Lovely italian restaurant on Monkland. The food was excellent. I loved my fried calamari. Crispy and tasty. The arancini were amazing. Not too dry or hard. The pasta was al dente. I would definitely come back!
Arrived for a rather late lunch but everything was excellent. The service was good, the pasta eas super delish. My wife requires complete gluten free food and they accommodated very well. Small but very quaint, they also have a nice patio outside. Parking could be tricky but likely can find a spot in the residential streets and have a tiny walk. Highly recommended.
I’ve been to this place twice the first time was a year ago and i didn’t like it i thought it was average pasta that i could have made at home. I decided to give it a second chance a year later with a new menu i thought it must be better unfortunately i found out it was in-fact not better but like last time mid. My pasta was over salted which was disappointing because if salted well it could have been so much better. i also tried the mushroom fettuccine it tasted like nothing but black truffle. the black truffle overshadowed the entire dish which ultimately ruined it. Went in expecting a cool video of cutting the burrata and it being satisfying with a cool ooze when you cut into it but alas i didn’t obtain that it was little firm. They could do better food wise taste wise but the food platting always looks great. The entire is very cute and has a nice vibe inside cute for a date night with dark romantic vibe inside. The outside is a cute terrace which i enjoyed sitting on the chair feel a little bit uncomfortable and are almost to big i couldn’t rest my back on it with out being 3 feet away from my plate and they feel almost to big to even fit under the table. For such a cute place i’d expect better. But alas maybe in another year ill return and actually enjoy me meal.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aqua E Farina and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience that transported me straight to the heart of Italy. From the moment I stepped inside, the ambiance exuded warmth and authenticity, with rustic decor and soft Italian music setting the mood. The staff greeted me with genuine hospitality, making me feel like a cherished guest from the start. Now, onto the main event: the food. Every dish I sampled was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavors that danced on my palate. The menu didn’t offer a lot of options but the one they have is amazing. Overall, my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're looking for a pretty dinner for two or a family celebration, this charming Italian restaurant is sure to delight your senses and leave you craving more. Grazie mille for an unforgettable dining experience!
I tried Aqua E Farina once, I liked the atmosphere and the wall paintings there, taking you to Italy and the past. They have good Italian dishes. I took gluten free gnocchi. It was good but a bit greasy for me. My friend took Caesar salad and a soup (can’t recall its name) and they were tasty. The waiter was nice. All in all my experience was good. Go and give it a try as I saw they have many interesting Italian dishes😊
Found this cool spot hidden away in a basement, and it was surprisingly awesome. The menu isn't huge, but everything we tried was really tasty. It's got this peaceful vibe that's perfect for chilling out, and even though the service was still pretty good. Feels like a great place to bring the family for a nice meal without any fuss. Definitely worth checking out if you're into finding those not-so-obvious places.
Most underrated brunch spot in the city! Chicken and waffles were my favourite, with the French toast panettone a very close second. Going back to try the homemade pasta- the group next to us ordered from the lunch menu and it looked INCREDIBLE. Amazing experience from food to service, only great things to say about Aqua e Farina!
First, I’d like to thank the owner for accommodating my family and I for my 31st birthday. They were serving brunch at the time we wanted to go, but they gladly served us pasta when I called and asked ahead of time. Super grateful for the accommodation! The food was great - everyone left with full bellies! I’d also like to thank our waiter, Billy for being super kind and friendly. Overall, we had a great experience 😊
I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and Sarah, our server, was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend!
Only went once but my dish was very well executed and it was a nice experience overall.
While food was presented piping hot and service was good, the calamari gave my spouse food poisoning. Ive no complaints with my own pasta dish.
Waitress doesnt listen or follow directions of requests
Amazing personalized service and delicious!!
It was a disappointing dining experience, and I still can t forget the disgusting feeling of being stuck in the mouth by that thick, hard hair in the Caesar salad. The lasagna was not as delicious as the reviews, so I put it down after just one bite. In the end, my daughter finished it for me... I declined the waitresss offer to give me the dessert tiramisu because of the hair in the salad, and it was okay. She offered to take it away for free (thank you very much, she is a very nice and sweet girl). Unfortunately, I will not patronize this restaurant again next time...
