Lakeside Beach Club in Cultus Lake

I recently had Lakeside Beach Club cater a Canape and Progressive Meal for a Christmas staff party at my home, and I was extremely happy with the food and the service. They made the entire process seamless and the food was AMAZING! My staff are still raving about how good it was. If you want to treat your guests to an elegant dining experience, tailored to your unique setting, beautifully presented, and inventively prepared, I highly recommend you hire Chef Chris and his team. Amazing food, very slow service, but totally worth it (as long as there arent hungry kids involved).

Food is amazing here! Been through a lot of the menu and never had a bad dish. Especially love the shakshuka at brunch and the short rib pasta for dinner!

The food was delicious and it was not busy at all which allowed for good service. My only complaint is that when I asked for a side of hot sauce, I wasnt told there was a $1.50 charge for a tiny little container. Youd think this would be complimentary as it is in every other similar restaurant - alas, it was not. But my husband asked for a side of ketchup (same little container) which he was not charged for... Strange.

Around 2005, Its like a junior high school cult meeting, and during recess, a kid was talking and was pushing his foot on me, and I said, Its heavy, but the kid gets angry and doesnt talk. Good food but a bit overpriced. Enjoyed the service. Atmosphere was a little loud but structure makes it loud. Recommend reservations even if you call and they say not needed, not busy...you will get a better seat. Parking is free but you need to enter LP before entering.

Nice patio vibe. The happy hour salmon plate was amazing. But we had to ask a couple times for cutlery. Loved my sangria. Not too sweet. I would go here again for sure.

I rarely post food reviews but seeing as this place only has a 4.1 I consider it my duty to tell everyone that the food here is unbelievably good, not what I expected from a lake resort restaurant! I had the crab risotto, black and blue toast, and chocolate dessert. Oh my god! Every dish was delicious, unconventional, and presented well. We went home and died in a food coma!

Not Good - my chicken wing were so dry but full of sauce they tasted like they were cooked the day before and smothered in sauce to hide it. I ordered a Caesar salad, my full order was the same size as my Friends half order... how does that work? And $20 for the worst Cesar salad I have ever had, a copious amount of dressing, it was gross and equivalent of a school cafeteria. The server was new and she was so nice, I felt bad for her as clearly nobody had taken the time to provide her any mentorship or much training she was trying so we expressed a great deal of patience. Lastly; TIP SHAMING/GUILT!! My personal favourite 18% Good 20% Great 22% Fantastic THIS IS THE MOST TACKY THING A RESTAURANT CAN DO!!! It makes me not to tip, don t shame me into what a good tip is!!! It is an extra and a guarantee otherwise it s just a tax!!!

This place serves up great food. Fresh ingredients from our local farmers. Live music, great atmosphere, great service.

I went there couple times and tried couple food to eat, the worst food I could ever have.burger was so dry ,full of sauce,not fresh, French fried were all brown and was not fresh at all.it seemed they fired them the day before .every thing was so bad, they make people busy with live music and give their worse food to them .

We came here this weekend for a girls night and it was a great experience. The food options are interesting and original. The drink menu had some creative cocktail options. We shared the black and blue toast which was incredible. The portion was quite small but it was very filling and the flavors were amazing. We also had the most delicious Brussel sprouts Ive ever had in my life. They were crispy all the way through I am going to try my best to recreate them. Our server was super sweet and attentive. I will definitely be coming back.

Great place to eat when you re up at the lake

Tried yesterday at 1230 to be told was 20 to 30bmin wait. But couldnt sit at bar either and only had 7 tables seated and rest was empty. Bit snobby attitude last couple years.

I will dream about the loaded beef dip until the day I return to eat another. It was AMAZING. also got a ceaser salad, it was pretty good but a little soggy. Atmosphere was great, service was OK.

My daughter went there and felt racism for first time in canada with waiters attitude and side look. My daughter was nice enough to ignore it few times but towards the end when she got a look many times she realised it was true indeed. She still tipped well.

The food is great but multiple times they have refused to seat us for 20 minutes even with plenty of open tables. Ive come for the live music and had to sit inside due to the patio being busy, obviously that is understandable. Once tables starting opening up outside they refused to let us move even tho we couldnt hear the live music from inside which we came for. Customer satisfaction is not top of mind here. Drinks are slow too.

Food is ok I guess but the kitchen is so slow... More than an hour to get food ready for 4 people... If you cant deliver, dont seat people.

