1019 Cranbrook St N, Cranbrook, BC V1C 3S4, Canada
Located within the Best Western Hotel. Serving Breakfast & Dinner 7 days a week. Offering a unique breakfast menu, and a Mediterranean inspired dinner menu
I visited this restaurant twice, trying the beef kofta with egg for breakfast and the chicken cacciatore for dinner. The kofta was packed with flavor, a truly satisfying dish to start the day. In the cacciatore, the tomato flavor was overpowering, masking some of the other ingredients. The chicken portion felt too small—a second chicken thigh would have made it more satisfying. On both visits, the restaurant wasn’t busy, which made for a relaxed dining experience. The ambience was pleasant, and the servers were attentive and friendly. Overall, a decent spot with good service, but some dishes could use minor adjustments.
A very small and charming restaurant. The food was very delicious. If ever I come back to BC, I will definitely come back here. 10/10.
We were staying at the Best Western so tried this restaurant for breakfast, pancakes were hard on outside and raw in the middle. They didn’t even offer us a discount. Not busy should have been a clue.
This is a tough review as the food was good and the service was excellent. If you like beer there aren't many options and the options offered are odd. I'm also not a fan of the price. Given the portion size, this place is expensive in my opinion.
Staying at the Beat Western and definitely no need to venture out. This gem has great food and great service.
Uncommonly delicious. We were staying at the hotel and were intrigued by the menu. So glad we decided to eat here. Hummus was phenomenal and everyone loved their meals. Great drinks and beer too. Yum.
Wow! I had never been here before. I had put off going for a while, figuring a small restaurant in a hotel would not be very good—maybe mediocre at best. But I was so wrong! I was so impressed by this place. I went for brunch, and the service was great. Our waitress was attentive, bubbly, and quick with refills. I was also very happy with the portion size. Most restaurants give you a huge portion you can almost never finish, or if you do, you feel bloated afterward. That was not the case here. I felt satisfied by the time I finished my meal. Lastly, the atmosphere was cozy and happy. It was bright, welcoming, and very clean! If you are ever in the mood to try a new brunch place, I highly recommend The Modern Olive. The eggs benedict is amazing!
Tried this restaurant for our anniversary and it did not disappoint! We had the baked hummus, modern donair, souvlaki bowl, and shared a tiramisu jar for dessert. The food was excellent! The venue is a bit tiny, but cozy. Relaxed atmosphere to take in an NHL playoff game on the big TV, but can still hear ourselves talk and have a conversation. We will be back! Next time the flaming saganaki will be the appetizer!
Don t read anymore reviews. Just go. You WILL NOT be disappointed
My meal was amazing, and waitress was friendly and courteous. The tiramisu was divine!
The restaurant was empty, now I know why. Only customer in the restaurant for breakfast. The service was terrible and the food was even worse. Don t bother wasting your money. Food : 1/5
Was nice to pop in here after a long day of driving, enjoyed two beer and had great service from the bartender. Was hoping to stay in Cranbrook a little longer but I will be back, and will be heading there again.
Friendly service, with tasty food. I had the hamburger and salad. Nice discount when staying at the Best Western hotel.
My first time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. I love Greek food and I was not disappointed at all. Had the Greek fries with Tzatziki and the Souvlaki Bowl. Both were fabulous. I ll definitely be returning soon!
The appetizers were very good, be it a little pricey. We got the hummus, calamari, and steak skewers. The steak skewers were more of a ground beef than a tradition chunked steak. I got the donair under recommendation. This was not a traditional do air, no option for donair sauce. The steak protein was just the steak skewers. The fries that came with it were comically small. Fit in the palm of your hand. Maybe 20 fries. For the cost of the meal it was quite a let down. Would be a 2/5 but the service and appetizers brought the whole experience up to a 3.
Contrary to other reviews we found the portion sizes to be reasonable. Really enjoyed the Souvlaki Bowl!
Food is very poor quality and small portions. Do not recommend.
It should be called a hungry olive very small portions.
Excellent service and delicious food
best breakfast in cranbrook, eggs benedict were out of this world. not sure if the tables were stained or if they just look like that.
