I've never seen such a flat omelet, perhaps because there was only 2 small pieces of ham in it (western). Eggs in other breakfast were equally flat and tasted awful. Service was terrible.
I love the food especially the chicken souvlaki. The atmosphere is nice and the service is friendly. I wish I could come here more often 🙂
Been here a handful of times over the years. Burgers are excellent, breakfast is excellent. Staff always friendly. Feels like a nice little family spot. 10/10
Great meal , amazing waitress. Went to pay for my order and the owner came flying from outback stating that “ next time I have to pay full price for my daughter. “ I was horrified as I had no idea what she was talking about. She then yelled at me , embarrassing me in front of entire restaurant , saying that deal was for children 12 and under. My daughter is 11. I will never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone ever again
First time here. Greeted immediately since we (my brother and I) came at 11:30 for lunch. Very friendly waitress that let us sit wherever since it was not busy yet at this time. I ordered the Greek wrap with a Greek salad as a substitute for the Fries which was $5 extra, a little too much to charge imo. Food came out 15-20 minutes late and as you can see in the picture, a decent portion size for $23 plus tax. Food was fine but it did not blow my taste buds away but it definitely was not bad. Overall I would come back and try something else and would recommend this place if you're in the Cole Harbour area. By the time we left around 12:30, it definitely picked up and not alot of tables left.
Location is good, lots of free parking. Layout is ok, decoration require reinstate the tables and seats need to be redone, some chairs are not comfortable. Colors are dark, if you offer breakfast then, you should make the atmosphere brighter. Also the there is a fridge in the middle of the dining area need to be relocated. Service, is within expectations, the with waitress well known of the menu and able to explain the ingredients. Waiting time for the order, my experience is within expectations, as a matter of fact I received my order today very fast. Cleanliness, I noticed the place cleanliness is within expectations. Test, the food taste was delicious and Rich. I really felt full. I have only one issue with the breakfast menu, I don't eat bacon and most of the options has bacon. Prices, really the price was extremely acceptable ($). Conclusion: I liked my experience, and I see if you tried it, you should have a good experience.
I'm a regular at this place. Staff is always friendly and very quick to serve you. There are always atleast a seat or 2 taken everytime I come in. This place is never empty! My go to fish is the haddock tips. Light fare. Some meals come with a complimentary dessert! Like rice pudding or the Greek cake; it's my favourite!
I had a burger and it was fantastic. Looking around at the food being served around me it all looked absolutely delicious. Very well priced and large portions. I'd definitely go back.

Traditional burger restaurant mainly. Breakfasts served until 3pm. The burgers are generous, juicy with just the right amount of sauce. The chocolate cake is good, if a little sweet. Fast service. Free parking opposite.

Arrived at Brass Rail at 4:45 pm for dinner. We were told they close at 5 pm and they dont seat customers after 4:30 pm. We were offered take out. We ordered chicken souvlaki but were told the grills had been turned off. The deep fryers were still on though. Really? Thats what I call being closed at 4:30 pm. In the meantime, they turned away 4 customers. So sad.

Have been here about five times over the last few years, mostly when invited along with a friends family. Theres a comfort in the simple Mom & Pop feel to this place, which is nothing fancy, but gives a content feeling. Four booths by the window, four or five other tables, with total seating capacity for probably 35-40 total. Friendly service from staff and owners. Reasonable prices. I enjoyed the breakfast wrap on my most recent visit (lettuce, tomato, bacon, egg and I think cheddar) with side of home fries, and hollandaise as a bonus. Good size, well prepared, satisfying. The dishes Id tried before, are too long ago to remember the details, but I do recall that they were safe, filling, no complaints. There are Greek options available that I am looking forward to trying in the future. Kid friendly. Accessible with lots of free parking in the plaza.
Ate here for the first time today and was so happy I came. The service was so good and the food was amazing. Might be my new favourite and regular breakfast place.
The outlaw burger . One word - Awesome Stopped here for a quick take out lunch . After a online recommendation I thought why not . Ordered the outlaw burger on a fresh brioche bun with dry fried onions and bacon with a bbq sauce on it . Came with fresh cut fries and coleslaw which was great. The coleslaw was terrible however had to throw it out . The coleslaw recipe needs a re evaluation. Would definitely try this place again.
Some of the best food in the hrm, the staff is always very friendly. The food is always fresh and delicious, i always get the haddock tips. sucks that theyre not open for supper anymore