Best italian in NDG!! Awesome food and great service
This was our first time at Aqua E Farina and we loved every moment of it. The resto exudes warmth and authenticity, with rustic décor and good music setting the mood (music at the right volume, you dont need to yell to speak to your friends). The team showed us genuine hospitality and were very present at our table per our needs. We tried the MTL à table menu. Although it didn t offer a lot of options, everything we tried was amazing (we ordered 90% of the menu). The wine was exquisite and the dessert was absolutely delicious. My favorite dish was the Fettuccine funghi et tartufo - what an experience!!!! Overall, we loved our evening here. Whether youre looking for a intimate dinner for two or a family celebration, this Italian restaurant is sure to offer a charming culinary experience. Thank you to the wonderful team from Aqua E Farina!
Great place, I d have the lasagna and a limoncello, both tasty and big portions. I suggest making a reservation on weekends Food
Great place in NDG to those who know. There s also an old port location. It s a restaurant market style place with a small menu where everything is made with care and detail. Food is fresh and a real hidden gem!
The best Italian resto in Montreal=5 for sure! Delicious authentic Italian food, cozy atmosphere & great friendly service by Sara L I highly recommend Aqua Farina!
Favorite Italian place! Their pasta sauce rosée is always delicious and they gracefully offered to add some chicken! In the appetizers, the calamari are always fresh and tasty, coming with a delicious side sauce, I highly recommend ! Also, dont forget to try their tiramisu and canoli, they are to die for ! Parking: A few free spots are available in the adjacent streets, but ve careful with the signs. Otherwise, there are a few closer spots that are closer to the restaurant, but you have to pay.
honestly amazing!! our server was from england, he was so polite and respectful!!! food was perfect! definitely coming back!
While the food is pretty good and on par with other Italian restaurants on Monkland, the atmosphere felt like a poorly ventilated living room. It was noisy, and the patron practice of offering complimentary drinks to younger women and engaging in flirtatious conversations was unappealing. This setting is not ideal for a family dinner or for bringing children. Bistro down the street is worth the wait.
Excellent food, excellent environment, and over the top service. Food is another level of flavor, and Lauren went above and beyond to make sure everything was to perfection. Kudos to the whole team. Food
We tried the food at this restaurant, and the waitress was fantastic. The atmosphere was good, and we ordered pasta and lasagna. The pasta tasted great, but unfortunately, I found a small piece of plastic in the lasagna, which makes me think they may use pre-made lasagna instead of making it fresh. If it werent for the plastic, I would have given them 5 stars, but because of that, Im giving them 3 stars.
We decided to try this place for brunch, and I can say it was the best brunch experience on Monkland Ave so far. We were warmly welcomed, and the music was neither dull nor too loud. The menu was well-balanced, catering to most tastes, though I wish they had a kids menu as well. The quality, taste, and presentation of the dishes were excellent, and the coffee was definitely of Italian quality. Overall, we loved our experience. --- We decided to try this place for brunch, and I can say it was the best brunch experience on Monkland Avenue so far. I wish there were more vegetarian options, I feel like almost every pasta meal in the menu has to be slapped with some kind of meat
Incredibly tasty Italian dishes. The gnocchi is gluten free and heavenly! Service was fantastic. Incredibly cute restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta and gnocchi are available
Good place to have pasta and hung with friends Dietary restrictions: Gluten free ñoquis Food : 5/5 |
The menu posted online was not available at the time we went, but they accommodated us anyway. Thanks to the chef and the friendly waitress.
Had an amazing experience at Aqua E Farina.. The food was fantastic especially the Truffle fettuccine. Anjelo, Billy and Lorraine went above and beyond to accommodate our baby and our party. The ultra friendly service and care received from Anelo and the team made our entire Montreal trip. Will visit again and Aqua E Farina receives my highest recommendation!
