The bartender gave me the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I was sober going in and she made me cry by her cruel nature... it was honestly the worst .. I feel bad for people who go there and she is working She clearly hates her job
Finding a place with music on a Thursday night wasn't easy, so the karaoke was inviting, but no dance floor, and loud bickering patrons.
Good food great prices and friendly staff. Ordered a Donair and it was delicious and filling. Good beer on tap as well. Open early.
Really nice and friendly service, our server was a joy and so upbeat it was awesome. Came here and felt right at home, having a drink with all the locals, even though I was at least 1500kms away from home, it didn't fell that far during my stay. The food is simple but delicious. I had the Fish and Chips which tasted fresh and the batter around them was golden brown and very crispy. Would recommend this place if youre in the area and trying to go somewhere relaxing.

Small bar. Nice staff. Convenient pizza. Dont head in looking for more than the simple bar that it is intending to be. Dont judge, just drink.

Its a lot smaller than it used to be small,not that great of a lounge more like a place to kill some time or play a VLT.
Perfect little bar for a mid-to-late night drink while bar hoping in downtown Dartmouth. Friendly staff and affordable drinks. What more can you ask for?
Good dive bar
Went in for lunch, 2 other people in the place. The waitress walked by me to take a bill to another table, dealt with them, then went back behind the bar to take the machine back. She then started polishing glasses. I was staring right at her and she polished away. Then she walked by me again to clear off a table. I was there ten minutes and not even acknowledged. She walked back over to finish clearing the table. While she was doing it, I got up and left. She clearly saw me and didn t say a word. Guess I ll stick with Celtic Corner.

Typical dive bar. Food comes from Revana Pizza next door, ATM never in service. Washroom at the pizza joint.
Had the Fish Burger.. It was a piece of battered fish on a bun with tarter sauce, lettuce and tomato. The fish was short/fat and filling!! Its a do over for me..

Friendly pleasant place
Fairly small, dark lounge with limited seating and a regular clientele. The attractions here are the music, the VLTs, wing night and the fact you can get food brought in next door from Revana s. I make it a point to drop in when I m back in Nova Scotia. A bit gritty and rough around the edges, but that is part of its charm. Olga (former waitress/bouncer/bartender) is a big miss.

Karaoke night (Thursdays 8pm-12am) was a blast! Kitchen is open late and drinks are reasonably priced. There are also several slot machines.
Wish I could rate more than one star since I ve heard great things about this place but after todays experience I really can t. This was the first time we ve been there and we ordered two burgers. After about a 40 minute wait we asked to pay for our drinks and left hungry. It was not busy, it was only us and one other customer waiting for food. I might add that the other customer was served before us even though we arrived 10-15 minutes before him; this was when we asked for our bill. Hopefully this is a one off and people get better service than we received.

Always a great place to have a couple drinks and spend a couple bucks on the slot machines this Pub has a older / modern type it feel to it with the added bonus have a pizza shop attached with a Midway door without having to exit outside which makes it quite convenient as you wait for your pizza you can have a drink after a long day

Whiskeys gets great blues bands with no cover charge. Reminds me of the Nashville bar atmosphere. Friendly spot.

Came across the ferry from Halifax, walked around looking for the most local down to earth bar and found it here. I ordered fish n chips. Food was okay, service was pretty bad. Had to ask 3 times for salt. After asking 3 times very politely and being 3/4 of my meal I just got up quietly and got my own salt. Why keep asking politely it wasn t coming. Why 5 stars anyways? The local group of people there had a real sense of humour super down to earth the type of people that just seemed super fun. By simply sitting eating fish n chips I caught an earful of jokes. Just a great energy here and it really made the town seem super friendly. Should have stayed longer. I would come back here to specifically support the local bar. Girl just a little salt with my fries? Comon please!? See you next time :-)

Unfortunately many items that were advertised on the menu were not available for order when requested. No substitutes were adequately suggested or offered. Mediocre selection of beer. Service was left to be desired.

Waitress was nice enough and the drinks are reasonable but it s a very dark, small and tired pub. Could use some updating and just as a bit of info, the kitchen doesn t open until 4pm. Will definitely go somewhere else when we are in Dartmouth again.

A down to earth cozy environment welcoming people of all walks of life. From movie stars to vagabonds, everyone has walked through Whiskeys doors.
I go here a lot to relax, have a few beer and some food. Last time I was there, I tried a new idem on their menu called the taco pizza. It was very tasty and reasonably priced.
Music was phenomenal, but service was a little lax. Would definitely go again for the sounds.

A small cozy pub with a friendly staff and good food with large portions. Only downside is people crowd the door to smoke and the inebriated will loudly vocalize their opinions to those around them.

My son and I enjoyed our food experience. They have the best Donairs in town and service is done with a smile. They are very welcoming and generous with their portions. Quality food, great service, and easy on the budget.
