Very, very disappointed no brunch anymore, and the brunch option that was offered was overcooked and tasteless :(

Very nice place, view on the water. I had the fish taco which was delicious. The fish was crispy. Service was courteous and generous. Vegetarian options: I remember seeing at least two: a black bean burger and a black bean taco.

Loved the staff and their service, outstanding!!!

Fantastic solo lunch at the bar served by Jason. Delicious Chicken Sliders recommended by Ewan. Great selection of local brews on tap and lively atmosphere with a great view of the Halifax harbour. Service was second to none. Well done! Will definitely bring some pals along next time. :)

Lovely restaurant and great food. The parking was confusing but now we know to ask for the code!

Horrible experience in this place, more than one hour of waiting, didn t see any thing like this in Canada before. Vegetarian options: Very poor by vegetarian options, we asked the waitress for help but she left us for another customer, came back after 13 min forgot about our question!

Service was horrible, it took over 45 minutes to get my cup coffee. The server told me every couple of minutes that hes getting my coffee but it never came. People that ordered food after us were getting food before us. The food sat underneath the heat lamps for so long that the server couldnt even hold the plates. The blackened fish I ordered was over cooked and bland. The chicken parm was soggy the fries were cold as well as the chicken wings. The only thing that came quick was the drinks (except for my coffee) and the bill.

Normally we frequent the baker dr location and thought this time switch it up. My husband and I arrived just before 5pm. The place was NOT busy, 2 people at the bar and a few people outside. We were sat at a table with menus. Sat there for probably 10 min & not acknowledged once. No drink menu nothing. Not even a we will be with you in a moment We let the young man working know. He told me the manager on duty was Amanda. Do better Mill stone. We will not be back! Just terrible Probably the worst service ever. I could see if the place was packed. But it wasn t

The service we received tonight was horrible. Never checked on us once to see how our food was tasting. Took forever for us to order our food. She was very slow moving. The white sangria did not taste like sangria. I was disappointed. Not sure if our server was new to the restaurant industry because she did give good service at all. Our table even had to ask for more beverages instead of her asking us and we had to ask for salt & pepper. No tables had them. One of our friends asked for Nova 7 and was told they had no cold Nova 7. And then was charged on her bill for Nova 7 and a glass of wine. She asked for a glass of wine after they had no cold Nova 7 and was never brought her glass of wine. Overall very disappointing service.

I was there on a weekday evening to meet an acquaintance. The location on the corner of the wharf is very scenic. Ambiance within the restaurant was very warm and modern. I had the Millstone Signature Haddock with the blackened haddock and their cheesecake special for the day, both of which were very delicious. The server we had was very delightful and provided excellent service.

A great patio spot with pub fare but also some unique and some healthier options to give the menu some diversity.

The food was delicious. The chowder was a little too salty but very good other than that. The candied bacon burger was flavorful with sweet juicy bacon.

Nice location along the water. Easy walk from the ferry terminal and the downtown core. Reservations accepted. Great service. Excellent burger. God awful fries. The fries were soggy and wet. Not sure if the oil was not hot enough or the fries were cooked in water. That s not possible is it? The worst fries I ve ever eaten. We didn t bother to complain because we knew we would have finished the burgers before new fries arrived.

Such a beautiful location, I am a big fan of the one on Baker drive but this is next level. The view of the water front is amazing, food and service to die for. Such a gem. Kid-friendliness: Great options for kids

I wish I could give this location 10 stars. My husband and I dinned in last night. We were overwhelmed by the amazing service, amazing drinks and amazing food. Lauren (I believe that s her name) was working alone, and she was AMAZING. Usually with only 1 server out, the service dies off after the food arrives but not last night. I am so impressed. This location was phenomenal. We will definitely be back and cannot wait to check out the patio. We got the spinach dip as an appetizer, my husband had the blackened haddock and I had the fettuccine Alfredo with cajun. Holy heck, it was all delicious.

We had a Christmas dinner from our company. They selected this place and there were limited options for dietary restrictions (Halal), so I ordered fish with fries and lemonade. Taste, ambience, service was amazing.

