Love this pizza place, it’s actually one of my favourites when I’m on the Dartmouth side. I always get the poutine with cheddar cheese with every order and they have no problem switching instead of curds. The staff are nice and the owner is exceptional! I had one small very small problem with my order only one time and he happened to be there he was so understanding and nice he fixed everything and I left a happy camper ! I was astonished at how he handled it, I would recommend Alexander pizza in Woodside, Dartmouth anytime !!
I ordered from Alexandra’s Pizza in Woodside for the first time recently, and it was such a great experience. The staff were super friendly when I called, and my order was ready right on time, which I really appreciated. It’s not often that everything about an order goes so smoothly, but this one definitely did. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again.

I don’t normally give reviews. I figured it’s a waste of energy as everyone has different experiences. However I placed an order for pick up. I stood behind a lady who was laughing and telling the employees about her day. I figured she just knew the employee. When I was my turn, I felt welcomed and cared for. These days it is rare to see someone engaging with customers and providing recommendations. Food was delicious I ordered two medium pizzas, a Donair and garlic fingers. We laughed about the different types of sauces. We can have with garlic fingers, and this was a pleasant experience. They have made a new customer out of me!
If you’re considering ordering online I’d say drop by first and see how dirty the place is. I left there a short time ago without my order. Guy working by himself taking phone calls, handling cash and making food. He had an earpiece in and was speaking to an acquaintance the entire time other than stopping to take phone orders. He fiddled with his earpiece along with dealing with cash and not once did he was his hands. He acknowledged I was there and knew my phone order, appeared to have made my food but never brought it to me. I approached the cash and he ignored me so I left. I was there for around 15 min and arrived later than it was supposed to be ready. I called Revana’s and my order was ready by the time I arrived. I see the business often replied to comments but I really don’t know what they can say. Place needs a major upgrade and cleaning and more staff obviously. Not to crap on the one guy trying to keep things moving but put your phone away and wash your hands !
Waited an hour and half, didn't receive what I ordered and when I tried to get a remake or a refund the man hung up before I could ask how long it would be for the remade order - when I called back he said 45 minutes to an hour (which is what he said the first time I called) he also said he's the only one there, clearly poorly managed! Y'all have ONE person on a weekend? Avoid at all costs
I order from the pleasant at location lastnight and was very disappointed. I've been a long time customer there, and I've noticed the quality of the food has went down, over the last year. I bought couple large poutines and combined in one container, you would have got a large. The poutine looked like something that my 5 year old would have whipped up 5 mins. What is happening? The gravy is poor quality, fries undercooked and I wait an hour for 1 large poutine basically. I barely ever complain, but this is being cheap and stingy. If you can't keep up the quality then it's time to change ownership or just shut down. I order sometimes weekly and I would say the last 4 times I ordered, the food hasn't met my satisfaction. I believe you guys owe me either my money back or 2 actual large poutine made properly. Not alot to ask. Absolutely disappointed! Stop being cheap. Also most of your drivers are lazy and when i pay a service I do expect it to be delivered to my door, as I've paid you to do so.
Unfortunately, it’s often either exceptional service or questionable service that gets posted. To keep well rounded review, I have both positive and a negative experience. Overall, customer service was good, quickness(usually good), quality in my experience (mostly good for the prices paid). It’s been a while since I ordered a poutine, and figured I’d order and show up in store. To my disappointment, when I opened my “poutine” I thought it was a large (huge) ungodly amount of gravy. Now anymore gravy and the bottom probably would have fell out of the container. Now, for a gravy lover this would be a dream, for a Canadian classic item, a travesty. I usually never have an experience such as this, but I hope this is not the new standard. Unfortunately, that was overbearing.
Gave this place a break for a few months because of horrible service, cold food, forgetful and slow deliveries. Decided to order tonight and nothing has changed. Dont know if this is under new management but Ive been ordering from this place for over a decade and tonight is the last cent I spend there.

Absolutely shameful way of running a business. Myself and some coworkers decided to try here for some slices as we were working nearby. 1 set of slices for lunch and 11 people waiting for slices when we walked in. No one even working acknowledged us when we walked in or when we asked about slices. -1 star rating if it was possible.
What we thought we were ordering vs what we got. Not really worth 25$ for a medium either. It was closing time by the time we got our order. Disappointing

I had the most delicious Bbq Chicken Pizza and a Donair Eggroll from Alexandras Pizza- Pleasant Street location (Woodside). Amazing food and the new owner gets an A+ for customer service. Yes peeps, customer service still exists!!

