Great food, only Mapo tofu in town (that I've seen)
Long time regular customer. I Always come here when in town. Fast and friendly service everytime . Consistently exceeds my expectations. Authentic and delicious! I've eaten Chinese food from Toronto to Vancouver and Lucky Star is up there with the best of them ! Thank you Lucky Star !
*horrible food, horrible service” I asked on the phone if they had a shrimp hot and sour soup, and the woman at the counter said, “yes, we have it and it has tofu too.” I took it home only to find out it had chicken in it. Due to our religious restrictions, we do not consume chicken (specifically) from non-halal restaurants. And so, this was a serious concern for us. When I called back to explain what happened, she told me to come back for a refund and hung up before I could get another word in. When I arrived, she immediately said, “where’s the soup? You want a refund? You gotta bring it back.” Naturally, we had thrown it away after seeing we could not eat it, and her response was, “well, if you want a refund, go pick it up from the garbage.” If she had told me on the phone to bring the soup, I would have. If she had told me in person that she couldn’t refund without the soup due to policy, I would have left it at that. Instead, she told me to go home and pick up the soup from the garbage with an INCREDIBLY condescending tone. When my husband stepped in and gently pointed out that no one expects chicken in a shrimp dish without being told, she shot back, “this is Chinese food, not Indian food.” We were completely baffled, stunned and hurt by her comments. We've never had such a racist encounter at Cranbrook before. After seeing their Google reviews, it’s clear that bad service is a pattern. I wish I would have read it prior. Before we left, she said, “don’t ever come back again.” Needless to say, I won’t, and I hope for your peace and for your family’s peace sake, you won’t either. It’s extremely hurtful and disappointing that what should have been a nice little treat for my husband and I turned into an encounter like this.
I ordered beef and broccoli and chicken with mixed vegetables. Both dishes were eatable, but it was just broccoli with beef on top and mixed vegetables with chicken on top. The vegetables were fresh but not very flavorful, and like some other comments, the container was only about 2/3 full. It would be better to raise the price and fill the container.
Dinner for 3 only fed 2 people. 66 bucks for 4 half filled containers, a couple burnt shrimp and greasy egg rolls. Food mostly tasted fine / good, but don't come here if your hungry. Paid 10 bucks extra to swap rice for 12 chunks of ginger beef. What a rip off. The people seemed nice.
We stopped here for lunch while visiting Cranbrook. We ordered 3 item combo for 16.95 + tax. The chicken balls were mostly batter with very little chicken, the chow mein noodles were rubbery as if they had been microwaved, the chicken fried rice was good. The place seems very run down although it does seem to be clean. The service was okay but nothing special to note about it. We would likely not stop here again or recommend to others.
Edited: Got takeout for 3 in June and portion sizes were WAY smaller so was Super disappointed. Reordered July 13 and they were back to being decent again…still less than original post though. And way better tasting. Not sure if new staff or old staff or quality control got better. Recent pic shows what it looks like/how much food. Dinner for 3 (Pickup) First time orderer: Wasn’t sure what to expect BUT food was great! Deep fried prawns were sizeable. Probably the best Sweet & Sour Pork I’ve had in a long time. Food was hot & not overdone. More than enough food for the family for dinner & leftovers. $52+tax+tip.
While spending the night in Cranbrook my partner and I decided to venture out and try the local Chinese food. Definitely glad we stopped by at Lucky Star. First I found the restaurant to have that small town classic Chinese feel with décor and atmosphere, I really enjoyed that. We started off with a staple dish in my opinion, the Wor wonton, the wonton were very tasty and generous with the portions, I was quite happy with the soup. For our mains we ordered the sweet and sour pork, shrimp egg Foo young, and spicy squid. The star of the three was definitely the egg Foo young, really appreciated the staff not adding the sauce on top and leaving it on the side, my partner and I really enjoyed the dish sans sauce. The sweet and sour pork was quite good , a bit dry but not bad, sadly the spicy squid wasn’t too spicy and I found the batter was a bit much and a hint sweet, I think next time I would like to order the crispy noodles in place. All in all a good experience , if your looking for a good western Chinese dinner I recommend a visit.
Our 1st time eating there. Got take out. Containers were full. Skimpy on the SS sauce for the chicken balls. Pork was over done so hard to chew. Flavorless
Ordered choose your own combo dinners. The vegetable chow mein had literally no vegetables and the owner argued with me and to my horror took me knife and picked through the noodles to show me the vegetables that weren t there. She finally agreed to bring me some vegetables, then to add insult to injury the chow mein noodles were moldy tasting. My husband had the chicken chow mein that had no vegetables and 4 small pieces of chicken also moldy tasting. Absolutely never going back.
