Unpretentious rooms come with free hot breakfast at low-rise spot with indoor pool & meeting rooms.
This was a pretty good budget hotel, the cheapest on my trip; but the value is pretty good. Can’t be all 5 star luxury resorts, my wallet thanked me. Breakfast was included so bonus points.
We were very happy with our stay. Clean, comfortable and quiet. The amenities were a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the lounge, the complementary free breakfast. And a good value.
The room was clean and comfortable. TV, A/C, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The attention in the front desk was ok, not excellent. The breakfast was good but same every day (pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns). It is an old building so everything looks like it's from 80s. The carpet in the entrance/front desk smells not so good.
One night mid-week. Price was right, walked to Denny's. Our room faced the back so no traffic noise. Buffet style hot breakfast was great. Only draws - no freezer in rm fridge and no elevator to our room.
I want to start by saying that the staff were friendly and the beds were surprisingly comfortable for where we were. But... - The TV didn't work - The coffee maker, lamps, and other devices needed to be plugged in by fishing cables behind the fridge. - Despite being a 2 bed room, there was only enough coffee for one cup. - The bath had long hair in it. - The carpet in the hallway was lifting/lifted from the floor. - 930PM was when the cleaners were vacuuming the hallway. - The hottub had a minimum occupancy of 6 people as there was not enough water to cover the Jets even with a group of 4 in there. - And the most 1st world complaint, but still a complaint, the complimentary breakfast was out of syrup. But, honestly, I only list that because there is a list to add it to.
We had dinner here. They charged $3.50 for Bleu cheese dressing. Never been charged for dressing before. The bacon wrapped meatloaf may have been ok but it was covered with what was supposed to be caramelized onions, but they were burnt so hard to tell. The server was nice and had a nice smile, but I'll drive by this place next time.
You really do get what you pay for I guess? The room itself wasn't anything special, standard old inn room, but at least it was very clean. However with this hotel being literally on highway 93, the noise was a lot at times. The air conditioning also had a terrible hum that kept us from using it at night, meaning the room was very warm. Our room was at the end of the hall beside the janitors closet, and the vacuum was often right in front of our door. Older TV’s, no options for streaming or anything. The bed was fine, the pillows were quite uncomfortable. When we booked on Expedia it was also advertised a continental breakfast, but when we arrived we got two breakfast coupons (1breakfast total) for our three night stay. The breakfast wasn’t special though, next to no options, the pancakes were dry and their only beverages offered at the station were coffee and grape juice. Also advertised a pool and hot tub, but couldn’t find signage pointing towards a pool. In the end it was a place to crash for the night, and it wasn’t very expensive which was nice. But I would’ve rather spent a few extra dollars to have a better stay elsewhere, will not be back.
We booked 4 nights for a family of 4 and 2 dogs. I was a local to the town and this hotel used to be a great place to eat and stay. Not anymore!!! We booked mostly because it was reasonable price and had a nice pool. The place was not what we expected. We had to switch rooms after the first night because of issues with the bathroom only to get more issues with the new bathroom. There was hair all caught in the tub drain. The corners in the bathroom were rotted away and black with hair along the edge of the tub. The pool and hot tub were cloudy and murky, when we informed them they didn’t seem concerned. Our room was cleaned only once after I personally requested it; except only one bed was made, no garbages were emptied, the floor wasn’t swept and we were only provided with one clean towel and wash cloth. We asked for some kind of reimbursement given the experience we had and they offered one night of dog fees, but they really truly didn’t seem to care which is what pushed us to leave early. We were given a refund for that night which I appreciate them doing for us. But all in all, we will not stay here again. I was very disappointed.
Great Sunday buffet.
It was ok .. no elevator and the rooms were dated but clean
Outdated with carpet coming up around stairs. Hottub was not functioning, and pool area had no towels. No signage to indicate there was an issue. Would be cheaper to stay at motel 6 instead
This place has really gone down hill. There was once a great Sunday brunch and now even the lounge hours are questionable. The front end staff didnt even acknowledge we were there until I interrupted her busy time texting on her cell phone.
Quilt Conference
Was very clean, its dated so dont expect a fancy 5 star hotel! For the price compared to everything else in town , this place a steal. Great for a quick nights sleep on your travels ! Rooms: Like I said, they clean, bed was super comfy, no bugs or critters lol older furniture for sure but clean is the main thing for me!
