Super place, great food!

This is our favorite restaurant in cranbrook to bring friends. We had a brisk warm welcome and seated. Our server was fantistic. We all enjoy different delicious meals. All served hot and fresh. I had the King Kong burger it is a very unique blend of flavors that really works. Our friends enjoy there experiences. Also enjoy local beer. It was truly a great meal. Look forward to our next foodie fix. Dietary restrictions: Pineapple for me and bacon for my friend. Both were addressed.

I had Eve as my server here Saturday and i had the best time. 10/10 will be back and hope to have eve as my server again she is awesome

first-time in, had the beef dip, and sister had salad it was great. I recommend this place and encourage people to compare to know just how tasty this place is.

Update your burgers! Bring back BODANGLES! Take out 4/5 times forgets the gravy for your poutine so check or you will have dry fries like my first few take outs. Otherwise burgers are pricey but good

Update 2024: Returning for my first time since the COVID lockdowns and I have to say, still amazing!! The Hobo chicken burger is the best thing since PB&j Great food. Great service. Very clean and well distanced patio dining with propane heaters. Loved the entire meal. The menu has so much fabulous variety. Definitely a must-stop in Cranbrook!

The hostess did her best. Seemed to have been understaffed. She was running her ass off clearing tables and glasses. We were 2 minutes away from walking out after waiting 1 1/2 hours for our dinner. Thankfully! The Beef Dip was really good once we got it. The Caesar Salad missed the mark. It was nothing but whole leaves of romaine lettuce topped with cheese and a vinegar dressing. We substituted the French fries for salad and were still charged $3. Really! Unless you are in a booth, the metal chairs are uncomfortable and cold. We were moved to a booth but we still froze our asses off with the overhead door open. My husband said he was so cold his legs were shaking. I do not recommend this place for seniors. Leave it for the younger crowd.

Just had a great lunch here, very cool to turn an old fire house into a Brew house. Just dont ask what the soup of the day is.

Showed up at 8:20 on a Friday night could see numerous empty tables and the snotty hostess said they were full and had no cutlery. We might get in in maybe 20 minutes... Maybe. Could see 3 empty table inside and at least 6 on the patio. Very evident she had zero desire to have 4 diners from out of town. Reply to the response: Hi Tara, We were not frustrated that we could not get in right away, we were insulted by her condescending demeanor. We gave her our number and were planning on waiting. She never once said there were any resos coming in. She said the empty tables were dirty and they had no cutlery. (Which was sitting on her station ready to be rolled up) She even went as far as to let us know which other places might not be as busy. She said she would call when a table opened up and see if we still wanted to come. Thankfully we did go elsewhere because she never called. Being 17 does not excuse a complete lack of customer service or manners

My new favorite restaurant

Love the fire hall in Cranbrook; I go there nearly every time Im in town and each time I choose something different off the menu --the lettuce wraps with tofu are so good --I had that the other day! Im always trying some of the great beers they have too- All in all good place to go eat --from just snacks and beer or full meals I recommend it to anyone I know traveling or staying at Cranbrook.

Great food great prices

Very mixed results. Drinks were excellent (but extremely expensive at $15 for a cocktail). Beef dip was fantastic and reasonably priced but the chicken wings were awful (they had obviously been cooked hours earlier and then reheated, tasted fine, but extremely dry). Be prepared to pay extra just to swap your fries for a garden salad (which I think is embarrassingly bad policy).

My husband and I were visiting from Calgary. The food at the Fire Hall was amazing! I had the kale caesar salad and it was a big portion and so yummy. My husband had a beef dip and said it was the best one hed ever had! The drinks were good too and our server was friendly! Highly recommend this place.

It took us 2 hours to get the food after we got almost all of it was raw!

The old firewall makes for such a cool restaurant. Great beer, great food! Would love to come back.

There was not one thing at this restaurant that I didnt love. My table shared 3 dishes a hamburger, beef dip and a Ceaser Salad. They were all delicious. The waiter was welcoming, efficient but never hurried. If Im ever back in Cranbrook I would revisit. I will tell my friends to go there.

Ingredients seemed very fresh, and my husband said it was the best beef dip sandwich he ever had. Our waitress was kind and efficient.

The Fire Hall was recommended to us from the lovely ladies at Twisted Peak! We love to check out local gems when we travel and this recommendation didnt disappoint. We came for supper and it was awesome! I loved the vibe of the whole restaurant, such a fun atmosphere. The food was ahmazing! I had a salad that was so fresh and full of so many awesome ingredients and the crispy chicken was the perfect addition. My husband had the truffelufagus burger and he said it might be the best burger hes ever had! The server was super sweet and we promised to leave our review so here it is! Thanks Fire Hall for a great experience

Nice place however serice was not even decent. Menu looks ok until you actually look at it. Very limited options and took a long time to decide what over priced item we wanted to try. Food took forever to recieve, was mediocre at best and highly over priced. Most food arrived coldincluding pickle chips which wouldnt be a big deal, however if i pay those prices i expect everything to be hot and fresh. Very limited, pretencious menu (artisan lettuce is just a spring mix). Spent almost $200 (with tip) for our group and left extremely disappointed. Based on the experience we had and watching other patrons, we figured this was the norm them so we didnt bother asking for a manager to discuss our disappointed. Figured they wouldnt care anyway. Definitely dont recommend and absolutely wont be back.

