Best service in Dartmouth crossing. Servers are all friendly and professional. Lunch is great, we often choose here if shopping both as a couple and with our kids. Food is consistently good. Same price range as the big box places in DC, with much better food and atmosphere.
I had Sangria to start -- it was so yummy! If you love brussel sprouts, you will enjoy that starter as much as I did. My dining partner had the GF shrimp and scallop pasta. She said it was spicy and I could see her face was getting a bid red, but she ate the whole thing so I guess it was yummy too. Service was excellent. It was a bit noisy and warm in the restaurant, but what can you do about that really. It was distracting when the front of house greeter started moving furniture around by herself. She struggled with the sofa.

Visiting from Vancouver, honestly best smash burger I’ve had. Had a modern, fun atmosphere while still feeling warm and homey. Good selection of cocktails if you just wanna get drink (but the food is amazing!!) and if you want dessert the crème brûlée lemon meringue was phenomenal. If the food review wasn’t enough to convince you the service was brilliant! Definitely recommend!!
Amazing food. Calamari was perfectly cooked (easily overcooked). Sea food chowder was the best so far in the east coast trip and generous portion. Our server was very friendly and service was amazing. My kid tried mussels and scallops for the first time including chowder and he loved it. He is a picky eater, by the way.
This review is a little overdue. I wanted to like this place so much more than I did. I used to love 2 Doors Down when I worked downtown. This was my first time at this location. I'll preface this with we went here on a busy Saturday night during burger week. Let's start with the good. We had the onion rings and some fries as appies. The onion rings were 10/10. So crispy and loved the drizzle of honey. We both were raving about them. The fries were a little disappointing and I can't put my finger on why. I love fresh cut fries but these were so flavourless that I asked the server if they were frozen. Then we got our smash burger with a side of kale Caesar. The kale Caesar was as good as I had remembered it was. I think they make the best kale Caesar in the city! Unfortunately the burger was so salty neither one of us finished it. You couldn't taste any other flavours. I was so disappointed as I had remembered the burger being so good. We finished our meal with a coffee. The server made a fresh pot for us, which was really nice. The coffee was really good. Our server was attentive and friendly. I would say the service was mostly good. We let her know that unfortunately the burger was just too salty for us but said we didn't want her to do anything. We were pretty full at this point anyway. We just wanted to let her know. And she said she would let the kitchen know as well. We paid our full bill, which is fine. We weren't looking for or expecting to have our meal comped. But the one thing I would say as someone who also worked a long time in the service industry is that if someone was only able to eat half of their main, I would in the very least have comped their coffee. Especially when neither of us finished our burgers. I still think 2 Doors is worth a visit. If not for the kale caesar alone. They've always had a creative menu and lots of good things to choose from. I've had many a good meal at the downtown location. If I go again, I will definitely update my review as I really think this may have just been an off night for the smash burger.
Always have great service when coming here. This has become one of our go to spots, after an errand day in Dartmouth Crossing. Our most recent visit was very busy so we had to sit at the bar. The bar is not our usual option, but we decided to give it a try. The bartender that served us was very friendly and very helpful when we were trying to decide what to eat and drink. Both the food and drinks were delicious. If you come here, you gotta try the buttermilk biscuits with the molasses butter. We get them every time. So good. 👏🏾
So we dropped in for lunch and decided to sit inside as it was still a little cool outside. I grabbed a lager as we were deciding what to order. My wife decided on the Thai bowl and I had the seafood chowder with molasses bread. The chowder was good and so was the beer. My wife didn't finish her bowl because the flavor was just too overpowering. She struggled past the third bite. I was good, just too much of it. The servers seemed to be somewhat new, but they were good and made it an excellent experience. This is the second time we have frequented this location and will return for sure.

The food was incredible. Service was slow and they were out of a few things that we wanted to order. Other than that a great time. Wheelchair accessibility: Other than being tight on space which they can easily move around its fully wheelchair accessible.

Super friendly wait staff, wonderfully flavoured meal - I had the seafood chowder..delicious. Definitely go back again. Parking: Timing is key...lunch in December was a chore to find parking..my lunch partner was a little late, had no issue with parking.
The Smash Burger was awesome, but the parmesan fries were totally bland and unappetizing. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are very limited.
I love this spot! Its perfectly adorned and the food is amazing. The small menu might be off putting to some, but rest assured what they serve, they do very well.