Wanted to try this restaurant but unfortunately it closes at 5:00pm every day. Guess Nova Scotia still hasn t learned that there are still people in this province who want to eat out after 5:00pm

Just had a late breakfast here. I have never eaten at this restaurant yet and we decided to try it. So far if you want the home cooked food type, its better than Coras and Pur & Simple. This is the first restaurant I have eaten in where the breakfast sausages are not really salty tasting. The bacon was good too. The prices are good for what you get. The 3 egg breakfast combo with all three meats, toast, and hash browns was $15.00 dollars and it was done right. This is a good alternative if you dont want the fancier breakfast places. We will be going back to this restaurant to try out other dishes.
Food is good. Its a family restaurant. Nice to support local. Not a fast food joint. Come and relax. Enjoy your food. Caters to the older crowd. Closes at 5 pm. So, NO supper for you!! Ha ha

Such a lovely place, so quiet and pleasant and you can actually hear your food being prepared! Clubhouse is my favorite and my kiddos love the fish n chips!

Love this place. Work just down the road and order every Friday. The Cole harbour burger is one of the best burgers in the city. The clubhouse on garlic bread is also amazing. Some of the best french fries too. All around great spot to eat just a bit small and limited seating during covid which is expected.
Nice fish and chips
I ve been wanting to try this place for brunch for a while and finally committed. For me a well executed Eggs Benedict says allot about a place. Low and behold, they serve up a delicious classic Benny and make their own Hollandaise sauce. I will definitely be back and can t wait to try other items on their menu like their burger (voted best burger in HRM in Stars Metro). Staff was friendly and service was great!!

We enjoyed the breakfast they serve until 3pm (we got there at 2) The hash browns were particularly great, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The hollandaise was delicious, and our eggs and meat were cooked to order. Im excited to come back and try their lunch/dinner fare, and well certainly be back for breakfast again

Had a wonderful brunch, it was enough to bring some home for later. Amazing home fries and French fries clearly made on site. Parking: Large parking lot with wheelchair parking right in front of the door.

Im lowering my rating on this place. The menu is very tired. There has not been a menu change in the last 12 years. Time to change it up in there. I was a regular and I just got bored of the same old stuff.

Pan seared Haddock - delicious! Not crazy about the vegetables as they seemed a tad wilty. (Otherwise I would have given them 5 out of 5). Service was wonderful and personable. Adequate space between tables.

The outlaw burger was great, and the onion rings were good and different. The coconut cream pie was good, and the service was nice.
While the place is not very big, it was comfortable and the food was excellent. We started with the haddock bits, while my wife and son didnt want any appetizers, after taste, they cleaned up my plate. We then ordered the chicken souvlaki and the shrimp on skewer meals, very good portions but more importantly they were delicious. I dont usually eat desserts immediately after my meal, but the meals came with a dessert choice of either rice pudding or Greek cake. Both were excellent and refreshingly good. Highly recommend.

I have to agree that their burgers are the best I have had in awhile. I highly recommend the Greek Burger with Feta cheese on it. It was delicious for sure. The half size of Hadfock tips was humongous and would be a regular size anywhere else. The rice pudding is done in the true Greek way and was delicious almost to the point of wanting more. Prices are reasonable for what you get. We will be certainly going back for sure. Next time I will be trying the liver and onions as I gave heard it is delicious. Thanks for the great service as well. The only complaint I have is with the coleslaw. It had no taste to it at all as it had way to much oil on it.

Brass Rail continues to be one of my favorite restaurants. Their foods great and the Chicken Souvlaki and the pan fried Haddock are awesome. The staff is friendly and professional the owners often greet returning customers personally. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It was a busy spot but we were seated and ordering within 10 minutes. The menu looks great, they even serve one of my personal specials of banana bread french toast. I had the eggs benedict with hashbrowns and coffee, everything was fantastic, I even ate half my potatoes (a rariety) which were crispy and well seasoned. The servers were all very friendly, atmosphere was cozy, the kitchen was quick and the prices fair. I will definitely be returning :)

Great little diner like spot to grab a reasonably priced meal. I usually grab breakfast but they offer lots of great options. My only complaint is the home fries used to be real home fries. Bring them back!