When we first moved into the neighbourhood, I admit I wasn t super excited by what seemed to be a sports bar. But it was open when we were hungry, so off we went. And we were pleasantly surprised! The decor inside does lean a little sporty and I ve never been there in the middle of a popular sportsball game, but it s otherwise just a normal restaurant. The food is really good and consistent, the prices are reasonable (especially during happy hour and Wednesday wings night) and the service is always spot on. They do a great burger, Caesar salad, wings, pan fried haddock, etc. It s now one of our regular spots in the neighbourhood and the usual answer to, Ugh I don t feel like cooking tonight. Where should we go to eat?

Very nice place. The food was good and well priced, service prompt and very friendly. Only drawback, acoustics are very loud on a busy Saturday night. Not conducive to a conversation really.

Not bad. Theyve got friendly staff. Food is standard, nothing too fancy - its a pretty safe option. They have a kids menu and you will certainly find something you like. Awesome waiters , hands down. First time there for a work party , was really good food and everything was hot and fresh. Would recommend 100% !

The cutlery we received was so dirty we had to change our order from dine in to take out. food was bland, do not come here and definitely don t order the lobster pasta or the chicken parmesan or the cutlery.

I really and truly believe this is the greatest restaurant and pub I have ever been to in Canada. Full disclosure: I am from Toronto and my friend works here. It was the most welcoming environment I have ever entered. I had had quite an arduous journey. There is a view that looks like a Van Gogh painting and there is ocean water, boats and ducks. An incredible view of downtown Halifax. I am slowly going through the entire menu and I haven t found a mediocre dish yet. Nicest and friendliest staff in the world but I suspect that is because they are all from Dartmouth - friendliest and most beautiful city in Canada.

I went to millstone Restaurant today I ordered 2 orders of chickenwings &calamari they were awesome allways perfect never over done my complements to the staff your awesome

Disappointing first experience. I ordered the chicken sliders and Caesar salad for pickup. I m only 5 minutes away. My chicken slider was cold and the cheese was hard. The Caesar dressing was terrible. I called and only complained about the dressing and they thanked me for the info but didn t offer any resolution. Wouldn t recommend for takeout or delivery.

My experience was okay but not great this time around. Cocktails ordered were good. We ordered nachos and it was a small portion for $18. I was even more unimpressed because the few chips on top were whole and had toppings but the rest underneath were broken chip crumbs that we couldnt pick up and we couldnt dip into salsa or sour cream. When she came to take our plate, there was quite a bit left unfinished and she asked if we were done. I commented that it was difficult to eat those chips and it looked like we got the bottom of the bag for chips. She replied that someone has to get the bottom of the bag. I dont think she shouldve served the nachos like that and it was bad service. We definitely did not enjoy the nachos. Finding a parking spot was a challenge as well. Bruschetta was good.

I just have to say WOW! I got the fish tacos and my fiancée got the cheese dip. Both the best weve ever had! We were in halifax for 3 nights, had 6 meals and this was by the far the best one. Cant wait to go back! Food

The signature haddock dish was absolutely perfect, would highly recommend. The server was very attentive and gave great recommendations, hence the haddock. They accommodated and made a gluten free version of the haddock for my grandmother who is celiac. Lots of tasty cocktails and beer as well. I love it here. The patio is the perfect spot to grab lunch and the atmosphere is awesome. Try the pretzel bites! By far the best appetizer

Chicken Curry Vindaloo was amazing! I m never disappointed with the food when I come here. The atmosphere on the water is delightful. The service was a little slow this time but other than that, it was a great dining experience.

I have eaten the signature Haddock numerous times because it is good enough to blow your mind . The Curried Chicken Vinderloo is great too, despite the fact that this is not an Indian food establishment.Great views of the harbor are a plus.The meals I have had there are about the best anywhere~you start to scrape your plate.The reason I gave the service a 3 , is not due to the service on the many times I have been there , but because One waitress, gave me a really evil eye , disgusted look , for checking out the historic sports exhibits there. I thought that is why they are there??You would have got a perfect 5 across the board if I was not snided upon for my curiosity for the bygone era of sports.If it were not for that instance , the service would have been a 4 , but just because the sever asked toooo many questions, while I am trying to talk to the person I brought there Parking: I found parking

Great family restaurant with very fine food. Dog friendly on patio which is a nice grassed area with picnic tables. We had great food and very attentive service.