Overall great as usual! Service was excellent, and the smokehouse burger was as delicious as usual. Ordered a Tuesday in Tenochtitlan from the drink menu. It was amazing, Old fashionesk with nice chipotle heat at the end. The only disappointment was the Apetizer - Biscuits. They were baked well, but very bland. Lacked salt and a bit of subtle sweet. I hoped the molasses/butter spread would redeem the biscuit, but that really lack a molasses flavour and tasted like it was blended with unsalted butter or crisco shortening. Wont stop me from coming back again though.
Great night out. Big hits of the night were the onion rings with my burger (well worth the upgrade), the buttermilk biscuits (should be on the dessert menu as well as the appetizer menu lol) and the creme Brule was stellar. One critism, we ordered the CIRO S BURRATA which is marketed for 2, but only came with three pieces of bread and three peach slices. Wish there was more as this was out of place with the large amount of cheese and pieces of tomato. Other than that, good meal (mains were fine - burger and the risotto) , great service and atmosphere was fantastic.

This was a great night. The calamari was especially excellent - crispy and spicy, but the service was exceptional. On a busy Friday evening it was clear the staff was working hard, but everything we asked for and more was immediately taken care of. Just an all around great experience for our party of four. Thanks! Vegetarian options: One of the special appetizers we wanted to try had meat, but the restaurant was happy to make us a vegetarian version. There are also a few very flavorful veggie options on the menu, including a great garden burger.

We were at 2 Doors Down on Friday evening - it is a good idea to make a reservation. The food, the atmosphere and the service are always delicious, welcoming and relaxed and warm. If you have the choice of a side of soup with your meal - get the soup! The chef at the Dartmouth Crossing restaurant makes soup with pizazz. We had a Thai curry soup with chicken dumplings that made us say so good with every spoonful. We love this restaurant.

We went specially for Burgers. Like everyone we were extremely excited . The server took our order at 5.30 and we waited until 6.15 to realise that our order was never placed by the server. I would never come back.

Ordered snow-crab & spinach stuffed salmon (gluten-free). It was delicious and arrived temperature hot . Unfortunately, it took over an hour to get dessert but they didnt charge for coffee and apologized so Im looking forward to the next visit. Atmosphere would have been a 5 if it werent for the flies! Recognizing this is very difficult to control - still a great experience. Wedge salad was a bit of a miss at our table - it was a lot of work (probably fancy but was agreed upon as too much work for a salad).

Food was great. Service also great. A bit pricey - $30 for a burger with kale salad and gluten free bun - however very tasty. The only negative would be the condition of the chairs and table - could use some updating. Other than that we had a great meal and time with our family. Thank-you! Good restaurant, can see why the reviews are high, but nothing spectacular. Menu is a bit limited (wanted seafood specifically) and the variety is quite mixed so that threw me off a bit, but the food itself was good. Wouldnt rave about it but not discontent, good restaurant

This was our first visit and we thought it was really good. The menu had a good selection and the whipped molasses s biscuits were amazing! I ll be back for those again for sure. Our server was great, sorry I didn t catch her name. Food was delicious and great portion size. My only note is that the atmosphere is great but it is a small space so not a lot of privacy from the people setting along side of you. Can t wait to go back and try another menu item. Shared a birthday dinner with my husband. The food was hot and delicious. I made a reservation and was glad I did as it was pretty full. We had the buttermilk calamari. I had the chicken sandwich special which was chicken parm with fries. Hubby had the lamb shank with lentils. It was all delicious.

The restaurant is comfortable - not too loud or cold as many restaurants are these days. Our waitress was great - friendly and enthusiastic and made great food recommendations. This is definitely a favorite for my partner and I. We took my grandmother here on Sunday March 10th, and had an amazing meal! Thanks to the staff who even helped me kick the spiciness level on my burger to greater heights!
Steak frites in the menu says it s a strip loin. It is not. It s a piece of a larger tenderloin or something. Either serve strip loin or change the menu.
2 doors down is never not the best. You might think youre going for a standard burger, or maybe a soup, but NO. You are always shocked by how excellent everything tastes! This was one of the best vegan meals i ever had! it was delicious and filling, the service was top notch! my only complaint was it was a tight squeeze to sit, so we did ask to move to a more private corner. But that cant be helped giving the space theyre working with, so for that i would come back again and again. Vegetarian options: it is so hard to find good vegetarian meals that arent just vegan burgers. So i really love when places branch out to make it more interesting.