We came to this little Italian restaurant for the first time for our wedding anniversary and we were won over We had the table dhôte menu. All the dishes were delicious ($23 starter/main course/dessert) and the Italian coffee What can I say about the waiter other than that he was exceptionally kind, provided impeccable service and was very involved. We will definitely come back very soon! An excellent REAL Italian restaurant
Great service. Very fresh pasta, generous portions and delicious sauces. We were 4 and all meals were excellent.
Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at! Always pleasant and very good! Enjoy your meal!
First time yesterday at this restaurant. Amazing food, amazing service (our waitress Emanuelle was very kind), the only thing that was a bit much was the music being played and how loud it was in the restaurant. Other than that, absolutely amazing experience and I will DEFINITELY recommend this place always!
Great food, great terrace and great service in a fun and vibrant neighbourhood!
Amazing food, great service! Atmosphere was good, but it wasnt mind blowing. Seating arrangement is a little squished for my liking
I went to this restaurant because it has 4.5 rating. I ordered a lasagna and it was extremely salty. That night I had diarrhea.
This place is sort of hit or miss. Ive been on some evenings where the pasta was not only generous in portion size but also delicious 10/10 taste wise and worth what you pay for. And Ive also been other nights and been really dissapointed with the taste, quality, and size... if it was consistently good, Id give it 5 stars
It is a nice neighborhood Italian restaurant. Good Italian dishes. Reasonably priced. I ve yet to try their brunch menus. I ll probably pay a visit on a Sunday morning.
Loveee the food here, cutest terrasse and our waiter Oliver was the best!!!!
You got to try this place, it is a little gem in NDG
Was honestly disappointed with the quality of food. Had high hopes reading the reviews but the brunch was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. That being said, service was friendly. May return for dinner since their pasta menu looks quite good. Brunch was a mistake. To the restaurant, maybe stick to what you know.
I just ordered the aglio e olio and ceaser salad from Uber eats. Pasta was good abit overcooked. Very very disappointed that the ceaser salad came with a big peace of some sort of bacon. I dont eat bacon and the ingredient list didnt mention it. $22 in the garbage
What couldve been a disaster and a bad review turned out to be an impressive exercise in customer service! We are in Montreal for vacation and came in on a busy Mothers Day for dinner. Service started out slow, but very friendly. My son ordered pasta with lobster and shrimp. About 40 minutes went by; we noticed people around us -- who had arrived after we did -- were dining and finishing their meals. Then the server came over and said a large party had ordered the last of the dish my son had chosen, so he had to pick something else. While we understood that this sort of thing happens, we were perplexed that it took so long to tell us. Then another 20 minutes or so dragged by and still no food. Finally, we got up, paid for the bread we had ordered, and left in search of dinner. To our surprise, a young man ran after us, found us on the street, and told us the food was ready and it was on the house. We went back with him (not gonna lie, it felt awkward to walk back into this tiny place!) and enjoyed really amazing food! I had gnocchi; my husband had ravioli; and my son chose chicken parm. Our server apologized to us and brought us a dessert tray from heaven! I didnt catch her name, but really appreciated her kind words. It was clearly important to her to make this right, which honestly was unexpected. Well done!
Honest Italian food for a quick dine out. The pasta with rabbit ragout was perfect, the tagliatelle with frutti di mare were a bit too spicy. The staff is friendly, despite being busy. Great job, mate! Would you consider replacing those fake palm trees with real trees or plants? They just look so ugly and out of place!
12 dollars extra for bread plus tax and tip
I happened upon this gem one last fall. The food is consistently delicious, the service formidable and the ambience is excellent. It is a place that I keep going back to, knowing that I will always get impeccable service and most importantly delicious food.
Very quiet vibe and the pasta is delicious and well-presented. Theres a good selection of cocktails and wines as well.
I came with my friend. We both ordered Pasta. She ordered the soup. Everything was excellent.
Simple small basement intimate Italian restaurant. Very quiet when we arrived, half full during our meal. Lone server worked very hard and did his best. Took well over an hour for the meals to be served kitchen was short staffed we later learned. Lasagna was great. Lots of potential here!