Our experience seemed to be out of the ordinary. Would have loved to try the lobster fettucine, but after the waitress took our order, after about 15 minut3s sever returned to let us know they were out of lobster. Ordered fish instead, which when arrived was served with cold rice. It was late and while we felt bad for what seemed the only sever at the restaurant, they seemed uninterested and after finally dropping off the food that was the last we saw of them until paying the bill. As this seem like an atypical experience would love to return some time and try the lobster fettucine.

Went there for the patio experience. Pictures online looked beautiful. The view from the patio wasnt as good as expected. Was quite disappointed. Nothing special with the patio considering it along the water. Would recommend enjoying a patio in halifax better. Food was good, Service was okay. Nothing bad. it just seemed like a newbie. A little awkward. Parking: You have the call to get the code for the gate to the parking lot.

Stopped in with my wife and daughter while visiting downtown Dartmouth. From top to bottom the experience was great, from our server Lauren to the delicious salty fries. Being right on the water was a hit, especially with my daughter who spent the entire time watching the boats come and go.

Dont order the chicken Caesar salad. it was overpriced. The chicken was dry and bland and the caesar dressing was flavourless. For 2 of the salads and glass of wine($5Happy Hour) our dinner was $58! Plus tip. Would not ever go there again for a salad.

Ive been impressed with millstone public house in the past so when ordering dinner tonight this was an easy choice, however I will not be returning to this location again. After waiting 15 minutes at the entrance, someone else came in and was immediately greeted their takeout order was taken and they were offered a beer. We still were not greeted. We had to approach the bar to ask for our food. I am not happy with the service and Im also not impressed either the serving size for 30 dollars. All around unimpressed.

LOVE this Spot. Amazing quaint & quiet waterfront Dining where we didnt have to cross the bridge over to the buslin Halifax Boardwalk. Ok -finally found a menu with Caesar Salad not as an expensive upcharge to your meal -EVEN BETTER is you can get it with Fries still!!! Half n Half is just enough. Nice having multiple tastes on the Pallette. Also have Ice Cream Sammies for only $1 but the food was so damn good we were Full!!! Blackened Chicken Sammy was Absolutely Amazing on a fresh Ciabatta Bun. Superb. Fries Superb. Gravy -meh (BUT was only $1 extra and still better then most). WILL BE BACK.

I ve Always loved it here but suddenly there s an extra charge for every little thing. Why are you now charging for your birthday brownie, kids brownie that should come with the meal and FIVE dollars to switch to a mashed potato?! My whole family comes here for all of our birthday dinners and we were completely shocked at the sneaky little charges. The waitress handled it amazing though. This is not a good look on this restaurant it s too bad because it s our favourite but we are highly disappointed.

Cool, cozy place for mature people and business professionals.

Great meal. I had the veggie burger and my partner the Millhouse burger with fries and Ceasar salad. It was happy hour, and the Coors on tap was nice and cold. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Usually, I go to the Public Millhouse on Gary Martin, so it was nice to see great service here at Kings Wharf.

My son and myself were guest at Millstone Jan 13. It is a relaxing, calming atmosphere with little nooks to sit in for your privacy. The view along the windows was wonderful. Growing up in the area I had never seen the Harbour from this view point. The restaurants staff were very knowledgeable in their menu and made great suggests for drinks. I had the fish and chips which the fish was cook perfect on the 1st piece, glistening white fish and nice crunch batter. The 2nd not so much, it was dry and burnt tasting. In all it was an enjoyable time, the food for the most part was good and their tarter sauce, not homemade, was the best I have tasted. Thank you I will return

We popped in for some drinks on a weeknight. Place has a great atmosphere, friendly staff and the drinks were reasonably priced. Cant wait to check out that patio this summer!

