Bad bad service!! Food tastes horrible!! Iv never seen them boil my chicken for fried rice ever at any one of these places but now this one does.

This place is the worst thai express. Asked for food in bowls they didn t even though we paid extra. Asked for mild came super spicy. General Tao chicken was just rice with 3 pieces of chicken on the top. Super disappointed Food

The food was terrible , I had the number 4 , I added extra chicken so it ended up being 26$+. It was so salty and had no resemblance to general thai from any other restaurant in this chain. I would stay away from this location at all costs , really bad.

Horrible experience. The lady who takes orders doesnt let go of a smile, barely looks at you and talks to you like a dog. This is perhaps how she views customers, given the food she serves: it looked like dog food! I had a chicken green curry, the chicken had no taste, the sauce tasted stale, and the whole thing had a very questionable goo. I barely touched my dish, it was disgusting.

I hope there is option to give -100 star. Worse Thai Express in this country. Food

Absolutely gross, seriously needs to be reported to the health department, I went to bring back my order because it was made wrong and she put it back into the pan (my already eaten food) and makes the next order in the same pan. Thai express has serious sanitation issues and poor customer service because that did not fix my order. I will not be going back again.

Person who took my order was eating chips and touching her mouth and face. She started making food without washing, and her hand touched the food she grabbed with tongs... I just left. Food poisoning is no joke.

Ordered some general Thai with mango as a take away, I didntget any sauce... Quite a boring meal.

Horrible customer service, the lady working was rude and no manners. She even yelled at customers behind me. Food was poor quality to what I usually get - minuscule amount of chicken. Had to ask for napkins and it was like I was such an inconvenience. Do not recommend.

First and last time at this particular Thai Express. I could deal with the lack of customer service but my favorite dish (usually purchased at the Kanata location was a huge disappointment. My stir fry dish is usually served with crispy fish, this one was saugy and mushy. I don t plan to go back unless I see new management. Saturday at 5:00 pm and I was the only customer there.

I would wager that this is the worst Thai express in Ontario. The cook, who is the manager is one of the rudest people I ve ever met - complete disregard for customer service and the quality of the food is so bad I wouldn t even let my dog eat it. I honestly don t know how the franchisee leaves these people the run the place or why they are even still open. Go anywhere else unless you enjoy a full day of an upset stomach. My visit today has made it so that I will never step foot in a Thai express ever again. It was so horrible I needed to get a refund, which I ve never ever had to do before. When I asked to speak to the owner or anyone with a brain, I was met with confrontation and inane comments. Zero care for food quality, nonexistent customer service - Im honestly shocked I caution everyone; literally go anywhere else. I would rather flush 20 dollars down the toilet and starve over going in and ordering.

Told them first time there .staff didnt want to help tasted burnt. My wife asked for mild and got super spicy. I order super spicy and got mild. Will never return nor recommend it to anyone. AND $5.oo for a water......

Cashier was extremely rude,did not want to give us extra plates for our spring rolls(shared) and they were out of napkins. Told us they had no more and spoke very rudely. Cashiere looked like her face would crack like old pottery if she smiled. Seemed irritable when my wife asked a few questions. We entered in a good mood and left irritated. We surely won t return to Cornwallis Thai express. 2 thumbs down.

Absolutely horrible food. Ordered Pad See Ew and the ew part was definitely correct! As someone who frequently eats Thai food quite often from other Thai restaurants, this was by far the worst experience Ive ever had. The noodles were soggy and mushy (this is where the ew part comes into play for me. Rice noodles should be somewhat firm!), the chicken had a taste of freezer and was extremely chewy (yet another ew). The entire dish was completely flavorless. As for the staff, they were very uninviting. When I asked the spice levels, I was given an eye roll and then listened to the staff talking (the manager included) about how they didnt want to be there. I watched as other customers walked in and the manager shake her head in very obvious discontent. I will definitely not be back, EVER. Four bites in and it made its way to the trash. Waste of both time and money.

Avoid this place. I took a vegetable pad see and there was 2 small broccoli pieces and a couple of carrots and onions. They charge 5.35$ for a combo. Ridiculous prices and bad quality.

