Everytime we visit Cornwall we stop here for the BEST lunch in Ontario! The Pad Thai is superb, the Jerk Chicken is amazing, and the goat curry is exceptional. Try all the dishes. Small menu, but everything is high quality and authentic. Also, the weekly specials (especially Thursday) are not to be missed!

I got the shrimp rolls and my husband got the oxtails. Both were great and the owners are very hospitable and engaging with the customers. Will definitely be back

Got the jerk chicken and curry goat. The jerk chicken was good. Very much what you would expect, nice and just a little spicy. The portion was great. The goat was something else. Very tender. The seasoning was excellent. The portion was more than enough. I could barely finish the plate. Cant wait to try the oxtail.

First and foremost the owner here is a true gentleman, making sure the service and expectations of the customer are met. Got the oxtail plate and they dont play around with the portions here! Tasted amazing with multiple flavours from the oxtail, rice, plantains, and salad hitting you at once. Unlike other places, the oxtail here isnt just all bones so its definitely worth the money. Parking: Got to pay for parking on the street. Sure you can find some public spots within walking distance though.

Omg! Thursday is my favorite day of the week now! Can I shout out, Pho! Its a masterpiece! Thai combined with Jerk! It doesnt get much better than this! Very friendly and accommodating owners. I have yet to eat in because my hubby brings the food home for me. Obsessed! I order in at least biweekly. Our 20th Anniversary was celebrated with this menu!

Hands down the best jerk plate in town. Im from Montreal and I can say I felt like I was eating in N-D-G (MTL). Fooooood was bomb!!! Worth the drive! Really recommend this place! Good Portion! Jerk was amazing again and that curry goat...a must!!!!! It was melting in our mouth! 20/10 no joke!!!! Owners are super cool!!! Great folks!! Bonne Continuation!!!! I had the Yellow Thai Curry with chicken, which I thought was delicious! My husband enjoyed the oxtail. Great portions and very reasonably priced. We will definitely go back.

Our experience at the Spicy Pearl couldnt have been better. The food was excellent and the portions were large. We got the oxtail stew platter and jerk chicken platter. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and the restaurant was attractive and very clean. What a wonderful surprise to find a restaurant of such high quality in Cornwall!

Great food and great staff. Despite the name, few things are spicy. They provide hotsause for you to adjust your prefered heat level. Servings were a large size and great for take home. Atmosphere inside was casual (lunch vibe) so if you are looking for something formal, try somewhere else or do takeout. Great food you cant get anywhere else in town.

Had a heartful lunch. Ordered a Jerk Chicken plate which in itself was yummy looking and whole. Eagerly hungry me ate all the chicken and was left with rice in the plate. Guess what, Chef brings me a bowl of Goat Curry and said it is on the house. Best service ever. Must go.

The food was good but the owner shouted at his wife within earshot of the customers, which was unpleasant (not to say it would have been better if we hadn t heard him as he should not have been shouting at all).

Best restaurant in Cornwall!

Food is very good. Oxtail is very similar to Brazilian oxtail, but with a Jamaican touch. The dish comes with rice and beans, fried bananas, cooked plantains and fried bread. Great option for lunch.

Yada and Roger were extremely kind and accommodating! We tried the oxtail dish, jerk chicken, and curry chicken - Great portions, delicious sides, and delicious spices & sauces! The atmosphere was very cozy and bright as well. Would definitely recommend :)

You should change open hours in google. I ensure to arrive before closing hour 4pm and by 3pm you were already closed.

By far my favorite restaurant hands down. Been coming here since they opened a few years ago and the food, service, and staff are always amazing. When it comes to quality they are second to none! If you havent tried them yet, youre missing out. Food : 5/5

I hosted 2 Montreal relatives for lunch here this week. Raj, the owner, was a delightful conversationalist, and shared stories of his origins in Jamaica. The food was spectacular. We chose 2 Thai dishes, and the Jamaican Oxtail Stew. All were spectacular! We appreciated the intimate ambiance and friendly atmosphere. Wishing this husband wife couple much success with this restaurant.

We stumbled upon the Spicy Pearl looking for a place to have lunch. What a pearl it is indeed! We ordered a Thai and a Caribbean dish and it was wonderful. The food was good, the goat meat fell of the bone (the chef gets up at 5 am to stew the beef) and the sauces are all made in house. The presentation of the food was wonderful too. The owners are not upselling anything, which is really nice. This will be our place to go the next time we are in Cornwall again.

Honestly the BEST and authentically made jerk chicken I have tasted! We had the pleasure of sampling the curried goat and had a plate of oxtail, fall-off-the-bone delicious. Amazing relaxed atmosphere. So much hospitality from Roger and his wife, kindness and love all around! Will come again to sample the Thai cuisine, cant wait!

Omg! Roadtripping from Quebec with the family and we went to try out this restaurant as it is right up our alley. This gem of a find did more than impress us. I had the stewed chicken with rice and peas and my husband had the curry goat. The kids both had the Pad Thai and it was all just incredible. Never been to a restaurant where I actually cried because it was just like my moms cooking. Being from St. Vincent Ive had plenty experience with stewed and curry meats and with no word of a lie it was like sitting down for a home cooked meal. Absolutely fantastic experience and we will certainly be going back.

We had the oxtail and jerk chicken with a ting (grapefruit soft drink). It was delicious!!!!! The owners were super friendly and also made us try the goat curry, so good too!

Wow! That meal was amazing. We had the jerk chicken with all the fixings as well as the chicken pad thai with vegetable spring rolls. We took it to go. The presentation was beautiful, the flavours were delicious (my first time trying Jamaican food, loved it), and the portions very generous. We will definitely be back! Thanks Roger and Yada!

Love it! I was craving oxtail, and I thought I wouldnt be able to get any in Cornwall until I found this gem. I went for lunch between my break, it was so good. The oxtail was not spicy at all so I put some of their hot sauce on it and it was so good! The people there are so friendly and lively. Im not from Cornwall, so this food really made me feel at home. Their fried dumplings are the best dumplings I have ever had Only thing is 1) i wish they closed later then 6pm 2) i wish they delivered! Overall a great experience.

Super friendly people and amazing food. I havent had Caribbean food this good in years. Takes me back to my childhood in Scarborough. I grew up poor but there was nothing poor about those aspects of my childhood. The building I lived in for years as a kid was 15 storeys of Ethnic diversity I didnt know then that not everyone is raised learning about so many cultures. We were just kids hanging out with each other . You want to get to know about a culture break bread with people and I can promise you will learn a ton about who they are as people and what there traditions mean to them. Anyway enough rambling please dont take my word for it. Try it for your self!

Was in Cornwall for a day and decided to try out this place out.The restaurant specializes in Caribbean and Thai food. Whats great about this place: 1.The owner and Thai lady working here are really nice people. 2. Having visited Thailand a few times and tried authentic Thai food, i can honestly say this is one of the best Thai food i have found here i Canada. The Green Curry was so flavourful with the right amount of heat. 3. The springs rolls were FANTASTIC. The real game changer really is the sweet/sower source that came with the spring rolls OMG!! so so GOOD i kid you not! 4. The portions here are big enough. You really get a bang for the buck What could be improved 1. Im a big fun of Oxtail. The oxtail here was OK but not great. I thought it lucked some flavour and a patch. Something that makes you come for more was missing. A little bit of hit and a few balanced spices will definitely elevate this meal.

Well it s official I ve now found a really really good Thai restaurant and what do you know it s close to home, I called this lovely little restaurant today as a newbie and ask the gentleman what he would recommend all I can say is the service and the food and the feeling was awesome I highly recommend thank you, GOOD HEALTHY FOOD, And some awesome conversation...

I had one of the most delightful lunches today, all thanks to @the_spicy_pearl. Lee surprised me with the Chicken Curry dish and Caribbean rice & peas (which is rice and beans) The chicken fell off the bone and was flavourful. But, that dumpling is life-changing. I will dream of dumplings from this day forward. My tooth buds were excited for the next bite... thank you for not only a scrumptious meal but a great first time Caribbean food experience. I m sure to go back and often. Does anyone want to do lunch tomorrow?

An absolutely wonderful eating experience. The service is far and above the best I have ever come across, and the food is sublime. The full view of the kitchen gives you that at home feel we all look for in restaurants, and Roger (the cook) is more then happy to discuss the dishes with you, he radiates passion for the island style cuisine they offer. The front man and manager Lee, is so genuine and polite that you cant help but smile after being in there for five seconds. His hospitality is exactly what you want when going into a new establishment. The location is easy to find, and offers lots of parking in the surrounding areas. The restaurant itself is decorated with an eye for Carribean atmosphere, and they exemplify that feeling perfectly. It is extremely clean, and makes you want to go back again and again. Best place in Cornwall, a joy all around.

Went for the first time yesterday, owners were great, friendly, and fast service. Took my order to go. Generous portions, flavourful, with many extras included. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu. Shared this info with my coworkers and they are anxious to try it too. Definitely hope they are here to stay for a long time.

A wonderful addition to Cornwalls restaurant scene. The place itself is warm and inviting, the owners are wonderful and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the curry goat. Im already looking forward to going back even though Im currently sitting on my couch in a food coma.

Walked in hungry left happy. Lee showed me to the best seating and explained menu. Having looked up menu online I chose the Oxtail. Want to have full flavour of meal I declined any hot sauce. Spicy Pearl did not disappoint. Full rich, cooked to perfection ox tails with rice n peas, plantain and vegetables. My palate was savoured with comfort. All for $16 I had water with meal. We came from Montreal for the old fish and chips place that was here; and we re very happy we stayed for the Caribbean! We had oxtail and the chicken curry both were excellent and we cleaned our plates. Warm charming service as well.

The meat really is off the bone and delicious. Service was fast, courteous, and excellent. Cleanliness standards were superb! I had the oxtail and goat. The oxtail was my favourite, although both were great. Also the price already includes tax so its easy to figure out. I would definitely go again!

After trying the jerk chicken and curry goat, I can safely say that The Spicy Pearl is now my go-to spot anytime I visit Cornwall. Ive had caribbean food from Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa and The Spicy Pearl beats all of them. Not only is the food great, but the owners passion and energy comes through in every aspect of the restaurant. The Spicy Pearl is a breath of fresh air in a world full of soulless chain restaurants and establishments that are afraid to use bold flavours. 10/10 - Cant recommend it highly enough.

Even during these troubled times, the food here is top notch. Firstly, they have a completely safe process of getting into, paying, and getting out of the store. No handles touched, tap on debit, door opened for you on the way out. Now the food: soooo amazing. Just sooo good. The jerk chicken is spiced just perfectly. The food smelled so good that I completely forgot to take pictures, and I do not hate myself for doing it. My new favorite restaurant in Cornwall.

100% 5 stars! With reviews this good, you can t help but be a little apprehensive when trying out new things, especially in a place like Cornwall (no offence). But maaan, this place totally delivers! I had zero affiliation with either Roger or Lee before my first visit, but I d be thrilled to have them over for a beer any day of the week. The warmth I received from Lee on the phone is only matched by the warmth that s left in my belly after one of Roger s meals. I absolutely and unequivocally recommend this place to everyone in town. It is unique, it is authentic and it is fresh! C est juste trop bon. Je recommande fortement le restaurant The Spicy Pearl à vous tous.