We went here on Saturday this past week for the first time. My first impression was the space was great Indoors and loved the patio outside. Staff were very friendly and welcoming our server was awesome and we cracked a lot of jokes during the service. The menu options are great there are a ton of items I wanted to try. I was disappointed that a good 3-4 of the items on the menu were not available. I would have definitely tried their donair dip if it was available. We ordered the pretzel and cheese appetizer and it was a fairly good portion and was enjoyable. For entrees it took about 45-50 minutes after we finished appetizer. I could understand that if the restaurant is busy but there was only a handful of people in the restaurants. The entrees were great and really enjoyed the burger. I would def come back again to try other menu options if they were available!

Great atmosphere with some tasty cocktails and really good food. The portions were much bigger than I was expecting. I like the fact that when ordering from the burger/sandwich section they offered you fries and a salad. It was a small thing but I appreciated having both included.

Server was excellent and super accommodating and I misplaced my receipt and they sent me a copy days later. Also has an absolutely beautiful view and the food was top tier

Its important to note thant you can park in the lot at the end of the roundabout, there are a bunch of sines saying you cant but they are referring to overnight parking. We found the fish sliders on a biscuit bun fresh and crispy, Caesar salad felt like a good stake house Caesar. Wings are half-price on Wednesday and whale the wings are well made, the reliance on commercial sauces and dips really lets them. The sweet chili tasted like it was straight out of a bottle, and the blue cheese dip is so thin and has so little blue cheese flavor that I suspect its made by Kraft. Service was excellent, and the music was the perfect volume to have a conversation.

We had dinner here a few weeks ago and it was great. The food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient. The view of the harbour was an added benefit.

Skip delivery person either delivered my food to the wrong address or stole my order. When I contacted the restaurant they were unsympathetic and didnt seem to care about my concerns regarding their delivery service or whether I got my food at all. Both times Ive ordered from this restaurant I have had issues, and I wont be coming back.

Relaxed atmosphere. Not a Pub but a Gastropub. The food was top notch. Only down side is we have no room for dessert... Cest la vie.

Food and drinks were good. Server we had was pleasant. The couple we were with never got their appetizer they ordered and I didnt get any fries with my fish tacos, (pretty sure you were to get that or rice on the menu) didnt clue in about the fries until afterwards. Oh well they arent good for me anyway. Maybe it was a sign, LOL. The first choice of appetizer they wanted, they were out of, so decided on another, and never got it. Friends werent charged for the appetizer, so thats good. We sat outside, I was a bit worried because the wind picked up, but their walls really helped block the wind. We were sat in the corner and the speaker was on ground right behind us, so it made it difficult to hear our own conversation. Ill definitely go back to try again, and keep the previous issue in mind, so we can enjoy it a bit more. Edit - we were there Monday night at 7pm. July 18. It was mildly busy.

Great experience. The seafood chowder was very good! It comes with homemade bread that balances well with the creaminess of the soup. We also shared the lobster linguini which was good but not exceptional (unlike the seafood chowder). Too bad they didnt offer lobster rolls. The view from the terrace offers a double perspective of Halifax Harbor as well as Dartmouth Harbour. I recommend this place!

I wish there was an option for a super rating above 5 stars because this place deserves it. Please take note that this is the kings warf location, because the food varies from location to location, baker drive is (ordered there about 5 times and gave up on them for multiple reasons) but this is supposed to be a positive review! The staff wrote a cute note on the bag, and the food was ON POINT! I would go back today if I wasnt broke. They even thru in a little extra something something just being nice. Love this place, love the staff and I highly recommend it!!

Went on Canada Day and sat on the patio. Blackened chicken club was really tasty. Great selection of local beer. Everyone enjoyed the meals they got. The kids meal was brought out quickly, was a decent size and food quality. Have been to some of their other locations, this was the first time at Kings Wharf. Would recommend, the food and service have always been good when 3ver we have gone to a Millstone.

Went there for the patio but it was in the shade and quite cool inspite of the warm temperatures. Ate inside and it was A/C cool and music and conversation noisy. The food was average, the beer cold and the bill expensive.

Wonderful dinner and views. The burger with candied bacon was one of the best burgers Ive ever had. Excellent fries too. The halibut was perfectly done and tasty. Kids were happy with the kids menu. We also tried dessert but they were surprisingly not very good. Brownie with ice cream had overly sweet brownies and chocolate sauce. Chocolate mousse cake was frozen and generic. Stick to savory and youll have outstanding meal. Design of the place is nice with lots of windows for the view. It was too cold for the patio. Their a/c was on and apparently they cant control it but they did provide us with blankets. The rating is for main meal only.

