Wow! Good value, great service and the food was delicious. The table was nicely appointed and the conditions in the room were very comfortable.

If youre looking for a fantastic place for breakfast buffet. Look no further... Great breakfast, its quick, lots of options. My family of 4 goes often, there are plenty of options for even the pickiest of eaters. We leave stuffed and its usually around $50. No dishes, no waiting... Give it a try

We actually never ate at the restaurant itself but weve ordered takeout so many times I didnt count them. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, the food is amazing. Weve tried many meals: fish&chips, roast beef dip, chefs fettuccine, seafood fettuccine, Buffalo chicken wrap, fish tacos.. .. all excellent. Service is also great and fast.

We were there for the mothers day ! a group of 22 ,and it was phenomenal. Great service with pleasant staff, good variety on the buffet menu, buffet area was a little tight and restraining line was long and slow moving.. but good enough for a return visit ..

The server Trudy was again a pleasure and made the lunch experience even better! The lunch itself was excellent ...try the fish and sweet potato fries !!! A terrific experience

Just had dinner at this restaurant which we frequent while in Cornwall. We are from Toronto. Todays experience was poor. Service was just OK, food was good, and price of beer (Stella) absolutely ridiculous at $12.95, plus tax, plus tip. Beer was underpoured (below line on Stella glass). Complained to waitress who said their beer prices were lower than most places in Cornwall (absolutely false!) Tried to find out name of Manager to complain to and was given the run-around. We were told that restaurant was not part of Best Western, and was totally independent. Yet, we finally got name of the AGM (after expressing our concern with several staff), who has a Best Western business card. We plan to email complaint directly. Probably will not be back given this overall bad experience.

This place is a hidden gem. Had to go to Cornwall on business. Stayed at the hotel. I typically dont eat at hotels for a million reasons...but this place was packed when I arrived to check in. My entire stay I ate here for room service and in the restaurant. Very friendly staff, cozy lodge like atmosphere. Great beers on tap and great wine and drink selection. I had ribs one night, literally fall of the bone and good portions with house made bbq sauce. The house salad with my favorite pickles onions with the mushroom pasta the next night agian delicious! Im a foodie and I would stay and eat here to try more dishes. Great find in a small town..

Everything was very good here - haddock tacos big thumbs up by all who tried them & same for the rest of the appetizers ordered (no mains ordered this time around). Staff was great to - thanks to all for a nice evening.

Terrible. Everything was frozen or precooked and reheated, and very overpriced. Not worth any money. Service was very good though, and nice.

It is a lovely family restaurant. My wife had the fish and chips and it was really good. The next morning, we had breakfast. The service ran like a clock.

Food was exceptional. Deep fried pickles were amazing. My husband had fish and chips and I had fish tacos. Both dishes were super tasty. Our server Linda was friendly and offered great suggestions. We had a leisure meal in the comfy chairs after a long drive and she never hurried us out. Would definitely return here next time we are in Cornwall.

They weren t even busy and my beyond meat burger is literally raw lol. What the hell is this! Paying 20 dollars for a restaurant meal yeah I get it I get take out but this is messed up. yeah I m vegan so what? Me eating a raw beyond meat burger can still make someone sick. I hope the owner sees this. As if nobody cares about vegans this messed up. Good thing I looked at it before I took a bite. Vegetarian options: Horrible they didn t even cook it

Our team stayed at the Best Western in Cornwall, the restaurant on site, Hops & Barley, had a great buffet breakfast with fruit, breads, muffins, hot selection of eggs & sausage or bacon, yogurt, oatmeal. The lunch and dinner menu was varied, fairly priced & delicious. Highly recommend stopping for a meal if in the area!

Absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and the food is amazing. Even the wine list is very nice. We totally recommand. My husband had the Buffalo chicken wrap and I had the Chefs Fettucine.

Staff ignored me finally got up and ordered take out for dinner. Breakfast different experience friendly staff great service.

A bit tricky to find via the address on the website, as there does not appear to be any signage at the Best Western (Its inside the building! Google maps provides a little more info.), but well worth a bit of trouble. Great service, nice atmosphere, cold beer, and very good food. Will definitely be back!

Breakfast staff was great. During the evening, slow and seem lost. Couldnt even pick up the phone. The food was good.

I have nothing to say about the breakfasts... they are great and the staff is lovely. I had dinner here during my last stay and it was nice (in the summer)... albeit overpriced. But this time around was quite terrible... I ordered chicken wings for my 4 year old who wasnt happy with the kids menu options, and ordered MILD wings of course for him. We got our food after a very long wait and my son just tried the sauce on the wings and they were spicy. We all tried the sauce with our fingertips... they were not super spicy, but had a real kick nonetheless. I asked the waitress if we could have kids pasta as a replacement and I explained why, she said of course. We waited SO LONG that my kid was almost asleep by the time we got it. I had to ask for it in a takeaway container. Then I saw that I was charged for a whole plate of wings! Not a single bite was taken out of them and they were NOT mild. The waitress apparently spoke to the manager but he wasnt accommodating. Afterwards I even noticed they charged me $2 for the mashed potatoes that COME WITH my chicken!!! They were in the description! I didnt ask for them! Anyway, I was furious, left a note, but nothing was done and I ultimately had to pay $95 for a meal for one adult and 2 children... AND we spent about 2 and a half hours there even though we ordered less than 10 minutes after arriving. Never ever returning to eat an actual meal I have to pay for here.

