Namaste and Welcome to My Recipe, a place for authentic Indian Multi-Cuisine. Since 2015, we have proudly introduced food like Vada Pav, Dabeli, and Frankie through social events and catering services in Halifax. Now we are back with more cuisine giving you a perfect homely feeling. Our menu brings you, smoky taste, Indian street food, morning snacks, and many more. Your love brought us here! A warm welcome to everyone.
Terrible service. Poor food. Expensive in comparison to what they offer. Ordered Paneer Makhani and Garlic naan. After I was served the food, I wanted to ask for salt n chaat masala no one was there, waited and called on the reception for 5 mins, went back to my table still no one. Then went to the kitchen to ask for salt and more naan. By the time my food was cold. Naan was pre-cooked/readymade just lightly toasted and served not at all crispy or hot. Paneer Makhani was 3/10 they put leftover paneer looked like as some cubes were fried and others were not and different cut. Ordered onions on side, menu mentions comes with chaat masala, lime but was just a mix of random cut regular and vinegar onion and no lime no chaat masala (wasn’t even there in the restaurant).
I recently dined here and it was a delightful experience for a vegetarian food lover like me! The Veg Manchurian was an absolute masterpiece—perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Best in halifax.
Unfortunately we couldn’t get the two foods we went there for! Chicken lollipop and chilli chicken. And there were not much of appetizers choices. However, the ambience and services were top notch. I wouldn’t complain about the food either. Definitely a good Place to try.
Extremely small portions and pretty flavourless food! $20 Manchurian is just chewy dough balls... No veggies or spice in the batter. Hakka noodles are basically salty Maggie noodles...
We ordered Chicken Biryani,Mutton Biryanis and the veg combo. It was delicious and good quantity.
I really don’t why there is lack of honest review in our society. I regret to say that my dining experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. The noodles I ordered were swimming in an ocean of salt, rendering them practically inedible, and to add insult to injury, the entire meal arrived at my table cold. The balti paneer and naan were equally disappointing; the paneer was undercooked, and the naan was so doughy it might as well have been raw. To top it off, it seemed like the chef had forgotten to actually cook the spices, leaving them gritty and unpleasant. Overall, it was a culinary catastrophe that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. Customer service was stupid, no was caring if you need anything
I ordered butter chicken and kadhai paneer both chicken and paneer doesn’t taste like it supposed too, more then that it looks like both dipped in tomato sauce😂 worst taste🤮. Than the thing they call butter naan they need to learn more because their butter naan looks like tawa roti which they are selling for $3.00 each and that tawa roti was not even fresh also tasteless. Gulab jamun you can see their picture on menu as well as under my review you will understand what i want to tell you guys. #wasteofmoney #wasteoftime # Tastelessfood
The food is great. I liked everything i ordered here. I had a frankie, chowmein noodles, manchurian. It all had the authentic street food taste. The prices are good compared to other places. I wish they had a branch in Halifax as well so I don’t have to drive all the way to Dartmouth. The interior is beautiful and reminds me on indian living rooms.
Chicken lollipop was mixed colour combination , maybe they mixed old and new batch together for the reason tasty was so bad
Everything was great. Service was friendly. I tried Vadapau and dabeli. Will be back for sure.
Great service and food was amazing
Food is good. Meals may be prepared at various levels of spice to fit your taste. Staff is very friendly. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.
Good
Absolutely the best Indian food in all of Halifax and Dartmouth area! I tried them all and this place is the best. The butter sauce is amazing.
Best Indian food in all Nova Scotia, I ve tired all restaurants to food trucks all across Nova Scotia, this is by far the best Indian cuisine place to go
had a wonderful meal.....interacted with pleasant staff ...great place for excellent food !
Food is delicious the portions are small need to work on that and you guys will be golden! The girl working at front is a sweetheart !