Our first visit to this location and food was as good as the other location we frequent often. Lovely on the patio. Great harbour view. Our favourite dish is the Millstones Signature Haddock with the cajun haddock. Fabulous flavours! Hard to order anything else. Love that you can get half salad and half fries with burgers. And the Candied Burger is my favourite and I eat it without a bun and still love it!! So now we know both locations are lovely. Friendly service and great food!

Great brunch and service

We arrived on a Saturday around 1:45, waited at the hostess station for about 3 minutes, no one in sight we moved to the main dining room /bar where a server acknowledged us. We asked if we could sit on the patio, he cheerfully greeted us and said yes it s open seating. Once seated, the server was seated (yes seated) across from us heavily engaged in a conversation with her friends, we waited over 15 minutes when finally the friendly server from inside brought us menus and water. The patio had about 4 tables so it took another 10 minutes for him to come back and take our drink order, and another 10 to take our food order. I asked about the wing and mussel, the server suggested the mussels; stating they were larger than most restaurants and quite popular, so I ordered the curry coconut mussels and my friend the burger. When the food finally arrived, the mussels were shrivelled, dry, cooked to death and covered in the curry sauce as if to mask this obvious amateur attempt. I m sorry but for $17 I d expect them to be plump and juicy, it is the Maritimes! So I sent them back, a few minutes later the server joyfully returned with a fresh plate, and said these were cooked better. I don t know by who s standard? Anyway we d been there almost an hour I was hungry so I ate them. I then asked for a piece of bread to dip in the sauce ( the only good part of the dish) and was informed I d have to purchase it. I almost died laughing. In short my experience at the Mill Stone Public House was Mediocre at best. The seasonal special lemonade was good. Our server was good, although we weren t offered any specials and I don t know if they have any. But sadly I won t return.

Enjoyed a tasty dinner in air conditioned comfort on a very hot and humid day. The sangria was popular with many in our group. I enjoyed the fried chicken sliders.

Good lord the food here is excellent. Best seafood chowder we had anywhere. A bit on the slow side for service but worth it.

Asked for pink in the middle, got a black steak cooked through

Really nice location. The staff were friendly. The food is just OK. The fish and chips were overdone - which is a rarity in Nova Scotia... and they spilled one of the meals onto my wife, putting sauce all over her pants and sandals... And then offered us a free dessert where most places would have comped the meal. I would not go back. Too many other great places to go in the area.

Great watering hole on the waterfront always with a selection from local breweries, cider, etc. Easily accessible from Downtown Dartmouth, or Halifax if you are coming for a walk on the Darkside. Meal portions are huge!

Something about this place. Very great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great prices. Very enjoyable time. Highly recommend!

Hit and miss. Sometimes the service & food are great and sometimes they are terrible! I guess it depends on day & the staff?

Tons of mice running around in the evening on the outside patio but such is the water front interesting experience exempting the abundance of mice my experience was really really dope food was cooked to perfection and I want waiting a life time worth the visit

Lovely Harbour view, good menu, attentive service. Parking can be an issue.

Dinner was delicious. Wait staff are awesome. Parking is difficult. We parked several blocks away and walked.great view of the inlet/ harbour, depending on what side you are seated.

Nice ambiance, excellent server, prompt service. Even dialed down the PA music in our section when we asked. Good patio, even on cool nights.

Great experience, service was bang on, food was terrific. My wife got very excited over spinach salad of all things lol.

Popped in to grab a bite to each for Lunch, the food as always was great, and aside from a debit machine glitch, it was a perfect lunchtime visit. And hats off to the staff who were fantastic.

One of the best dining experiences weve had in Nova Scotia. The food was delicious, the atmosphere, (décor, lighting, music) was very inviting. The service was excellent. we will be returning again and again. The pretzel bites and dip are a winner to start with. Signature haddock is delicious! Buttermilk fried chicken is mouthwatering, and Im not a french fry lover, but their fries are really really good!! Great job Millstone, you impressed me!
