in the world. They also dont skimp on portions, and Rosies spring rolls are to die for! Love you Edwards Bistro!

My film crew and I ate here for lunch for 3 days while filming in Cornwall. The service was amazing, the meals were always hot and delicious. The owners take such pride in their food and make their bread fresh in house, use ingredients from their garden. It was a great place to eat, thank you so much for having us.

Ate there after they first opened and the food was amazing. Unfortunately customer service is a zero. Two incidents while trying to make reservations. Firstly we tried to make reservations on New Years eve. The online reservation setup was a nightmare. Constantly sending us on a wild goose chase to confirm. In the end I decided to call directly to make reservations. I was then told by the owner I can only make a reservation online. I guess in todays age speaking to a human to acomplish a task is not practical. Needless to say we went elsewhere for New Years. We decided to give it a second go for valentines. We did all the proper procedure as per request. There was still some confusion and instead of our 7pm reservation which had been confirmed for 4 people it was changed to an 8pm reservation. We had in writing requested upstairs which we also had confirmed. When we arrived they were only expecting two people and they only had a table downstairs. When we spoke to the owner he was rude and disrespectful. We were told he couldnt guarantee a table. Im pretty sure thats what reservations are for. Thats it for us for Edwards bistro. We went to schnitzels and had a fantastic evening. Thank you very much. If you wish to keep your customers perhaps you should think about matching your customer service to the care and quality you put into your food!!

We are from Sarnia visiting our family here. This little gem has wonderfull delicious food!!! Will definitely visit this place again.

Best ketchup and breakfast in cornwall. Plus they roast their own coffee beans so the coffee is phenomenal and they sell the beans to take home!

Ordered the Table dhôte for my parents for Mothers day. Seeing that I live in Laval Quebec and my parents live in Cornwall; I wanted to do something special even though we are dealing with a pandemic. Found this restaurant online and saw the excellent reviews. Decided to take a chance! My parents could not rave enough about the food. I ordered beef Bourgignon (my mom said the most tender beef she ever had), chicken Cordon Bleu (also out of this world). Desserts were carrot cake and sugar pie and again they raved about the desserts. Thank you so much for making this holiday special!! My parents have now discovered a new restaurant to eat at. I cant wait until this is over and I too can try your wonderful dishes. Will be visiting your restaurant in the very near future. Stay well, stay positive!

We looked at the menu online before leaving home. knowing what we wanted. get there and its not on their menu. we got the steak but I dont think it was the same as on the online menu .plus it was 3.00 more.my husband didnt look at the bill till after he paid.if I would of seen the bill I would of said something.the waiter was off.said it was his second day, not sure if ever, or only this restaurant. dessert was fantastic as usual. they really have to have 1 menu that is both online and in restaurant and same price on both. im still debating if we will be back.

Almost ran into Rosie at the door while she was looking after her guests. A. Full Covid proctected house. Great to be back after our last time on Valentines day. Delicious imaginative choice of entrees, main course and dessert. All for the price of the main meal anywhere else. Very friendly and helpfull Team.

Telephone order for pick-up: impeccable customer service on the phone and in person. The smoked meat is excellent. 2 downsides: the smoked potatoes tasted really too smokey only 1/5 people liked it and the fries are more than ordinary, room for improvement.

My friend and I have been pretty much regulars since finding the gem of a restaurant in downtown Cornwall Ontario. The owners Jason and Rosie give you a very welcoming and homey feel when visiting.The food for the price is mind blowing reasonably priced. Every dish Ive tried so far has been a experience to my taste buds Recently I tried a pulled pork sandwich and before this I wasnt much of a pulled pork fan. Well let me just tell you this Jason has now turned me into a fan. I also had the beet salad .

Cook/owner was horrible to the other employees in front of customers. It was unacceptable. Very toxic work place. Response to owner comment - Unfortunately you have me mistaken for someone else. I didnt stay or eat at your facility and I wont ever after I saw how you treated your employees. I left because I dont support business that function this way. Your response to this is unfortunate and if someone came in to your restaurant and move anything a good course of action would be to politely education them on the new protocols like every other establishments had been doing so. People would respect your policies especially during covid.

Food was excellent! Felt bad for our server. The owner was very gruff with him and seemed very grumpy all around. Even on the phone with me concerning our reservation. Treat people kindly, its much more productive. Questioning now if I want to go back. P.S. It had nothing to do with our seating arrangements nor with the Covid, 6 people are allowed per table as of Friday Nov.6th. It was about your treatment to staff and attitude towards customers.

We had the Filet mignon and the Seafood, with entree and desserts. We both loved it, great meal at a fair price. We will be back. Thank you

Saturday nights here are a 3 course menu with several options, many of which look phenomenonal! Itll run you around $50 a person with a drink, but the place is nice, and at least on the night I was there, a favorite for senior citizens