Enjoyed authentic Chinese flavors without the trip to Chinatown!
Horrible service, Racist, and don t know how to take an order. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. My recent visit was nothing short of a nightmare. We asked for a seafood soup option. The lady answering said they had sea food hot and sour soup that has shrimp and tofu. When it arrived it had chicken in it. When we called she talked to the chef and confirmed the soup has chicken in it. She never apologized or showed accountability for taking the wrong order. Her dismissive attitude was infuriating. She said I don t want to fight with you, come back and we will refund you and hung up. When we showed up to the restaurant, she said she needed the soup back. She never asked us to bring it back. We said we threw it out. She actually insisted we need to go back, dig it out of the garbage and bring it back for refund! To make matters worse, she was being racist. When we said we ve never heard of anyone putting chicken in a seafood hot and sour soup, she said this is Chinese food not Indian food . She then proceeded to say I hope you never come back again The lack of professionalism and basic decency was astounding. Ive eaten Chinese food countless times, but I ve never encountered such terrible service or blatant racism. Save your money and avoid this restaurant at all costs.
Good food good experience very friendly
Please learn to not over cook the udon noddle. While the flavour was OK the noodles were mush. Please!?
Worst food ever!! Its not worth the price or potentially the food poisen that may surface in the next 12-24 hours. Even the bad chines food Ive had in the past is still good enough to eat. This was awful. 10/10 dont recommend.
Great atmosphere good food who doesnt like Chinese food
Great Wor wonton, chicken balls, and prawns.. Ill be back..
Was a really delicious chinese food, Ordered the chicken beggys, rice and ginger beef, all was well cooked, I 100% recommended.
I got take out for 1st time in years, the food was hot and so good recommend for sure
The place as clean and the people were friendly. The food however was somewhat less than stellar. Not very good at all ..
The ginger beef is best in town possibly the
Such great food...ginger beef was wonderful.
L restaurant. Food did not look appealing and tasted funky. Payed $10 for 6 small chicken balls. The Chinese restaurant in Kimberley is a lot better.
Great food large portions
Terrible, sorry for my luck
Great food! Great service! Love it
Everything tastes amazing love it !
The worse Chinese food I ever had ginger beef overcooked hard as a rock egg roll gross just a clump of batter tough it was fish in batter the size of it very greasy the chicken ball were dripping with oil the fried rice barely cooked and where s the chicken never go back there again no recommended unless you want to be sick
Big portions! Food is seasoned well and not overly greasy or salty. Veggies are the right level of tender - not overly crunchy or mushy. Cantonese chow mein is insanely good, piled a mile high with mixed meat and veggies. Black bean chicken is fantastic, you can really tell they seared it in a wok. Lots of flavorful charred bits. Wor Won Ton is great. Nice clean light broth, and, the won tons are tender without any meat gristle.
I used to enjoy eating here but when I returned a week ago and ordered my favourite combination plate the food was not the same. Meat had been overcooked to the point it crumbled apart (ginger beef) and the chicken balls had hardly any sauce on yhe them. The food was warm not hot like it used to be. Not sure if they changed cooks but the food standards dropped - too bad I liked this place but will not be returning.
Very happy with our dinner for 4. The food just seemed to keep coming and it only cost 71$ which was so reasonable. The photo is of the dinner for 4 combo. The service was hands down the best part, the people are so kind and gracious. Awesome food, awesome place to get a good meal for the family.
Good food several times that we ve ordered
Food was fast and very good
Owners are super friendly, food is yummy been there lots now and never a dull moment always suberb food.... A+ RATING FOR ME PLUS 2 THUMBS UP
Friendly owner
Placed an order for a dinner for 5 for pickup. My order was ready for the requested time, which was appreciated. However.. the food was terrible and basically inedible. Ginger beef and sweet and sour pork were cooked to point where it was crunchy, the chow mein was bland and almost greasy, and the rice didnt taste fresh. The only thing that was semi edible was the dry garlic pork and the lemon chicken (after the breading was removed). Its going to be a long time before we order again.
Love the place for its food and the friendly atmosphere.
The best food all the time 10/10
No smorg
Lucky Star Restaurant has the best Chinese Food in Cranbrook. Their sweet and savoury wonton soup broth with scrumptious stuffed pork wontons and delicious broccoli and red pork slices is absolutely the best. They also have really great sweet and sour chicken balls and beef and broccoli! We always dine in or get take out or delivery from Lucky Star because they consistently give us great food.