Today i came to pick the order for take out a dabeli and vadapav i just asked for ketchup and the women who was at front told me we charge for ketchup as well and the way she told was very very rude i am sharing this because anywhere you go ketchup is free and she was so arrogant never going to visit this restaurant again
Just visited at here and ordered chole bhature. Although the taste is ok but bhatura is tiny than my expectations. Please give some complain or horlicks to bhature to increment it s growth. Thanks Food
Today i ordered some food for take out the front reception girl was so rude with my friend who picked the order for me she was not polite at all and whatever he asked she didn t provide appropriate answers so disrespectful not going to come here again
Food
Had a pretty bad experience. Right from taste to overall dining experience. Went for their special menu, Chicken combo. Chicken felt like it was boiled in plain unsalted water and added to a random red curry. Choley were tasteless too. I dont recommend this place.
Best Indian food in HRM. Curries that taste of something other than VH Sobeys sauces and the chef (Nona) knows how to balance spice with flavour. Biryani that is perfectly cooked and proper naan flatbreads unlike some other locations that I wont mention in Dartmouth. Cant recommend enough.
Love this place! Chicken Korma is to DIE for!
I bought a chicken biriyani and green chicken curry. However the Biriyani was very disappointing and salty.
Great food
Just ordered 1 Noodle burger for $7.99 and there was no Tomato/ onions in it. It was a plain bun with noodles in it. If I wanted to eat only noodles, I would have order chowmein with a on side bun not a burger!! Please save your money and go to a better restaurant!
It was really good experience to have food in this restaurant. Everyone should visit this place once.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan options. Food
The food was the best I ve had so far in Halifax, also the service was good by Shruti, I highly to check this place out.
The food was incredibly delicious, and despite our late arrival at the restaurant, the server kindly allowed us to be seated and enjoy our meal.
The Biryani is so flavourful and the tastes I had of the lamb meals were delicious too. Great Spice!
Hadnt had this restaurant in a few months, wanted to give it a shot again, extremely disappointed, the portion size has been reduced significantly since I last ate there, the butter chicken combo comes with butter Naan & not garlic Naan, Unfortunately I didnt notice until after I ordered. For regular butter chicken, it was over spiced and drowned out any other flavor of the dish. This used to be my go-to for butter chicken. Its not likely Ill have it anytime soon again.
Best Indian I ve had in Halifax. Service is prompt and the food is delicious.
So glad we found this place in Dartmouth! My husband and I went for a Chicken Korma, etc. it was as perfect. We had, onion Pakora, also perfect. It was all very good. We had another couple with us who had different things, they were very happy and said they would certainly come with us again. The waitress ( Shutti) ? I think her name is. Well she was so polite, and friendly, and very helpful. We will certainly make this place our new go to when we want East Indian cuisine. I found out from the waitress they have only been there for 3 years. Great food, Perfect service Lovely staff. Vegetarian options: There are some for sure. Never really paid attention to it. Parking: It is not a problem weekends or evenings, as the lot next store is not used at those times apparently. Wheelchair accessibility: Well I don t use a wheelchair but I can see no reason why you couldn t as there are no steps or stairs, all flat right in from sidewalk.
I ordered from uber eats , in my life i never ever test this kind of worst food there is only water in veg combo in curry and also the rice which i get with onions is like 2 days old one i already tell them to add sauce on dabli but it is like dry fully dry I never ever try the food also i want to complain to food quality inspector as well to check food quality of your restaurant Very disappointed guys
Provide superstore naans not the fresh one
Lamp Biriyani, Smoke house Green Chicken with Tawa chapathi are favourite. Its so
Absolutely Loved the food, especially the Manchurian. Great atmosphere for family with mellow vibes. Feels like youre having your meal in India.
The Lamb Curry was excellent!
The new Lamb dishes like Rogan Josh and Lamb Chettinad are an absolute delight. Lamb was extremely tender and in decent quantity. Curries were extremely rich and flavorful. I also tried their Chicken Lollipop which is basically crispy fried chicken wings but with a deep flavor of wonderful spices. It came with a mint chutney. I loved it. I will try the Prawn dishes next.