I would absolutely recommend this place for a meal. The quality of the food was fantastic. There was a great selection to choose from in the menu. The flavor was delicious and the helping size was on par. The waiter did an amazing job serving our table of 8 and was very knowledgeable about the food on the menu and the specials being offered. The building was clean and modern with a very nice, large patio. The washrooms were clean and stocked. I did find the seating to be a little uncomfortable and there was nowhere for our party to hang their jackets. Pricing was fair for the service and quality of food received. Although it is a bit of a drive into Culture Lake to visit it is absolutely worth it!

Incredible appetizers! You cannot order food like this anywhere in Chilliwack. Very beautiful presentation and elegant options to choose from. The atmosphere is equally amazing with a chalet/ Whistler inspired feel to it. Our service dog was welcome and staff were inviting. This is a must see location, great for a date night or bring your grandma. Everyone will love this place.

Service was good and great atmosphere, the food for me didnt quite hit the spot. I had a bacon cheese burger with onion rings. The onion rings were exactly what I was hoping for but the burger just didnt do it for me. I felt it was quite bland and didnt taste like much.

Absolutely delicious food! Always friendly staff, helpful staff, and fast service! We went a couple times in a row and the staff remembered us and our usual order! It s the little things that mean a lot!

We went here for mothers day brunch 2023 and it was absolutely rediculous how long they made us wait. We were there for over 2 hours, ended up leaving before dessert because we were so sick of waiting. We sat there for an hour before we even got our drinks! The food was cold when we finally got it and there response was oh sorry we are busy. Im sorry it was not that busy at all and to keep us there for over 2 hours and not even give us a discount on the food we never got! Nope will not be giving them my business anymore. Absolutely unacceptable.

The burger I had was as pretty similar to a teen burger. Dry and underwhelming. $17 plus tax for 3 tacos seemed high for what my friend got. I didn t taste that good or worth the price. We left disappointed. Staff was nice though! And nice atmosphere.

Terrible service with altitudes

Have dined here many times over the years and it is very hit and miss on the food. We have always had great service and the location/atmosphere is great. I think today was our last visit. My burger patty was over cooked, dry and rubbery. The onion rings on the burger were stone cold. I gave up on the fries years ago but my wife had them with her sandwich and as usual they are a greasy soggy mess that just lays there limply on your plate. You could easily squeeze the grease out of each fry. On top of that the deep fry oil is not being filtered or cleaned frequently enough so the fries are very dark in color (we were there for an early lunch so clearly they were using the unfiltered oil from the day before).

We have been here for dinner twice in the last month, and everything is amazing! Both servers recommended the Black & Blue toast, and it is absolutely delicious! The drinks and meals are always so good, service is great, the patio is wonderful. Chilliwack is very limited in its options for a nice patios, with good food, and good atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great meal in Chilliwack, in a wonderful setting.

We were group of 7 on July 9th and it was my nephews birthday. We were informed of the wait time because we didn t have reservation. We didn t mind waiting so we took a walk by the lake. All I can say is it was really worth the wait. Staffs were very welcoming and happy. Our server Taylor was very sweet and his service was phenomenal. My family and I loved our meals, they were all delicious. We were also surprised of the quality of their food, the presentation and very reasonable price for the amount of food we had. We all had fun dining here and we would definitely come back again. :-)

Good food but awful service. We waited so long to be seated, didn t bring water or anything. The appetizers came and we didnt have any plates or cutlery. The staff barely came to the table and food didn t come for an hour. Very bad experience and this restaurant definitely needs to level up the service great location and people come out of water park hungry and want to get food and service and leave.

The elevated pub food is exceptional. The Beef dip, tacos and chicken & waffles were amazing. Home made fries were worth it! Our servers were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about both the food and drink list. Hands down best place to eat and drink in Cultus! Hats off to the chef! Kid-friendliness: Servers made this experience super fun for kiddos. Had them guessing where the elevator was.

We came here for lunch after a day at the waterslides and it was fantastic! Tess was our waitress and she was amazing! Funny, knew the menu inside and out and recommended some amazing dishes. It was so good we came back later that day for dinner and was blown away! The Tuna Nachos and Toasts were superb! Will go back for sure! You rock Tess! Thanks again! :)

Service is soooo slow!!! Brutal!!! Foods good. Atmospheres chill!! Kitchen staff is cleaning tables, thats a bad sign. They need some person to properly run this very potential pub/restaurant. No music at all on friday

Dont go mid day. Waitresses were uninterested and we did not feel welcome at all. Seemed like an inconvenience that we were there. Food is priced as expected for a very seasonal restaurant where they only have a few summer months to make rev. Might be an idea to simplify the menu and not reach for city fare with city price points. Will try again another time. Everyone has a bad day now and then .