Way too hot inside the store. Can t even eat peacefully. No AC. Food and service was good so far. I feel bad for the workers. Pretty sure it s not easy to work in the kitchen in this heat with no AC in the restaurant.

I love the quality of the food here and the staff. The pizza sauce is phenomenal and the topping are all top tier ingredients and I am always served with a smile and a friendly greeting. I wont buy my weekend pizza order from anywhere else. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered from Alexandras Pizza. This location is my absolute fave! Keep up the good work and great food guys!
Truly the worst pizza place in the city. They never have any slices for sale even though they have a heater for it. The workers are incredibly rude and can barely understand English. I asked for garlic sauce on my pizza once and they put garlic BUTTER on it. Absolute joke of a business and I hope anyone reading this stays as far away as possible. DO NOT GO HERE.
Ordered 2 donairs and a small pizza, the pizza was ice cold and so were the donairs. Also the donairs were swimming in greece and bairly edible. The pizza also tasted really sweet like they used sweet pizza sauce for some reason. Very disappointing there food use to be so good

If you want to relive that 1990s Halifax pizza experience, you wont go wrong ordering from Alexandrias. Still tastes the same as it did in university. Absolutely wonderful pepperoni pizza!
We have gone to this location many times in the past and have never had any issues. We recently had a bad experience HOWEVER, they were amazing with making it right. We totally understand that stuff happens sometimes and they were so professional, so kind and it was so great to see that they cared enough to make it up to their customers. Fully recommend this location. Great owner and great management!
The order came to us cold and almost all the meat inside the donair was burnt. I have never had an experience like this at Alexandras...not only in one donair, but both of them had scorched and dried out meat, like it was leftover old meat being served. Very disappointing.
Wow! Just had an amazing lunch at Alexanda s Pizza Woodside and I finally understand why they ve been awarded the Best Pizza in Halifax Regional Municipality 12 times in the past 18 years! The flavors in every bite were outstanding, and the quality is unmatched. From the perfectly baked crust to the fresh, mouthwatering toppings, it s evident why they ve earned these accolades. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance made the meal even more enjoyable. If you re looking for an award-winning pizza experience, this is THE place to be in Halifax! I ll definitely be back for more.

Missing ingredient and didn t give pop until being asked. We ordered 5 ingredients and only to find out green peppers were not there after we got home. It s not worth a 15 min drive. The server didn t include the pop until we asked and that s not cool.

I am surprised to read the poor reviews. I ordered 2 large pizzas today and they were perfect. I ordered the works and a greek pizza. Not overcooked or burnt, nice amount of toppings and cheese. It is hard to find a good pizza place in the city as most places consistently burn the pizza and cheese, or they are all dough and no toppings. I have stopped ordering from most other pizza locations because it is such a waste of money. I hope Woodside is consistent and the next time I order it will just as good as today. I bragged up this location and pizza to a quite a few people today. Please dont disappoint and thanks for the great pizza today.
The food was good but i wasnt impressed with the bathroom :( Not clean at all,ants etc...... I passed it on to a staff member and he didnt say anything but sorry.Had i known the bathroom was like this I wouldnt have gone in at all.PLEASE DO BETTER

Lovely store, Ive lived locally my whole life and have been pretty much living off garlic fingers and donairs from here my entire life. Everyone behind the counter is very nice and personable, sure a 2L Pepsi is sometimes missed if I deliver but I can always call and they bring it right to me with no trouble. Best donairs you can get in the whole of Nova Scotia.

I recently visited Alexandras Pizza with the hope of enjoying a slice, only to be met with a less than satisfactory experience. Not only were there no slices available, but the staffs response to my inquiry was dismissive. Despite this, I decided to order a donair. As I waited for my meal, I couldnt help but notice the stark contrast in the way I was treated compared to other customers. While others were greeted warmly, I felt distinctly unwelcome. To make matters worse, I was handed a cold donair. The meat was not only cold but also appeared old and dry. The service I receive, but this visit was exceptionally disappointing. I hope the management of Alexandras Pizza takes this feedback seriously. No customer should feel singled out or receive subpar service and food.
Late review- We stayed in Nova Scotia this may, and this was Some of the best pizza weve ever had! We ordered 3x during our one week stay. The only disappointment was we couldnt bring it back on the plane Lol.