Nann was trash, its not even proper nann. Its like a soft tortilla
Had great food! Loved the Manchurian. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options
I am a big fan of seafood curries, and the Prawn Malabari I had here is second to none in HRM. I also found the Lamb Rogan Josh to be incredibly tasty with really tender lamb. I had both curries with Jeera Rice which had a hint of parsley and lots of smoky cumin. I also really enjoyed the Samosa, which I was told are made in-house. We also ordered Onion Pakora, Chicken 65 and Chicken Lollipop for the table and they were all great appetizers. This was only my second visit but I will be back soon to try more their menu.
Worst experience i ever had in my life.
Lamb roghan josh try the new dish its very good . Also the service was good as well . Food : 5/5
For me it been my first time in nova scotia that i like this restaurant and the lamb curry been my favourite one here and staff treated us in the good way
I always had problems with food being spicy despite of being asked to make it less spicy. This time I placed order on uber eats and specifically asked for very less spicy but the spice was level was too much this time. We were not even able to complete the food, it was a total waste of money and food. Please check the notes for the orders
I pay for matar panner . But they give me Allu matar and also the chapati was uncooked and I found. 2 hair in dal makhni
I used to frequent this restaurant due to its previously commendable service and quality. However, my recent experience have been disappointing. Not only has the taste deteriorated, but the portion sizes in their combo meals have noticeably shrunk. During my last visit with friends, despite ordering vegetarian curry, they served chicken and we realized it was chicken only after having to take a few bites. This oversight was not only embarrassing but also unacceptable. They did try to make it up by serving tiny portion of sweets but regrettably, their response lacked sincerity; there were no genuine apologies. Such lackluster service and disregard for customer satisfaction ensure that I may never visit here again.
I Was served chicken when i ordered paneer saag. Its okay mistakes happen, i understand but their reaction afterwards was not apologetic at all. They were like oh sorry i ll change the plates for you. Then we were served the new food but nobody there gave us the plates for another 5-10 minutes. Apparently we were the only table there. So, it wasn t even busy. So yeah that was my experience of eating chicken first time in my lifetime. Thank you
Food- taste keeps changing every time you visit And not always the taste is up to mark. Last visit they served us non veg food instead of veg although it wasn t that busy during the time we visited. Moreover, their apology was so cold like it wasn t a big deal. Please make sure to check your food before you eat, specifically vegetarian people.
I ordered takeout, including pav bhaji and burgers, with a total cost of $57. However, upon reaching home and starting to eat, we realized that the order only contained one pav in the $13 plate. We promptly called the restaurant, initially being told it was a mistake and asked to pick up the missing pav. Strangely, 10 minutes later, they called again, saying not to bother coming as they charge extra for pav. This was a bizarre and unprofessional customer service experience.
My Husband & I have gone here on a few occasions. The food is always good. Our favourite is the Veg/Chicken Frankie. The Jumbo Dabeli is also really good. The service is good, very friendly. The atmosphere is good, quiet, very relaxing. Would highly recommend!
Fantastic food calm environment and great service
Finding this gem of a spot has made me so happy. The chef creates such an interesting mix of flavours. We dined in and had the non veg combo with a creamy Chicken Korma . Chana Masala and Chow Mein Hakka noodle ( reminded me of Malsala Wok in Edmonton). The nan melted in our mouthes. Our server was very attentive and gently offered suggestions for dessert. OMG try the mango kulfi and the creamy rice pudding. Going back soon to try more street food selections. Yum
Very nice,must visit
delicious food & good customer service
Excellent food, friendly staff, highly recommended.
We ordered Garlic Naan for take out. Had to give this review specially for the Naan as it was the best we have had in town so far. Making Indian bread is a art and surely they have the best artist in town. Will be back to try more dishes.
Truly enjoyed the food Fresh, authentic, and really good service plus ambience Street food must try.
Very, good kind of weirdly expensive but not too bad for how delicious the food is.
Highly recommended!! Tasteful fresh nicely plated good environment . Walkable distance from the bridge terminal and double tree hotel!! Ordered a non veg combo very economical!!!
Yummy.