One of our favourites.

So we came here because of the good google reviews, and I rarely leave bad reviews but this place was terrible on many levels. First, the table had loose screws so every time anyone even bumped it a little everyones drinks spilled. Buy a screwdriver guys. Second, the food wasnt great. The fryer oil clearly hadnt been changed in too long as the fish and chips tasted off and clearly werent the right colour. When my mom asked the waitress if the oil was old she told us no it was changed every night, which no restaurant in the world does. Third, the service was TERRIBLE. They completely missed one of our orders and took 30 minutes to fix it. All the food took a long time despite the place being less than half full. Our waitress barely touched the table. We finished a full bottle of wine before the entrees arrived and had to wait another 15 minutes for the second bottle to arrive. Then finally after an hour and a half I asked for the cheque. The waitress brought it and asked if I need the machine which I did and said so immediately. Ten minutes later and no machine, so I walked to the front and asked to pay there. At this point the waitress asked why I was upset and I just asked to pay and leave. Now I cant even tell you the last time I didnt tip, but this was beyond and yes this was a zero tip occassion. When the waitress saw this she told me that she wished I would have brought my concerns to her attention sooner, to which I replied if you had bothered to come by our table I certainly would have. Definitely recommend you avoid this place.

Went here for lunch during the shoulder season, so it was rather quiet (unlike summer). Nice variety of selections on menu. Food was well presented and tasty. Service was good. Enjoyed sitting on the patio. Would certainly go again.

This is Chilliwacks answer to fine dining! The menu is great, prices are reasonable and about the only thing negative I would say is that having cheesy metal chairs in such a nice atmosphere really brings it down a notch in my opinion. I think the only thing missing is having more nice comfortable chairs and possibly dim the lighting a little, especially on a Friday night to create a little more intimate atmosphere would be my only criticism here. Otherwise its fantastic!

I went there yesterday with the wife. She had pasta with prawns and I had the Spencer burger...everything was spanking tasty! the menu is not big but it seems that EVERYTHING is fresh made from scratch...the cookie cheesecake was A BOMB!! SO GOOD!!! Poutine was amazing too!! I have living in Chilli for over a year and a half now and never had the chance to visit before...the place just made to the top of my local list. The service was really friendly too with a big smile on their faces the whole time and yesterday we had a really nice live music. Def is a place to visit frequently.

We were a group of 7 and the restaurant was mostly empty. Service was slow, and we had trouble getting the waitresses attention. Food was ok. The hummus was a little weird, and came with fried wontons that tasted like old, rancid oil. As a sub for the wontons we got toasted sourdough bread. The prawn and crab macaroni felt dry and the prawns were overcooked. We had the chocolate pate for dessert and its nothing more than a super thick mousse with a super tart raspberry sauce. We couldnt eat the whole thing between 2 people. I understand trying to make recipes your own so its not like everyone else, but they seriously need to retool their recipes and go back to basics

The food service delivery was slow. We had some good company with us thankfully. It helped the time pass while we waited. The food options are all very nicely prepared. Good adult beverage selection which also helped. We will return for another visit, because the food was just that good

Great place! Friendly staff, great food and Cooks. Wonderful atmosphere, with a fireplace inside makes you feel cozy and comfortable. When youre in there you feel like you just finished skiing in Whistler and stopped to have a bite to eat & a drink even though youre in Cultus Lake / Chilliwack.

Since moving up to Cultus Lake the Beach Club has become a big part of our weekly outings! Super friendly staff and owners who really know their stuff make coming to the beach club super desirable! Chef Chris and his team of cooks are always creating super exciting and tasty new dishes which makes coming in each time a treat as you ll always have something new to try! The Sunday brunch is to also delicious. Anytime someone comes to visit us in Cultus our first stop is always the beach club!

Today was one of those Saturdays when the lower mainland rain finally stopped. So my son and I decided to go for a drive (from Surrey) grab a bite and go for a walk around Cultus Lake. We both had the burgers, by far the best burger I have ever eaten! Our server was friendly, great atmosphere and OMG the food! You gotta eat here!

We moved up to Cultus Lake in early November and have had the opportunity to eat at the LBC several times. We have been really impressed with the quality and complexity of the menu items. The chef and his staff have produced a varied menu that we would expect to find in Vancouver, not in a quiet little community like this. The front of house staff are friendly and good at taking care of your needs. The LBC is a little gem of a restaurant that is well worth the drive up to Cultus!

Best food in Cultus Lake!!