I was only there to pre-vote I didnt stay there but I was impressed with how clean the lobby was and the staff seemed friendly and were smiling. Also the convention room for the free voting was very clean and well laid out and I took a peek inside of the cafe and people looked like they were enjoying themselves
Open 7 days a week at 7:00 am till 1:00 p.m. restaurant hours things are looking up
Everything is nice and clean . The staff are very helpful.. plenty of restaurants nearby. Rooms
The breakfast was pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, and cube hash They had decaf and regular coffee Cereal but you had to ask for milk The room was nothing special but was nice The only bad part was someone flushed a toilet in the building and the shower got scolding hot
Great front staff
Came to this hotel because we have someone in the ICU at the hospital First night I found someone elses panties in our room beside the bed. when I complaint about it and our room not being cleaned it took 3 days and we had to bring them down to the front desk and take our own garbage etc out, on day 4 they finally half fast cleaned our room. Asked to speak with the manager multiple times and left a number to reach us if we were in the hospital. Never called or spoke with us. Wouldnt even give a discount. We finally had enough and checked out after 6 days, pool was very murky and gross never recieved our breakfast coupons even though it was very poorly cooked. The hotel also has alot of water damage and smells terrible. Vending machine, 1 ice maker and ATM is broken We rented 3 rooms and the complains were the same for other members of my family. Please avoid this hotel!!! Its in sanitary, have horrible costumer service, and very over priced!! I have seen your reply, their was 1 day the member was in the hotel and she had left and informed the front desk our room could be cleaned. It is not a valid excuse!! We should have received a discount of some sort and had things properly communicated as it was a week and we tried to speak to the manager many times! We will not be back and I hope no body comes to this hotel I will be telling family and friends to avoid this hotel at all costs. Id also like to add that your lounge female waitress couldnt even make a Caesar properly and my sil recieved bed bug bites from room 233! Very upset!
Noise at night for heavy traffic at the main road. Access to the pool is not friendly . Customer service at the front desk not kind. Rooms : 4/5
Love this hotel foe the pool and hot tub room in the basement. Cedar walls, no echos and pretty quiet.
The hotel and rooms are clean and the food is really delicious. The bed was super comfortable.
Breakfast and service is really good, but the air conditioner in the room sounds like an airplane engine. It was hard to sleep with it on but too hot if its off.
3rd party booking cancelled our room, when I was trying to confirm my next stop for Medicine Hat. The kind lady on the desk rebooked our room. Then there was a leak from room above..down from us. There was a misunderstanding that it wasnt below us. But somehow approved us for 2 orders of free Chicken Wings. We felt bad, as the leak in no way effected us, and we told them, but they insisted. So, who are we to argue. Well, we struggled to eat even a few wings as they had a definite fishy smell & burnt! DISGUSTING is a better word. We also ordered a basket of Fries, and they were OK. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Would not recommend the Wings to my worst enemy!
Good customer service and decent room with compliment breakfast.
Room was clean. Pool was a miss. Service was great. Food was very good. Had a blast. Will be back.
wonderful people
Its a little old but its clean and has everything you need.
The service in the restaurant was horrible were there for 1:48 with no food only came to ask for drinks ones and there was only 10 people in the hole place and I seen 3 working ended up leaving before came they keep saying it s almost done will never go back
Amazing location. Food is great, staff is amazing. Would definitely recommend to everyone!