Always super tasty, and ready really quickly. Definitely our go to for takeout. That salt and pepper tofu is.... Amazing.
My husband picked up a dinner for two. It was delicious. Our grand children came by and we shared some with them. They said it was the best Chinese food they had eaten in Cranbrook.
Cantonese chowmein is the best there
Not wheelchair accessible Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible. Food : 3/5 |
BBQ pork is a must order always.
They are not the best. They dont have very good spring rolls. The food was smaller portions in the 2 person meals then the single portion meals.
I can tell you that theLucky Star Restaurant has EXCELLENT dishes that will satisfy any taste! Enjoy!!!
Tables are sticky and not clean cutlery not clean glasses not clean very poor lighting and stinky building foods not great and prices are high i got home and I didn t feel good when I got home or when I was there eating the food but I made it look like I liked it I definitely will not be coming back Parking: Good parking Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible
The place is filthy and the silverware had chunks of food left on it...when I asked for clean utensils I was told they arent dirty just are old. The food all tasted funny and now 1/2 hour after eating I have a headache and feel nauseous....wont be returning
I would give 0 if I could. Chicken chow mean was supposed to have Chinese vegies. It was boiled noodles with 3 pcs of boiled chicken. No sauce flavor. Took the vegies from War won ton soup to put in the chow main. War won ton was supposed to be without veg thank goodness they got that wrong as well, at least I had something to put on my boiled noodles. When I called to let her know I was disappointed she hung up. Very rude. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Awful, food awful customer service.
Nice little restaurant just off to downtown drag good menu great selection service was very good. Food came out fairly quick and tasted really good. Have no complaints about this place. First time here I would come back.
The food was good, but the kitchen forgot about my allergy. Im allergic to bean sprouts, asked for no bean sprouts and chow mein came with bean sprouts. When the food came, and we mentioned the sprouts the waitress simply said I hope youre ok. Not cool!
Consistently delicious
Fresh cooked Chinese food
The house rice was fantastic as well as the house chow mein.Highly recommended place
First of all, the restaurant had events there then should not open as usual, the noisy amateur singing making me almost heart attack; secondly, the reception was very rude
Best Chinese in Cranbrook.
Have to say this was some of the worst Chinese foods I have ordered. The beef and broccoli was dry (no sauce). The chicken chow main was also very dry and completely flavourless. The lemon chicken however was really good. And what is with no fortune cookies with a meal?
I ate here about a year ago and the food and service was good, however this time not so much they charged an extra $4 to change honey garlic pork for dry garlic pork so they re charging $4 to take the sauce off?? Are dry garlic ribs were 99% fat and when I brought it up to the waitress they didn t care, the cups they gave us were covered in old lip marks and looked dirty.
Supper for one, the best Chinese in Cranbrook so far I have experienced. Clean and tidy with easy parking.
Whatever you guys did last night CONTINUE DOING IT. The best food Ive ever had from you!
Absolutely the worst inedible Chinese experience of my entire life.
Great food, fast service, and super friendly staff! Will be back
The food was all good and service was vey pleasant. We will be ordering from them again.
They have raised their prices through the roof for poor quality food. Ordered dinner for 4 for delivery, when the driver dropped it off the bill was $23 more than what the menu price was, and they charged for delivery even though it said free delivery. Called them to inquire and the owner told me that it is what it is, and because of gas prices they had to raise their prices. Be careful at what menu you actually find for them and then expect to pay alot more by the time they deliver it. High way robbery and very ignorant owner.
Covid Savy family business. Very willing to protect her clients and family.
The food I ordered was so so good
Best place in town for fresh Chinese food! And super fast too !
Delish wonton, food was fresh, great service.
Best chinese food in town.
Thought the food was bland and the ginger beef very tough.
Will not go next time. They charged us more money for just making the food spicy. Never heard this before. No restaurant does this type of thing if a customer wants spicy food. Extremely bad experience. This is the response to you comment. All the restaurant are experiencing same food cost and price for food but they do not charge extra $ for just making food spicy. How much we order and the number of people we eat should not bother you. I didnt have a choice at that time so i have to say yes for extra dollar.
This is probably the best Canadian Chinese food I ve had in a while. I ordered the Combo B with Chow Mein, pork, beef and vegetables. The food wasn t soggy or too oily, the deep fried foods with crisp. It s not legitimate Chinese food nor does it try to be. This is made for a western customer base but I m pleasantly surprised. I m from a traditional Chinese family so take this review however you want.