Pleasant neighborhood restaurant. Great service and good food. Arancini, burata salad and chicken parmigiana were spot on. Parking: Street parking with meters
This is such a cute spot and the food is always so fresh. The staff is also so lovely! I recommend both their brunch and their dinner. The portions are also extremely generous!!! Dietary restrictions: Veggie and dairy free options!!
I came for a work lunch and the food was amazing. Our server Kamiah was great and very attentive!
It was my first time coming here and I will definitely be back. The food tastes so home made and comforting. I got the lunch special which comes with a good portion of appetizer, main, and a dessert. Kamaya served us and absolutely amazing. Everything was delicious and prices are good!
Our server Emmanuelle was helpful and friendly. The Crostini appetizer was absolutely delicious. The gnocchi was very tasty & a nice portion. The fettucine with shredded braised lamb ragu was also very good; and big enough to take home leftovers. Wines by the glass, one Chianti and one Sangiovese, reasonably priced. We were too full for dessert. We were offered a small Tiramisu to share. Their lunch specials and weekend brunch are very good. This is a lovely local neighborhood restaurant. We highly recommend it.
Very good restaurant. We discovered this restaurant while passing by but we were very hesitant to try it. The service was friendly I tried tagliatelle with veal ragout. It was just too good The Tortellini are to die for Osso bucco is super tender Its a great culinary experience. They offered me San Pé which is very good
I went for dinner and I loved it! The lunch table d hôte is definitely worth it. The portions were very generous, everything was delicious and the price was reasonable. The waitress was also very nice.
I discovered this wonderful restaurant yesterday. I was impressed as much by the courtesy of the server as by the quality of the dishes. Honestly, everything was perfect and beyond delicious. I discovered my new favorite restaurant!
Great authentic & fresh pasta dishes along with other traditional italian dishes Awesome atmosphere, nice terrace & the food & drinks are to die for. The cannoli and tiramisu are delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Recommend 100%
Such a great evening out here: the food was fantastic and the service was the best around, especially considering it was Boxing Day. Will absolutely be back.
Had the pleasure of dining here today to celebrate my fathers birthday. We were served by the lovely Lauren. The food was out of the world! Everything was so fresh, and you can tell it was all made with love. My daughter, who is a very picky eater, is still talking about her meal. She loved everything, especially the home-made tiramisu she had for dessert. It was our first time here (my father had been once before), but it wont be our last. We have a new favorite Italian restaurant!
Food is great and made in house! ALWAYS BUT ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE! highly recommended! Food : 5/5
Great food with great service ! Our waiter was very nice, brought a cake for my partner and even asked if we had a song request at the end. A perfect night, thank you !
The food was fresh and delicious..We had a five course seafood dinner and it qas outstanding. The owners make you feel like family.
What a great place. Warm caring and kind. Thats what I have to say about the staff and the owners. If youre looking for a nice quint place to have a birthday supper shower and more this is definitely the place. We went to eat there Jan 18 2024. We enjoyed or experience from start to finish rarely have I been to a place where I have eaten fro Start to Finish and loved everything. As I was eating I. Was thinking of the next time I come. The chef is on point. His palette is amazing. Everything that came out of the kitchen tasted delicious. We were there for the special Seafood Menu of the month. A 5 course meal with wine pairing. You definitely get your moneys worth. Wow. Price point very good. Quality of food amazing. Service pleasant and friendly. Great family Vibes. Our meal Started with 3 types of oysters 6 in a plate A Seafood stew/soup mussels clams and cod and more. Mmm delicious. Then onto the Fried Tiger shrimp Scallops and Calamari Oh my! served on a avocado sauce that was to die for. A little lemoncello shot to cleanse the palette and onto the pasta. What to say about the pasta dish. Yes Seafood again. Beatiful shrimp and yes I dare say lobster in every bite. Wow wow wow. Every single bite had a little bit of something. Lobster shrimp buttery pasta Wow. Bravo chef. Last but not least dessert. A pastry feuilleté lobster tail filled with creamy filling and a little light lemony cream on the side. With a great cappuccino. Try it out you will not be disappointed. We will be looking out for the Special Menu events for sure n were going back to try the Saturday/Sunday Brunch next. Ooh cant wait. Thank you so much for this fabulous dining experience. Wish I could add pictures
Cute and cozy, but dont let the laid-back atmosphere fool you - the pasta is white-tablecloth-worthy! I had the stewed lamb on tagliatelle. The sauce was flavourful and the lamb was melt-in-your-mouth. The pasta was cooked to perfection. We didnt get to taste the cannoli because they sold out, but thats ok, well be back for sure! Very reasonable prices, great for a date or dinner with friends. Word to the wise: it does get a bit busy (and noisy) after 8pm.
