White Spot Courtenay in Courtenay

Ive eaten at other White Spots and always enjoyed the food. NOT this time. We had fish and chips, with a clam chowder bowl. Unfortunately I didnt enjoy any of it! Breading very thick on fish, chips just OK. Manhattan clam chowder is not my favorite, but this had no flavour and very little clams. My Hubby had coffee and I had water. Our bill was over $50!

My host family and me always dined in here every Fridays with their lovely friends back in 2017 and 2018. I loved the vibe, the people and the food. I would def visit back if i have a chance to come back to Comox. Food

4.80 for o.j is a bit steep. Great breakfast spot!

The food was phenomenal, even tho it was just a cheeseburger with ketchup and triple o sauce, it was so good. The waiter was kind and patient, and even though I was over 10, she still let me have the Pirate Pak meal. The inside and music looked amazing and sounded amazing. I recommend going here if your looking for a good time.

Always love coming here for family birthdays, mothers day etc. We are a family of 6 and everyone always leaves happy here so it seems to be the only place we book when there are family events. Service is top notch and the pirate pak is such a hit for the little one. There are lots of different things to choose from the menu. :)

It was late afternoon we sat on bar side but I felt they forgot about us . Food was better than I expected . The specialty non alcoholic drinks were bottomless but with no service I felt lucky to get 1 refill. I had Cobb Salad the lettuce was on the verge of wilty. The chicken onto wa tasty butvquitecsmall portion overall the salad was big. My partner had fries which are Also free refill but that never happened. I had 2 of his fries and they were delicious . Hes a regular said it was unusual to be ignored must have been time of day .

The best value for the price in the area. My fish and chips were fresh and delicious. Everyone else was happy with their meals.and gluten free options are labeled now.

Not the most amazing food, but very good and always consistent. Service is top notch, and the servers were polite and accommodating. Super fast service, and an OK selection of choices on the menu. Its about $25-ish dollars for a meal per person, but the servings are huge. Nice place for a classy dinner without costing a pile of money.

This is usually a yummy place to eat. But I bought their turkey dinner for two... the one where you have to heat it up yourself. The turkey tasted like processed meat (and it was rubbery) instead of fresh turkey breast. The rest of the dinner was just as bad

Stopped in last month with my MIL and had breakfast. Jason served us and was top notch! Great Job Jason! Breakfast was huge! MIL had the Straw waffle and I couldnt believe she ate the entire thing, she said she did because it was so good. I had the Nats Harty breakfast and could barley finish it. Cooked to my asking. Busy place and our server was fantastic. The food however is mediocre. I appreciate they offer you limitless fries but - yuck. Im not sure how they prepare them but soggy sticks of potato...colorless, flavorless but if you are really hungry - all you can eat. I had the burger. Second time and not as good as first trip. Patty was charred and flavor was OK but it was really dry. Over cooked? Or the way they make them? The one plus about the food was the kids menu - the pirate boat is a hit and good value. Just my opinion. The place is packed for dinner so they are doing something right. Could be the super friendly Staff?

Their WhiteSpot Legendary Burgers never disappoint! Paired with fries, zoo sticks and a beer is so satisfying. Came here after work looking for a fulfilling meal. Came on a night where the WhiteSpot Legendary Burger was on sale when paired with a drink. The gentleman who welcomed me was friendly and struck up a nice convo. Service was prompt and food was served hot. Would definitely come back especially since their fries are bottomless. That alone is worth the trip if you are craving a good burger on a good deal! Lovely place to have a dinner. Staff was polite and seated us right away. Food was good, we did burgers and they ware some good burgers, the mushroom Monty was excellent Atmosphere inside was great and prices are ok concidering other options. If youre not dining in then wendies maybe is cheaper and you get burger as good as here but if your goal is to sit at the table then white spot is going to be a better experience.

Prices for eating out are expensive everywhere. The nice server gave us a bit extra, on everything and help split meals to help our family. For this it made it worth it.

Cheery atmosphere due to the holidays, super friendly and fast service and delish food for a cheaper price. Last time had the quesadilla and was twice as big as expected haha would definitely recommend.