Amazing food that leaves you stuffed and happy, super friendly staff, not to mention the vibe is so chill and good to be around. The head chef Will is such a good dude
Me and my husband went here for dinner in their lounge and it was delicious, the menu was very well priced compared to other restaurants in town and the food is much better. The beer was alright and the atmosphere was positive and friendly, server kept checking to make sure we were good and the chef even came into the dining room and answer any questions we had for him. A little dated but still cute and they had a huge screen with the hockey games on so my husband loved that and he even tried their challenge burger and he enjoyed it a lot, 100% would and will be going again. Me and my husband are planning on going back next date night
I booked in at 10am for the Mothers Day brunch, as did many others. While we were waiting we were informed that brunch didnt start until 10:30am. Which baffled everyone that was there.....because why advertise that it starts at 10am and book reservations? We were seated in the main dining room and they locked off the lounge where everything was being set up. They started serving water and we ordered milk and orange juice. Milk came, told 5 minutes for juice. They started handing out punch but even that was a bit of a hit and miss. My girls had 3 drinks at this point and I talked to 4 different people about my juice and they all checked on it and I finally got an answerwhen our meal was done that it would cost more. Poorly managed, no labels on anything in the buffet (lawsuit waiting to happen for people with allergies and special dietary needs), waited over 30 minutes passed our original 10am reservation to eat, never order orange juice because youll never get it, and I had to ask for flowers which they so freely passed out to others, no apology or anything to make up for the huge mishap about their ridiculous management and an elderly gentleman that was paying before me was asking about what happened to the seniors discount and they shrugged him off saying they have never done that for special events meanwhile for the past events they did. Heritage: I appreciate your reply to my rating. Here is a breakdown of why I gave the score I did: - the room was clean, but small and old and did have a musty/old cigarette smell that may have been coming more from the hallway than the room itself. - The Pool and pool room were old and dilapidated. The pool was underground so the lack of windows is understandable, but the lighting is terrible. Something really needs to be done to brighten up the pool room. It is murky and very uninviting as it stands. - The breakfast buffet room was clean, but again looks like it could use an update to brighten it up and make it more inviting. Same goes for the Rotary Dining room that was used for Sunday/Mothers Day. The food and coffee served was bland and mediocre, but given it was included I cant complain too much. - The staff were all polite and helpful from what I saw. Plate clearing and coffee service was good. Everyone seemed to take the inundation of kids and families in for a lacrosse tournament in stride. No issues to report there. - It is a hotel on the Cranbrook main strip. There are no trees or flowers or anything out front to make the location more inviting. It is all concrete and asphalt and that is it. It does not stand out from any other hotel on the strip because of this. It just looks like a bland, uninviting hotel on the outside. Rooms: Serviceable and clean but still a bit old and dingy. Walkability: Location from the mall and downtown Cranbrook is good. Pretty much everything you would want to get to in the town is within a 15 minute walk. Food and drinks: Bland breakfast food that could use a bit more seasoning and TLC in its preparation. Very bland coffee that tastes like it came from old/unwashed coffee urns.
Very friendly staff. Helped take my luggage to my room. Offered advise on menu specials Rooms
Rooms are not up to normal standards. The lounge doesnt operate smoothly at all.
Absolutely Amazing management and front desk staff. Kind housekeeping staff & lovely wait staff at the restaurants. Rooms are good for the price. Good location. Staff made our stay great. Easy walking distance to everywhere. Quiet hotel , kid friendly
Ate at the pub....meals a bit on the small size but delicious
Kind of a dive but good rates, safe.
Rooms: Clean. Beds are old but comfortable. Carpets are worn. Food and drinks: Excellent breakfast. Good service. We would stay there again. Rooms : 4/5 | Service
This review is for the Restaurant only. We went there on Saturday morning, got there a little late for breakfast but decided to stay because the lunch menu looked great. Our server was friendly, and a bit awkward because i was her first day. She did well, and checked on us multiple times. We got our food after quite a long wait which seemed odd because there were no other customers in the restaurant at all. When our food came it was not good. My Monte Cristo sandwich was dripping oil, and completely soggy. I couldnt even eat 1/2 of it. My fiances Patty Melt was also terrible, and she couldnt eat it. She also did not get the poutine she ordered, just plain fries. She asked for gravy and cheese curds and the waitress apologized and went to get them, she came back 20 minutes later with a large bowl of gravy that had melted cheese mixed in to it. She apologized and said that the cook did not understand what she wanted and she didnt know what to do. It had the texture of slime, and did not taste like gravy at all. Our original server never came back until a new lady brought us our bill. We told her that the service had been fine, but the food was awful. The new server said Its my last day Thursday so i will be honest, I hear that a lot.. We just paid and left after that.