This is a regular spot for us to get food but we are very disappointed with the burger this time. It was built as poorly as a fast food burger, everything on one side falling off, would have been better to just give us the ingredients so we could put it together ourselves. The restaurant is usually very good so this was extra frustrating.

I dined here twice while staying in Cranbrook. Gluten free options were good. First time was a great experience, and food and drinks were great. I ordered wings the second time and they were not very good at all, they just didn t have much of any sauce on them and were very tasteless for 20$ and I got about 8 wings. I understand chicken prices are bad right now and I don t blame the restaurant for that. Unfortunately, the server never came back after dropping off the food except for the bill so I was unable to check in with her regarding the food. She just gave me a takeout box after seeing I had only eaten two. It was busy and I understand. Still, my first experience would bring me back.

Passing through Cranbrook, we were looking for lunch with Gluten-free options. Great place to sit out on the patio and relax on a nice day. Service was great and everyone at our table really enjoyed the food.

My partner and I stopped here for a bite and a rest before the long drive we had ahead of us back to Edmonton. It was a beautiful, hot summer day and we sat out on the patio. The alternative would have been to stop somewhere quick for some fast food, but Im glad we stopped here as both the food and drink menu were just excellent. I ordered the Kale Cesar salad and I swear Ill be dreaming about it until the next time Im in the area. My partner had one of the burgers they had on the menu and he also had great things to say about it. The folks in the kitchen and the bar truly know what they are doing here. The people of Cranbrook are lucky to have this gem local to them!

Lovely place with an edgy kind of style, mouthwatering dishes and very pleasant service. Should we stop by Cranbrook again, this will be the place to have dinner/lunch!

We visited on a hot summer Wednesday and the restaurant was not overly busy. The restaurant is cool. Love the decor! It took a bit for a server to visit our table, so we ordered drinks and food all at once. The drinks arrived within a minute but the food took nearly 45 minutes. Tasty burgers but the fries were just okay. Unfortunately our server didn t come to check on us for drink refills and when waiting so long for food and it being so hot inside and out, it was disappointing. Room for improvement. If we were to visit Cranbrook again would go to Heid Out instead. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and relaxed atmosphere.

Really friendly and pleasant staff. The food is phenomenal. I try to stop when I can for the truffaluffagus burger... my favorite for sure with the g3 fries and truffle mayo. Scrum diddly. a little on the pricey side, but worth it for sure.

Great food, great mocktails, and great N/A beers. Server was super nice and accommodating and made the dining experience phenomenal. We went on memorial Day and were able to be served quickly.

I got the jerk pulled pork poutine, the me u was unclear about cheese curds still bing included. But they were. The pulled pork was amazing. Best jerk style pork Ive had. The gravy was also quote delicious. The atmosphere was really cool and braced the history of the bulidng. Seeing old pictures of building through time, along with the old helmets and axes. Parking: Parking lot is smaller but there is street parking of needed. Not a issue unless super busy hours

Bun to burger portions way out. Way to much bun for the amount of burger. Burger and fries really really average for a $23 burger. Plus charged $2.50 for small side of mayo. I could see maybe .75 cents or maybe a buck. Didnt mention the $2.50 charge when it was ordered. Food

I have no idea how this place doesn t have perfect reviews. I grew up working in restaurants and I have VERY high expectations. They blew me away! The Kale ceaser was a revelation the hobo blew my socks off. I can t recommend this place enough!! Wow.

Love this place, i have been here twice while passing through town. Their burgers are fantastic and i cant recommend them enough. Great selection of beers and cocktails to order from as well. The menu is well done and creatively put together. I have only heard good things from my friends that visit here as well. Would happily recommend to anybody.

We stopped into the Hall on a whim as we were deciding what to do on our weekend here. Nice beers (after getting some keg bottoms), great server. I opted not to have any food as I was craving pizza but the menu seemed to be good. Pricing along with all other cranbrook pricing. Id come back to try their sandwiches.

Dirtbag Burger is awesome. Sauce is similar to big Mac. Patty is homade. I Went to the hideout the next day and I enjoyed the fire hall burger more.

Just happened to stop in while traveling through the area and we decided to check it out. The service was fantastic and very welcoming. The food and drink suggestions were out standing. Loved all of it. Definitely stopping back by as I travel through there often. Also I used to live there and love that the fireball has new life. (I started eating before I took pics lol)

5 stars because 10 is not an option. We were greeted by friendly staff who could seat our out-of-town party of 6 within minutes of arrival. The relaxed and beautiful ambiance was like a warm hug despite the frigid outside temperatures, and the blankets provided made it so much better. And then the food arrived. Beautifully presented and even better flavour, we knew we were in food heaven. We all had different burgers and all 6 were ahhmazing, as well as being large serving sizes that everyone left filled. We will be back when visiting Cranbrook again!

