Amazing. Lots vegetarian options, lots customizable options for protein, addons, noodles/rice, sauce. Comes to about 20$ for two big meals worth of food. The black bean garlic sauce is amazing, but the singapore cashew sauce lacks flavour. If youre a chili-head, their ghost pepper heat level is nice but not as spicy as it could be :). Really hope this small franchise will grow.

Something has gone downhill here in the past year. It used to be good service and decent enough food, but last time I ate here the service was poor and the food was gross and made me sick.

This place has gone downhill. Your noodle bowls taste watered down. Not appetizing at all. I wont be back and neither will the group of people I was with. DISGUSTING.

I used to be the store manager in Port alberni, I wouldnt touch this location with a 10 foot pole. They asked me what do you want when I entered the store.... couldnt even eat my food

Visiting from Vancouver, always loved the spicy peanut box -the most amazing flavours and bouquet of colours from the various vegetables amongst my rice noodles! Saucy and delicious! Truly an amazing location, I was visiting from the mainland and decided to check out this place because a friend recommended it to me. Being there felt like I was at home! The food, conversation, and the over all experience was fantastic. I ve been there a few times since and I have never had a bad moment, my food was always made correctly and it tasted fantastic!!! The workers there are also phenomenal, as soon as I enter the building I m greeted with a happy and friendly smile:) It feels like all the works take passion in their work and genuinely love talking to their customers!! 10/10 and I ve recommended this place to all my friends to check out when they are Courtenay

Im so happy theres a noodle box in Courtenay! The best option we have for Thai and noodle type dishes here even though its considered a quicker option. The quality is better than the noodle box in Nanaimo and Victoria. The dishes are full of veggies with a good amount of sauceand protein! Great vegetarian and vegan options. The owner/manager Aerro seems to always be there working. Providing quality control and it pays off! They keep the store clean and well stocked.

Best yellow coconut curry Ive had in a long time. I ordered Cambodian Jungle Curry Box. If you like spicy food this is the place to go! Comes in a cute to go box. Ok amount of food for the price. My Kids loved there boxes as well, which is a huge win.

Rice is usually 50/50 3x I have asked to eat in and always gotten a take out container in a bag. Sauce is consistently good. A good option if you like spicy food. Food : 3/5 |

Besides the price being slightly high everything about this place is great. I m a vegetarian and they got good crispy tofu. My recommendation would be to got easy on the spice. I thought I was tough and got medium the first time I went, but that is really spicy, even mild/medium can be spicy depending on the type of bowl.

I got the Spicy Peanut Noodle Box with medium heat and it was delicous, the heat level was also perfect. The ratio veggie / noodle was ideal for the serving size I would say. Service wise it took a few minutes to get service from the front counter when I entered the restaurant, I was the only patron in the establishment at the time.

Had Pad Thai box with crispy tofu. So fresh, hot, so much food, should not have finished it, but I did. Also like how bowl and utensils are composted, no plastic to landfill. Vegetarian options: Crispy tofu, say no more

We had THAI STYLE CHOW MEIN BOX with chicken and requested it to be extra spicy. It was delicious and really tasty. Portion was generous and flavourful. It looks like the owner has changed and is definitely a lot better than before. Will be going there more often!!!!!!!!!

Take out service is far below standard. Wrong orders frequently. The take out service is an absolute gamble. I have given them umpteenth chances, honestly 70% of orders they ve got wrong.

Gone down hill. I used to love going here but recently they have been consistently getting my orders wrong. My most recent order from last night was my final straw im not sure if I will come back. They forgot my spice, tofu, and flavor in my order. Im not sure what happened but it was so flavorless I went back to get it replaced. They took my meal back and put tofu and spice in it but that did not change how flavorless it was. I dont think im going to give this location another chance. Its a shame because their food used to be really good. :(

This place used to be terrible when we lived around the corner but the new owners have turned things around. They miss heard my order and went above and beyond to fix it. The food was awesome, service was fast, staff were lovely and now they have good portions.

I literally got their cheese balls not even 5 minutes ago and the center of them were ice cold, not even cooked properly, and I went there before and ordered the same thing and they were cooked throughly. but this time, they werent and absolutely disgusting. highly dissatisfied.

Too much sauce on noodles

It was very disappointing.I ordered crispy chicken with rice but was only cornflour fried in oil instead of chicken . Rice was uncooked. They dont have idea even how to cook rice. Copying traditional food from all nationalty but they donot have idea how to cook. Never recommend anybody.