I love Thai express but this place is a disappointment and needs a real reevaluation on staff. The woman we dealt with was rude, over spiced our food and undercooked my pad Thai. She didn t address us when we were standing there and walked away from us then she proceeded to answer the phone and not address us until after she was done. Overall one of the worst experiences I ve had at pad Thai.

Food quality saferd in the last couple years but service is good but the Atmosphere also has not been the same for a while I wish it would go back too like when they originally open.

I ordered a #3 red curry with shrimp. It was the worst meal I have ever had at this location or any other location. The curry sauce was brown instead of red and lumpy. Awful. Hardly no vegetables except for mini corn. Will never eat there again. Sad because I love Thai food.

Ordered beef pad Thai as I always do in Ottawa. The beef was tough and tasted old. There was no tofu in it and when I asked later they said it doesnt come in it you have to now pay extra yet it was still listed on menu. Noodles were mush. I will not eat here again. NOT like the original owner or Ottawa chains at all

Absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service I just experienced. I asked for the vegetarian sauce and the employee argued adamantly that they didn t have that. For a good minute we went back and forth. After yelling multiple times across the restaurant for another employee they eventually found the sauce. Honestly I don t think I ll ever go back which is unfortunate because I have always enjoyed the food. For $16 to be treated like that, and receive mediocre food was mind blowing. Absolutely no reason to argue with customers just because you re unaware of the options that your serving. Partner went to ask for napkins as the dispenser was empty and when he said Excuse me.. the same woman whipped around and very rudely said What! Then threw them on the counter. Vegetarian options: You get treated poorly for daring to request.

So, i used to go here often since its one of the few vegetarian options for fast food in town, but after today I will not be back. I requested extra tofu for my pad thai, since its usually a little sparse, and paid the $3 or so for the upcharge, which is no problem. Waited for 15 minutes, and shortly before I went to get my order, the front staff demanded I pay an additional $0.35 charge since they had to give me a larger bowl. I had already paid, and tipped, so they made me pull out my debit card to pay an extra 35 CENTS for a larger bowl that I did not ask for. The manager was standing right there, and she is the one who made the poor cashier ask. They refused to just give it to me, which is what any good business would do since it was their mistake, I didnt request a larger bowl, and it had already been 15 minutes that I was waiting, and I tipped FAR more than 35 cents. Im really disappointed, and wont be going back.

I always ask for this restaurant before the covid it was impeccable service, the staff has changed and it has become rubbish, the quality of the dishes is no longer the same, the servers are not friendly, in addition to serving you not good food, burnt or not fresh and when you claim the owner is not cooperative.

Very nice experience at this restaurant! Even though there is no possibility to dine in at this time due to Covid restrictions, the takeout service was impeccable. The timeframe in and out of the location was great. The personnel was helpful and patient. The tap works fine for Interac but for credit card, you need to manually enter the card credentials. Location was well lit, cozy, clean and spacious.

First and last time I go to this place unless they change all the staff. All three were rude and annoyed that I wanted to order and they had to get of their phones. The food was trash and clearly not made with any effort. I m upset I even have to give it one star.

Gave me the wrong order, which is fine it happens, but when I said that this wasnt what I ordered, politely, the older lady working there told me I was wrong and that this was what I ordered and raised her voice. Being in front of other customers I didnt want to get into an argument already so I took my food and just ordered again... Also forgot to give me my drink and she said I didnt order one until she checked the receipt. The other staff were very nice I would like to point though

Combo 8 advertises as Chinese broccoli but this is a lie.. besides that the food was really greasy.. very unfortunate I enjoy the food but this was very bad taste... Beef was weird tasting as well

Waited over a half hour for our meal, kept partially completing our order and pausing to take new orders from the cash. Very miss managed.

Staff did not wash hands before preparing food, and was even handling personal cell phone prior to. Disgusting.

Had lunch here yesterday was extremely disappointed in the portion sizes .13 dollars stir fry for one scoop of rice and 10 veggies .the soup was also extremely greasy .the staff was also extremely unhelpful and rude will not be returning.