Delicious. Did the dine around menu and it was superb! A little pricey, so didnt end up getting a cocktail. Will be back to try regular menu items as it was hard deciding between many entrees. Was a little cold/drafty sitting by the window, so sitting farther in the back would have been more cozy.

My mother took me out for lunch for my birthday this afternoon, the food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. But Im writing this review to say how lovely our waitress was, I wish I got her name. Im not a huge dessert person so I wasnt over the moon about the dessert selection (my personal preference) but she brought me out 2 cookies with whip cream and was just the sweetest person ever. Will be back for sure :)
Visited 2 doors Down while in Dartmouth on the way to the airport to have dinner. We had the Old School Smash Burger and added bacon. We also had parm fries as the side and they were delicious. We also had the seafood chowder. The seafood chowder was really good.. with no shortage of seafood, which I appreciated! I d definitely encourage anyone to have their smash burgers because they were amazing!! The service was also excellent.. our waiter was very attentive and helpful.

Not the best. I went with a group from work. We were 13 people. Big group, I get it. We sat outside and they took our drink orders. We got our drinks and waited around 1:15 for our food. We were asked twice if we were ok for drinks so the service was alright. It was around 1:00 when we got there and we didn t leave until 3! Don t think I would go back. I also got a pop and a burger and it was $31 total!
Last night, we visited the Dartmouth 2DD for the first time and were not disappointed. The server was lovely, the food was delicious, and the service exceeded all expectations. Our group shared the calamari & ploughmans platter to start - the calamari was among the best Ive had and it came with a unique but tasty sauce. For dinner, we had the smokehouse burger with the kale Caesar salad, so good! Well definitely be back

Burger was tasty ,little swee and made us incredibly bloated, not a great feeling. Food did come fast, maybe a little too fast (our drinks came and I hadnt had a sip and the food came ). Atmosphere had potential but it just gives off a cold vibe that isnt inviting. Not to mention the insanely loud talker at the table next to us, which their voice carried like it was in a bullhorn due to the open high ceilings.
I really have no complaints, other than my own carelessness. I ordered the smash burger and onion rings without really reading the menu to see whag was on the smash burger. It turns out Im NOT a fan of burger sauce (which is jsut thousand Island dressing), so I didnt enjoy the burger as much as I could have, but thats my bad, so I wont hold it against them. It was a feast burger! Just the sauce and double American cheese didnt sit well with me... But holy hell the onion rings! I could go back to just have a plate of those. Top notch.

A gem of a place. Nice ambiance and lighting. It was packed at 7pm on a Friday, which added to the vibe. Sophie our server behind the bar was great under pressure, she was really busy but took the time to chat with us. She is a great asset to the place. The kitchen is open so you can see what they are cooking. Lots of people seemed to be ordering burgers, they looked good! Cant wait to come back!
The food was amazing, one of the best burgers Ive had in a long time. Everyone was raving about the burger. I got fries and gravy (no cheese curds when I was there but thats okay!) they were nicely salted and the gravy was good! The service was absolutely lovely, the lady who served us was kind and nothing but lovely! We got there around the dinner switch, which included dimming the lights and putting candles out.

Had the mussels to start and they were beautifully done! Our mains (brisket & smokehouse burger) were so rich and delicious. The beer selection was great, and service was delightful! Highly recommended

Portons are small and prices are at least 50% more than your average restaurant of this quality. If money is no objective this place is ok.

The staff were lovely and get the two stars. The Better bowl (a MAIN dish btw) was a total let down. A quarter cup of quinoa, a quarter cup of chickpeas, a few slices of tomato and cucumber and five leaves of spinach for $18?! I left hungry. Others at my table were very surprised and commented at how measley my so called bowl was. I got more in an appetizer at the Keg!
I ate here a few days ago, the seafood linguini pasta was not good at all compared to other places Ive been, but the kind waitress was willing to get me something new, so I asked for the burger instead. The burger was soggy, and cold in the middle but I just wanted to leave at that point so I paid my bill and left. Good service, but I do not recommend this restaurant due to their gross food.