The servers were very nice and helpful. The veggie samosas were very good. However, the buttered chicken was a bit watery and was too sweet. It wasnt what I was used to when having buttered chicken. The rice was good, and the chicken was okay. Overall it was okay. Im dont think it would be my first choice of Indian, I prefer Tawa Grill. However everyones tastes are different.
They were nice, but my card was charged and then refunded then recharged which was annoying... and the butter chicken was not what I was used to. I didnt mind it but, I would not recommend or return. The Samosa was good though
The food quality was great, ordered panner balti, paav bhaji & veg Manchurian. Altho the Manchurian could be improved. ( perhaps less crunchy?)
Best customer service!! We Ordered Paneer balti combo but got chicken balti by mistake. So I called the restaurant and got a really good response from them, instead of making excuses they did their best and delivered the right order to us with complimentary mango lassi. It was such a great experience and the way they handle the situation was overwhelming. Their Hakka noodles are best in the town!!
This is my second day on vacation in Halifax, and this Indian restaurant was so good that I was thinking of coming to live here forever just to be able to eat at this place. Thank you, guys, for this beautiful culinary experience
Worst Manchurian!! Not about the taste but it is not honest to serve bread manchurian in the name of veg manchurian! Seriously dissatisfied and disappointed. Veg noodles were fine though.
The experience was awful. Chicken Biriyani can be described as a handful rice and two leg pieces. Ended up ordering another biriyani to satisfy the appetite. Not worth for money.
They are amazing. Friendly staff and very tasty food. This is our go to place for dabeli, vada pav And Indo chinese food craving and they never let us down. Highly recommended.
I found the Manchurian very hard to chew it didnt had any veggies inside it like cabbage/carrot seems like made with a hard dough, also had very less gravy in it . Server was polite n place is also nice but food is average.
One of the best authentic Indian food in Halifax. Jumbo Vada pav was highlight superb Customer service. Delicious food Highly recommend
I order Manchurian I asked for little spicy but they made it super spicy . Even hard to eat it so, I throw it . I used to eat there for tasty food but now I will never do order from here. Really disappointed.
Always a pleasure eating here. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly.
The staff is so so friendly and nice. The food is always so delicious and yummy .
Very good quality home-like indian food. Must try dine in as well as take out. Chicken biryani and curries are best!
ordered Hakka on uber, and sadly it was not good at all.Looked and tasted like mr.noodles/maggie noodles. I moved from Toronto so I have been spoiled by good food. This definitely disappointed us. 12.99 for such a small portion and no taste.
Had the Smokehouse Green Chicken and was blown away. Ive eaten at many, many Indian restaurants throughout Canada and this dish was something totally original and utterly delicious. Service was excellent. Prices are absurdly reasonable for the portions and quality. Highly recommended. Will absolutely be back.
They have best indian food in the town and awesome quick service.
I ordered chicken biryani for takeout. Tasteless food. Chicken was not well cooked. Quantity is ok but quality is poor.
Wow!! I was blown away by the flavors of my dish tonight. It was PERFECTLY spiced! Huge portion sizes and at a screaming price. Anytime I am craving Indian I will definitely be coming here. 10/10
I had first time visit at My Recipe Indian Multi Cuisine and it was so great the place was clean and felt good vibe. The food tasted so great the curry (kadhai paneer) was awesome. Everything was 10/10.
What an incredible Smoke House Green Chicken !! I read someones review and ordered this and what an amazing taste !! Food
The jumbo vada pav is amazinggggg....Great service and lots of options if you want to try Indian Street food. They are expanding their menu to include more items but I am sure it will be amazing as well.
First time trying this spot tonight, but won t be my last. Everything we had was really good, fresh and flavourful! Ordered for pickup, I was early but they have comfy chairs to wait. My order was ready on time. Three of us shared the chicken biryani, smokehouse green chicken, and the chicken balti with garlic naan and jeera rice. We are all full and leftovers for lunch tomorrow! So glad to find this spot look forward to eating in next time as the dining area looked very nice.
Worst naan and dahi very bad food quantity
Good food.. great taste.. and service was okay too.. the music could be better but who cares.. I was there for the food and it did not disappoint me at all.. Aloo Tikki burger was my personal Favorite.. next time I would want to try their Frankie. Food
We hosted our event at the restaurant. Prachi, Miten and their whole team took great care of everything for the event like it was their family event. The guest were happy with the ambiance, setup of the restaurant and delicious food. Will definitely recommend this place to host for a small event or get together or dine in. Great care was taken from hospitality to quality of the food.
I loved the food. The chicken biryani is the best I ve had since i came here. anyways i would suggest this restaurant if u love Indian food.
Clean efficient and tasty. They re only protein offerings are chicken but don t let that dismay you. The chicken jalfrezzi what is some of the best Curry I ve ever had. Don t sleep on the naan bread. Service is attentive, but a little slow. It s really a one person operation at the counter so I don t fault them for that. When you see certain members of the same ethnicity as the food streaming in to the restaurant, you know you hit the nail on the head. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Parking: Ample parking Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids to Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair friendly
We have tried vegetarian food Gobi Manchurian, Vada Pav and Dhabeli. Honestly, I did not like the taste of gobi Manchurian because the Manchurian balls was unsalted and without black pepper or spices, although the gravy was good. Vada Pav was good to make it better I would suggest they should add the chutney on the inner side of both buns. The best is Dhabeli and it taste was little spicy and awesome.
Nice service, ambience, nice vada pav, masala tea, fusion omelet pav, spl chicken wrap. Thank you for the good & tasty food.
So disappointed with butter chicken. I can make better at my home seriously I m sooooo upset u guys need to change chef. Invite me one day i will show u how to make butter chicken.
Although food was ok, the portions for what you pay in my opinion was extremely conservayive. Weve eaten at many restauraunts of this type and found ourselves leaving hungry. even rice which is a simple staple item was less than half of a cup (cooked) which seems rather ridiculous. Even chicken was practically all bone and sauce and virtually no meat. And all for $40... would not recommend simply because of very unreasonable portions at this location as its very clear they do everything to keep portions highly reserved.
Best Vadapav and Dabeli in the city.
They take time but food was awesome
Honestly, food taste is not upto the mark and the quantity is too less for the price
Bakwas restaurant, when i ate food, i saw hair in chapati .
Please don t waste your money. Chicken 65: I paid $12 on chicken 65 and check picture for the quantity. It felt like a rubber was very hard to chew. Butter chicken and butter naan: garbage Spent $37 for this food.
Food was delicious and customer service as well. It was very fast service.
i had butter chicken and garlic naan. So ,garlic naan is not garlic naan and butter chicken is not butter chicken. Stop making fool of people.
Worst food ever, they put SUGAR in the Paneer Makhani gravy and it tasted worst and old, even Dal was old and tasteless, Garlic Naan was uncooked and pathetic, please order from this restaurant if you want to waste your hard earned money, I wasted around cad70!!!! I know they will not bother as not much options here for indian restaurants!!!
Best customer service and the best food
Very delicious food. Great Ambience. Lovely and clean space to dine in. Highly recommend for a yummy dinning experience!
The manchurian was tasteless, unsalted and doesnt taste as manchurian. No serving spoons were provided. Noodles were awfull in look and taste. waste of money!! Spring roll were frozen worst customer service Not recommended atall. Vegetarian options: Awfull in taste
We ordered this evening and our food was amazing! Best Indian food we have ever had. Thank you!
**EDITED after their response, as you can see they dont take feedback** My food was absolutely 100% microwaved...will never go back. Defensive management with the inability to receive any constructive feedback. Save yourself a trip and check out better managed restaurants. Went there yesterday evening and it was just ok, The people who served us were friendly. The restaurant was quiet and we could hear the microwave beep 3 times (coincidentally we were served 3 dishes that were heated to lava temperatures) and we were served within 5 minutes of arriving. Im sure it would have been better if we werent basically served microwave reheated leftovers. It was 23$ for one combo which for the quality is honestly disappointing. Its also very off putting reading the reviews and seeing the owners respond with people love our food responses in defense everytime instead of just taking the feedback, As im sure this review will be defended the same. The food was just ok but not worth the charge for reheated quality. All in all the food was not terrible but we definitely wont be back when there are so many different Indian cuisine restaurants that dont microwave blast the food to death.
