If you want to be robbed 13 pounds for two bacon baps with only two slices of bacon go ahead but I will never go there again. I come from London and paid cheap and better Food

Great place for a lunch stop. Food is fairly straightforward & simple, but nice. Its tucked down a walkway & most of the tables are outside the cafe itself, but under cover. Food

This is a very friendly, helpful cafe. The food is freshly made although the menu is not extensive the selection they have is good for lunch or just a coffee. This place is tucked away just off the high street however they do have a sign outside. Keep a look out as this place is well worth a visit.

I love this cafe! Me and my partner stumbled upon it whilst visiting cranbrook for the first time and we were made to feel so welcome and at home. The food was delicious and hit all the right spots. The lovely lady there even made me a special christmas sandwich! It was incredible and a lovely environment. All the staff were so friendly and funny. Very nice cafe and will be coming back here again as soon as possible!

Visited yesterday with a friend. We both had cassarole which was one of the specials, and a drink (tea and elderflower). Could not fault the food or the service however I feel that the price was extremely high. It came to over £36! My friend paid and wasnt fazed but I think this is way too expensive

Eggs overcooked. Economy bread and cheap ingredients. I wont return.

Food cooked to order and very, very tasty. Service was good and breakfast delivered to our table very quickly. Both orange juice and coffee were very tasty. Breakfast was quality and the plates not awash with grease. Staff very cheerful/friendly and they also have a very good lunch menu. Wheelchair accessibility: There is very good wheelchair access, but car parking in the street can be a bit hit and miss.

Such a beautiful place amazing food and incredible staff! The staff are so friendly and helpful. We celebrated my nans 80th birthday here and she had the best day! Thank you for the best food and a lovely visit

What a wonderful cafe ,visited it twice and both times could not fault it in any way . The ladies who run it are amazing, friendly and go out of their way to give a good service. Presentation of food is outstanding and the cleanliness is excellent. Definitely would recommend for any occasion Kid-friendliness: My grandson was asked how he wanted his sandwich, ie no crusts . Was presented with a cucumber & tomato face . Afterwards he was given some haribos Was included in conversation Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs ,and our first vist a lady in a wheelchair was celebrating her birthday . They went out of their way to accommodate this

Excellent friendly service. Fantastic food (I really recommend the chips!), and they cater for food allergy and intolerance. The gluten-free bread is delicious Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options and some vegan options too.

The staff are always so friendly, had a quick lunch and it tasted fab.

Standard little cafe, bit like they used to be but not necessarily in a good way. Food is ok all be it a bit expensive in my opinion,inside is bland but inoffensive. Its ok,not much else to choose from so I guess they dont need to put in much effort

Second visit this week

Popped here yesterday, me & my friend was visiting the area this is little gem of a place the staff are so lovely, especially one of the staff called Tom , Tom couldn t do enough for us such a polite person, the cafe is Very clean reasonably priced, definitely go back here again

I had a lovely breakfast in Cranbrook and found food for thought by stumbling upon it. I had the full English breakfast. It was well made but a bit pricey to be honest, I didnt expect a London price so far out. I found it tasty but not value for money. They did get rather full by lunch time and so its obviously a popular spot. The staff are very friendly too

Excellent breakfast with the most perfect poached eggs ever tasted! Husband says best breakfast out he has ever had- well cooked and presented full English, non greasy and all served at the right temperature. Parking: A good test of kerbside parking skills !

I love this place. The only place I am happy to come and eat alone. This is due to the atmosphere and the lovely staff. Thank you ladies

Lovely little coffee shop that really is a hidden treasure, behind some large metal gates on the main road in the centre of the town. The two ladies who run the business are so accommodating and really kind, always a smile on their faces and nothing is too much trouble - plus they make the best coffee (give Costa a swerve and support a brilliant little business instead!) in Cranbrook and the rest of the menu is just as impressive as their coffee! My 5yr old grandaughter thought shed died and gone to heaven with the hot chocolate and salted caramel brownie lol!

Lovely cafe dinner the ladys who worked there were friendly food was hot and delicious my partner john hadsteak and kidney pie it looked delicious and totally packed with meat. He ate it all. Johndies not eat too much as he is having chemo and his appetite has gone. We will be back... The customer service is excellent thank you olease give this place a try...

Food for thought is a gem, an amazing place to spend your time. Im so happy I found this oasis the coffee is excellent and the duck teriyaki with rice noodles was five star Michelin quality. If you are in cranbrook I highly recommend food for thought.

Food is wonderful as is the staff

We had a very tasty lunch at Food For Thought. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. There was a good choice of meals, daily specials as well as lighter bites and sandwiches. I had a delicious home-made asparagus and brie quiche with a salad. There is plenty of undercover seating - perfect on a rainy day!! The tables were all spotlessly clean.

On a rainy June 21 day this place provided a sanctuary, with great food and a wonderfully welcoming and attentive owners who could not have done enough for us and cheered us up immensely. Thoroughly recommended!

Found this delightful cafe on google maps on our way to Sissinghurst. The food was fresh and delicious The bread is from a local baker and made a good breakfast great. The lady that served us was a delight friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Totally recommend it if your in the area

The food was acceptable, the service was friendly but for some reason our food took 45 minutes and arrived after 4 other tables were served that arrived at the cafe after us???

Ok it was a Saturday lunch time but if you are going to offer about fifteen tables you should provide more than one waitress however pleasant she appeared. We found an empty table but it did not have a menu on it so we could not even plan what we wanted. After waiting over ten minutes without acknowledgement we upped and left. Very sad and disappointing.

Had a lovely full English which was prepared quickly. Table service was attentive and polite, will be returning soon.

Me and my partner went for breakfast this morning. Very reasonable prices. The lady who serves us was very friendly and attentive which is very rare nowadays at most restaurants ect. Lovely cooked full english which was very filling and the best hot chocolate me and my partner have ever had. Definitely recommend and will be coming back soon!

Another awesome lunch today, cheese ploughmans followed by HOMEMADE white chocolate and raspberry gateau washed down with a flat white, all enjoyed in the peaceful, sunny courtyard, better just mention the service is top notch too!!!!