We travelled to the White Spot Courtenay from Victoria to meet another couple that had travelled from Quadra Island - a meet in the middle lunch. The four of us had a great table, and a great server - Tammy I think - who was very efficient and welcoming. The food was excellent and to everyones liking. And we stayed for 2 1/2 hours and were welcome to do so. Probably the best White Spot Ive ever been to, and Ive been to quite a few.

Waited 2hrs to be served cold food and no water refills until I asked. All the tables around us were served and payed. By the last hour we were the only table in the space and our server still walks by and barely checks in. Do we stink or something? Or is it our skin? Who knows

Family friendly, prompt service and good food!

Feb19, 2023, 7 of us went at 6:30pm, order went in their system at 6:56(according to their system), no food at 8pm, asked why, then the food is ready right away, but almost cold. clearly we were treated late, but the aggressive manager denied with lie, I dont like the Disrepctive lie, asked her to show me any other customers that waited longer than 1 hour, she managed to find one who came in at 7:10 but already had their food. anyway, I just dont like disrespective lie.

I didnt get anything but it seemed like a nice place.

I love their blueberry milkshake. The staff is always so nice and quick to get my order, The main thing, they dont judge as i go their looking weirdo all the time. I looked like the manager there was giving side eye* vibe, cuz maybe i was not dressed well and i was wearing slippers with different socks on,, but i couldnt care less. I will definitely dress up one day to go & get my milkshake just to make sure that i dont carry the weirdo image there,, Everybody doin an amazing job,, thank you!!!

The smashed potatoes could have used better seasoning. Sincerely appreciated the friendly and accommodating staff. I have a gluten intolerant toddler and they were able to recommend a food item she could have while informing me they could not guarantee the item I wanted would be gluten free. Dietary restrictions: Able to accomodate a gluten free/lactose free (Not celiac) toddler. Parking: Decent amount of parking even during lunch hours. Kid-friendliness: Crayons! They have em. Make sure you ask for a pack when you come in. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs or hard to navigate ledges, wide walking areas and same level seating (There is platform seating)

I attended an event in the small room at the back of the restaurant with a group on April 5, 2023. Our waitress (sorry I did not catch her name) was phenomenal taking such good care of our group of 20. She was efficient, took extra care of the little girl who joined us and handled all our requests patiently. I was very impressed.

Need to clarify this was the Drive Through on Ryan Road not the actual restaurant! Absolutely the worst takeout Burgers ever. Buttermilk Chicken Burger. Cold , slimey, rotten over ripe soggy lettuce and tomato. Bacon cheese Burger same thing. TRASH. 2 Combos with Cokes and Rings $40.00 !!!!! Nat Bailey rolling in his grave.

We grew up with White Spot and I can tell you (with the exception of 1 WhiteSpot in Victoria) this Courtenay restaurant is the best. You can always count on the food to be served in a reasonable time, always hot and always delicious. The restaurant is clean and well run. The staff are always pleasant and make you feel like theyre happy youre there. This is an incredibly well run restaurant!! I had the Avocado Queso Bowl which was very generous in size and I needed to take about two thirds of it home to finish for dinner. My husband had the White Spot Club and his comment was that it tastes just as delicious as it did 30 years ago. Well done you guys!

Grew up with White Spot, it was a treat. Then they were on the Ferry restraunt wonderful! Then drive thru, nice! Recently I went to the sit down restraunt and let me tell you its a way better burger, night and day better. Its not fast food quality, Ive stopped doing drive-thru due to wanting the real thing. Service is great and quick, saw a pirate pack go to a table so great atmosphere. If its been a while I would suggest trying the restraunt again or order it online for pick up from here at least. Kid-friendliness: Pirate Pack, say no more.