Went for lunch and had an amazing experience. Pasta was great, ceaser salad was great, soup was great and service was 10/10. Prices were amazing and vibe was also great. You just need to try it.
Definitely recommend. Food was fantastic. Service is very friendly. Parking: We had no problem parking on Monkland. Kid-friendliness: No kids in our group, but there was another table with a child of about 6-7 years old and he seemed to be enjoying himself.
Simple and delicious as well as cozy
A great pasta restaurant on Monkland. A bit noisy when it is full.
Came for a date night with our baby, and we had such exceptional service. Our waitress, Kamiah went out of her way to ensure we had an amazing experience and accommodate our baby. The food is amazing! Highly recommend!
Toddler s daycare offered a take-home dinner from Aqua E Farina as a fundraiser event. When we got home, we realised our bag was missing the rose sauce. Called the restaurant, and were told we could come by to pick up the sauce. They ended up also giving us cannoli as a bonus! Completely unexpected and delightful. The food (salad, gemelli, rose sauce, polpette, eggplant parmigiana, biscotti, and the surprise cannoli) was absolutely delicious, with generous portion sizes. Toddler- and adult-approved! We re excited to come dine-in sometime soon.
We had such a great experience at Aqua e Farina, the perfect girls night out dinner. The staff was so welcoming and interacting with us. The pasta was incredible, bolognese sauce was my favorite and the crostone with whipped truffle honey ricotta was .
Delicious dishes & cocktails and great service. Can t wait to go back! We tried the polpette, caprese salad as well as the ragu and mushroom pastas. Recommend them all!
The place is adorable, the drinks were fantastic, and the food was good but I was a bit disappointed by the lamb ragu, They forgot one of the appetizers I ordered and I found the service a bit slow. I wouldnt mind going back but I would maybe order something else.
Had an extraordinary lunch here today. Absolutely delicious authentic unpretentious food and ambience. Kamia, our waitress, was just wonderful and attentive. Everything was freshly made with the best quality ingredients. I can t wait to return.
Came here on a total whim, the food was delicious, the drinks tasty and refreshing - the hostess was very nice and even offered to set up two plastic chairs outside while we waited for our food. The pasta is freshly made and the veggies are super good, so so good. Well be back for sure met the super nice owners, lovely!!
I had tagliatelli with pulpetta. It was great. My adult son had gnocchi bolognese, he loved them too
Visiting from Toronto with friends and we had an amazing experience here. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Our server was Trynity and she made our experience very memorable.
My waitress kamiah was fantastic
Everything thing was delicious, service was great nice atmosphere, and great option for making your own pasta, but a bit on the expensive side
Best food I ever had.
Great little place in the heart of Monkland. Great stuff
Are here recently on the patio. Really nice ambiance. Peachy/ rose sangria was amazing and food really tasty too. Sadly the only gluten free option was the gnocchi, which was fab but would have liked to try a gf pasta dish! Cute waiter who looks like Channing Tatum was a bonus and he was super sweet too ;) Will definitely dine here again!
One of the best pasta in Montréal! Fresh pasta with the most delicious sauce! If you like mushrooms, I highly recommend the truffle mushroom...Good service and nice ambiance.
This restaurants food is amazing and the best Italian restaurant in the area. However, we waited over 1 hour for 2 plates of food, when other people who came way after us and who had appetizers got served before us. Even though that was a slight issue, that doesnt change the fact that the staff are amazing and so nice and the food is incredible. The terrace is so beautiful as well. All in all, I will definetly go back to this restaurant in the near future. Thank you!!