I just had a wonderful dinner with my daughter. We had the luxury of meeting the new manager. The service was on point and the food was excellent. Cranbrook, do not forget about this place. We will be back! Cheers
Sink had 2 chips in the porcelain, the size of quarters. Dogs barking in the hotel at 3am. Food was really good and the waitresses were awesome. Horrible coffee
Didnt have what we reserved via PHONE Upgrades us with no discount. Room was not equipped with toiletries. Light bulbs were missing and the tab leaked from the knob. The room is on a lower level and the curtains dont cover so getting changed in a bedroom at night was not an option. Heat took a very long time to start and they had no extra blankets. They had no extra towels and we used pool towels. The pool and hot tub were dark and musty and the hot tub was broken. Overall is was a poor attempt to meet our very basic needs for a lot of money. We were very dissatisfied.
Great hotel. Very clean. Beds are pretty comfy. Not too loud considering its on a busy street. Breakfast at the restaurant was great.
Royal Canadian Legion Happy New Year Location
Comfortable warm room and good service
Ive stayed at this hotel many times in the past and the staff are great, the rooms are always clean and its one of the more affordable hotels in town! Rooms: Nothing fancy but you dont feel like you have bugs climbing all over you after you leave lol! Nearby activities: Plenty of places to go around , its located basically right in the middle of the strip so theres lots of things within walking distance and their restaurant has an amazing buffet with so much fresh food you can stuff your face all day long lol Safety: Its safe Walkability: Can walk to just about anything! Food and drinks: Great food and the prices are good too !
Thank you for my 2 week stay. Great parking for my bus. And quiet rooms. Rooms
The staff were very helpful and welcoming The hotel is maintained really well Rooms: Rooms were clean and the AC and tv worked The rooms bathroom shower pressure wasnt great because they use a weird shower head but other than that it was nice and the temperature was very responsive Safety: Very safe the deadbolt and key card are quite secure but the chain doesnt stay done up so dont use the chain on the door Walkability: There are lots of stores and places to eat within walking distance east side Marios is an amazing restaurant nearby with great staff and great food Food and drinks: The breakfast was decent their pancake were good but the eggs are not very edible and neither are the sausages but their potatoes more than make up for it they were made quite well and were absolutely delicious and well seasoned
Basic accomodation. Set back from the road so less train noise than other Cranbrook hotels. Room was clean. Adequate towels. Negatives: plastic cups ..yuck.. and very thin curtains that dont block the light. Positive : full restaurant breakfast included in price.
We visited the legion located on the basement of this hotel. There is no food service available but the bar staff was quick and attentive and the patrons were friendly and warm.
Had a great rest for few days and headed back for home Noteworthy details: I had great service there Rooms : 5/5 |
If I could give a 1/2 star I would we were here for medical reasons the front desk very unfriendly said we would get a hot breakfast the next day but lied and it was continental because the restaurant too busy but no one was in the restaurant .also while checking in at the front desk hearing there is a special for way cheaper price
Decent price, old room but clean with new sheets. Very loud air conditioner that woke us up every time it turned on. Breakfast included, eggs were from a box, only coffee and tea available.
Continental breakfast was delicious, service at the front desk was great. My friend recommended staying there is a pool and Jacuzzi as well as jungle themed rooms. We were happy with our stay traveling from Saskatchewan.
Staff offered a room upgrade for the same price which was great to start. After checking in and going for a shower some lady had a key to the room and walked in while I was naked and told me to get out. Horrible service I bought 2 nights will not be staying there to due anyone being allowed the enter my room? Completely unsatisfied and I would like a full refund as I wont even be using this hotel.
The continental breakfast is a start I m currently sitting in the dining area there is cereal thank god but no toast or anything and extra charge for juice, they should at least have bread you can toast my sister didn t want anything, and the showers in the room was gross there was hair from a previous guest in there and the service was pretty bad I would recommend somewhere else
Great place for the price. Older but well kept and clean. Good breakfast. No elevator as older buildings.
The AC is so Laud! Some of the ppl are nice They said, breakfast is free, and after you eat, they makes you pay. So, i do not recommend this place.
The staff were terrible, the breakfast was not what was advertised, the toilet did work I had to fix it the only thing positive was that it was easy to get to.
Always a good stay. Rooms are clean. Breakfast in restaurant is very good. Sometimes susceptible to noise from the highway but all the hotels in Cranbrook are.
We were very pleased with our stay. Great value for our dollar.
Older hotel but maintained well. Staff where friendly
Its a nice getaway in an older hotel. The pool and hot tub are taken care of well. Everything was very clean.
