Love this place! We had a fantastic server, and the food was EXACTLY what you're looking for WRT real pub grub for all. We had a vegetarian, pescatarian, and two meat eaters, all left happy and full. For the BIG WIN, we had our drinks and food ALL within 10 minutes of being there. 🩷
Would have given them zeros but doesn't allow..Well what a night. Went to the Ship Victory in Dartmouth for karaoke. Well where do I start. Waitress was rude and unprofessional, my liver came out with blood on the plate and oozing from the liver..then no I'm sorry or anything. Didn't come back to see if i wanted anything different. Service was awful. Then the host allowed 2 people to sing the same song pretty much back to back. Well it was an adventure and not one I shall repeat..only good thing was the people I was with..
Tourists staying nearby and looking for reasonably priced dinner. Chose this place via postive Google reviews and weren't disappointed. Had burgers and they were very reasonably priced and excellent. Unique decor, atmosphere and service were great. Strange that the exterior of the building is so neglected, but don't let that deter you. Very pleasant meal.
Have always drove by but never went inside. Decided to stop in with a friend for a birthday meal. The onion rings were very good, nachos amazing and mozzarella sticks were ok. The atmosphere is nice and the waiter was very pleasurable and friendly. Would recommend this spot to anyone.
Our server was very nice and we received our order quickly, which is great. However, the fish & chips were so greasy they were almost shiny, and the nachos had maybe a handful of full chips, the rest were just a broken up mess. Over all, it was just meh, most likely wouldn't go back.
The menu had loads of options, the food came out quickly and was very good. Our server was very pleasant, attentive and seemed to be enjoying his job and his customers. There were some lively locals debating life while enjoying the bar, so we had dinner and a show! Would listen to their Monday evening podcast, lol! We really enjoyed our experience.
The outside looks little rough around the edges, but don't be put off! We came with a small party and had a great time. The decor is really fun and the booths are comfy. We were really impressed with the food! All of our dishes were great. The burger was cooked so well, really juicy and not dry. Poutine had real cheese curds and the gravy wasn't too salty. Great place to bring a group of friends!

Just wow.. it was horrible.. the server needs lessons in the hospitality industry.. yes your tips reflect your service.. or table of 5 was overwhelming...?.. the place was dead.. ashd now we know why.. party of 8.. will never be back

On Vacation down in halifax. Googled places that were open at 3pm. Google stated they were open at noon so we went. The doors were closed and the man smoking outside stated they only opened at 4. Against my fiancés, also a cook, better judgement we waited for them to open. Staff were still showing up at 4. We waited a couple minutes then walked in (only car in the parking lot). The lights were dimmed and NOT ONE person in the area. We waited then turned around and walked out.

Tried to come eat here unfortunately everytime we tried restaurant was closed as we are not from here, but the bar man was awesome friendly and talkative and had fun on the vlt s like the vibes inside.
I really appreciate the vibes of this place. The decor and atmosphere sticks to its theme well, seemingly without overdoing it. Wings were the largest, tastiest and cheapest Ive had since pre-pandemic. Will be returning when back in town. :)

Good wings
We discovered this bar by accident, looking for a good plate of fish and chips. When you find the Ship Victory, dont be swayed by the exterior...it needs some TLC. However, once inside, what a treat. Our very friendly and attentive server, Ronda (no H) ;-), was a pleasure to meet and learn from. We both had the fish and chips. I must say, some of the best weve had. The fish was cooked fresh, with just the right amount of batter! Amazing flavour. The chips were not your run-of-the-mill fries...very tasty. We will definitely be back when in Dartmouth again. Highly recommend Ship Victory!

This place is Under New Management and new kitchen! Definitely half to try the egg rolls! And the Victory Burger is to die for!

Ate at Ship Victory for the first time and I knew the food would be amazing because they have one of the best cooks I know in there. They only had 2 servers but they were able to get the food out in good time and be respectful. I ll definitely be going back for more!

Arrived from out of town with three young ones in tow, and the ship-themed setting promised a fun dinner experience for the whole family! We sat right behind the captains wheel and our server helped to take photos of us. While the kids longed to explore the games room, theyll have to bide their time until they hit 18 for another visit. Nonetheless, the commendable food and service made it a satisfying dining experience for all.
Great egg rolls! Made in house (or locally) too! Very cool inside. Kinda bummed that the ship steering wheel didnt spin Were not often in that area but would likely go again if we are. Food : 4/5

A classic Dartmouth tavern where one can enjoy a couple pints over a steak and while away an evening.
Solid staff they do what they can due to covid and loss of business... I love this place to chill n have a beer after work ... love yas cheers
Coming into the bar it was very dark, after waiting for about five minutes a girl came out to see me. She was the sweetest lady Ive ever met! I got my take out order and left. My clams were very overcooked, they were like rubber, the fries were okay, and it was a very small portion for $25 bucks. The girl was a 10/10, but I wont be back.

I think this one of two remaining Navy pubs in the country. Oak interior styling like an old sailing ship. Not many patrons so the service was really quick. Menus need to be updated to reflect current pricing. Our server pointed out the difference. This place has space for a band and a small dance floor but needs the life brought back into it post COVID.

I love this place - the service is excellent and I never feel rushed. The food cand be hit or miss, but its mostly hit and I always have a good time chatting and hanging out with my friends.
Great wings, good service, they dont make cocktails, but If you are looking for the pub experience, well worth the trip. But the wings where really super reasonable (pricing) on their wing night and they stayed open late to accommodate our large party coming from all over the country. Cant stress the good food/service enough.

Food is pretty good home style pub fare, but the kitchen hours are spotty. Staff are pretty friendly and the service is usually pretty quick. VLTs on site if youre into that.

Burger week burger!!! Victory burger with fries and Moosehead beer! Burger was absolutely amazing! Nice and juicy with lots of toppings and excellent taste! First time here but wont be the last for sure!

Always wanted to try this place out of novelty, but it was really good. The inside is likr the inside of a ship (with steering wheel). Fish and chips were GREAT and the prices are super fair. Good service. Will be back again.
Food was great. Service was a little lacking. They were running all over the place. No real organization. The staff is friendly. But they are not used to it being busy.

I checked the business hours online and found that the closing time was midnight. We arrived at 9pm and the reply was that it was closed!

The food is always good. You can do take out. The restaurant is always clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you want you can call ahead so your food is ready when you get there. Had fish and chips tonight. The fish is lightly battered and very tasty. Husband had a club house which was also good.
Went for wing night. Wings were good. Service was sub par. Restaurant wasnt busy and service took a long time. After one round of wings server took nearly half an hour to even come back to the table to order another round. Also she made sure to let us know how the wings were a cost drain on the restaurant. Didnt really make me feel like we were welcome. Wont be going back any time soon unfortunately.

Its a dark and dingy bar in Dartmouth, and far exceeds those low expectations! Lunch menu is cheap and you cant knock that.

We showed up on a Saturday night three hours before close and were turned away. Its too bad, as we live within walking distance, I likely wont attempt a second visit.
