Signature indian cuisine is known for its unique and exciting Indian menu, which offers traditional favourites and uncommon gems in Indian cuisine.
This place is fabulous!! Staff are friendly and the food is fresh and very flavourful. Not to mention great prices for the portion size. Our favourite was the Butter Fish. Check out this new gem.
Five of us came here for dinner, the service was great, restaurant was very cute and festive, and food was fantastic! I would definitely recommend coming here to eat! The food quality and portion size both exceeded our expectations!
Last night we ordered goat curry with bones... we have goat curry a few times there and prior it was good. But i yesterday we ordered in night and they served us kinda rest of the goat ... it was not fresh and got 3/4 bones in it.... that was a misery. I wanna suggest don't order after 8 in the night or hour before closing.
Best Indian food I've ever had. This place is absolutely amazing. Fantastic flavor profile and good portions, for a fair price. So glad to have this place in the valley. Try the Gobi garlic.
Absolutely delicious! The butter chicken was wonderful, and the chicken curry had a kick to it, but complexity of flavour. We ordered spice level medium and it was perfect for us (spicy but not too much!). This will be our go-to Indian food in the Valley. Can’t wait to try more dishes!
A quaint little place with wonderful food. Absolutely delicious. Quiet atmosphere, fast service and delicious food.
Being big fans of Indian food and seeing this place pop up, my wife and I went here last night and had a fantastic time. The food was excellent, the presentation was very nice , and the service was fast and effective. Actually it was the best Indian food we have had in a very long time. All things being equal I highly recommend this restaurant.
Have been wanting to try this place since they opened. The fiance has had Indian food all over Europe and Canada so he knows a good curry. He had the lamb madras HOT and loved it! I'm not great with spice so went with the Shrimp Korma MILD it was great! Papadums, Naan, roti, rice and the 2 curries and we have leftovers for tomorrow. The fiance already knows what he is ordering next time.
This is the best Indian restaurant in the Comox Valley. Food is superb! Good prices. Very friendly and sweet servers. Cozy atmosphere. We ll be back again and again!
Excellent food great service very reasonable prices generous servings Id rate it best around
Had the vegetarian lunch special medium spicy and the chai tea. The naan bread was freshly made, as was the chai. All the food was delicious, and the portion size was ample. Wonderful service as well Vegetarian options: There are a huge variety of vegetarian options here.
Delicious, great atmosphere and service, will be back! Highly recommend the chicken jalfrezi.
Food is nice but the their service is bad. Only one person working as a server, hostess and food runner. We had to wait for about 10 min before we were seated. Again waited for a long time for the server to take our order. Food
Great food and great service. Portions were a good size and reasonably priced. Cant wait to go back. Food
This was the best Indian food I ve ever had in the Comox Valley! Incredibly delicious. Mild food is still flavourful and just awesome. Customer service was really amazing and accommodating too. Highly highly recommend this place!!
Excellent food, super friendly staff. Dont listen to any negative reviews, the food here is amazing.
The people are very nice my only complaint is the food is way to tomato in the sauce.
Authentic delicious food! We will be back! Garlic naan is to die for
This place is so great and Im thrilled they opened. The dishes are so fresh and flavourful while the service is excellent! Highly recommend.
Family vibe. Amazing food. Milder flavors but very flavorful just a good amount of heat. Love the samosas
Coconut chicken to curry was excellent. I will be back!
Surprisingly great food and good customer service. We ordered lamb korma, mango masala, and palak paneer and pakoras and naan and Chai.
Tandoori prawns were fresh and tasty served with salad and rice butter (chicken) sauce. Marvellous shared lunch.
Oh dear - where to start? The order was for take-out. It was ready on time but the problems began as soon as I got home. 1). Ordered the signature lamb curry special but got a chicken curry. Ok chicken, will give it a try. Sorry to say but the chicken (although a very good portion) was very dry and there was very little curry sauce. The dish itself was quite bland with no heat and had no body nor complexity to it - almost flavourless. 2). The fish pakoras were very good. The vegetable pakoras not so much. They were a little under cooked and doughy in the middle. 3). The naan bread was almost like a cracker - dry with no butter/ghee or any kind of oil on it. Given all the good reviews I was hoping for better. They did have a busy night with a large table of patrons and a lot of the other tables were occupied. Im hoping this was a one off experience; perhaps they leaned on a less experienced cook to back-fill what appeared to be a busy night.( am I making excuses for them?) Ill keep watching the reviews to help me decide if I should give them another try.
The food was delicious and the chicken was very tender!
This place has the best curry in the Comox valley. Every one that I ve tried has blown me away. Highly suggest it!
I m quite unimpressed with the quantity and quality of food. I had to wait for 30 minutes for my order. They charged exorbitant amount of money for the food that s stale, tasteless and you can actually count the no. of pakoras. Not going there again.