I have stayed here in the past and really enjoyed it, my daughter was stuck in Cranbrook tonight and I told her to stay here. When she arrived the person working was rude. My daughter let her know she was paying with debit but had my credit card to put on file, as most hotels require this incase of damages or if someone doesn t have a credit card they will hold a cash deposit until check out. The lady working refused I have never had a problem doing this anywhere ever. I always give my daughter my card incase of emergencies and tonight was one and she needed a room . But nope she was turned away and not politely my daughter read a sign on the wall there something to the effect of if you can t be nice GET OUT . Maybe some of your staff should read it and comply.
I always end up staying here if I need a room because they actually still have smoking rooms which nobody has anymore and I dont have a credit card so they let my parents use theirs to rent the room and as long as my room is good when I check out they wont charge my parents card and I just pay for the room with my cash and a decent 1 queen bed and a pull out couch smoking took is only $105 and that includes a yummy hot breakfast too so its a good price and the room is clean and almost feels like my second home. Only thing I dont like is the lady that works at night isnt very welcoming at first she is quite rude but then she warms up after I get the credit card thing sorted out which is a super quick simple form that she just emails to my parents and they send it back in minutes and its done so its pretty simple and quick which is good and as long as you can have someone use their credit card to help you secure the room and use that form or just have your own card its probably way easier but once thats all good she almost a new lady and is much nicer to me after she knows I can pay for my room but it would be nice if she wasnt so harsh to the ones who cant get the room or the form filled out cuz Cranbrook is a hard place to get a room if you dont have a credit card I think only 2-3 other hotels will rent a room to you if you pay a $200 deposit so its nice to sort of have the heritage as another option for the few of those left out in the cold sometimes.
Was going to stay here April 8th unfortunately when my boyfriend called the hotel asking if they accepted a cash deposit an employee Sean answered the phone bluntly said absolutely not and hung up on us. We then called again to ask how much the deposit would be on a credit card, we did get our answer but when we tried to proceed to ask about booking a room we were hung up on again. Would have loved to stay at this location but the customer service we experienced was unacceptable and had a much better stay at the Super 8 instead.
The building is a little dated and there is a funny smell. Bathroom and pool shower had mold but the staff was super kind and the overall experience was sub par. Comes with breakfast in the restaurant and access to hot tub pool and lounge.
An older hotel but my room was was clean, free of dust and had amenities. I leave very few reviews but the friendly staff on the night of my check in, 5/19/22 gave me more than enough reason to visit this place the next time I travel through Cranbrook.
Newly renovated rooms. Beds not new. Small army of tiny ants invaded the dogs food.
Ample parking and excellent staff
Nice place
Rooms were fine. Charged us more than advertised. Said only one room available. Food was horrible overcooked and not appealing at all. LEGION downstairs, had a few drinks and watched the hockey game.
I stayed here recently for work. The rooms were quite noisy and I could here practically everything it made it quite hard to sleep. On top of this the cleanliness of the room wasnt great there was dust on each of the bed frames and a slightly odd smell. They only seemed to clean the room once every 3 days if I was lucky. I had to keep going down to the lobby to ask for toilet paper, new towels and soap etc. I had to request to have my bed sheets changed multiple times and they acted as if it was an unreasonable request. Seems like an odd way to run a hotel . I know where I wont be staying in the future if I return to Cranbrook unless I have no choice.
Thank you for helping us during an emergency
Great stay. Clean and very quiet on the back of the building, oops except for the train at midnight and 2am, but it made us realize what a fantastic province we live in and how different products are moved around our magnificent province.
Id rather sleep in a ditch
Nice enough hotel.
Ive stayed here in the past but this visit was work related.
I tried to book here but, unfortunately I couldn t manage to take the attitude of the extremely rushed, rehearsed, and snarky desk lady this evening. I called another hotel and they were kind and let me speak. letting a customer speak goes a long way
Stayed here for 2 nights. Room is really old. I asked for hair conditioner and they didn t have any available, like couldn t they find an alternative or something. Not too many options for breakfast and is not tasty, my kids didn t have any options. And they don t clean rooms unless you re staying for 3 nights or more. I asked if they can empty our garbage, they said yes but when we came back after a long day our garbage are still full. Very disappointed.