The food just taste amazing.. i ordered samosa chat. Appetisers taste like street food. Will visit soon on my birthday next week.
Amazing Indian street food! Really really well prepared!
They absolutely deserve 5 stars. The food was the bestest ever we had in HRM. Especially their Manchurian.
Awsome food and interior ...
Really grate experience, staff very extra mile for costumer service. Food was really good and authentic.
Good place n nice taste
So good! Affordable! Super friendly service
Most authentic Indian food I ve ever had. Very flavorful and exciting menu.
This place makes me genuinely happy to have tastebuds. The food is always so flavorful and perfectly spiced. They have a great selection. Must try if you havent!
Best food fresh food unique taste! The location is amazing and the view from it is mesmerizing! Must try
Indian food ,nice place
Best butter chicken and Manchurian i ever had. Highly recommend. It is definitely worth your wait
Food Is yumm and worth it..Must Try Masala Tea and Noodles
I have been here twice both time got the Dum Chicken Biryani. First time it was good but second visit was terrible. The biryani I got was too greasy and had a bad smell of old oil. Do not recommend the biryani.
Amazing food with really nice atmosphere! We went there for dinner and our experience there was awesome. Can t wait to go back to this place again :)
It was a very delish and marvelous dinner! The staff was very friendly and everything was perfect. We enjoyed a lot and we will come back soon!!
We ordered 3 dishes - butter chicken, chicken biryani and a noodle dish. **Delicious flavor! but WAY TOO SPICY!! We can handle some spice but this is next level I wish it was noted on the menu because we couldnt eat our supper and it wasnt cheap. I would order again but definitely ask for NO SPICE next time unbelievable flavor though
Was very pleased with the food and service. Biryani was flavourful and had a perfect amount of spices. Restaurant setting was very clean and modern. Refreshing to see a nice Indian restaurant in Dartmouth. Highly recommend!
By far the best Manchurian ever! Just brings back to Indian street food memories!! We got the food catered for our family event. The naans were super soft, rice perfectly cooked, dal and sabji were very tasty. must recommended Indian restaurant in Halifax. Also veg frankie is a must try! I m surely to visit this place frequently. BIG KUDOS
They are my favourite people. So kind and thoughtful. Best place for Indian food
Only eat there once, taste was good
I usually just order offline, so you cant take my word for the setting, but the food? Oh my GOSH the foods amazing! You get your moneys worth and more, and the food always smells utterly delectable.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Large portions for the price point. Authentic and tasty cuisine. Clean seating area, lots of room.
Best Food and amazing customer service
Ordered the Ragada Samosa Chat. 5 starts for the quantity and packing. Friendly staff. The taste was not bad at all. The only thing, in my opinion, is the peas could have been cooked a litter longer. I felt it a little on the harder side. Will be going back to try the other items on the menu.
Vegetarian options: Lot of vegetarian options
Great Indian street food in NOVA SCOTIA and also very good customer service with clean and hygiene place. Must visit once
Amazing restaurant! Definitely the best Indian Cuisine restaurant I have been to in the Halifax-Dartmouth area. It has freshly-made authentic food, which is great when dining in or for takeout. I always get the smokehouse green chicken and some garlic naans (because they are just amazing), but I also love the dal makhani and mango lassi. The dry veg manchurian recommended by the owner was also delicious!
We visited this place twice now and we tried manchurian again they were over fried. The quantity of sabji, manchurian and noodles was great according to the prices but it the taste was not upto the mark. Taste Rates. Staff. Ambience Quantity
we ordered 2 subzis and it was really good. Id recommend this place to eat at.
Great food.
Not worth the price.
Amazing food and wonderful staff! So tasty and large portions. You won t be disappointed! Will definitely be back!
Food is really good .
Delicious Food felt like in Mumbai for a minute
One of the best Indian Restaurants in Halifax. They serve authentic Indian Street food (specially from Gujarat). Must try: Biryani Dabeli Vada Pau Manchurian Daal vada Absolutely hidden gem in Halifax and a dream come true for Gujaratis living in Halifax.
Delicious food and amazing ambient....
The 4 stars of my rating are all for the delicious vada pav.I thoroughly relished it at My Recipe restaurant. For the other readers, its my first time at this Indian restaurant but I do feel it has great potential to be one of the best places for all those who crave for Indian cuisine. Good customer service and well spaced layout. A must-try for Indian food lovers.
Vegetarian options: I always order Veg Manchurian, veg hakka noodles it s amazing Kid-friendliness: The place is soo spacious
I never expected such a delicious indian food in halifax, considering the quality and experiences from all the indian restaurants in halifax so far. My Recipe tops the chart in taste. I usually never write reviews but couldnt stop myself from writing one.
The best taste ever and tempting menu! The smokehouse green chicken and the veg maharaja are must try! And of course all the street food too! An awesome and mouth watering food! My recipe team, good job
This is an excellent option for Indian cuisine on this side of the city. My partner and I got an order of the Butter Chicken, Naan, Jeera Rice, and a Mango Lassi as our beverage. Everything was cooked to perfection; the Naan was warm and tore easily, the Butter Chicken had so much flavor and while I would not call this dish spicy it definitely brought some heat from the spices they used. The rice was an excellent side for after we devoured the Naan, and the Mango Lassi washed everything down with a refreshing, vibrant taste. Overall I would highly recommend you give this place a shot if you are craving Indian cuisine and you can bet we will be repeat customers for the foreseeable future
First order definately was a success, so flavourful and delicious. I ordered the Onion Pakoras Fritters, Butter Chicken combo came with Chana Masala, rice and naan, then had dessert Gulab Jamun. Yummy and large portions.
Tried their chicken frankie. It was delicious and fresh. Loved their service and presentation. Both quality and quantity was fantastic.
The staff is really friendly and suggested me to go with manchurian and veg franckie as per my need. It was great. Very unique taste and very fast service. Will definitely try alot more things from here.
Very nice Indian curry! Nice kick to it, fresh and full of flavour! Would def recommend, I will be going back
Just got this food for the first time today and it was amazing! So flavourful and fresh. It will be my new regular spot. Highly recommend!
Good food and if you are looking for a spot for great mango lassi This one is the must.
Excellent food, excellent service. The smokehouse green chicken and samosa chat are must tries. So happy with my meal tonight, cant wait to go back
This place is amazing, the Roma as soon as you entered the restaurant is so inviting.
Wooow amazing food great packaging loved it
Tasty food
I ordered manchurian and charcoal smoked chicken handi but to be honest it was quite disappointing experience as their chicken curry is so oily and flavourless but the manchurian definitely worth it to taste and is perfect quantity whereas to spent around 16$ for just 3 piece of chicken is worthless. Just for recommendations they should put some work on their recipe so at least curry can smell good.
Really great food and portions. Will be back for sure !
Sooooo good! Very happy to have this place in the neighbourhood. Cant wait to order again!
Best Indian cuisine since I have been in Canada. Highly Recommended.
Christmas on a plate- just amazing food!
Decided to try My Recipie out as its on the Dartmouth side and closer to home. Been open since May 1st however to me it shows that the chef has been cooking for quite some time. Everything I had during this visit was delishious. Butter chicken, garlic naan, ragda samosa chat, sum chicken Biryani, and Chana masala. Very reasonably priced food was hot and fresh and enjoyed talking with staff there. Highly recommended in my opinion and I will be back again and again to try out the delishious recipies.
Delicious food, big quantity, reasonable price, clean and hygienic place, polite response Enjoyed a lot
I was really surprised to find such a huge Vada Pav in Canada. The owner is really friendly and such a great hospitality.