They should teach their servers about customer service. We ordered Dal Makhni spice level hot which was not spicy at all. The girl working there said we can give you green chilli paste on the side which is ridiculous. We didn t eat that but she said we don t have any control over that. You have to pay. So it was their mistake and they don t have any control over that. Then I asked her if we can get a new one because we had to pay anyways. She took that old one and put chillies in that. The worst experience I ever had in a restaurant. And that server talking with us was very rude. Customer service and satisfaction was zero. You have to pay for the dish which their chef made wrong and you didn t even eat and they forcefully give you after putting chillies in it instead of giving a new one.
The food was delicious! Great portions for the price paid. Was not licensed but that wouldnt stop me from eating here again.
First time trying Signature Indian Cuisine, and the food was delicious, good sized portions, and friendly staff! Will definitely be back!
This place just nailed it on the flavors. Love how you can choose how spicy you like it. For people who love flavor, this is the spot. Highly recommend to anyone. Its just the best. Ill be ordering pretty regularly from now on.
amazing food
Our new Favorite place to eat ! Delicious ! Try the coconut curry shrimp big portions and such amazing flavour !!!
These guys can cook.
The people need to know about this place Ooogle ooogles yum order the naan wow Kid-friendliness: Booster seats high chairs, friendly staff and kids menu
The whole family loved it! So tasty and great service Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options. My fav is the shahee paneer Kid-friendliness: High chair, booster seats, friendly staff and a kids menu!
Delish !!!
We went over there just for a visit but their tandoor was not working.
We went for a late lunch today, first visit. Absolutely delicious and weve had a fair amount of exposure to traditional Indian cooking. The naan was as flaky as a croissant almost. Palak chicken was perfect with beautifully tender chicken. We ordered mild... flavourful, not much heat. Servings are generous so we were glad to have another serving to take home. Plain decor. No liquor license so far. Service was welcoming and friendly and they checked back on a food sensitivity for clarification... much appreciated. They are very busy so plan accordingly.
Delicious food! Better than the Spice Hut. Prices are fair as well Its nice to support a non chain restaurant! If you live in Courtenay and love Indian food save yourself the drive to Comox and check it out!
Food was fantastic! Servers are friendly but need to pay a little more attention to their customers like checking on them after the food has been served. Overall though very pleased.
Worst customer service ever chef is hard of hearing and can t even make food with proper given instructions as well as once there was plastic wrap found in the curd i ordered
Food was great, service not so much. One of the waitresses was very polite and took our order, however the other server needs more training. Looked pretty miserable and unenthusiastic. She didn t seat us so we had to find our own seat, kind of just threw the food on the table when it arrived, and was more interested in talking to the other staff than serving us.
First time visiting and was impressed. Food was very good and the server was friendly.
EDIT ~ Ordered again last Fri, excellent service & fantastic food ~ got 4 curry dishes (lamb, veg, & 2 different chicken curries), 2 mild & 2 med. heat + 2 different rice dishes. Incredible flavours, we loved them all, highly recommend! Best authentic Indian food in CV. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Did take out on a very busy Fri evening ~ U know its good when you cant even get thru to order, phone line was busy, took a while ~ we were Happy to wait 1h for our food ~ it was well worth it! Restaurant was very busy when we picked up our order : Appy Mixer (delish & excellent variety), Mango Curry Prawns (best we have ever had tho prawns were over cooked, will order again exquisite flavour), Chicken Jafrezi was delish too, very tender & wonderful flavour with veggies. Both garlic & chicken naan were excellent. Our first time, definitely not our last, highly recommend ~ fantastic experience!
Best food in Comox
Best restaurants all over the comox
Great ingredients, fast and friendly service, and most importantly delicious. Highly recommend.
Just had the best Indian food of our life (we ve tried many Indian restaurants all over the Island) We ordered the butter chicken, mattar paneer, and shrimp korma. We got them all medium hot and it was the perfect amount of kick. All very flavourful and generous portion sizes. Highly recommend ordering from here.
Nice, friendly staff, big portions of everything, and they have a cheese-filled naan
I ordered vej and a chicken Biryani, around 3pm on 23 July. It was not biryani, it was pulao. They dont know what biryani should taste like. It was just they want to add variety to their menu Taste was so dull, there was not even proper salt in it. It was taste less, it taste like a boiled vej and rice Biriani should be full of flavors and masala, but their biryani is 0% flavor and 0% masala Dont buy their biryani, its waste of money. But their server was very polite, and was doing her job responsibly. Complete waste of money, they should remove biryani from their menu
Vegetarian options: This is good place for vegetarian options. There are a lot of vegetarian options. I love all the dishes. The environment is really good. Food
Authentic Indian taste, the best menu in the entire island for the Indian food. The chef is the best, he can customise the food as per the taste of the customer. A must go place, ample parking space available. Vegetarian options: Paneer tikka masala
This is not a Vegetarian Restaurant. When we went inside this restaurant, we ordered Chana Samosa, Aloo tikki with Chana, and Veggie samosa. After couple of minutes the staff came to us and said that we use same oil for both Non-Vegetarian and Vegetarian food.