Would have been better if the restaurant wasnt closed on the long weekend. The place was okay beds a little hard for my taste. I is a quite clean you get what you pay for kinda place
Email them about deposit, never got replies, it s funny that the management team doesn t care .
Gross place with lots of dirt hair etc very unmanaged Poor staff with bad attitudes would not recommend not the best environment :)
Hotel is too stuffy, from reception to bedrooms and washrooms.I love their Breakfast
Went golfing with a group of 12 people. The beds were comfortable and the executive room was perfect for our group! We will definitely go back to this hotel. Thanks for a great stay!
Rooms comfortable but a bit dated . Great for a overnight travelling and good breakfast in the morning . The servers were friendly and very efficient .
We stayed at the Heritage Inn Hotel on July 28, 2022. Our check in process was fairly quick but it was easy to notice that the lone person working at the desk was very unfriendly, she seemed over taxed as there was a line of guests asking for keys to the pool, extra towels, wifi passwords etc. Our room was on the second floor facing the highway, a bit noisy but what can you expect as the hotel is right on the highway. The room was clean but very dated. We were golfing at one of the local courses early the next morning so we were up at 6:30 to shower and get down to the free continental breakfast which was scheduled to open at 7:00am. We ran the hot water in the shower for a few minutes and realized there was no hot water so we had to clean up and get ready for the day with cold water. On our way to breakfast I approached the front desk to ask about the hot water and the girl said to me nobody else has complained I asked can you look into it and is there any chance we can get a reduced rate on our room, she said she will look into it. We waited until 7:25 for the breakfast room to open, not really a big deal except when you have to be somewhere else. After breakfast we went back to our room, still no hot water so we went to check out. I asked again if we can get a reduced rate and the girl replied no you cant get a reduced rate because we fixed the problem by lighting the pilot on the boiler before you checked out I told her we still dont have hot water and she relied it might take an hour or so to heat up. On our next trip to Cranbrook we will be staying at a different hotel.
Comfy bed, plain but nice room. Hot tub needs some work. Staff was friendly enough. Might stay here again.
Rude service . Got charged double the rates plus 250$ deposit. The rooms havent been updated since the 90s . At breakfast got harassed by the service. No juice or toast or cereal or milk just bad coffee and the usual boiled scrambled eggs pancakes tots and sausage. That was it!. Did I mention the rude service. Not worth it. Ive had better continental at other cheaper hotels. We only stayed cause we were tired of driving all day and all other hotels were booked cause of construction workers.
Very nice place to stay. We were quite happy with our room. The pool isnt fancy but clean and perfect for families. Room was a good size, beds were comfortable and it was quiet and clean. The room had a coffee maker and mini fridge.
It was more than I expected. Comfortable, modern rooms.
Side door leading to outside did not close each time I left the hotel. It was left ajar and I had to push it closed each time. My room was located at the very end of the hall, on the left side of the building, on the main floor. This was helpful as I had an elderly dog with me but this outside door needs to be fixed to ensure guests feel safe, and not like anyone from the outside street could come in. My server at the restaurant for free breakfast was wonderful, smiling and courteous, as was the male staff member who checked me out at 11am. Customer service from the female staff member on the evening I arrived was very poor. She had a miserable attitude and would not look me in the eye or engage with me when I tried to talk with her casually about the stay. She should not be in the customer service industry Rooms: Room was extremely clean and well made up. Plain and nothing fancy but the needed basics were all there. Quiet rooms and np noise above me or in the halls. Safety: Safety needs to be addressed regarding the side door at the end of the hallway on the left side of the hotel on the first floor. It does not close behind you as you leave and needs to be pushed all the way closed.
My car broke down and I was stranded in cranbrook for several days. Was unsure when I was leaving. The staff was very accommodating and friendly with the uncertainty of the day to day situation and I never felt rushed or hurried out. Although the rooms are a lil dated I cant say anything negative beyond that. Customer service was 100% and made all the difference in my situation. Thanks!
Good service
They do not enforce the Mandatory Mask law. Also mould in showers. Had to leave and go to a clean hotel.
Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet, modern and the beds very comfortable. Price is as expected for a hotel of this quality.
The hotel was empty yet they had to put people above us so got woken up at 4:00 in the morning as the people above needed to shower. Makes no sense in terms of guest satisfaction.