Ordered the Singapore curry box. Absolutely tasteless and no sauce. Had to go back and get them to give me extra sauce from another curry box. Cashier said oh yeah others have said it s pretty tasteless too. If you keep getting the same feedback, make some changes! Used to get noodlebox in Victoria years back and was such a different caliber of food. Won t be coming back again!

Im tired of trying to support this business! You guys consistently never get an order right. Itd be nice if the Courtenay location could step up and be at least half as good as any of the other noodle boxes on the island. If your reading this review I wouldnt even bother with this place.

Poor service, gave me the wrong food. This happens all the time here. Dint even offer anything for inconvenience. Not the best management and irregular flavors with no consistency.

I love this concept. Choose your noodles, protein and sauce. Quite fresh and flavorful for take-out. The energetic staff complement the modern design. Well worth a try.

Went 2 times, tried thai peanut and Bombay Mac. Veg options are marked, hot spice is HOT. Crispy chicken is crunchy and delicious.

June 2022 My husband & I stopped by there today for lunch and I had the teriyaki box with crispy chicken/mild and he had Black Bean & garlic box, mild/med. heat. Both were very good and we will definitely be back again. Girl at the counter was pleasant and helpful.

Just went and got a take out order. I ordered 2 meals thai style 1 with chicken and 1 with pork the pork turned out to be beef the chicken was chicken .I ordered pork because the beef they use is absolutely terrible. My advice is never order the beef its dry chewy tough meat that is over cooked. Other than that it is usually enjoyable to eat.

Amazing experience and wonderful staff. I went in last minute at 8:45 on a Friday night and the cashier (very friendly and funny red haired man) was so helpful and took the time to walk me through the ordering process. All the staff were hustling to clean things and close but I didn t feel rushed at all and my food came out PERFECT! Great team dynamic and atmosphere and yummy food. 10/10

Ordered takeout tonight. Items were spicy peanut noodles with chicken, pad Thai with chicken and shrimp, kids mac and cheese and kids chicken Chow Mein. Adult dishes were good. Quite enjoyed the spicy peanut sauce and the mix of veggies in the dish. Pad Thai was also good. The two kids items however were really low quality. The mac and cheese had little flavor and no visible sauce. We added jarred sauce at home to make it palatable. The chow mein was also not something the kids liked or ate. Pretty disappointing when we were going for family friendly take out.

Awful. Never picks up the phone or the online orders works, and on the off chance you make an order, there is a 99% chance it will be wrong. Love the food

I quite going to noodle box cause the one in Langford is horrible. So I wanted to try the one here in courtenay .. to my surprise it is very delicious .. my hubby had to put his down and say to himself Just walk away cause it is so good as for me I m not a spicy type person, in the special request, I asked them to go easy on the spicy for me, they did I ate my whole box. Thank you courtenay noodle box .. we enjoyed our supper.

Well here we are at the Courtenay noodlebox..... Fast food? Yes! Mere minutes to be ready! Good? Absolutely! Seriously tasty and with a depth of flavor! Helpful staff? You would not believe how helpful these guys can be! They literally tuned the heat, to our meals perfectly! Going above and beyond what you would expect from a fast food joint! Excellent service chaps! Employee of the month award?? Riley without doubt!!

Ordered the butter chicken and got the mild one which is supposed to be a little bit spicy just like the sign said and every one in the back of the kitchen was laughing away and looking at me and my family and when I went to eat they made it way more spicy than it was supposed to be

The chain is typically pretty good but the local team is awful. Their customer service is atrocious. Save yourself a lot of trouble and enjoy a local restaurant that will be grateful for your business and show it with their actions, not this one.

Do not waste your time going here. we went Saturday evening and the food was ok, but made it incorrectly and the staff really lacked respect and and were really struggling to work together. Extremely disappointed

Not properly wearing masks as they re not fitted securely. One person was wearing a buff which isn t an acceptable face covering for a person cooking inside a restaurant. Then they touched their nose with their gloved hand and proceeded preparing food. Nope. Not today. Normally I have a safe & positive experience here but I will not be back any time soon. We re human & make mistakes but safe food handling is as important now as is public health practices to prevent covid-19. Won t bore you with being left on hold forever and then waiting long enough to witness this mess unfold as I was still waiting to even order.

I had sworn off noodle box when the manager told me to change my baby s diaper in my car instead of supplying a change table in their accessible bathrooms. My husband convinced me to order months later and the food was awful. I asked for no sprouts on my pad Thai and it had sprouts, the flavour was bland, and the noodles were so over cooked they were a giant mushy ball. Noodle box used to be good before they franchised. I won t be going back.