This was our first time here and we will definitely be back!!! :D Food was amazing and the servers were so sweet,, portions were big too which was awesome So glad we found this gem
They have the best samosas I ve ever eaten. Will definitely be coming back!
Worth it proper Indian food some unique dishes
Absolutely delicious :) the Palak tastes fresh, and the appetizer mix had great stuff. However, theres a high-pitched whistling noise coming from the kitchen, so if youre noise sensitive get takeout. Food
First time experience, it was quite good actually, love the taste and service.
Loved the food and service.
Everything so good, food and service were excellent
Good service
I was craving for indian food. This one offers a delightful fusion of traditional Indian flavours with a modern twist, focusing on healthy and fresh ingredients. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. I will definitely go there again!! So good!
provides delicious food with best consumer service
We came for Dine in and the food was amazing and super tasty. Very good service and affordable prices too. We will definitely come back . Food
This review is written the second day the restaurant is open, which leaves room for the general experience to become even better down the road. With the building formerly being the restaurant Jo Klassens, a fish and chips joint that a handful of friends and colleagues would go to for a cheap dinner, we were excited to see of all things a new Indian restaurant take its place. The inside has been repainted to a more appropriate orange with a handful of photos relating to spices hanging on the walls. You can currently still see traces of the former establishment still kicking around, and I really look forward to how it will look when they will make it their own in full. The menu pricing works on a ala carte system, where if youre expecting the blocks of cheese in butter chicken, that comes as an add-on you can pick and choose from. They tend to structure plates as their base (curry, butter chicken etc) with grains (rice and their various naan breads) as sides. I admit it took me a little longer than it should have to realize this, though its important to note the pricing is pretty reasonable for the food you get. This time around my brother and I ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan and I got a Mango Lassi, their version of a smoothie thats nice and creamy. They have four different grades of spicy for all of their foods, and most people will probably do with their medium, 2/4 spiciness. 1 has basically none, so its recommended for children or the especially sensitive pallet. The chicken was cooked splendidly, the medium spice gave the butter chicken sauce the right amount of personality and the naan was terrific. I honestly should have gotten a second order to finish my dish, but I made the chicken do its job. It is very apparent that the staff are very new at handling the business side of things currently, which wasnt much of a problem for me at the time as we knew to keep things simple for our first visit. I have no doubt this wont be an issue as they go along and hopefully gain more popularity for their pricing and quality of food. Overall this was a decent first experience in taste and price, with anticipation for when they get themselves more established in the future. Ill definitely recommend it if youre a fan of Indian cuisine or are curious. Be sure to look up their menu beforehand and get an idea if you can, if you arent familiar. Its worth it for their meats, vegan options and specials. As a final aside, theres an option in their kids menu for something called the Butter Chicken Poutine which I wish I could have tried just for the idea of it. Best of luck, Signature Indian Cuisine, and welcome to the Valley.
Very delicious food
Here we found very good quality of food and also staff of the restaurant behaved very well Food is delicious.. thanku Food
Simply amazing and delicious food hands down experience perfect for family lunch and dinner
Wonderful place! The food was perfectly spiced and well flavoured. The staff was also so kind and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch! Exceptional.
I visit yesterday in this restaurant and its quite good . The food was fantabulous, the vibe of the restaurant was superb. I enjoyed my food as well the service was really fast and my food was Soo hot and fresh. I will definitely visit again Food
Good food, good service!
The lunch special was huge. Butter chicken, dal, salad, rice, pampadam and 2 huge naan (made in house). This is not a franchise. The owner is the chef. The interior is a bit severe(very orange), and obviously it will be more homey in time. I ordered medium heat and it was great for me, but then I like it rather hot. They can serve food mild, medium, medium hot, hot and super hot. I realize that Signature is new on the scene but was surprised as there was only one other dining, and a few take outs. The menu is extensive with options ranging from vegetarian to fish and goat. I would have liked to rate them higher and just may in the future.
Vegetarian options: best indian food place in town, have a lot of options Food
Excellent food and great prices, and friendly service, diffent then the others in great way. :)
Paneer Butter Masala was to die for! Naan and Basmati Rice were perfect companions. Highly recommend Signature
Me and my friend went there for dinner. The tikki was amazing. I ve never had a tikki like that before. The food was delicious as well. We had a great time there.
The best Indian food Ive had in the Comox Valley. Everything was delicious! I recommend trying the mango chicken curry. Great fast service for take out and they even called me to let me know it was ready.
