We had takeout last night, suggested by our daughter. Omg the dishes and appetizers were the best. We are retired and have had our fair share Asian cuisine. This will be our new go to place.

Ordered from here tonight and was very disappointed with the ribs. Everything else was good but the ribs seemed dry and hardly had any sauce on them.

I first ate at Wongs the week of their grand opening and for a while was a regular patron. The food was very consistent and of a high quality. The fried goods like the spring rolls were always crisp and fresh. The soups were always fresh and the ingredients like cabbage, pork and wontons were always cooked well and not mushy. Time moves on and a decade or two passed since I last visited. Recently I ordered take out from them on multiple occasions. I was delighted to find that the food was just as I remembered. Crisp things are crisp, fresh things are fresh and mysterious red fluorescent sweet and sour sauces are still mysterious delicious sweet and sour sauces. Highly recommend the meat spring rolls.

My family has been regular customers probably since Wongs opened. Ordered our usual 3 hunan chicken with 1 side dish of chicken chow mein. Drove home 30 min only to find the chicken chow mein piled up on top of the spicy hunan chicken. Who does that?! Wongs! It was gross! Called back and the rude Karen told us that s how they serve it now. It was a disgrace and her attitude was even more disgraceful, than the food. Put us on hold twice, even disconnected totally disrespectful to me and my mother. Told us we had to bring it back so she could see it, wouldn t settle for a picture, asked to speak to the manager said she was at China Town, asked for our names and wouldnt give us her name until my mother said I gave you my name. Brenda is who she said she was I know it definitely want not Tanya. Food was terrible and and so was the service. Bye Wongs!!!

Food was good, chicken balls were a little over cooked. But overall not bad.

Have ate at many local chinese restaurants over the last few years. HK Wongs by far the best and best bang for your buck. Good job. I wish more restaurants were like this establishment. Thanks

Best Chinese food in Nova Scotia. Hands down. The ONLY reason I m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of dine in or delivery. The fact that they can survive without offering it speaks to how delicious the food is. I really hope this business model works for them and they never close. Or you know, start offering dine in and/or delivery.

There are no surprises here. The food is always very good and so too are the generous portions. I have been either eating in or getting takeout and never had any problems or issues with the service either. Personally I think this is one of the top 2 places I go to for Chinese.

Just wondering is this how your restaurant on the bedford highway witch is China town should be running just wondering before I call food inspection just got the dinner for two from them and I am disgusted

Ordered another great birthday meal but wish we could get back to eating inside the restuarant and enjoying some Peking duck!

Best Chinese food in town

I have never ordered from somewhere that they have straight out told me they cant make a change. I have an allergy and wanted them to keep something off of the item, which really is easy its not like I wanted no corn or something in the rice I wanted no sauce on the chicken to be told no. I know your busy but taking a step away from what your doing is not making it harder on your, Ive been on your shoes before. Also lady was not nice about it so my 3 star (for my main issue) went to a one star thanks to her attitude. No worries many other places in HRM.

Food was pretty tasty. We did a take out order for five people and everyone enjoyed it. The portion sizes were large and the prices were very reasonable. Ill definitely be ordering from here again.

There are few places I like to eat . Fish places ,burger places , Chinese places . This is one of the many I gave up on. There where times I choose not to eat there ,I have now changed my mind . Their food has improved . This improvement was made many years ago I believe . I lost out on . Hoping this reaches the few like me . Try HK Wongs .You will not be disappointed .

The best prices, and the food is so good. I ordered the large combo for my family every time we get Chinese, and there is always leftovers for the next day for work. Can t beat it!

Restaurant was supposed to open at 4.30pm and by 5.30pm no one answers phone or answers and hangs up right away.Phone problems ?Possibly. However doors are locked as well with sign asking to call in orders.Not good business.

I have been a very loyal customer over the years, the food is great but the service is really gone downhill. Hours of operation are a suggestion only now, delivery is a lottery some days they do someday they dont. You must pick up your expensive food and even than it may take a while. I guess since the pandemic, they realize that they can get more profits, if they offer less service, It is very unfortunate the prices went up but their service.... well lets just say nonexistence. I think it is time to find a new restaurant with good food and a good customer service. good luck

The food was OK. The website hasn t been updated since Covid hit. The prices are wrong and it doesn t say they only do take-out, which I don t understand. It s still busy for take-out, but not as good as it used to be. Sorry!!!!

My partner and myself drive from the valley to this restaurant all the time because you cant beat the portion sizes and the price is the most affordable then any other spot we found in the valley! We would suggest ordering your next dinner here! Try the pan fried dumplings lol

Started dining here a little over a year ago after getting a number of positive word of mouth reviews. One of our favourite takeout spots in HRM. The food has always been great and staff is friendly and on top of things. Would recommend items from the Szechuan menu. Highly recommend this busy spot.

Good is good, but the Manager is very rude. I have delt with her on the phone and in person was not a peaceful experience. She was rude both times.nacts like they do not need your business. I tried to talk to the owners and she tell me they dont speak English. I do not recommend this place just because of her rude customer service.

My review is based on the fact that they do not deliver to Shearwater. The woman told me that Shearwater is way out there. 7 km is apparently way too far. They do not use any delivery service either, which I do understand to some degree but its time to get with current times Wongs. Maybe someday Ill go in to eat or when Im not being lazy, go pick up but for now, no Wongs for me.

The food here is very good and the prices can t be beat we often order two combos and then add extra sides and have a hard time finishing it as a family of four. If you like Canadian style Chinese this might be the best place in Dartmouth

Total disappointment it s like something that came out of a bad high school cafeteria. The spring roll wasn t bad, guess it was the highlight of the meal.

We placed an order for take out this evening. The wait staff were friendly and pleasant. I ordered spicy hot n sour soup, chicken Chow Mein, beef with broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and a spring roll. We had placed our order with pick up at 330pm, it being NYE they were busy, but it was obvious when we opened everything at home that it had sat out for a bit as everything was cold. Not a big deal. I personally loved the beef with broccoli, though it is definitely more broccoli than beef; which is why I liked it. The soup and chow mein were also quite good. I didnt care for the spring roll, as it is just spring roll filling in an egg roll wrapper, and I dont care for the taste and texture of egg roll wrappers. Again, personal preference. The reason I am only giving 3 stars is because of the sweet and sour chicken; at any other Chinese food place that I have ordered this for delivery or pick up, they have ALWAYS packaged the sauce separately from the chicken in order to keep it crisp. Without needing to be specifically asked to do so, so it didnt even occur to me to ask as it seems like common sense to me. Because of this, it was super soggy, to the point that my daughter; who the order of sweet and sour chicken was for, couldnt even eat it. So that was a waste. In future I would suggest for pick up orders that you package sauces separately. Other than this, it was fairly decent, and the portions were generous.

I love this place, I always order combination 2 with extra egg roll and a can of rootbeer. Always fresh, very tasty, sometimes eat in witch is lovely but majority of the time I order out and within 15 minutes its always ready witch is amazing timing. I always recommend this place to my family and friends and recommend you do the same!

Best Chinese in Dartmouth

Our new go-to Chinese spot in Dartmouth. I have never dined in here so my experience is exclusively with takeout, which is the only service offered currently. Weve found that the food at HK Wong is the freshest and most consistently good of spots we have tried in Dartmouth. Their dinners and plates are good value and have plenty of food. The other day we ordered a dinner for 4 plus some extra egg rolls and spring rolls and an extra entree and there was enough for leftovers, even with seconds! Speaking of spring rolls, do yourself a favor and GET THEM. Theyre remarkably crispy! Their egg rolls are a bit different, with a uniquely curry flavour, and very tasty. The only dish I havent enjoyed there is their ribs, but I havent generally been impressed with ribs from Chinese places around here.

Always loved the food, but the last few times we were there the heat was not working, tonight we went in and there was a terrible smell!! I asked the waitress who was fully clothed in her winter jacket and scarf which I found kinda unclean why is there a bad smell , she told me its the propane, and my son had told me it smelled like exhaust, so he was right!! To sit and eat food in a cold restaurant with the smell of gases enough to make you dizzy, I can no longer give a good review, health authoritys should be looking into this

First time... Never again. All i wanted was some chicken wings and 2 egg rolls to go.. These wings were cooked in old grease that taste awful and my egg rolls were cold and a disgusting paste... I dont even want to give it one star ffs.... Dont go here

The food is good here. Their heat was off on Friday and they several heaters trying to keep the restaurant warm. Have eaten here several tinea and the food is always hot and tasty.

Ate here for the first time and the spring rolls and beef and broccoli were very good. I was very disappointed with the Cantonese Chow Mein. it was tasty but I doubt if there was more than one scallop in the dish. They were sliced so thin, they looked like water chestnuts. When I complained I was just told there was other meat in it. Not the point, if you say there is scallops, shrimp, chicken and barbeued pork and are charging as such, then you should at least have 3 - 4 scallops which are recognizable.

Always excellent! If Im in the mood for Chinese food, this is by far the best place to go. The food is exceptionally good, with great taste, generous portions, and good prices. The service is wonderful, with staff being friendly and pleasant. Ive recommended this comfortable and clean restaurant to many friends, and have never been disappointed by any meal Ive had there.

Good food, with standard canadian Chinese menu items. Staff are friendly and fast. I would recommend calling in your order before arrival for takeout. It has a very small waiting room for order pickup.

Save your money. It was mediocre at best. I liked the hair in the beef dish (mmmmm) and the rice cooked in a oil so old it tasted burnt. On the good side my dog still ate the rice. I wasn t sure she would eat it.

Decided on a combo plate with honey garlic spare ribs. The staff was very friendly and fast. Food to our table was very prompt .The plate was good sized and solid value. The rice was very good , spare ribs has tons of meat and was tender The egg roll was very tasty. Very impressed. Ill be going back to try more from the menu.

Best Chinese food in Dartmouth hands down.. servings are well done for what you pay, which is very reasonable. Never feel sick after and as a celiac this is a big deal. Orders are done fast, accurate and hot.

Very fast, hot meal! Space was on the warmer side - air-conditioning? Egg rolls not typical ingredients. Chicken balls very good. Rice just plain with no added ingredients like green onions, bean sprouts, etc. Place was quite busy for a Sunday.

First time here. Staff alright. Had a glass that had lipstick on it. Recieved my meal and didnt care for the spring roll, asked to get an egg roll and was told I had to pay extra. I found the food didnt have much flavor.

All take out I had from them were only as good as fast food manchu wok. The food tasted like it is fresh from the microwave. Though the serving was big but they were always too salty! Their carpet is filthy. The server at times friendly and at times stand offish.

We ordered $50 worth of food, delivered. Mongolian Beef and chicken fried rice was good, as well as the fried wontons. Honey garlic ribs were tough and not very flavorful, sweet and sour chicken was very tough and the chicken to batter ratio was way off. The batter was very thick with a small piece of tough chicken in the middle. Beef and broccoli and chicken chow mein were good but nothing to write home about. All in all, we were delivered what we had ordered and felt we got plenty of food for the price but quality was subpar.
