I recently visited the Can-indian kitchen restaurant and ordered steamed momos. The dumplings were perfectly steamed with a delightful mix of flavours in the filling. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I will definitely visit again!!!
Super helpful, delicious spicy biryani, a little bony but a lot to it, very good portion for $10.
I was disappointed with my delivery experience and wouldn't highly recommend it. It might be my mistake to think this similar to Indian Afghan restaurant in Saudi Arabia. Specifically, the Afghan chicken dish was underwhelming, with 5 pieces, of which 2 were wings and 2 were bones, leaving me wonder if this is the norm of this dish. The photos at the website don't match the photos I attached. The chicken curry came spicy instead of mild. The chicken was not fully cooked. It doesn't taste like curry. The chicken moms were too garlicky. This is an Indian dish, I mistakenly thought it the famous Afghan Manto. It wasn't. I didn't like the taste and texture of the grounded chicken. I paid $ 60 for these 3 dishes. I wonder if Uber Eat is making huge mark-up. When I checked the website the prices are 50% less!:( I wish the management all the best.
I came upon this $10 Indian kitchen by accident. The food was prepared fresh so takes some time to prepare, but definitely worth the wait. So delicious! And good price. The sign on the shop says Downtown Pizza. Don't be fooled. It does sell an interesting array of pizzas - tandoori chicken for example (will try another day). The Can-Indian Kitchen menu is not extensive but we ordered 3 items and all were excellent.
Best steamed momos I ever had in Nova Scotia. Customer service was very good. The girl at cash was very kind . They have a lot of cuisine with only $10. Highly recommended!
So, first of all, let me start with the Momos, it’s been so long since I had the authentic taste of Momos the last time I had something like that was in the Delhi chanakyapuri and the moment you took the first bite with the right sauces mix of mayo, and schezwan Momo sauce you’ll know this is totally worth it. I give 10/10 for this and strongly recommend to try the Momos. They are totally authentic. Just like what we used to have in Delhi. Now the next one the chicken biryani, it was very well made with the well balanced spices not too hot not to bland perfectly good comes with the side salan or you can say side sauce had enough chicken in it and had really good spice mix for Biryani. I’ll recommend that to 10 out of 10. Last but not the least was the tiramisu. They have just introduced that and they give it to as a complimentary. You can see that in the picture it’s made from scratch like how you used to get in a really great Italian restaurant I’ll strongly recommend the owner to put that on the menu And that is for sure please give it a try if you have a sweet tooth like me. 10/10 loved ittt. The place is right in Dartmouth where you see the downtown Pizza that’s where they are located just beside the McDonald
After trying many Indian restaurants in the Halifax area, I tried the Can Indian Kitchen’s AMAZING Chicken Biryani and DELICIOUS Chicken Curry with rice. It took me straight back to my childhood. My mother puts so much love and care into our meals and somehow I felt that here.. it made my visit so special and I don’t think I have seen anyone give this much chicken in every dish at an Indian restaurant! Great hospitality, squeaky clean ambience, and delicious meals at a very reasonable price. Hard to beat anything like this in the area. I already told the owners that they should sign me up as a regular customer. Thank you guys, my parents and I loved it!

Great pizza with great deals
I have ordered tandoori chicken from this restaurant. This is the worst tandoori chicken I have ever eaten. There was no masala. And the taste was awfull. Please try to look for the right tandoori recipe and not make your customers fool by givibg this awful chicken

Had a great experience, the owners were very welcomeing. Service was Amazing. Really enjoyed the food. Menu choices were nicely explained, as it was my first time to enjoy Indian cuisine. Prices were very budget friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. I absolutely plan on going back!
My wife and i stopped at the newest location on quinpool rd on opening day,the owners make you feel like family and the food was amazing. The homemade mint sauce was really tasty. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone of my friends or family. Amazing job guys!!!!

Went here to try Momos for the 1st time ever. I had heard about them, but many Indian Restaurants dont have them on their menus. Was very happy to see these on the Quinpool rd. locations menu. They were delicious and I will definitely get them again. I tried the fried ones that came with a hot red sauce which was tasty. Menu is small, but priced very affordable
Couldn t give any other rating but 5 stars. Tried chicken steamed Momo, kebabs and tandoori. Everything is 10 on 10 but kebabs are my favourite! Super juicy, chicken was tender and so flavourful. Will surely visit again super soon. Excited to try other menu items and desi pizzas. Food

My visit to The Can Indian restaurant was amazing. The food was delicious and authentically prepared. Steamed chicken momos were amazing and the best momos I have ever had in Halifax. The service was prompt and courteous, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I appreciate the quantity because it was fit for price and the staff was also friendly.
The food was absolutely delicious and reminded me of the Indian meals I have had in India. Staff was amicable and fast, and the time they took to cook the meals was worth the wait.

3 days back we moved to Halifax with family..we all are super hungry..I ordered 3 biryanis in this restaurant through skip the dishes..delivery time is 60 minutes after long wait we got each parcel 2 chicken pieces along with 3 spoons of rice in each box.moreover rice is half cooked..one of the worst biryani we ever had..I just want to give 0 stars however it s not available in review..trust me my 7 yrs old kid ate 3 boxes of rice and he started crying bcoz he never had enough food..very bad experience never ever again..

My wife and I went for supper and both of us left literally licking our fingers... It was so so awesome. I had Chicken Biryani and my wife Veg Momos along with a slice of veg pizza. Every dish we had was so tasty. And economical too. Worth visiting again and again. Very friendly and courteous staff. Good luck and all the best guys. Keep it up!!

This is such a great place for Indian food. Its worth the wait as the food is fresh and extremely tastey. Highly recommnend this as a great place for Indian take out. I had the chicken tikka and chicken momos... both were AMAZING. And the chicken biryani was fantastic. I cant recommend this place enough.
Wow wow wow. My wife and I went for Indian food and all I can say is absolutely outstanding. The flavors are wonderful. Some spicy and some mild but all outstanding. I cant wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

All the momos lovers, we have a great spot finally. The steamed momos are truly authentic and yummy with amazing red chutney. I ordered both steamed and fried, probably the best momos Ive had ever. The chicken biryani has amazing authentic taste with great flavours. Highly recommend this kitchen to all for their genuinely good indian dishes.

Their chicken curry is the best i have ever had . I also tried their chicken kebabs . i found both to be slightly too hot for me but both my son and husband enjoyed it . Very reasonable at $10 for the combo .Their rice is very well made . not sticky like some places

This has been one of the tastiest Indian food I have had since moving to Halifax. The momos very great appetizer. The taste was to the point and very homely. Loved the afghani chicken and Twinkle and Rahul have been great at providing genuine suggestions about their food products. To add cherry on the top Tiramisu was great to have as a dessert. Will definitely recommend to other friends.

Absolutely delicious! Stopped in with my wife on limb & noticed the Indian menu... we were not disappointed. We had the Chicken Tikka with rice, the right amount of spice and their home made yogurt sauce is to die for! Highly recommend
The menu provides some traditional homemade Indian dishes. The food is really fresh and home cooked, it really is. We wanted Indian level of spice, so they made it as per requirement. The prices and amount of food was reasonable to us. This will be my go to place when i fell lazy to cook in the cold dark days.