I cant say enough great things about Alexandras pizza on Pleasant Street! The pizzas there are absolutely top-notch. The crust is perfectly crispy the toppings are always fresh, the staff is very friendly and the delivery service is super fast . highly recommended 10 out of 10!!!!

My bf spend 70$ on food and all of it was wack. (No sauce, no cheese, bacon was gross and overcooked, we asked for extra cheese and there was still less than what would come on a regular pizza). We used to go to this location religiously, not anymore.

I order a large pizza sub, employee said between 10 to 15 minutes to be ready. Okay so I figure I get there 12 minutes thinking it would be ready if not only wait for a few minutes. Get there and they havent even started it making it. So I asked them why you havent started making it when you guys said it would be done between 10 - 15 minutes. Their response to my question was We said between 10 to 15 minutes what do you expect Didnt argue with them, just said alright fine. Waited for 5 minutes after hes response, brought my food and left. Will never go back to this location again. Employees are rude.
When everything and everyone is closed in Shearwater, this pizza shop is open and ready to serve up some good fast food.

Utterly disgusted by this place. They charged 6$ for a meagre piece of submarine bread smeared with garlic butter, which according to them is garlic bread . This doesn t fit any wild imagination of what constitutes a garlic bread. It s beyond a ripoff, upon returning the piece the manager says this I am to sell this to another customer , I want to be clear I did not ask for my money back. This is worth looking into for whoever is the owner of this place, the managers utter disdain for the customer is shameful. The time of occurrence is the time of posting. I will be taking this up with the food regulator authorities and my bank for a charge back.
Not like the other Alexandra Pizza locations. This location is extremely stingy with its pizza toppings and frequently burns them. After a few disappointments, I waited 6 months before trying again. No change. To avoid the problem of past times, I ordered extra cheese this time, but there was absolutely no difference, as if they didnt even hear that part of the order (still priced me for it though); Very spotty pizza with lots of spots of mere bread covered with sauce. The outer portion entirely bare of cheese and toppings other than sauce. The in-store presentation is poor too; Messy, with very dim lights, not a single word or picture of menu items or prices other than a tiny pamphlet behind the counter, and the front door still has a major cracked window just the same as 6 months ago. Im done giving them benefit of doubt.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I purchased a donair plate it s legit all donair meat & liquid the bottom. There may be about 10 fries max .. pathetic & disgusting do not waste your money.

I have lived in Dartmouth for about 8 years. I have tried all the pizza places in the downtown ares but the Canadian Calsic pizza they offer at this place is the best to my knowledge and research. I would consider it for my last meal, its gotten to the point where I am reluctant to order pizza or garlic figgers from anywhere else. beacause i know, deep down in my heart. i could of had something better from Alexandras Their panzoratis are no joke either.
Placed an online order. Received a confirmation message. Did not receive food. Edit: I received a call from Alexandras apologizing for missing my order last night. There are apparently some issues with their online ordering system. It was still frustrating to order and wait for food that never came, but I appreciated them taking the time to contact me with an apology today. Hopefully they will get the links worked out of their online ordering system, because their food is good.
This isnt the first time weve had well done cheese on our pizza from this location. This is the last time we will order from Alexandras. $36 for burnt pizza.

Love the poutine and pizza here. Big issues with the garlic fingers though - they BURN them every time. I had to specifically ask for them to undercook the garlic fingers and they were 1000X better. Not sure what they are thinking when they package up burnt garlic fingers like that.
We ordered a Large Ham, Sausage, Feta, Black Olive, Tomato, Green Olive. It was 29.50 Delivered, and it was the best pizza weve had in a while! The placement was perfect and each bite was great. Im only gushing about this because sometimes pizza is like coffee you really wish it was made better... but not this time! Mmmmmmm pizza!