Great food and service and the dinner specials are always delicious. They have the best sweet potato fries I have ever tasted. Try to reserve a booth if you want a comfy seat inside. Looking forward to patio season!

Got a burger and a beer. The most basic meal ever . It was not good and very expensive for what it is. Any fast food chain carries better quality and tastier food. Not recommend, unless you absolutely have no other choice.

Attended the fundraiser for Spencer and enjoyed our meal very much, the burger was handmade that day and was topped perfectly with an onion ring bbq sauce among the normal toppings. Glad they put this event on with 100 of the proceeds of the burger and one beer going toward his recover. Standup act. We did share a side of fry s, they were evenly cooked and not too greasy. I ve gone here many times but on this occasion I had to leave a review. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. It gets really busy in the summer, best time to go is mid week for an early dinner. They serve local beer from Chilliwack and the Vancouver area. Looking forward to the next time we go! We have been here a few times now and have been impressed with the amazing service and the quality of food. They have a very fascinating menu full of creativity. He need to visit multiple times just to try all the things you fancy! Love this place!

We go to Cultus lake often for walks as we live close by. We finally decided to try this place and we re pleasantly surprised! Our server (as well as the other staff) was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as well. My hubby and I both ordered the burgers, both seasoned well and just yummy! We will be back for sure.

We had the best burgers and their ceaser is top notch. Its so worth it to drive all the way from Coquitlam to Caltus Lake . Cant wait to have foids there again.

I tried out this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. I ordered the watermelon mojito , unfortunately they were out of watermelon but replaced with raspberry and it was still very good. I had read online that they make their ingredients in house which means i had hoped for very flavorful food. I was not disappointed , everyone at our table enjoyed their food. My only complaint would be that i ordered the ahi tuna salad thinking it was a lower carb option. i had read the description that egg noodles were in the salad but i didnt realize its mainly noodles with just a little bit of green salad . Next time i would ask for 1/4 the amount of noodles and more greens . The Tuna was AMAZING and the dressing so good, cant wait to go back and try more menu items.

Food is good and nice restaurant. Only concern we had was that our reservation was bumped to a late dinner time even though we had confirmed reservation as some other large group wanted to reserve.

Came on friday night. Luckily we made reservations because we tried to come here last year after the park and the wait was too long. Great location and nice atmosphere. The negative was we had to wait a long time for food to come out. Even appetizers (wings, nachos and calamari) took 35 to 40 mins to come. Not ideal when we have small children that were hungry after the park. The food was good when it finally came. Would come back again because the food was good.

We went here and it was really busy and we had to wait for 15 minutes but the food was well worth the wait. The LBC burger was is one of the best burgers I ve ever had. The fries were also superb. They even let us charge our phones behind the counter for free as we were camping. My dad got the beef dip and it was so good it didn t even need the dip. Our waitress told us all food is made in house and takes longer than other restaurants but you could tell it was better than other restaurants. We will be coming back soon!

Delicious food and gorgeous service

Last night was my first time at Lakeside and it certainly did not disappoint. From the great atmosphere to the delicious food and our amazing server, the entire experience was awesome - highly recommend and definitely will be back!

Service at Lakeside Beach Club is great, the staff were friendly and attentive. Drink selection was great too! The food was just ok in my opinion but I think I would like other items on the menu better than what I ordered. The beef toasty was super jammy and salty, it was a miss for me.

Service was so slow we turned around and walked out. Dont waste your time waiting around for these humans that move like snails. The on lake time sign was offensive at this point.

Real good burger, best around and home fries.

Prices are high for what you get. Sat forever with a glass of water with no one to take our order. Finally left after waiting nearly 20 minutes to place our order. Horrible service for my girlfriend s birthday.

Pretty average restaurant experience. The food was really good and we got it fairly quickly after ordering. The service wasnt bad but certainly could have been better. In general, not bad and I would recommend this place.

I had an awesome meal as usual, the drinks were awesome. I told the bar tender who I have talked to before about the womans bathroom and he says you should see the basement like I just spent 160 on dinner you should this time alone and its disgusting. I need to know you understand its disgusting but all he cared about was his tips. His bun and his disgusting attitude will make me never return now. I would rather have McDonalds and that is something to say

Great location. Food was good. Fries were dark and burned oil filled. Ordered a redo due to this. Came out same. Was told we at tge table were mistaken. Wasnt looking for one however no cr on bill.

Chris was amazing! I received absolutely perfect service here. Chris assisted me with a unique wedding proposal at this restaurant and she was extremely organized and professional throughout the entire process. I enjoy the Caesar s here but the last time I visited I was denied entry for the way my top looked. I was dressed in a rainbow crotchet top and crotchet shorts and I was told it s a bathing suit. I was dressed clean and done up it was quite offensive to be denied entry. Also we came here two weeks ago and I ordered the ahi tuna salad and the tuna was very fishy and over cooked. I thought the patio here would have enjoyed my style it s called the LAKESIDE BEACH CLUB

Good burger out on the patio while we are still dealing with covid. Was a sunday, so lunch menu doesnt start until after 1. But they had no problem seating us and serving us a drink while we waited. Friendly staff.

Great outdoor patio and nice selection of local craft beer. Finally open for limited indoor dining, but on a day like today it was great to eat out on the deck. Excellent diverse selection of small, share, and main dishes with traditional staples like fishnchips and wings, and unique offerings like a starter pasta bowl, portobello stroganoff burger, lettuce wraps, carnitas, and more. Always something new and interesting to try, and always delicious.

We order a salad and fish and chips. The fish and chips is a very small plate of fries and the fish if there is any is infinitesimal!!! Its all air and no fish. And the salad has no good flavor, looked good but has not real taste. Our complain is about the food, not the service.

It s quite pricy - Google should update as it s not $$ it s more like $$$ . Hostess & Server both had major attitude. First we asked for a booth, they were empty but said no then we were not given water. After I asked, it still took awhile .. The bartender secret drink was AWFUL!! Tequila peach & soda . Couldn t finish it. Husband didn t like his beer also. Based on this and the menu prices we took a hard pass on food and left. Don t recommend and won t return.

I ll start off by saying our serving was wonderful, great service. Unfortunately the food not so much My pasta was extremely dry and flavorless, the ceaser was awful and the fries my boyfriend had were dripping with grease. We both feel sick after eating there.

We ordered breaded chicken thigh sandwich, it wasn t chicken inside at all, but dark brown crumbled on a peace of ciabatta bread!! Awful food. Do not try pls

Ordeeed fish n chips Fish was okay but fries were burnt out as if it was refried. Ordered a second set of fries...guess what ,it was worst.

Extremely disaffected and disappointed by this establishment. Decided to pop by for lunch at 12:45pm on a Saturday afternoon. Ample free parking in the parkade. For a group of six, we were seated promptly and our server got us water as well. The experience went downhill after we ordered. We waited over an hour for our food to be served after ordering and to me, this was completely unacceptable because the restaurant wasn t full and we were just ordering burgers and sandwiches. Onto the food - perhaps a 2/5. The ahi tuna sandwich ($17) was fine. There was not a lot of tuna in it and it was quite saucy but I was starving at this point. It came with a side and chose the Caesar salad. It was almost inedible because of way too much dressing. But one of the worst part of the meal while eating was the flies! Oh god, they re everywhere and we were unable to even enjoy our meal without swatting every minute. The worst part after eating was getting our bills. Our server was either no where to be found or was completely ignoring our table. We tried to flag her multiple times and she seemed to purposefully take another route to avoid us. After waiting another half hour we decided to flag another host to call our server over. We were completely disappointed by the poor customer service. Overall bad service, bad experience, mediocre food. Will not come back.

Great patio, nice staff.

Good was pretty good and reasonably priced, service wasnt very good though. We were never asked how our food was. We had to ask for more water several times after saying we were very thirsty as it was a hot day and we were on the patio.

We had a great experience here. We went on a Saturday night and were seated within the 20 minute wait time staff gave us. I was so impressed that the kitchen was able to turn out both burger style food and higher end fare and both were equally good. My husband had the Cubano Sandwich and said it was excellent. I had the Fraser Valley duck and it was amazing. Staff were great and I was happy to see they did a great job of making the restaurant safe during Covid. Mask requirements were followed and tables were spaced apart for safety. Cant say enough about the quality of the food.

A favourite for our family or for casual date night. The menu doesnt change but thats a good thing. Consistently good food. Service is great and its a cool atmosphere.

Christy and Chris have done an amazing job of making the beach club a warm and welcoming spot! The amazing service and friendliness from the from of house makes every visit a memorable one. Chris is doing a fantastic job in the kitchen, amazing quality food coming out of the kitchen with outstanding fresh specials! 10/10 will recommend to anyone I know looking for a great place to hangout! Keep up the great work LBC!

Best restaurant in the Valley. Kayli and crew are always smiling and happy to see us. Fantastic service and fantastic food! Great live music. All of the staff deserves a solid 5 star review!