It is very difficult for me to be able to find places to eat as I am Celiac. They provide gluten free options, make sure everything is changed so there isnt contamination. I was able to eat out! The food was amazing too!

Customer service is questionable. Ive been put on hold for over 10 minutes just to be hung up on. Have tried calling back but no answer. This has happened more than once. Food is okay though.

Terrible food, ordered 3 dishes via Skip the Dishes - came to $59.05 - wasnt even edible.... not sure what the meat was (ordered beef?) but none of us could eat it. Horrible.

Ordered there several months ago and wasnt impressed but thought Id give it another try this week. Ordered online, app said 40min wait which is weird for noodles. When I showed up, they forgot one of my meal but they made it in 5min.. I got home and the previous meal was obviously cold. The beef was thick and stiff. The samosa was half the size of a normal one for full priced but it was good. I also took the inferno. I guess thats on me because its a challenge not a meal but obviously I wasnt able to eat it and thats me LOVING spicy food (I cook thai, mexican and indian). So I had the bad idea to mix it up with my other thai noodles. It ruined the entire thing as it was still way too spicy. I want to like this place but this is 2/2 bad experiences now. Not that the food is bad but I might give it another try in another several months. Its a shame cause its really hard to mess up these kinda meals.

Why are there no adults working here! Sitting here for 30 mins watching these kids do nothing while one guy makes 8 boxes one at a time.

When I lived in Victoria I used to order at least once a week, but Courtenay isn t the same quality nor ingredients. Food doesn t taste the same and am very disappointed with it. If your craving Noodlebox, it s worth the drive to Victoria.

Ordered noodle box off the app tonight it was absolutely horrible both my boxes were mixed up and mine was not even worth eating or trying to stomach now I m having a grilled cheese what a disappointment! Not recommended! I ve been to the Victoria and Nanaimo noodle box s more time s then I can count and never been disappointed!

Finally got the chance to try our Courtenay location, and we were actually delighted! Used the app to order, easy and fast, better than many food apps out there. Paid ahead, it was just ready when we arrived, and the boxes were filled with noodly goodness. Fresh, hot, lots of garnish, we were really pleased with our meal. Flavorful food but way too overpriced for a tiny portion.

We ordered from this noodle box back in February for my birthday, having loved it when I lived in Victoria I was so excited to have a restaurant in Courtenay. Unfortunately we were disappointed with bland meals. (We ordered about 5 dishes) We brushed it off because it was so unlike our experience in Victoria, it must have been a fluke. Yesterday I thought I d give it another go and ordered the spicy peanut and a naan. The naan was delicious but the noodle dish was again, flavourless.

Not sure where the majority of people giving this establishment one or two stars have been eating in the Comox Valley where Noodlebox is considered bland, especially since there is a lack of quality restaurants in the Valley. I enjoy the Pad Thai, Kung Pao, Spicy Peanut and Bombay Mac N Cheese from this location, and never once have I been let down by their flavour. To the people complaining about time to cook the food (10 mins) and the price, you must not go out often...The day of writing this review I got a meal for $16 including a tip, in comparison youre looking at $14 for a mediocre footlong from Subway, $15+ easy if you goto McDonalds. Spicehut and Manvirros are easily $20 or more for a single meal, and lastly I havent been in a couple years but you really couldnt get anything from White Spot for under $15. Most of these places are keeping your food under a heat lamp or serving you leftovers from a lunch buffet. You really want to be let down go get a $15 pita from the pita pit...

Have you ever heard of moderation? Well this place hasnt. Adding more sauce doesnt make something taste better.

We use to eat noodle box in Victoria regularly. The staff were fine at this location but the flavors were uninspired and there seemed to be more noodles and less veggies than in the past.

Teriyaki beef, the beef is tasteless and tough. Very Disappointed.

I ordered 3 boxes, one with chicken & 2 with double beef. They didn t put double beef in either box although I was charged for it and the little bit there was too tough to chew. A few bites in I went back and explained the problem nicely and was told they don t do refunds but apologized and said here s a voucher for a free box. When I got to the car I saw the back of the card was just $5 off my next purchase! I always enjoy the food at any of the Victoria locations but this was $60 that went in the trash.

Very disappointing food here. Got pad Thai and paid extra for additional vegetables. There was nothing about it that reminded me of pad Thai flavours and it was mostly noodles and barely anything else. Ended up stopping at A & W to get a burger and threw this out.