Clean restaurant friendly courteous little bit of a language barrier.. I know this is petty but I always expect one free top up on my drink but for the most part good experience
This place was an amazing find! The noodles were fresh, thats hard to find these days. Portions were generous. We had wor wonton soup (the small was huge), deep fried squid (pictured), beef and broccoli (pictured)and the thick noodles. I had a combo dish with pork, chicken, egg noodles and beef and broccoli. It fed 3 adults and 1 eight year old, with left overs. We enjoyed everything we tried. The staff was friendly and courteous. Highly recommend !!
That food was great with large servings. The waitress was amazing. She attentive and very Profesional. Thank you very much for the excellent service.
My boyfriend is Chinese and says this is the stuff we would get back in Toronto and Vancouver. Can t believe that Cranbrook has this wonderful gem!!! The Cantonese Chow Mein is crispy on the bottom and the stir fry was fresh and flavourful! Highly recommend this restaurant! Owner is so lovely as well!
Someone said it was the only good Chinese food place and they are so right. It is definitely the best and I absolutely loved it. Well priced and great wait staff. Portions were huge!
I have to agree with another review here!! two thumbs up to that sweet lady on the phone she is absolutely the most wonderful person I have ever had the pleasure to order from!!
Consistently good take out food.
Great food.
I always have a great experience here. The egg rolls and spicy wontons are probably the best I ve ever had.
Wonderful food and great service and staff! Glad we came!
The Honey Peach Chicken was terrible. When I told the owner that it wasnt edible she said to bad you ordered it. Very poor customer service and very mediocre food. Definitely dont recommend this restaurant.
Great Food
Their chow mein is so good, cooked/made perfect. And the rest is really good as well.
Ordering from here wasnt difficult, very friendly. Comparing to other Chinese restaurants in my town for food quality and quantity, very poor. I ordered the A and B combos and it didnt even fill my 14yr old, my 11yr old and myself! I get maybe it should have been 3 combos but two should have been sufficient for the price knowing the age of my kids. The quality of the food was no where near what I would expect for a good restaurant I will never go to this establishment again! I ordered my food to be delivered in an hour and recieved it 30 minutes when I asked why it was so early i was told they were not that busy... But I asked for it in an hour! Very disappointing!
We tried Lucky Star for the first time tonight. It came fast, it was hot and it was delicious. We ordered the chicken balls, kung pow chicken, honey garlic pork and bbq pork chow mein. Everything was excellent. Decent portion sizes too.
Good food
Excellent wor Wonton soup
Lucky Star you guys are the best. We order a certain dish and you were out but went out and got what you needed to make our order! Thank you so much! Your food is the best...always fresh...thank you
Good food nice staff, when I ordered the sweet and sour chicken balls they were missing the sweet and sour sauce... kinda disappointing.
Great customer service
New Owners I think, I was impressed, huge portions delicious ginger beef, sweet and sour pork and black bean broccoli.
Good food and good service
Great food, fresh, tasty and authentic. Affordable and big portions
Wor Wonton was great! Big portions too.
Basically the only place to get good Chinese
Just ordered from here - Really disappointed. In town for an early morning medical procedure. Daughter and I craving Chinese food. Gluey chicken balls, passable ginger beef, tough to mess up steamed rice - no soya sauce. Egg rolls? If you say so. The garbage is well fed. Gaaak.....
LEGEN wait for it.. DARY.. must try best chinese food in cranbrook.
Awesome sweet nd sour pork. Nd Nyc staff.
Really great value on spend
was pleasantly surprised about different owners. She was able to make my Mongolian beef, Not on the menu, hit the spot
Tried for first time. Good for some. But wasnt for me
i visited this restaurant today and the staff welcomed me with a smiling face . they made my food very tasty . it was very delicious and temprature of the food was perfect. Overall , the restaurant was clean and everything was very nice in the restaurant. i would definitely vist this restaurant again in the future. it was the best restaurant that i have visited in my life. The best chinese food in the town .
We ordered close to $100 of takeout last night and extremely disappointed. The food was tasteless and greasy. The ginger beef was so dry we couldnt eat it. In the past we were happy with their food but we wont be going back again.
Delicious food. Everyone should try
Good food and welcoming staff. Excellent service!
Slim pickings for Chinese food in Cranbrook right now with other places closing and burning down. We ordered for take out, food took longer than they said but it was worth it. We got 6 different dishes, and we enjoyed it all. Not the best Chinese food I have eaten but I will eat there again.
Very good small town Canadianised Chinese food. Huge portions, 3 plates would feed 4 regular eaters. We had the special fried rice, lots of chicken and shrimp, beef with mixed veg and Kung Pow chicken, a little spicy with lots of flavour. Excellent service and that old time Chinese restaurant vibe. Would definitely stop here again on our way through. Cranbrook is one of our favourite overnight spots as it has lots of great restaurants and the wonderful Elizabeth Lake Lodge.
My mom and I were looking for Chinese food and this restaurant was off the beaten path with no vehicles outside. We were questioning going in but decided it was worth a try. Glad we did!! Fresh and delicious food! They have make your own combos so you get to decide what you want without any hassle. Friendly staff and turned out that people were continuously coming in and out for take out, so it is a popular joint and rightfully so!
Fantastic server, she rocked! Food was mediocre.
i went here a year ago and asked them if they could make me congee. it was a very slow time of day, the family was so nice they told me if i called ahead i could order it. the best authentic chinese food in the valley. (im not sure if they still do that though)
Good Chinese food.
I enjoyed the food. Good for take out.
Excellent Chinese restaurant. Friendly people that will even cook something off the menu if requested. Highly recommended!
New to town from the lower mainland and have eaten Chinese style food at many locations. Everyone has different opinions and in my humble one, this is some of the best Ive eaten. The call in was nice, lady was super friendly and we chatted house prices, etc. Delivery was fast, food was hot. The food was all very fresh and the seasoning perfect, just enough so you could still taste the actual food. Ive eaten in Vancouvers Chinatown alot and enjoy a more authentic flavor and it was totally there. Huge portions too. This will be my go-to for sure. Thanks Lucky Star! Alana
Food is wonderful and hot!
best place the eat now ...new owners have done that place justice...cheap all you can eat buffet worth every penny
Warm Friendly staff, delicious food and great prices. What more could you ask for.
Very good wish they had egg fu yung
Just started going here after new owners took over, very fresh and tasty food. They are Open more then other places in town which is nice The service is excellent with a polite and happy vibe. I recommend the Wor Won-ton Soup
Was good
Rachel and the food was amazing.
Amazing food!
Food is great with new owner
honestly not the best. the ginger beef i had, had bones or something crunchy in it, the noodles were over cooked and the server we had was very rude. dont think im gonna be going back here
Placed order just after they opened, so I wouldn t have expected my food to have been this bad. We got it home and the ginger beef was very over cooked and almost hard, the dry ribs were burnt on the ends and the noodles were so over done that it was like eating mush. When we called the restaurant back to tell them, the person who answered could only say and what would you like me to do about it? Ummm we just wanted to let you know so you could let the kitchen know. We weren t looking for anything in return except to provide feed back. Normally we like to give second chances to places but I m so very turned off with the food and service I doubt a second will happen. Save your money because it s not worth what they are charging.
Ordered take out from a very polite lady at the restaurant and it was delivered in under 30 minutes. The food was hot, well packaged, fresh, portion sizes were huge, didnt cost us a fortune and was also really good. We quite enjoyed it! Would definitely order take out from them again the next time we are in town.
Absolutely love it! Really fresh, huge portions, and great service. Theyre even open on Mondays for lunch!!!!
Support these guys. They are great.
It was dry and disgusting and gave me a horrible stomach ache
Always a good experience. Fast and friendly service. Good food. Grab a Tsingtao while you wait for your to go order, and it will be ready by the time you finish it.
No sit down just takeout
Cozy little place to have lunch. Food was good and service was friendly
Made a order refused to deliver wasnt over 48 dollars
A challenge to access as a quadriplegic, but certainly worth the effort! Extremely high quality food, very attentive and helpful staff, and huge portions! A wonderful example of how a family run restaurant can provide the best!
Best american-chineese food in town hands down, however extremely over priced. Id love to see them adopt a more competitive buisness practice instead of gouging their customers.
It was good service was good food was good!
Friendly
The worst food I ever had
Nice buffet
Best Chinese food Ive ever had. The people are very friendly, and more than happy to help. Prices are fair, looking at the amount of food you get. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves Chinese food!
Great value! Good food!
Soooo goooood....
