Delicious food, excellent coffee and friendly, helpful service.
We ordered split pea soup and a quiche, and a double americano each. The soup was so watery and didn’t taste like pea soup at all. Maybe some kind of bone broth with no flavor. The quiche was just as flavorless. It was fluffy, and didn’t taste like egg or anything. So bland. Really disappointing.
Stopped in for lunch on a whim and had a great meal! I think this is the first South African restaurant I’ve ever been to, and I’d definitely come back!

Service was good. I loved the big garage door looking out onto 5th Street. The food was pretty good. Their turkey sandwiches were great. A bit on the pricy end though.
Another gem in Courtenay! Friendly staff and an interesting selection of classic and south African items. The side salad was a generous side and not too heavily dressed, and the spice on the avocado toast was spot on.
Staff took other people in line that were behind. Not recommend

This is a great little stop for quick bites, esp if youre shopping on 5th or running errands downtown. The service is prompt and friendly, the food is delicious (sandwiches, quiche, salads, pastries) and we love sitting by the large, open window.
Always really good food, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere :). Very reasonable prices too. I had the crêpe and it s very delicious! Thick, fluffy, and flavourful. Lots of other options, with some rotating and new desserts whenever we visit. Highly recommend!

The team at Mignon & Kie helped me out in a pinch when I needed a last minute lunch for a six person business meeting. They put together a fantastic lunch that I could grab and go with. The presentation, food and pricing all exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend them!
Really super little place. Its even better than first appears - what was advertised as just sandwiches turned out to be a great variety of styles and ingredients; and there was also a slightly hidden menu of specials that can be prepared to order. I hope it prospers - it should do!
I had the pork bao bun. Couldve been grilled more. It was amazing though. They have a very unique menu. Very diverse which is wonderful to see.