Fantastic beer selection and great burgers. The poutine had a little too much gravy though, you shouldnt have to hunt for fries under a pool of the stuff. But it was delicious regardless. I love the hops growing on the building!

Burgers was great, poutine wasnt (fries were good, but the sauce and cheese used need to be reconsidered). The service was a bit slow. Their menu options were pretty good. The place looked pretty nice inside, but was a bit too noisy with the echos. Parking felt a little tricky.

Wonderful food, excellent service. The gravy, the steak sandwich, and the Raspberry Dirtbag Hard Lemonade are out of this world!! 100% will return. I returned with a friend, and it was just as good as the first time!

On a Trip through the mountains and thought lets give this unique restaurant a try. Start off with the staff were nice and friendly. The atmosphere was cool sitting in what once was a Fire Hall for Cranbrook. They have wide selection of beers to choose from, I had a long drive ahead of me so I didnt get to try any. My had ordered smoked salmon and noodles she really enjoyed and found it to be very filling. I had order the two piece fish and chips. Was it the best fish and chips Ive ever had no but they were pretty good. One thing I could suggest would be to serve the fish and chips on a plate rather then a bowl? Other then that not a bad spot to grab a bite to eat.

Hostess was good. The food came out cold ! We waited for the server to bring us basic drinks . She took other tables orders after they were seating 30 minutes after us. We asked questions about the menu. She had no knowledge about the food in her establishment. We tried to find a someone to talk to too resolve these issues but they snubbed us. $5.00 for a chocolate milk that came out in a small milk to go container. . The pulled pork poutine was BBQ sauce on tops of cold under cooked fries . The fish & chips I ordered was still cold and mushy . The worst dining experience to have. I called and finally was able to speak to someone about our horrible experience. She did not resolve anything, only made my experience worse. Very disappointing in every aspect. Due to this experience our birthday lunch was ruined by basic expectations. I highly recommend dining somewhere. Where they actually care about quality of theyre food. Two thumbs

Just ok

The kids and I decided to go out for supper tonight and try out a new place. They decided we would try out the fire hall kitchen and tap in cranbrook and what an amazing choice, I am going to start with the service from the second we walked through the door it was amazing. We were seated out on the patio and while we waited we had a table of gentlemen seated behind us which one of them must have had axe air freshners stuffed in his pockets, this was not the main problem however one of the men from the group was cursing and being quite a jerk.....obviously to many beers between 1st and 18th. I requested that they watch there mouth as there were children right beside them at which time some of the other gentlemen there apologized for him and the servers immediately moved us away from the group and also apologized which truly meant the world to me that they were as concerned about it as I was. As an employee of a company that has a 5 star google review I know the importance of customer service and good PR. The food was different and unbelievably great. When we went to leave I was informed that our bill was paid for as well as some gift cards for the restaurant now I have no idea who paid the bill and gave the cards but whether it was someone from the other table, the gentlemen that was being rude or the restaurant I just want to say thanks it was not needed however I appreciate it more than you know. I never got the servers name but if you read this you have my 5 stars and we will definitely be back.

This was such a great place! The old fire hall, the service, and games that you could bring to the table. But also the amazing food! We had a party of 8 and everyone loved what they had. If we come to Cranbrook again, were definitely stopping here! Dietary restrictions: The vegan option was incredible!

Fire hall is always a gem to go to. But I don t recommend the Panoramen unless you want a super fishy soup stock for a ramen that has pork in it Other than that, very nice place to eat! I recommend the fries and Mac and cheese!

The food here was sooo amazing! I shared the workaday burger and the chicken club with my mother in law and so I got to try both, and they are both sooo tasty! I also upgraded my fries to poutine and that was so good and proper as it came with cheese curds. My husband tried the Crawl stout beer on tap and that was really tasty as well. Service was really good! Usually when I cant finish my meal I tell the wait staff that the meal beat me, and this is the first time someone came back with ah, we won this round eh? I laughed. Definitely will be back!

We had a 4 adult 1 kid meal that was under 140 including tip and drinks. Amazing food, fresh veggies, great patties and the fries are fantastic with ketchup or plain. Love love eating here! The service is usually really great, and with the food. My one piece of advice to those with a bad back - ask for a booth, the metal chairs are killer! The Dirty Lemonade is yum! I also had the Vegetarian options: There arent a ton of options but there are some really great choices

So good my younger family came back a second day in a row! What a fun atmosphere and amazing food! We loved putting our phones away to play Jenga and cards at the table. The restaurant was able to answer our food allergy questions and serve an amazing dish as requested. I ordered the Hobo - which sounded a bit intimidating but it was delicious! I may have sampled the kids chicken strips and I must say they are the best chicken strips I have had yet.

Really great food with unique menu items. We were a large group and food came warm and timely. I had a blue Hawaii burger that was delish and the Caesar salad dressing is my favorite of any Ive had in any restaurant - great garlic flavour. We will be back!