I was visiting Canada from NY when I went to Alexandra s Woodside pizza. NY is known for having the best pizza however, Alexandra s pizza definitely out beats NY. That says a lot coming from a New Yorker lol. They have the most delicious food and the staff was so welcoming and accommodating, Dardan who served us was a perfect gentleman. I wish I could order from NY and have it delivered! Can t wait to visit again and go to Alexandra s. I highly recommend! Once you have Alexandra s, you ll never go anywhere else.
There are few differentiators in pizza, but the counter person insisted on helping my toddler-age-daughter and I to our car with a load of pizzas on a busy Saturday night. That service counted to me.

As a Paramedic we cant always guarantee that we can stick around long enough for food to be made for us. The man that worked the night of June 13th made our night. My Partner and I were not from the area and we were hungry. There were no slices ready at the time so He took the chance that we may get a call between the time we ordered and the time it was ready. The pizza was delicious. This is our new fav pizza joint when we come to Dartmouth. Thank you so much for making our night.
Ive ordered from here so .many times regrettably..they tell me they have sub buns..mayo and chicken and cheese ..but cant put them together to make a sub .. completely incompetent staff. Go somewhere else if you wanna get ahold accurate meal.. Bunch of goofs

After a full day of travel, and 4 hours time change, I wanted my first time in Halifax to include a donair. After getting the rental car and hitting up a liquor store, the cashier recommended Alexandras for the best donair. My wife ordered a small, me a medium from the Woodside location. Ive been warned that east coast donair sauce is sweeter than expected.. Im not big on sweet, but went with the traditional ingredients to see what the hubbub is all about. The meat is peppery, more than expected. The peppery meat, along with the sweet sauce, onions, tomato - its sublime. Magic. Thanks Alexandras for a memorable moment in my life.
We used to live in Halifax and order from the Fairview location, which we never had any issues with. The food was always quick, fresh and never burnt. Ive ordered from the Woodside location after moving a few times now, and its either a hit or miss between recieving crunchy pizza, or waiting for over an hour for the order to arrive. I dont mind waiting an hour, but why does my pizza or appetizers have to be crunchy and burned??? Please stop burning the food!!

Wish there was a zero star option. Worst customer service ever! We had bad experiences the last few orders we made here but decided to give them another shot tonight because it s been a while. They forgot half our order, which the driver conveniently only discovered after I had paid and generously tipped him. Took an extra 45 minutes and another exasperating phone call to the store before the guy showed up with the pizza... and refused to give a refund! Told me I d have to call the store and MAYBE they d give us a discount next time... absolutely atrocious service. There was an opportunity to make it right and they failed.
I have been ordering from them for quite a bit now but never wrote a review but something happened the other day which is worth appreciating. On my way back from work i placed a delivery order but surprisingly the order came even before i was home. He gave the pizzas to my daughter without payment and told he will be back in a while. I offered him a job at my retail office to thank him for the gesture but his words thank you but i love working for my boss . I was shocked but that s THE TRUE DEFINITION OF LOYALTY and we need guys like him. Definitely it s not always the food but the service that makes it special. Ah I forgot to mention the guy i think his name was banu as he mentioned.

Oh my god their bacon is a masterpiece. Me and my wife order their meatlovers pizza and i gotta tell ya... them leftovers slap hard the next day gives me the strength to deal with my boss. The bacon guys highly recommended with extra bacon