Supper Saturday December 10. Very busy, very very slow kitchen, an hour just for appetizers. Wine is very expensive. Two orders of ribs were burnt, not eatable & not paid for. Would be to long to reorder. Disappointed to say the least. Will be a long time before returning.

Nachos had one nacho with cheese maybe 2 max. Onion soup best Ive ever had. Chicken Wings not bad and cheap. Limited menu due to reopening after Covid closures but didnt mention this when I reserved. Less than 10 people is restaurant and when we were ready to order, they ran out of steak. Staff Friendly.

We went for our anniversary the service was excellent the food delicious we had escargot and seafood Alfredo with marinara sauce which we asked for and they accommodated us and it was perfect

Honestly didnt know what to expect when when we arrived. We were met by Michelle our server who was so helpful, polite and kind. The food was amazing with the fish tacos being some of the best I had. My wife had the chicken wrap and couldnt stop raving about it! But in all honesty the highlight was Michelle who exchanged drink recipes with me and was beyond cautious with my allergies. She brought the experience from an 8, to a 12. We thought this would be a quick stop over and Michelle made it such so that were already planning to visit again, next time wee visit the east coast. Thank you again for everything we will be back soon!

Four of us had dinner here on the patio. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service. They allowed us to bring our puppy on the patio and the server even offered her a water bowl which was very nice. We will definitely be back.

The club sandwich was PERFECT

Worst meal ever. Ordered French Onion soup, turned out to be mushed bread with no broth. I was asked by the server if I wanted more broth, what the heck to add to the mushed bread. So disgusting! Also ordered Chicken Fettucine with Alfredo sauce, there was no visual of any sauce so bland...First time dining here, impressed with the decor, then the food came...so disappointed. I was thinking that the Chef called in sick and had to settle with a staff member. I had to post a star, I wouldnt give any. We were going to come back with our huge family, until the food arrived.

What is happening to this place? We supported them all through the beginning of Covid19 and everything had always been delicious. We have gone twice in the last month and the quality and consistency is laughable. The bacon cheeseburgers we ordered were extremely overcooked and dry with one small strip of bacon on each one. We ordered 3 club sandwiches, one on a wrap. Two of the sandwiches costed $4 more each then the menu said and the wrap was the right price but made completely differently. The club sandwiches had guacamole, a (sad) strip of bacon and nice white chicken breast. The wrap (which they forgot and promptly made in 3 minutes) had only brown chicken meat, lettuce, tomato and mayo.. no bacon and no guac. This place is going downhill and it was once our favourite spot, its really sad.

Ive been here a few time for family events (mothers day brunch, wedding etc..) and dont like the food at all. The service is friendly, its clean and the cocktails are priced reasonably but the menu is just an average pub menu thats even below the standards that youd expect at a chain restaurant. Its 2018, but the menu seems like it was made in the 90s. Why not source local ingredients and make innovative, fresh , healthy, flavorful dishes? My family lives in Cornwall and seems to choose this place for special occasions purely because of the formal-ish decor and lack of options, but it really isnt worth trying.

Food was good, excellent waitress. She had all our orders ready and brought to the table almost at the same time. Great job as we were almost 20 people

I came here a while ago and didnt like the food at all. On the recommendation of a friend, I came back and I have to say the food quality has improved significantly! It is now up to par with the decor and the service and very much worth the cost. Nice!

We have been going here for years. Celebrating our wedding 30 years ago, Anniversaries, Birthdays and even celebrated our loved ones life when passing. So when we wanted to reserve somewhere for my daughters graduation from nursing, there wasnt a question on where we celebrate her special day. The food again did not disappoint and the service was above & beyond as usual. Big kudos to you Peppermills for once again putting smiles on our faces and being part of another milestone in our lives.

The food was ok. Had Shrimp and fish and it met the expectation without being fantastic. The service was horrible but at the same time dependant on who your server was. Cindy is perhaps one of the worst servers I have ever had. I believe she would be amazing at job that isnt customer facing. Management needs to be more aware. In the mean time I will continue to wait for service.

The wait staff and decor are good But the food is just awful. I will never go back to this lousy restaurant . there were overcooked and undercooked pasta mixed together on my plate(how does that happen?) , lobster that got served to us in an inedible state and some of the worst appetizers ive ever been served (frozen boxed mushroom appetizer i suspect) and very dimly lit so you cant see the problems...avoid this restaurant at all costs