AMAZING food, not a bad dish - everything was fresh and delicious. Service was fantastic. Absolutely will return.
Ordered the Burratta salad came with 2 basil leaves cut in 2 , the Gnocchi is terrible no taste at all the arrabiatta sauce no taste at all. Not a good experience all in all never going back.
Best pasta in Montreal. Thats the first and foremost thing I must say. Its fresh. The flavors are authentic and every bite is heaven. Just yesterday I had the whipped Ricotta toast and it makes me feel like Im in Europe. We also always take the rigatoni rose and the fettuccine Alfredo. My personal (and my kids) two favorites. I take my family here every two weeks or so to give me a break from cooking or preparing. Im always so happy to see the different types of people there from families to just friends having a bowl of pasta. The staff is incredible. Theyre so patient and kind especially with children. Its an absolute pleasure to come here time and time again. Vegetarian options: So many options for vegetarians ! Kid-friendliness: The staff is kind and accommodating. Theres always high chairs available. Seating is comfortable with a stroller. Especially outside. Food can come in half portions if you need.
Excellent, excellent fresh pasta. Nice portions and good service Food
Wonderful food and large portions, but inaccessible, dirty dinnerware, no hairnets for chefs, knife almost dropped on a customers head, and unpleasant waiters
Super good & super good service by the waiter Amir
Had a wonderful time, the staff were amazing.
Lovely place yummy pasta :3 Kid-friendliness: No heart attacks , kids menu Food : 5/5 |
What a reliable, always pleasant, always tasty addition to Monkland! Like a slightly better version of home cooking that you spent a lot of time on but don t prepare or have to do the dishes! The young waitstaff are always nice, have only eaten on the terrasse, the pasta with truffle oil is yummy and the huge salad to share after is full of delicious things. Glass of Sauvignon Blanc and it s a perfect summer evening.
Exceptionally fresh pasta dishes made in-house - quality ingredients, creative presentation, generous portions and welcoming staff. The patio has been refurbished and is wonderfully intimate and inviting (a mini oasis in the heart of Monkland Village)!! The indoor dining room has been expanded and renovated. A balance between elegant and casual-chic. A neighbourhood hotspot - great place to enjoy with friends and family! An overall great experience!!
We had a wonderful evening. We were a group of 10 people celebrating my friends birthday. We all got different plates and everyone said they were great and enjoyed their meals. I had the seafood tagliatelle which was very good, with just a little bit of spice. The portion sizes are really big so be prepared to bring some home. I also had two cannolis and a few drinks. The Alba Rosa drink is so good, reminds me of a Pina Colada. The owner was very accommodating and even gave us two rounds of shots for all of us. One round was I believe limoncello shots and then the second round were basil drops and they were so good. We had a wonderful night and the owner made it very fun for us. I would definitely go back. The waiter was also very friendly! I unfortunately didnt take any pictures but the restaurant itself is small but still fits about 50 people inside. There is also a terrasse that fits about 30 people outside. The decor is very cute. I love the wall of rolling pins.
Great place, delicious and generous portions. Priced more than reasonably for the size and quality. Service was slightly on the slow side but courteous. Definitely recommend as one of the top pasta in Montreal.
The food was fantastic, but the service did not exist. The music was also way too loud there.
I had to come all the way to Montreal to get the best Italian food I have ever had. The pasta is made fresh. The crostini with ricotta and olive oil drizzled with honey is a great starter. The ravioli was fantastic. The staff was helpful with the menu and they had a sense of humor. Loved this restaurant.
The Italian food here comes close to home made. Have been twice. Food is amazing. Service on the other hand can be improved.
Lasagna is a dish to try
Best Italian pasta we ve had in years- often get it through Uber eats but have eaten inside the restaurant as well- service is great and portions large- you won t be disappointed
Best Italian restaurant and the best service too!!
Excellent atmosphere, good decoration, the service was good and the food very delicious. The seafood paste is very spicy but delicious. I recommend the restaurant to eat good Italian pasta
The food was amazing! Good portions and very flavourful. We got a tiramisu which was also nice. The restaurant is beautiful. A must try on Monkland.
the restaurant is super cute, and the staff are super friendly. i came here with friends a few times and ordered the pastas, and both times were really great! the sauce is flavourful, and the pasta isnt too hard to chew. keep it up :) Food
Amazing in all senses! Great food, ambiance and service! Food
I came on a Saturday evening with my children. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm. The dishes are delicious and the staff are lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Really phenomenal alfredo sauce spaghetti and attentive service. The lunch combo is amazing value, the entree and dessert were delicious as well.
Im sorry to say that our experience at Aqua E Farina was incredibly disappointing. We visited on the recommendation of a pianist friend who loves Italian cuisine, but it was a letdown. We waited for a whole hour for a simple spaghetti dish, and not a single apology was offered when we had to leave due to the excessive wait. We wont be returning, and I cant recommend this place to anyone. Im sorry to say that our experience at Aqua E Farina was incredibly disappointing. Love this resto best Italian in the area. Their Caesar salad is actually the best in Montreal.
Ordered food from here. Got the fettucine alfredo with chicken and the tiramisu. It was unfortunately a waste of money, the chicken was basically raw and couldnt eat any of the pasta and the tiramisu was just wet and bland. The pasta itself was also disappointing. The only thing i can say is that the portion sizes were good but I wish I didnt order from here.. not sure if a dine-in experience would be better but do not order in!
I had a very good seafood pasta and ossobuco, both highly recommended. Lasagna is also good but could have more meat in it. Also, desserts could have been better. Overall, the pasta here are fresh and delicious and will be coming back to try more.
Cute place. We ordered the fried bocconcini and Caesar salad as appetizers, both were delicious. Mushroom tagliatelle was AMAZING. Fresh and not too heavy. The service was very slow though. Definitely not a place to go if you re in a rush. Overall a good experience.
Enjoyed the Tagliatelle Frutti di Mare and my wife loved the Rigatoni in Pomodoro. Service was great, attentive and friendly.
Amazing food, fresh pasta!
Everything was very good. Polpettes, Caesar salad and pasta. Above all, I want to highlight the impeccable service from Amir, he took great care of us and was very professional. Thanks, we ll come back
Great Italian spot on Monkland. Generous portions, homemade feel and taste. They cook with olive oil!
Omg, best lasagna i ever had, my wife is italian and she said it was the best italian restaurant downtown. Honestly best little cozy restaurant to bring friends and family, super super good , 10/10 recommend
The food was son frigging amazing! I wish I would have taken a picture of my plate, I will definitely be back soon. Atmosphere was great. Food was great. Service was great. Thanks for everything !
2 hours of waiting.. still not had our meals..
Saw this place had just opened up in the neighbourhood and decided to try it for dinner with my boyfriend. I have to say it exceeded our expectations!! The service was incredible, from the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out, every single staff member was incredibly friendly and really helpful! We started with the ricotta toast, which was delicious! We then had the cacio pepe and gigi sauces. Both were incredible and all the pasta was cooked to perfection! We ended off with the cannolis and left stuffed! Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back! So glad they re in the neighbourhood!!
We chose to celebrate a familys special event at Aqua E Farina - Monkland and we were beyond impressed. The service was professional and friendly. Cyril, our waiter, was very nice, and helpful. The food was so delicious and fresh. It really felt authentic and the flavours transferred us to Italy. All our plates were emptied!! The appetizers were delicious, we almost tried all the appetizers on the menu, the toasted country bread with ricotta and honey was simply exceptional, also the garlic bread was sooo yummy! We all built our own pastas and I can tell you it was soooo good. We highly suggest this restaurant and will definitely be coming back for more.
Fresh, simple, tasty Italian food at affordable prices. The shaded terrace is beautiful. Great ambiance.
THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD ON EARTH! to die for and the staff is sooo friendly , such cozy environment as well
Had amazing service and great food here today. Such a pleasure!
Love it! Delicious fresh pasta and lets not forget their gelato!
good food.... waited an hour for our food when there was only two other customers in the restaurant though.