Rooms arent cleaned properly, drug addicts smoking crack in parking lot,not family friendly. To cheap to provide decent cable for TV. Dark and dismal lobby/hallways. This hotel needs a major face-lift or it will remain to be like a Hastings hotel, would not recommend this hotel.
Professional staff clean room
Its meh. But at least the doors locke thats a lot more than the pandemic hotels have!
Clean and quiet. Staff are friendly and professional. Affordable pricing. I recommend it.
Clean but dated , like any other heritage Inn Ive been to. Very close to downtown 5-10 minute walk.
Stuck in the hotel during shark week and the discovery Channel is not authorized.
friendly staff, really good breakfast but they seriously need to upgrade their rooms.
Its OK not terrible
Comfortable accommodations, with a warm greeting via phone call to our room to confirm everything was in order. Large parking lot and wide turning areas to allow for easy maneuvering. Conveniently located on the Crowsnest Pass Highway 3.
The only and biggest problem was the pool area. The hottub is old and dirty and pool had dead bugs etc floating inside. The employees were nice and helpful and the room was acceptable. For the price it is a nice place to stay.
It was a real pleasure to stay at the Heritage Inn Hotel. The staff here were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. As someone who is in a wheelchair they made sure my room was on the ground floor and accessible. The owner of the hotel even carried me up and down the few steps to the pool so I could swim which was unexpected but very appreciated. With the COVID 19 pandemic there was no continental breakfast offered in the traditional format but as a guest I was still taken care of as they asked what I wanted and brought a tray of food right to my door. I was in Cranbrook while my accessible van was getting serviced and the work wasnt done as early as expected (past checkout time) the staff offered me to stay in my room until the work was done for no additional charge. Exceptional customer service and I felt very well take care of. When my van needs to be serviced again or if I am in Cranbrook for any other reason I will be returning to the Heritage Inn Hotel again for sure!
I stayed at this hotel as part of a long journey. Meant it to be a simple open the door go to sleep and leave location. The air conditioner in the room was very loud. Sounded like the engine brake retarder on a semi truck. Worst sleep I have had in a hotel. To make it worse the hot breakfast . Not hot!!! Would never stay here again
Only one person on duty late? He spent too much time on the phone instead of the customer. Room was clean bed average. It said breakfast but it was a bag breakfast of a muffin, granola bar and juice box?
The manager was super helpful, the staff seems pleasent and our kids loved being in the pool. The room was clean, overall super happy with our stay.
Horrible, run down, and poorly maintained hotel. The room was in poor repair. So close to the main hey that you hear transports roaring by all night. Dirty old carpet on our floor that was frayed and stinky. Looks like it was original to the hotel. This hotel is quite a disgrace and needs a complete renovation. I would NOT recommend It!!
Unfortunately in this case.. We got even less then what we paid for so to speak. Got in, with our dog. Found pills on the floor of our room, Blow dryer dose not work, shower is hot but dose not work properly, no privacy curtains, just blackout and no housekeeping on staff. Hot tub is definitely dated. Worked in a pinch for a memorial. But wont be back.
Will stay again
Not great bar of soap used and put back in the box and bath met was wet why dont know never shower until thus morning ...
Avoid at all costs. Booked a room with breakfast, they said no. Had to pick up garbage from a previous guest. Property was poorly maintained with bath tap hanging off if wall and door rotted and rusty. Fridge was turned off (to save energy) even after turning on, my food was spoiled by morning and had to be thrown out. Bath towel was so old it was shredded. Found that out standing naked and dripping and had no choice but to use. They refused any compensation, except for breakfast, which I had booked as part of the reservation in the first place. At that point I refused on principal. Didnt seem to care at all about any of the above issues. I will NEVER go back.
Very unfriendly people with poor service at checking desk
Very nice & clean establishment....and the rooms are very comfortable, as well very affordable. The breakfast is included, which is terrific. Ill be coming back in near future
Good price, chill vibes. Great place
Tired, Outdated, expensive, Dirty. Worst hotel stay in a long time. Heater didnt work, desk called to complain about bathroom fan noise during shower.
A bit dated but still a good hotel
Comfortable hotel for the price, but hotel really needs some basic maintenance.