Love this place! My kids convinced me to come here and try the poutine, which was the best thing Ive ever done! The poutines are amazing (regular and Donair) (LOVE the gravy) and so are the burgers! The chicken wraps, meatball subs and chicken are really good! And the crispy fries they get in, oh man. So good. Servings are really big for a good price and the boys are all super friendly and great to chat with! You just have to strike up a conversation and talk to them! The place is VERY clean. Even a lot of restaurants in Halifax seem dirty and gross compared to here. I usually go here for dinner time or later so I dont know of everyone who works here but the cooks who usually do my order even cover their hands with gloves when they prepare food. (I adore Julien, who usually prepares my order! He remembers customers and how they like their food and even brings you your food right to you in the waiting area when you are waiting! I love when we chat, and honestly never feel like I am just another customer!) As a customer I appreciate a clean, healthy environment and I love ordering here! Youre not going to get sick off their food because its a very clean, organized place and you can clearly see that when you walk in. After Halloween they gave the kids some candy. You know, just to be nice. The kids loved that. Not because they got free candy, but because they were nice enough to give them some. Customer service is a huge deal. How businesses and their employees treat people is a huge deal. Ive seen people come in (one old lady in particular) looking for a drink. Dont think she had much money and the owner gave her a pop for free. She walked out smiling saying they treat her well. I believed her. I didnt ask because its none of my business, but Im sure she is known to them and this has happened before. You might think that dollar pop is no big deal but you know, it kinda is. Seen them give out pizza slices for free. First time I ordered here they gave the kids free slices. If its not exactly fresh they wont try to sell it to customers like other places. Not saying they do it all the time and you shouldnt expect it,but it happens. Even one of their delivery drivers offered us a drive home one day when we were leaving and it was super cold. Super sweet guy. Hes always smiling and always seems to be in a good mood!(We only live about a five minute walk though so it wasnt a long walk home.) Long before I even went there for the first time one of their delivery drivers was doing his last delivery in my apartment building and offered to help me and the kids bring up some groceries. It was nice of him to offer as the stairs suck so much! Haha They will treat you good here because I believe they have some good people working here. These are situations that I have seen, spread out over some time. We enjoy stopping in and come by almost every time we have take out simply because the food is good and they treat people good. I recommend stopping in to try it out yourself! Not sure of the other Alexandras but this one is definitely worth going to!
Ordered online at 4:11pm and by 5:25 no sign of food, so I call to see how much longer as my daughter was super hungry. I understand when places get busy. But for them to blatantly lie about my order.... First guy I spoke with asked how I ordered. I told him online at 4:11. He said no order for your address. I said I have confirmation # and gave to him so he went to look. Said nothing showing. Asked what I ordered. Told him he said it would be another 25 minutes. I asked if I would get a discount for the now will be 1.75 hours. He said let me ask. Another guy comes on phone. Asking how I ordered. Again said online. Oh our online printer is not working will give you your x for free. My daughter agrees to wait. Now...if first guy went to look at the online orders already and said mine was not there, and the second guy said the online printer is broken....get your stories straight before you lie to your customers! Own up to the fact it got lost or missed. I would appreciate that more than a lie . And for that, you have lost my business for good. Shameful

very expensive $$$ compared to other pizza places. Atmosphere inside is cold dark and depressing. When i asked how old the pizza slices were because they looked dried out. the guy in the back yelled Two weeks old. I really question how sanitary the kitchen is here because the lobby and bathroom are filthy. I wont be back.

My boyfriend used to order pizza from here multiple days a week when he went to NSCC for film because he didnt have time to be a human and he said its the best pizza hes ever eaten! We live in Ottawa and not a single pizza place weve eaten from there rivals the pizza here
The only pizza shops in town that take your change. I know these cooks dont make alot. But stealing peoples money is pathetic. The old slurry talking guy at Woodside kept some of my change last night. Did he think I was drunk and wouldnt notice ? It was late. But I was sober. Same as his buddy at the Highfield store. The only place where the employees steal. Then they say oh sorry. I didnt notice. Iam sure its a common practice. Will never go back. Your cooks are thiefs. I cant imagine what they actually take from the business of they are willing to take from the customer. And to allow your employees to get away with this. Is even worse. Not to mention your Woodside store is riddled with insects. Spiders crawling all over the counter. Its pretty nasty and should be cleaned.
Delicious pizza and poutine! Service is quick and food is always hot when it arrives. Cons: Donair plates are small and disappointing in comparison to other pizza joints.
Clean and friendly staff and store. Feels chill and the food is amazing best burgs goin too! Pizza is perfect too!
Ordered from here, food was never finished on time and how many times can one person say, no tomato???????? Horrible owners.

The worst Italian poutine Ive ever had. I had to call the restaurant to confirm it was correct. The sauce had no meat was just big chunks of green pepper and onions in a red sauce. Fix your website if youre going to advertise a hearty meat sauce and serve a vegetarian sauce. This is not an Italian poutine step your game up Alexandras pizza.
Theres always something wrong with the order and the foods always cold even though I only live 5 minutes down the road, ordered burgers from there last night buns were stale burgers were NASTY! cant even call it meat looked grey and fake I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN
