First time at this restaurant and will go back. The food was fresh, tasty and good portion sizes. The service was excellent with friendly staff. There was a bit too much for us to eat so the staff put into a takeaway pots. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I booked for 15 people at Kypseli on the 6th of August for after our wedding ceremony. The team were very friendly and catered for everything we needed. The value of the food to what you get was amazing. The Yeeros were humongous and very very delicious. The chef ensured we were all satisfied and we couldn t have asked for better service. We will definitely be revisiting again!

We had a wonderful evening Tue celebrating a special occasion which Kypseli made even more special. Berta was attentive and lovely as was the other kind waitress. Yannis came out of the kitchen to meet us and was charming as for his food the Best will be back here very soon. Absolutely delicious,we all absolutely loved it and something different for a change. Recommend to anyone, definitely 5 star. Well done Kypseli xx August 2023 we had the most amazing evening again at Kypseli for my Daughters Birthday. We sat outside on the terrace, it was so lovely. It felt just like we were in Greece! Little lights round the ceiling, lovely heaters after the sun went down and we picked the hottest day of the year so felt like a warm Greek evening. Berta was brilliant, running up and down stairs, attending to our every need, nothing was too much trouble. We had lovely Ouzo cocktails and it felt very authentic with the lovely pictures on the walls of beautiful scenery in Greece. When we arrived, they had even put a helium balloon on the table, free of charge, it was a really nice gesture and made us feel very spoilt. I had the slow cooked pork to start which literally fell apart, so delicious. The Chicken Souvalaki was out of this world. I cannot recommend this Restaurant enough .the food and service is second to none. I will be returning in a couple of weeks for my Wedding Anniversary and I cannot wait! I was so blown away, I had to call this morning to Thank them. Keep up the good work you are amazing!!! Xx

We are regular customers at Kypseli last Saturday we came with friends at lunchtime there were five of us at one o clock . On your specials you had souvlaki which three of us ordered . On my way to visiting the ladies I heard the chef say they can t have them there s 3 left and I m keeping for tonight . I literally was shocked , I repeated to the waitress who said I m very sorry can I get you something else on the menu . Once you have chosen your food you really do not want something different Previously on a Sat again I bought friends and you had run out of chicken gyros another day we didn t eat and only had coffee .After saying I would complain about the chef to the manager , we were then offered the chicken souvlaki but after having a coffee it was too late. We have really enjoyed food here it s always been good , but on this occasion I think it was totally out of order . I don t know how money can be made if your food isn t sold You have some very good staff who are always very friendly and helpful .

Its great value for money. Cheaper and tastier than some of the pubs that serve evening meals. Tables are a little too close for comfort. We would definitively go back but not for a while. Its hard to define but something is missing.

Was really looking forward to trying this restaurant but sadly was very disappointed with the very limited menu. Whilst our waitress was extremely polite, pleasant and friendly she unfortunately didnt attend our table once she had cleared away our plates. Wed ask for a dessert pr coffee but she never came back so we decided to not ask again just the menu, paid and left. Would not return Im afraid

We visited about 3 months ago and my husband posted how much we enjoyed Kypseli on that occasion. Tonight was just as good and the special (thanks to Chef Jason) was superb. Visit in the evening - it s a nice atmosphere. Food : 5/5

Amazing Greek food!

Went for evening meal. Staff were so friendly, helpful and informative. Food and atmosphere were excellent. 3rd time I have been here and I can assure you there will be a 4th and many more. I recommend everyone who reads this review try Kypseli Greek Taverna out, as we all need to support what is good in our area, so we do not loose it in the future.

So I m from Cranbrook and until last month I had not tried this amazing restaurant this is a hidden gem and so Reasonable priced we are now regular s and child friendly pizza from £5 home made to how u like them Wheelchair accessibility: Large door with easy seating

Beautiful place, great attentive and funny service and brilliant proper greek food.

I absolutely love this place and love taking my friends and family here. The food is incredible and the staff make it extra special as they are so nice! I especially love their mixed meat wrap, served on the lunchtime menu and the desserts are so pretty and tasty. Would highly recommend this restaurant!! Vegetarian options: Im not a vegetarian but we order them as they are so yummy Kid-friendliness: Great with our children and patient if they get a little noisy at times. I think they have some toys for them to play with too! Wheelchair accessibility: Im not sure if the toilet is very accessible but you could certainly get to a table for a meal.

We went at lunch time. Staff were fantastic and the food amazing. You always have a favourite from the selection but honestly, the whole meal was wonderful. We had the pork stew, meat balls, courgette fritters, chips and some garlic and herb flat bread; absolutely stuffed. Would definitely recommend a visit if youre in the area.

Popped into this gorgeous little Greek restaurant today in Cranbrook for lunch. First class service and brilliantly authentic Greek cuisine. We just wandered in without booking (no problem) - but if youre super keen Id advise booking a table. We had a couple of hot mezes, a Greek salad and some pita bread. All absolutely lovely.

We ve visited a few times now & every time had a wonderful experience. The food is delicious & portions are generous! Staff are very friendly & helpful. Definitely worth a visit, we ll be coming back that s for sure.

What a fabulous find this Taverna is. We enjoyed superb Greek food served in a warm and friendly atmosphere by a very helpful and attentive waiter. The food was hot and beautifully cooked, we chose a variety of Hot Meze dishes to share with Pitta bread and dips accompanied by a dish of Olives. We shall definitely recommend this delightful Taverna to family and friends.

Sublime food and absolutely INCREDIBLE atmosphere! You can see the care put into this restaurant, it is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places to be. The service here is so friendly and attentive that absolutely all generations of my family thoroughly enjoyed their experience.

I regularly have coffee, lunch, or dinner at Kypseli. The coffee is the best. Whether I have meatballs and rice, pizza, wraps, plates, pitta bread and hummus the food is delicious and filling. If you need to have a doggy bag to take home the staff are very happy to do this for you. They have wonderful cakes pastries and baklavas, plus the most delicious, creamy ice cream. There is also a choice of wines and cocktails too. If you want a takeaway order that is also possible, but Friday evening probably isnt the best time, especially when the restaurant is full. You can chance your hand in case its manageable.

AMAZING !! I needed to arrange a buffet lunch (with various dietary requirements) for 30 people on a small budget. Danielle worked with her team to produce an amazing lunch which went down an absolute storm. A great selection of fresh bread, two types of soup, olives, hummous, tzatziki and feta served up by Danielle and her team. There were lots of very happy faces, and full bellies all round. A BIG thank you to Danielle and her team at Kypseli. Vegetarian options: Wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Dietary restrictions: Able to cater for a range of dietary requirements (Gluten Free + Vegan)

Thanks to Emma, Stuart and the team for a fabulous evening. We were treated to a wonderful range of delicious dishes and it was such a pleasant change to dine out on authentic Greek cuisine. We travelled from Maidstone last week as we heard this new restaurant was opening. The Taverna has been beautifully decorated and furnished with a lovely terrace area at the back. We tried a range of meze dishes to start followed with a moussaka for mains - all of which were authentic and delicious, washed down with Greek Beers and wines. The service was warm and welcoming and we will definitely be returning.

Such a great new addition to Cranbrook. My husband and I had such a lovely evening and the food was delicious. Super fresh and tasty, the feta dip and tzatziki were lovely, so was the feta and the moussaka. The outdoor seating area looked great and cant wait for better weather to be able to enjoy it. The service was so friendly and lovely ambiance too. We shall definitely be back.

Beautifully authentic, intimate and beautifully curated taverna with the most gorgeous decking area out back complete with pots of herbs and gorgeous ceramics and lighting. Simply delicious Greek food - feta and pitta flown in from Athens! Wonderful Greek wine - really was an education. Lovely welcoming staff. The only thing missing was the blue sky and bluest sea. I was lucky enough to visit Kypseli last week, what a lovely but dangerous spot! I can t believe the transformation, it s beautiful. The food was authentic, tasty and delicious, the wine very easy to drink and the staff so friendly and attentive. Like a little slither of Greece on our doorstep. Can t wait to try out the back garden when it s slightly warmer. Congratulations Emma and Stuart for a job very well done. See you very soon.

Brilliant new addition to Cranbrook. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere and lovely food. Personally would like to see more seafood on the menu but its early days and Im sure things will evolve with time. I think itll be a really popular High Street venue - get your bookings in now!

I hate to do this but a few days ago I bought some takeaway things and after eating half a pot of olives, realized they were completely covered with mould. It has really put me off fresh foods the last few days and I expected better from an high end looking place like this. The waitress was very friendly but we felt we were left alone quite a while. I hope this was just a temporary thing as it looks like a nice place

We love this place! Originally came in to get some olives (delicious!) came back for lunch (I could ve sat there all day sampling the dishes which are so flavoursome and fresh), went back today to buy some olive oil which I can confirm is divine, such better value than buying from a supermarket and on another level of taste! We can t wait to come back for dinner, really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and just a great addition to Cranbrook :)

We booked for the second sitting, weve been trying to get a table for ages but theyre sooo busy. We ate authentic pork and orange sausage, homemade by Emma this morning. Then some skin on fries which come with tzaziki dip and then pork gyros for both of us. They were authentic, juicy, delicious and filling!! The ambiance is fun warm and welcoming, decor fab, including the beautiful old Greek floor tiles miraculously uncovered during the renovations! The attention to detail is brilliant and quite frankly, I cant wait to return and take our boys there next time!!!

Ive been to Kypseli a few times now and always have a great time! The coffee is amazing and the breakfast has a good gluten free option. The evening food is so good and the cocktails are delicious :-) highly recommend, it has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are really friendly!

Lovely place. We did wait 25 mins before a drinks order was taken...and being told you have the table for 2 hours youd have thought drinks would have been more prompt. However, fantastic food was had

Just want to say a huge thanks to Kypseli for a fabulous night to celebrate finishing uni exams. This morning Im actually munching the last of my wonderful chicken yeeros as I write and the food was brilliant. The meatballs and sausage from the hot meze were perfect with the hot pitta. Fab Passoa sunset cocktails and the lovely waitresses so friendly and smiling made it such a special night. Absolutely loved it. Thanks again!

Really wanted to like this place more . On arrival the waitress seemed surprised to see us despite having booked and being the first customers of the evening. Our table had not been cleaned or set and this was done around us once we had been sat down - something i cant stand . There were dirty napkins on the floor which stayed there for the duration of our stay . The service was very slow . Pleasant enough but waited 15mins for a drink to arrive in an empty restaurant . We sat out on the terrace which should be really nice but lacks atmosphere , theres no music and we had to listen to what sounded like arguing from the chef and the waitress all evening and the place feels half finished , with empty boxes and crates dumped on a table which doesnt lend itself at all to the space theyve created . The food was nice but it was cold and the portion of chips was very small and the same goes for the tzatziki. I was also disappointed with the pesto on the pizza , it didnt taste freshly made and wasnt the best . we were very hungry and tired and had our children with us and needed to get them home so didnt dare send it back to be reheated given how long things seemed to be taking. Even the water we asked for didnt arrived for the duration of the meal and we went home for ice cream cause we had just had enough . The place had potential but My visit has left me underwhelmed and unlikely to return. Edit - originally gave this a generous 3 stars but down to one star as my partner has been violently ill after eating here .

Went for an after works do and ordered 4 of the hot meze dishes for two of us - Courgette and Feta, Beans (gigantes spanaki - utterly delicious), meatballs (keftethes me salts - blew me away) and sausage (horiatiki loukaniko). We were very full at the end, enjoyed the evening very much, friendly staff, had a great time. June 2022.

The staff were lovely very attentive, the food was excellent both my son and I really enjoyed the whole experience and the outside terrace was really nice.

I had a wonderful birthday celebration at Kypseli. Emma and Stuart were so attentive and made a huge effort to make it a wonderful and memorable occasion. I highly recommend the Greek Mimosa and the mezze were all so delicious.

I happened to meet the owner while I was using The Hive hot-desking space just up the road from Kypseli, and she told me about the origins of the restaurant and the yeeros, which sounded delicious, so I ordered one and said I would come and collect it. Years and years ago I went to Cyprus and ate souvlakis there and I ve never had anything that even touched them by comparison in the UK. Until now that is. The chicken yeeros I ordered was absolutely amazing, and I m not over-stating it. I am quite a foodie and am no stranger to a fancy London restaurant. Let me tell you, this was authentic, filling, flavoursome and perfectly cooked. The tzatziki alone was worth the money! I loved it and if I lived in Cranbrook I d be back to this place as regularly as my income would allow. The restaurant itself is also very well appointed and the staff are lovely. Excellent.

We ate outside in the courtyard at the back on Monday night .What a wonderful setting .The food as always was delicious and lots of vegan options as well. Cant wait to go back!