Very rude women making my order. She yelled at me because I had requested my rice on the side with my green curry. I explained that I was not going to eat it right away as I was traveling. She then started banging bowls around and shoved my order on the counter and said HERE. Unbelievable. Green curry sauce seemed a bit off also.

Service is slow. The server tried to charge us for extra onions when we ordered thairacha with no vegetables except for onions. You have to watch the register. We also didnt get any plum sauce even though they said there was plum sauce in the bag. We ordered pad se ew as well. My son asked if the dish was cheaper without a protein and they said it was the same price! There are better Thai restaurants in Cornwall.

Went here for dinner ordered a number 4 and a extra container of plain rice I paid for i didn t get the rice so I asked where it is and women starts raising her voice telling me that s not what I ordered when I had to go back to counter to pay again cause they messed up my order the first time And the wait was too long to be express restaurant and I never got my rice 1 star

I walked in too Thai express tonight as I was craving a fried rice with chicken - walked up to counter and said hi! No response. The older lady was on her phone not even acknowledging the fact that I was there. I waited for about a min for her to say something before I walked out with no food. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will never return to this location.

Update: Nothing changed. When you submit the feedback response like the person asked me to do on this comment, You get an email from Anna saying, they are looking into it. But not helpful. **************************** Very bad service. Placed my order (which was 28$), it came with a siracha hot sauce (a small sample packet) and when asked for one additional Siracha - she said she won t give it. I asked why, she said More money . I said for what- hot sauce? She said yes. I asked her, where I could I find it on the menu.. she said no menu pay me . Her name was Lee. Very very bad rude service (From Lee). How come a restaurant franchise hire her? Unbelievable. Not coming back. Read all other reviews, everyone pointing bad things.

Cant find the store number, but its the one in Cornwall ON. I eat here every week. I always order tom yum no coriander. I have gotten an order of it with coriander before when asked not too, and then emphasized to the same woman (always working when I go) not to put. Today I went in as usual, ordered it, took it out to car, went back in to use washroom, there are 3 at this location, told that theyre all broken, when I asked how all 3 could be broken at same time, the guy cleaning said that thats just the way it is I go out to car to eat, take a nice big bite of coriander and pitntheblid on and go in. I ask for a refund because frankly the no bathroom and coriander infuriated me enough that I just wanted a refund and go elsewhere. I was refused a refund, and they told me they cant refund it if its what I ordered. It was Tom yum, yes... hold the coriander. The same woman who made it took it from me, and threw it in garbage, then refused to refund my money. I left, without a refund or a soup which I didnt want anyway. Furious!!! Also, last monday when I was there, someone left their crack cocaine e-cigarette apparatus next to the interac pos, and 6 days later, its still there. I have a picture to prove it. Dunno what to say further

This location has declined in the last year. Customer service has gotten worse and I had a poor hygiene experience here. Employees were cleaning the overhead vents while cooking food in the wok below. It could have just been a one off but I lost my apatite after seeing that.

Gave me the wrong order and refused to correct it. I wanted 2 spicy General thai and a regular he gave me all regular and told me he would give me hot sauce. They spent more time on ordered that were for skip the dish then in store customers. Waited at least 25 min and there was only 1 person in font of me... Food was awful

me and my friend went there asking for chicken thai soup and they made something completely different, we kindly asked the girl for the soup. she started yelling at us being rude saying no you ordered it take it couldn t get a refund or anything. we also called making a complaint but nothing happened. the employee was very rude rolling her eyes and yelling, i wished i asked for her name.

Gentleman that works there is great but the older lady is a nightmare to deal with. We have being going for over a year, gentlemen gives great customer service and everything always tastes great Went last weekend, got home to find out the general Thai chicken tastes awful, went back and told them they either put the wrong sauce or something was rancid since it was so sour. Young gentleman said no problem I will refund you, older lady kept asking what was wrong with it and gave me attitude, Ive never had a complaint but its unacceptable to argue with a customer if they tell you something is wrong...

My wife and I had the misfortune of trying this place, the food was awful I barely ate it, and it took too long because the old Indian woman was on the phone yelling at someone most of the time and she had a bad attitude like it was our fault she was miserable.