Simply incredible and a true culinary experience. Went for lunch there and was greeted by the owner and the friendly staff. It was simply wonderful. The pasta is amazing, perfectly cooked, and the portions are just perfect. Definitely a place I intend on frequenting in the future.
Delicious homemade pasta and authentic gelato. Friendly staff!
It was a very satisfying meal. Well come back one day to try gelato!
Best Gnocchi!! The food is always fresh and delicious. I brought 6 of my friends here and everyone loved their food, no complaints. Even the red sangria and cannoli is delicious. I highly recommend. This restaurants is one of my faves with reasonable prices.
Amazing. You need to try it!
Excellent service and fast. Food was very good and fresh. Must try the gelato for dessert, delicious. Will definitely go back and strongly recommend this restaurant.
Best restaurant on Monkland, hands down. Cant wait to go back, everything was so delicious.
Very overpriced for very small portions. Very disappointing!
Very good service and excellent meal, very reasonable plate
Best gelato in town, great staff, lovely place!
Amazing food, awful service. Nice people but insanely slow.
Phenomenal!!!!! Sure high quality ingredients. Exceptional prices!!! Beautiful decor. Love it, will be coming back for sure!
Amazing service, drinks were boozy and food was delicious! House bread was fresh and steamy!!
Excellent place to eat pasta in the NDG area, pasta alfredo and lasagna are delicious! To drink I chose a lemoncoco and I recommend it! They offer ice cream too.. Yummy! The only downside is the time it took them to serve our order, maybe a couple of extra hands would solve the problem.
Best homemade pasta I have ever eaten!! Best staff and atmosphere!!
Excellent portions and taste
Huge thanks to Rebecca - great service (polite, sweet, professional and courteous) and delicious food !
Best Italian food in Montreal! Authentic sauces, fresh homemade pasta, and friendly service!! Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner! Vegetarian options: They have many sauces and dishes that don t have any meat or fish! It s awesome Dietary restrictions: They accommodate you for gluten free pasta or if you don t eat dairy! There are many options! Parking: Free parking all around NDG and paid parking on monkland that is always easy to find! Kid-friendliness: They have a booster seat and crayons for the kids!
Delicious pasta, great service and amazing vibes! I enjoyed the gluten free options!! I wish the portions were just a bit bigger though. Overall a great evening :))
The antipastos were very good, promising. Unfortunately the pasta for our two dishes was overcooked and soft. Dessert was okay. Garlic and oil pasta and ragu pasta, cheesecake and berries. The service was perfect.
Was browsing on Doordash when this fresh pasta restaurant caught my attention, so I decided to give it a try. Really doesnt regret it. The pasta is very fresh, so is the homemade tomato sauce and everything else! I had the house special osso bucco Milanese and it was light, refreshing and delicious! The price is reasonable for how fresh (did I say fresh?) And generous the portions are. The one thing I found a bit expensive was the tiramisu... But wow.. what a delight! Going to have and try the restaurant in person!
A restaurant to discover: the homemade pasta is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect! I loved my evening, our waitress was super nice and attentive. I highly recommend, whether for a couple or a group! Vegetarian options: Meat-free options Dietary restrictions: Options for celiac, dairy intolerance
Love this place! Such a cozy spot for delicious fresh pasta and Italian food. I just wanted to say how our attentive, sweet (and patient lol) our waitress was for our group of ladies, we had such a fun time. I highly recommend and will be coming back for sure!
Amazing hidden gem. Highly recommend for an intimate date night or family outing. Try the whipped ricotta bread with honey and truffle
Nice little place, amazing food.
We were invited out for dinner by our son and daughter in law with their two girls and two of our other grandkids. The only negative was the level of the sound which made it difficult to hear. The service was really very good and we enjoyed our meal. In the past, we picked up our food. Tonight was the first time actually eating inside. If you are a pasta person, dont hesitate to try this resto. Vegetarian options: There is a wide variety of sauces that are vegetarian.
I went in today with my friend to have dinner and I must say everything was so delicious. The service was Cherry on the cake. Food
