Atmosphere is chill. Sangrias were delicious. Pasta was extremely bland. Caesar salad was good.
Tight area, food is terrible. Came in for a bottled water and saw their baked goods so we had a chocolate cupcake & it was exactly like a dried cake mix type cake ,very pasty in the mouth & dried out icing. We threw it out. Terrible that there are cafe's this horrid in Montreal.
We pulled off the highway to find something to eat that was not fast food. We tripped over La Posta Café. Had an excellent Posta specialty poutine (with pancetta). My partner had the dinner special- pizzaghetti which is common in Québec. Un bon repas & du bon service ( jeune homme ‘Ben cute)! Nous serons de detour sans doute!!! Marc& Rick Belleville, Ontario
We had great service apart that after an hour, we still did not have our food. We asked if it was coming soon. The answer was no, but we had to leave. We had time to get 4 drinks that were given to us at no charge. I would have loved to try their food. We were quite disappointed.
Nice cozy place with excellent food and service! Family of four, we ordered beef tartar, bevette du beuf Tennessee, pizza pepperoni and cheese, and beef tacos. All dishes were excellent and beautifully plated. Service was prompt and welcoming.
Fries not cook, had to get up 3 times for glasses, order a drink since no waitress was attending to us. The présentation of drinks no citron or lime or decorations at all. Sangria is good but won't go there again. Poor service.

We had the poultry and leek velouté . It was more of a salty chicken pellet, leek? . They charge you $2.50 for a piece of defrosted ciabatta. The lobster tartare , which was recommended to us, was strange and dry, nothing to bind it all together and it tasted refrigerated. The beef tacos were okay, no overpowering flavor, the tortilla used was good though. Our side salads were bathed in pure balsamic vinegar! There is intention, but also lack of control. The waitresses were nice and the atmosphere is good. $80 with tip for two, without drinks.
Very very disappointed with the 1:45 wait to be served and a server absent and unable to respond to requests. I do not recommend this restaurant, go elsewhere rather than be very disappointed!

Parking: This place is a lot of fun, and the drinks are good. The service is SLOW which is to be expected. The wait staff very kind and and warm. The poutine was cold and overly salted though. Food

Charming little bistro. We were seated at the bar and the service was very good. Diverse choice. The only downside is that the kitchen is near the bar so our laundry smelled of frying when we came out.
Very very disappointed with this place 2 adults 2 teenagers $185 for oil change Im far from being a difficult person, even Cuban food is very good for me but ..... avoid this place Overcooked meat, everything tastes like salt, I mentioned twice that we were not satisfied, and before paying, I told them that I would not give good comments thats it! First experience at this place and the last (Great service though )

Rather poor service... Mcdo style fries but cheaper and the food/alcohol arrives by post so if you are there at 7pm you will eat/drink around 10:30am++ And you will never have had your water.

After a lovely walk through the magnificent village of Coteau-du-Lac, we were starving, unfortunately for us someone recommended La Poste Café Bistro to us....the worst experience in a long time. There were 4 of us at the table, they were kind enough to let us go onto the terrace with a small dog in that crate, the one and only positive point. The restaurant was almost empty, the drinks arrived quite quickly...then the nightmare began. 45 minutes of waiting for a Burger (smaller than the smallest one at McDonalds), 2 plates of pulled pork tacos, with a flour tortilla! come on...everyone wise up with the corn tortilla lets proceed!! And a sad flank steak that on the menu admits to 7 oz...but it reaches a maximum of 4 oz. The fries were soft and undercooked. In short, not to the young employees in the dining room or in the kitchen that I think I will take, this to the owner that I tell to be careful because today I am being robbed with a bill of 150$ for poorly prepared and very long food expected time. The small restaurant opposite the posta, old and dilapidated, served double the number of customers in the time we waited. Forever and never again.

Very first time at this restaurant and we were asked to leave because they were full for the night, and we didn t have a reservation. Half of the top and bottom balcony tables were empty with no reservation signs on any of the tables. They were not accommodating at all. Not a great first impression.

[Updated 2022-06] Wow! The cuisine has gone up a level, delicious. The service is always exceptional and, in terms of drinks, it is very reasonable. Im changing to 5 stars. Well done :) ! Exceptional service, food is satisfying, alcohol selection is very good.
I highly recommend this restaurant. First time here and definitely not the last. We came for our 23rd wedding anniversary. The service is courteous and friendly. The service is slow to take the time to enjoy the meal and chat. Due to an allergy, the person in the kitchen came to see me to tell me that everything was OK and that there was none in the dish I had. As a starter I had the Caesar salad with dill vinaigrette, very fresh as a salad and light. My partner had the beet and pecan salad, a starter and dessert as he called it. As a main course for me, the pulled pork tacos with cheddar, pico de gallo and bbq sauce were very good. My partners poutine with succulent flank steak.
I had good expectations, very disappointed! Really loooong service., and I had half a pocket of salt on my plate. 2 stars because the sangria was good! I wont go back though!

We discovered this place by chance. There were 4 of us ate with the children and we had a wide choice of dishes on offer and each dish was as good as the other...flavors, tastes, sympathy of the service...its all there!!!

Food is awesome
The tuna and beef tartare is super good. On the other hand, the Garlic Margarita pizza has large pieces of garlic in it and the taste is quite intense. Also, the poutine fries seem to have changed and they are not very good. Overall, my family and I had a good experience and I recommend this restaurant!

It s truly an EXTRAORDINARY place, I would even say that it s my 2019-2020-2021 revelation for a restaurant! Its small but so warm, friendly and great employees, Ill recommend it to anyone, ITS WORTH THE TRIP!!!!!! Delicious tapas and also reinventing junk food!

Very bad experience at the end of the week. We had a reservation and we had a seat 45 minutes later... super long service (1h35 before having our main meal).
Wandered into town on a bike ride looking for a nice little place to eat and found La Posta Cafe Bistro. Sat outside on a beautiful day. Service is quick, the food is wonderful and beer and wine is cold! Go and enjoy!
Extremely slow service
Nice place. Good food. Very slow service because only 1 oven and only 1 waitress for meals and bar. On the other hand, she is very nice but certainly exhausted at the end of the evening despite her young age.
Nice place to have a drink and the pizza is excellent but I give 2 stars because I find that they are poorly organized We (4) waited almost 1h30 to get a table while several people had finished their meals since almost an hour and chatted while waiting for the waiter to get their bills to leave and give us the chance to sit down (not very good the waiter) And to make matters worse, they have a beautiful terrace downstairs near the street but not available for people!#&@* After being seated I ordered 3 beers and it took about 25 minutes before we received our beers except a reminder to the waitress this time and for the pizza I asked if it was in the oven after 45 minutes after having order !!! I have seen customers who received their meals almost 2 hours after they ordered In closing I believe that the owner should hire Gordon Ramsay to fill their lack of skills in knowing how to do things correctly

We were placed quickly but The service to ask us for our order and drink was long and to get our meal was very long (1h20) for the plates (2 sandwiches) The meal was good but not out of the ordinary

I loved the food and the wine, but I didnt like the fruit flies twice rather than once in my glass of wine and I would have appreciated a small plate to place the bites on. It s still worth a second try at least!