I gave a one star so I could leave a comment, otherwise, a ZERO. Last evening I witnessed the lady chef berate a staff member in front of customers. One, there is a time a place to SPEAK to your staff, not YELL. I cancelled my order and asked for my money back. The lady chef was just glaring at me. Three or four times I asked for my money back. I said to her, if you treat your employees this way, how do you treat your customers. Ill take my business elsewhere. I will never return. Im very sorry for the young woman that was berated by this woman. I wish you peace.

This location doesnt have any chilies. Im in shock given that the spice level is a core element of this chains menu.

Great place to eat. Staff are super friendly, my only slight issue would be the propane taste in the food on occasion from the high flame on the burners. Only occurred a handful of times and remade without question. Overall great experience

New trainer charged me $2:50 extra for crispy chicken in my pad Thai. The trainer told her it s only a dollar extra for it which I known as I ve ordered this way before other times. The trainer then went and seen it in the cash and then said no it s right when it clearly wasn t because she was too lazy to refund me the money owed to me. Won t be going back.

Place was FILTHY! 2 people working. But we were the only customers. Sauce all over the counter where the sauce and drinks were. Limes looked like they had been sitting there for weeks and were slimy and browned. We requested fresh ones and she gave us a speech of how the person before just threw them there and didnt care so shed cut new ones... she took the tray and went to the back and we waited another 10 minutes for her to come out and go out to the dinning area and clean tables. When questioned about limes she stated shed do it when she felt like it... are you Kidding me???!!

Veggie poke bowl is my absolute favorite fast food, so delicious and way more nutritious than burger and fries!

I was not particularly thrilled with Thai Express, although it is good if you want fast Thai, as the name suggests. There is a Sushi Shop in the same space; I tried a poke bowl at the Sushi Shop and was a little disappointed; I am using to loading my poke bowls up with lots of toppings, but the toppings are set.

I found paint in my food. I have photos. Found in my general chicken thai.

Edit: Since posting this review over 4 months ago and boycotting this restaurant for months prior every single time we go in they go above and beyond for us. I mean super friendly attitude, asking us how our day is going and warm smiles. This is the exact response I was hoping for. Kudos! Understand that the food here is good, however we order through BonApp and every 20 or so orders it rewards us with a free meal, we still have to pay for the meals that we are ordering, but in addition to that in restaurant we are supposed to be rewarded 1 or 2 meals of choice (equal or lesser value) and despite the fact that we have shown the franchisee guy how BonApp works and the rewards system he *flat out refuses* to honour the rewards and demands that I call YMG group to deal with it. I believe that this is not at all my issue to need to deal with as he is uneducated about the deals that YMG group has with BonApp. Additional to this, when we order 10 meals we get a free spring roll and fountain drink, which they DO honour... The words frustration & confusion dont even begin to paint the picture Im trying to paint. I will consider changing my rating when the franchisee honors the rewards system instead of making me have a 20 minute argument in public every time I get a reward.

Wanted to order a sushi combo, but wasnt able to adjust the items to compensate for my alergie to crushtasions. Not very accomadating to a customers needs. Ended up eating Thia instead.

Its difficult to rate this place because Thai Express and Sushi Shop are together. Ill rate them separately. Sushi Shop - 2 stars I have been to many Sushi Shops before and this is by far the worst. The ingredients are fresh but they are so stingy on the fish that it takes away from the experience. The miso soup is extremely salty. If that was all, I would still continue going, but I have had 2 bad experiences that have led me to decide not to go anymore. The first was when I ordered the tartar. There was so little fish that I could barely taste it. The second was when we ordered the tuna balls and they were so completely covered with spices that they were incredibly salty and we could not eat them. Both times I said something (it was that bad) and the chef seemed so annoyed with me and did nothing. Their sushi is too expensive not to taylor to their clients (I always spend about $50 for 2 people). I will not return. Thai Express - 4 star This place is exactly as advertised: good food, good prices, fast and efficient service with a smile... I will continue to go! Well done!

As always, awesome food from here. The fact that they make it right in front of you really makes a difference.its always hot, fresh, and made to order. Everything from the fried rice to the crispy beef is just full of happiness.