Great food. Awesome buffet. Reasonable prices. Small but clean. Very nice people
Updated review 2020: the new owners are nice and have an even better selection in the buffet. Good quality food. And, they actually have authentic Chinese special dishes that aren t on the menu- including BBQ duck! Original review 2019: enjoy the food - especially because they dont add MSG. Thats a huge plus! Its a real family business, nice people.
Very dissatisfied, the food was bland and tasteless, the service was slow and the price tag on the buffet was deffiently wayyyyy to high I would not recommend this place, sorry
Good customer service
Ok..but cud improve service
Great food
This place is pretty good, its tasty food prepared fresh. Decent lunchtime buffet, and they start putting things on quickly when customers come in.
Friendly service. Good food. No msg
Very clean and staff was friendly. I ordered chicken fried rice and it was very good! Had leftovers for lunch next day. Prices are fair. Didn t care for buffet but it wasn t busy the day we were there. I found too much deep fried. Fresh veggies were great! I will definitely be going back for more of the menu items.
This is my go-to spot for Chinese takeout in Cranbrook pretty friendly and decent priced.
Terrible Chinese food worst we have ever had!
Horrible experience. Buffet food was old and was charged 8 dollars for about a half cup of rice.....
More expensive but better food
I got delivery. The dinner for one combo C was enough for three people. The food was good. I d eat here again.
I came to this town on a business trip and found an excellent Chinese restaurant: Lucky Star! Today I ordered half a roast duck, Sichuan beef, signature vegetables, and Thai fried rice. The ingredients are fresh, the taste is authentic, and it s a great appetizer! Surprisingly, the quantity is huge! The service is also very satisfactory! Don t miss it when you come to Cranbrook, BC.
Best Chicken Broccoli I have ever had. Vegetables were tender crisp not over cooked, great flavor and generous portions. Staff were very friendly and pleasant, I would recommend to everyone.
Great service always smiling and happy to help out! Food is great
Always fresh and a great variety of food choices
Great please to have a smorgasbord of Chinese food!
Good food. Decent selection if you go at the right time. Super friendly service.
Im not even sure that my food was edible. The rice was hard and the pork was a weird grey colour with a jelly-esque texture. I had a good experience here when I was going to Baker, almost 5 years ago. But now the only thing the Lucky Star has going for it is the nice Chinese lady that barely spoke enough English to take my order.
I never eat from the buffets anymore due to the same prepackaged fare that every other Chinese place stocks up on (usually from the same truck) so I order only the items that arent deep fried. YOU WILL LOVE THEM. They are really good, especially if you order take out as they really make sure you get the value for your dollar. Very fresh veggies, wonderful spicy dishes and the noodles are great. Its cheaper to pick your own take out up since they use a courier service for delivery at $7/ order and it has to be over $40 before theyll get the delivery service. Again, dont order things like chicken balls or other deep fried stuff as it is all from packages and tastes the same as everywhere else. People are terrific, friendly and accommodating.
A lucky thing my woman took me here while we were out. The gem of a restaurant has surprised me in the best kind of way. First of all the service is amazing. I personally felt very welcomed and the staff genuinely appeared to want us there (which can be harder to find these days). The food was beyond my expectations, fresh and very flavorful. The flavors indeed tasted like the food was actually prepared and not just poured out of a jar. Most importantly to me, the food did not taste the same as most Chinese food restaurants, the ginger beef for instance actually tasted like it was made with fresh ginger. The meat was not full of grit or fat, and in my opinion, the ingredients were of superior quality. The price was more then reasonable, especially with the quality of food and service. The decoration was also quaint and the overall experience was a very enjoyable one. I will return to what I consider hands down the best Asian cuisine in Cranbrook.
Great food and service But buffet was understocked even though we had s table reserved for 8
I enjoy the food
Pricey but great food
Very friendly customer service food is made fast 15 minutes to get two combos made very quiet place if you want privacy you get a lot of food for the little amount you pay
good quality of food and wide choice
So great. Friendly.
Ok. Nice people.
We were arriving at the place after eight oclock and it would close at half past eight. They still let us in and let us order the food. The waitress, Aiko, was still very polite and friendly. The food was really good as well. Great Chinese food!
$45 for two adults and one child with drinks and the buffet was never full of food so your choices were limited to 4 items with the rest being empty. Not equipped for even a moderately busy night to cook enough food. Better order off the menu so u can get something u want to eat.
Outstanding. Staff is so friendly, it always feels like eating at home.
Super friendly staff, awesome service, and delicious Chinese food!
We went between 4:30 - 5, which is a great time because the food was fresh. Found it very good and the staff very friendly.