I was at Whitespot Today for Lunch, I had your lettuce wrap and a Ceasar Salad for lunch. The lettuce Wraps were MEH! I despise Cilantro, and that ruined my lunch, with my best friend, when it said Cilantro in the menu, I assumed it would be in with the chicken and a little bit. Not a pile of soap smelling leaves on the plate, Lettuce wraps are of Asian descent, mostly Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia; Most places serve them with Chinese lettuce; bean sprouts & Thai Basil. Iceberg Lettuce is nice, and close to traditional, where as Cilantro is native to the Mediterranean, and a hell of a long way away from Asia. A little research into menu origins would have gone a long way to allowing a foodi like myself enjoy my Lunch.. It will be a cold day in H, before I go back to White Spot, too many times, too many locations I have been disappointed at. (this was also sent to head office)

Made reservations for a birthday seated early which was great. We all ordered immediately but after over 50 minute wait and no food we asked someone to find our server. A manager came over and said we had only been waiting 29 minutes as that was what the computer said. How dare she question our word instead of checking when order was placed by the server. Then birthday persons bill was to be divided and that took for ever again after a different manager had to be called. Been going there for years for celebrations will think twice before going again especially when blaming their customers for their mistakes.

I had the Prawn Pasta and it was bathed in oil, literally. After mentioning it to the waiter, he said that they had forgotten to drain the oil. Attached is a photo of how ridiculous the amount of oil was.

I was pleased with the level of knowledge the staff had and the care the kitchen took, to provide me (a Celiac) something to eat. (I had no reactions after eating) Dietary restrictions: They have good enough practices to minimize cross-contamination, so I did not have any reactions as a Celiac.

Lunch staff was very attentive and personable. Had a great meal with my son who also loved his meal

The food was good but what was once a family friendly cost effective place to eat has become over priced. It cost us $28 just for desert.

Amazing customer service!

Adding an update after a less than ideal visit today, dropping from 5 stars to 3. As usual the food was excellent and came quickly after the order was put in. But thats where the good stops. TLDR: Front of house today looked like a rookie operation with a number of people seeming unsure what their jobs were, poor attention to detail and slow service. When we first entered the greeter was pretty unsure where she would seat a family of 4. After some delay trying to figure it out we were brought to our table. She seemed nice, just a bit unsure. It took a full 10 minutes before a server came over and thankfully we had already decided what to get. She took the order and the food came quickly. No one had noticed there were only 2 napkins/knives/forks. We needed extras because of the burgers but just asked for more napkins... The waters never came, and removal of plates once we finished was haphazard at best. Great food! But the experience cheapened the entire meal to a point I would not want to return to this location.

Good food. Busy and noisy restaurant, able to accommodate large groups. Can be hard to find a server to help you out, at times!

Server and service excellent. The food was disappointing. The chicken pieces in the chicken teriyaki were small and very few. There was no flavour, sauce was almost non existent. We had to ask for more sauce to give the dish flavour. There was no seasoning.

Ordered takeout, no big issues but the front counter staff had to call three different people to help me cash out since the original hostess didn t know how to claim a gift card, and the second hostess she called over didn t know how to check the balance on a gift card. Our pirate pak ice creams were melted by the time I left the restaurant. They also messed up a couple little things in our order (missing pickles, missing side of fries), but the food was good.

I eat here all the time, the services is impeccable and the food has always been hot, fast and good.

The white spot has always been a good eat in restaurant with a good family menu. In recent years many of the restaurants have become very loud with music and people yelling to be heard, but this one was different. It was nice to eat a good meal in a more peaceful sirrounding

Every time we go to White Spot we have good food, fast and friendly service with a smile and feel truly satisfied with our meals! Great place for the kids and has some amazing meal options for the adults. Kid-friendliness: Love the pirate boats and fantastic kids menu, kids are really taken into consideration at White Spot!

My son an I went for dinner tonight. Placed our order, food came, mine was a clubhouse - the sour dough bread was not toasted, the sandwich was cold as were the fries. I would have mentioned it to the waiter if I ever saw him again during the meal. I was taking the last couple bites of my sandwich when he came around to ask how everything was. I told him and he took $3.00 off my bill for cold fries. Very disappointing. I wouldnt have eaten the food except I was starting with a low blood sugar.

We had a group dinner here and everyone enjoyed three meal. I had the Cobb Salad which could have had more chicken and it was hard to find the bacon but it did taste good

Wonderful staff and the food is always great.

Burgers were very juicy and tasty. The dry ribs were also very great to start with and make sure to ask to get them tossed in hot sauce if you like it spicy!

Food is surprisingly good and not too expensive.