Wont let us in without photo ID, admittedly our own fault for not reading fine print and using temporary driving license. Wont accept foreign ID, wont return our money, and has been incredibly rude and disrespectful off the bat at the front desk. Judging from other reviews front desk behavior has been a recurring problem. So glad we chose to only book one night at a time and not waste our money
Very nice employees nice place
Didnt stay but were regulars for the dining room. Since new manager took over too many changes. Regular menu is still good but the specials are not so special anymore. Weekend entertainment is gone, Sat steak special is now $1 off the regular menu price AND they dont give the starter salad at that price, so not really a deal. Just had their new years eve buffet and it was excessively priced for a pretty basic buffet. Plus their wine menu has shrunk to next to nothing. Stick with the regular menu and youre ok.
Rooms and interior areas well overdue for renovation and modernization.
Very sad! The room I was given run yellow water for a morning shower! When I approach reception all I was given was that the water had to run for 10 minutes! If this was known why was I even this room? The hotel parking lot was basically empty! I guess this was a sign of what to expect! Can t even give a single star!
Enjoyed lunch while attending a Rotary meeting as a guest
A bit outdated, but fairly good maintained
Older rooms but beds are comfortable. Restaurant/pub in hotel very reasonable
I had breakfast here with a table of 6. Coffee kept coming, we got all of our orders correct and our server was very polite. We were there on Friday the 6th at 8am
Great place, nice restaurant
Although check in smooth and friendly, the Restaurant is closed on Tuesday, hot tub closed because of covid, blankets have a few holes, dirty rag left in bathroom, a bit dated, beds on their last legs. Tv is not HD, 2 of the ice machines weren t working And had to go to front desk so hotel clerk could get some out of kitchen.
Clean and friendly
Do not recommend. Water from taps smells like a moldy fish tank. Cord for air conditioning unit was laying on top of baseboard heater. Beds are very old.
Staff is always so friendly and helpful.
I visit the Heritage Inn mostly for meetings and special events as I live in Cranbrook. Food is always very good and plentiful. I recommend using them for any event you may be doing.
The room reeked of mold, it gave me sinus problems, nosebleeds, and headaches.
Just went to vote
Here for work often always nice staff and a nice room for us. Awesome food in the restaurant.
Very great staff
Excellent service and great hotel clean and good quality food
Went for a trade show it was well organized with social distancing and sanitizer.
Good food and service. Local friendliness.
We love eating here whether its Friday night for all you can eat pasta or Sunday morning for brunch the whole family has a good time. This was our favorite place growing up to go to with our dad who has passed away so theres alot of good memories for myself and my family at the heritage as well!
Sunday Brunch celebration of Grant Durrell b day. Awesome food and company
Outdated rooms, very clean though. No elevator . Lots of maintenance required, and part of the third floor stinks of cigarettes. Yes they allow smoking in part of the third floor.
Very good breakfast, older place but reasonably well kept.
This location was clean but it is dated and the bar and restaurant were closed they are not open on Sundays
Thanks team.
What a dump room stunk so bad.
Waitress was Super slow waited forever for her to come to the table...waited forever for our food then when it came to the table it was cold no one was impressed and I dont recomend it and ill never go back ...and this wasnt the first time that its happened
Great place to stay.
The room we stayed in was dated and tired but boy did the staff make up for it! From the front desk clerks to the lovely group that work in the restaurant and of course the kitchen and house keepers. Breakfast is the bomb here, Sunday they have a brunch that looked very delicious!
Excellent buffet at a wedding reception.
Right at the edge of being seedy, Heritage Inn needs serious renovation. The bed was fine, but the bathroom was badly dated with a barely functioning shower. Temperature control in the room was poor, too cold and then too warm. The lobby was outright frigid on an autumn day. Good staff and a good breakfast, however.
Was told to leave restaurant with my children because I was in the lounge. We walked over to the otherside and waited for 10 mins for server to arrive, never did. We ended up leaving. Rude service. We are from Cranbrook and wont be back.
The food is good the waitresses are amazing. They keep coffee cups full. The best thing is, my 94 yr old mother, loves to eat there and the waitresses are so good to her, they call her by her first name. Im from out of town so when I visit, I have to have their veal cutlets! They are so good.
Great
Great service, great food!