Such good food!! The Ragda Samosa Chat and chai took me back to memories of eating street food on the side of the road in India!! My Recipe exceeded my expectations of finding an authentic Indian food restaurant in Halifax and I cannot wait to go back and try all of the food they have to offer!!
I ordered veg combo for dinner, which had dal makahani and malai kaju curry along with rice and Naan. It tastes amazing and decent portions. Definitely worth it.
Awesome food...great service. Must visit place for delicious Indian food.
Delicious food with good service
This food is the real deal. It tastes of India. Purely authentic and will Leave your mouth watering for more. So thrilled to have this in Dartmouth !!!
Great service and best indian authentic food in canada.
The food is really amazing. The quantity of the food is awesome. I really enjoyed the food. I recommend this restaurant for those who are missing Indian food. You should really try it out.
Absolutely amazing! I had the chicken handi, garlic naan, and rice. I saved some handi for today (hard to do), just so I can add it to rice later. You wont be disappointed, will definitely be back! Outstanding job gentlemen!
Wow! Such a delicious food. I really appreciate the hard work that goes in making such yummy platter! We ordered Manchurian, Biryani and paneer curry which was awesome. I will definitely recommend this place. There are lot of vegetarian options which I like more and definitely food is very authentic and connects you to the traditional flavours, spices and presentation. The quantity for the price is definitely a take away. I am definitely going back whenever I crave for authenticity and variety, Good luck to the hard working couple, though being short staffed for preparing food on time not compromising in quality and taste,
Weakest in the city , base curry is somewhat bland , when I asked for their most popular dish they recommended the veggie maharaja- which ended up being frozen peas , carrots and beans dumped in their curry for 15$ ?! I asked for your most popular curry not the one with 1000% markup.
I ordered Briyani today it was so awesome well seasoned and the lazzi was yummy and thick. Extremely nice service. Will definitely go back for more.
Got the veg maharaja combo. The food is beautiful and tastes even better than it looks. Best South Asian place in the city. Highly recommend. Can t wait for the dining room to open the atmosphere is lovely
I got the Smokehouse Green Curry, with Rice/naan and Dal Mahkani. It was the best Indian meal I have ever had! Amazing flavour, especially the curry. If you live in Dartmouth or north end Halifax, definitely try this place out!
Food was fantastic and the owners are very pleasant. Would highly recommend the Smoke House Green Chicken!
Absolutely loved your food with perfect flavours and consistency. Gulab jamun is a must try for sure!
Only try at your own risk. The food is so good that you wouldnt stop eating. You are bound to over-eat as you wont be able to get enough of it. Every bite will leave you craving for me. Hard working people delivering great food. Gulaab Jammun are a must try. Those soft balls with a perfect and balanced taste of cardamom will take your tongue on a roller coaster.
Authentic vadapav and dabeli I have ever had. Gonna try their chicken hariyali soon.
I had Smokehouse Green Chicken curry, and Dum Chicken Biryani. The curry was so delicious it left me speechless. And the dum biryani was different than what I usually eat but it was really well cooked with tender chicken. The hospitality is highly appreciated. Over all, a great restaurant and I would go back to have some more mind blowing food.
Got the Smokehouse green chicken here. The curry was rich and flavoursome. Everything about the dish was just the best. However, I thought 18-19 dollars(without the tip) for just a curry was a bit on the expensive side. Service was great and the owners are really friendly and great to talk to.
We just found our new favourite Indian restaurant. Food was great. Tried the jumbo vada pav s ( never had before) they were spicy delish!
Expensive but not as I expected the quality
I bought the curry chicken combo so I could share with my husband. He didn t get any cause I ate it all. It was so good! The garlic naan was so soft and warm. The curry sauce was so flavourful and aromatic. Will definitely be ordering again.
A very great restaurant. I really loved the manchurian and veg Biryani I got. A perfect Indian restaurant in HRM area!!
Smokehouse green chicken curry has no taste. First time went there after reading so many good reviews but not sure if these are paid reviews (Im sorry to say this). Naans are ok too. Good Customer service tho!
